Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for a floor drain arranged at a distance from a wall in the floor of a room.Such floor drains are generally used in showers of the same floor type, wherein often gutter-shaped drain bodies are used. Up to now, for creating a shower of the same floor, it is necessary for a shower plate or a shower board to be equipped with a multi-sided gradient toward the outlet. The same applies in the case of a configuration with a gradient line. In the case of a drain in the middle of the shower area, a so-called central drain, four downslope areas are generally formed. In the case of a run-off close to the wall, either three or four downslope regions are worked out. In the case of three downgrade regions, the first region is located on the side opposite the wall. The two further regions are arranged to the left and right of the channel-shaped outlet body in the longitudinal direction of the latter. Occasionally, there is also a short, fourth gradient region between the channel body and the wall.It has proven to be problematic in this case that the formation of a plurality of gradient regions in the screed or in a shower plate causes a high manual or mechanical outlay. In addition, adapting the tile level to the various gradient situations is demanding.DE 10 2013 001 234 A1 discloses a device for a floor drain arranged in the vicinity of a wall. This device has an L-shaped cross section, wherein a horizontal leg and a vertical leg adjoining it are provided. Upper inclined surfaces and an opening are formed on the horizontal leg through which water can flow into the floor drain arranged below the device.US 2011 / 0197351 A1 discloses a shower tray module which can be provided with a flat, disabled additional module. The add-on module has inclined surfaces and a central opening for the passage of water. Tiles are applied to both the surface of the shower tray module and the surface of the add-on module prior to use.DE 10 2006 030 481 B4 discloses a shower tray consisting of enameled metal. The surface of the shower tray is inclined toward a central opening. Both the shower tray and the opening may be more extended in a first horizontal direction than in a second horizontal direction perpendicular thereto. The exterior sides of the shower tray can be adjoined by the tile floor of a bathroom. The problem underlying the present invention is the provision of a device of the type mentioned at the beginning which simplifies the assembly of a floor drain. This is achieved by a device of the type mentioned at the beginning with the features of claim 1. The dependent claims relate to preferred embodiments of the invention.According to claim 1, the device comprises an opening for the passage of water into the floor drain arranged below the device and a plurality of upper surfaces in the use position, which upper surfaces are inclined with respect to the horizontal in the installed state of the device, so that the water can flow via the inclined upper surfaces to the opening, wherein the device is expanded in a first direction than in a second and a third direction, which are perpendicular to the first direction and to one another, wherein the first and the second direction are arranged in the horizontal in the installed state of the device and the third direction corresponds to the vertical, wherein the opening for the passage of water into the floor drain is expanded in the first direction than in the second and the third direction, wherein the device comprises only one leg, wherein the leg is horizontally oriented in the installed state of the device and has the upper surfaces on its upper side extending in the first and second direction, wherein the leg has the opening, wherein the device is configured such that the leg is surrounded on all sides in the installed state by floor tiles lying against it on its longitudinal sides located in the planes spanned in the first and third directions and on its transverse sides located in the planes spanned in the second and third directions, wherein the leg of the device is elongated and has a first and a second of the upper surfaces in each case starting from one of its longitudinal sides, which surfaces have a gradient both in the first direction and in the second direction toward the opening, wherein the first and the second surface also on the longitudinal sides both in the first direction, as well as having a gradient in the second direction toward the opening, wherein the gradients of the first and the second surface are introduced into the leg, so that the gradients are formed on the device independently of the installation position, and wherein the device has an extension in the third direction between 5 mm and 30 mm. The gradient of the upper surfaces arranged on the longitudinal sides can, for example, continue the gradient of tiles which can be laid around the device. In this way, the discharge of the water is optimized. Due to the height or extent between 5 mm and 30 mm, the device can be integrated into the tile covering of the floor, so that, on the one hand, an appealing design results and, on the other hand, the device can be mounted together with the tiles on the screed. The invention provides the handman and shower tray manufacturers with the ability to use less gradient. For example, only two opposing slopes in the second direction corresponding to the transverse direction of the device need be provided. In contrast, the device can have such a large extent in its longitudinal direction that the water is effectively discharged in this direction. This reduces the effort involved in screed and shower plate production. In addition, the work for producing the tile level in the region of the various changes in gradient is dispensed with.It can be provided that the device has a multiple gradient contour on its upper side.Despite its possibly small dimensions in the transverse direction, the device according to the invention can effectively reduce the outlay on labour or production for the screed or a shower plate. It is possible that a third and / or a fourth of the inclined upper surfaces in the position of use only has a gradient in the first direction with respect to the horizontal. It can be provided that the first and the second of the upper surfaces are designed as free-form surfaces. The plurality of different slopes formed in the prior art on the screed or in a shower plate or a shower board can thus be formed at least to a large extent on the device according to the invention. It may be provided that the device comprises a cover which partially covers the opening. It can be provided here that the cover has at least one outlet opening or that the cover is surrounded by a circumferential gap which opens into the opening. The circumferential gap or the, for example, slot-shaped outlet opening can be made so narrow that they are hardly visible to the observer. It can be provided that the device is substantially formed in one piece. Here, substantially one-piece means the horizontal leg provided with the at least one inclined upper surface and the opening plus, if appropriate, a cover for reducing the outflow opening. It can be provided that the device has an extension in the third direction between 5 mm and 10 mm. In this way, the device can be integrated into the tile covering of the floor, so that on the one hand an appealing design results and on the other hand the device can be mounted together with the tiles on the screed.Further features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. Shown therein are FIG. 1 shows a top view of a first embodiment of a device according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the embodiment according to FIG. 1 ; FIG. 3 shows a top view of a second embodiment of a device according to the invention; FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the embodiment according to FIG. 3.In the figures, identical or functionally identical parts are provided with identical reference numerals. Furthermore, Cartesian coordinate systems are drawn in some of the figures for simpler orientation. In FIGS. 1 to 4 two embodiments of a device 22 according to the invention are shown, which are to be arranged at a distance from the wall, for example in the middle of a room. The device 22 according to FIGS. 1 to 4 extends substantially in a plane which corresponds to the horizontal in the installed state. The device 22 has only one horizontal leg 5. In this case, the device 22 is more extended in the first direction X than in the second direction Y perpendicular thereto (see FIG. 11 or 3 ).The horizontal leg 5 surrounded by the device 22 can be surrounded on all sides by floor tiles resting against it in the installed state. The horizontal leg 5 of the device 22 has an opening 8 in the center, which in the installed position extends substantially in the X direction and through the horizontal leg 5 downward or in the negative Z direction (see FIGS. 2 and 4 ). Waste water can pass through the opening 8 into a drain installed below the device 22.It is entirely possible for the opening 8 not to be arranged centrally in the horizontal limb, but to be arranged eccentrically, for example on the edge side. The embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has a cover 28, which can be applied or introduced onto or into the horizontal leg 5 in the region of the opening 8. In the cover 28 at least one outlet opening 23 is arranged, which opens into the opening 8, through which the water can flow off to the outlet (not shown) arranged below the device. This at least one outlet opening 23 is likewise slot-like in the exemplary embodiment depicted and extends predominantly in the X direction. The parts of the cover 28 that are arranged next to the drain opening 23 in the Y direction have a gradient in the Y direction toward the drain opening 23. There is a possibility that the parts of the cover 28 that are arranged next to the drain opening 23 in the X direction have a gradient in the X direction toward the drain opening 23.It is also possible for the outlet opening 23 to extend both in the X direction and in the Y direction. In the example depicted, the outlet opening 23 is arranged centrally.Alternatively, this at least one outlet opening 23 could also be arranged on the edge side. Instead of at least one slot-shaped outlet opening, one or more differently configured, for example circular or rectangular outlet openings 23 can also be arranged in the cover 28.The embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 differs from that according to FIGS. 1 and 2 substantially in the design of the cover 29. this cover 29 does not have a drain opening, but is designed and installed in the device 22 according to FIGS. 3 and 4 or the horizontal leg 5 in such a way that the water can drain through a gap 30 surrounding the cover 29. The gap 30 is formed between the inner sides of the horizontal leg 5 facing the opening 8 and the outer sides of the cover 29.In both embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the horizontal leg 5 has a plurality of upper surfaces 24, 25, 26, 27. Two third and fourth surfaces 24, 25 extend from the front ends of the horizontal leg 5 inwardly as far as the opening 8, which surfaces 24, 25 have a gradient in the first direction X. The third and fourth surfaces 24, 25 occupy the entire width of the horizontal leg 5 at the end face, whereas they become narrower as the distance from the opening 8 decreases. Two first and second surfaces 26, 27 each extend along one of the longitudinal sides of the horizontal leg 5. the first and second surfaces 26, 27 adjoin the first and second surfaces 24, 25 on the outside in a region outside the opening 8 and adjoin the opening 8 on the outside in the region of the opening 8. The first and second surfaces 26, 27 are formed as free-form surfaces and are inclined towards the opening 8 both in the X direction and in the Y direction. The first and second surfaces 26, 27 and the cover 28 may be shaped to continue inclination of the floor tiles on the first and second surfaces 26, 27 and / or the cover 28.The device 22 or the horizontal leg 5 of the device 22 preferably has a length in the X direction of 100 mm to 2500 mm. The device 22 or the horizontal leg 5 of the device 22 preferably has a width in the Y direction of 10 mm to 250 mm. The device 22 or the horizontal leg 5 of the device 22 has a height in the Z direction of 5 mm to 30 mm.The height of the device 22 or of the horizontal limb 5 in the Z direction thus corresponds to the usual thicknesses of floor tiles for baths. A device according to the invention can thus be integrated into the tile covering. In particular, it is possible for the device 22 or the height of the horizontal leg 5 to have a height in the Z direction of between 5 mm and 10 mm, wherein with thicker floor tiles, underlays can be used under the device. Heights of the device 22 or of the horizontal limb 5 in the Z direction below 5 mm are of little use because then a gradient can no longer be introduced into the horizontal limb 5.The device 22 or the horizontal leg 5 of the device 22 thus has a substantially greater extension in its longitudinal direction, which corresponds to the X direction in the figures, than in its transverse direction in the Y direction or than in the vertical Z direction. The horizontal legs 5 can consist of metal and / or plastic. The connecting piece and / or the cover 28, 29 can also consist of metal and / or plastic. In particular, it can be provided to produce some or all of the components mentioned from chromium-plated brass in order to achieve a particularly appealing exterior. However, it is also possible to produce some or all of the components mentioned from renewable raw materials.
