Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONTechnical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a macro lens system suitable for electronic cameras such as digital cameras, video cameras, broadcast cameras and security cameras, and an imaging device equipped with the macro lens system. State of the art
[0002] Conventional macro lens systems exist with close-up imaging at image magnification ratios of approximately 1x as their primary purpose.
[0003] These macro lens systems are capable of continuously focusing from an object at infinity to an object at a closest distance, where the image magnification ratio is approximately 1x. The macro lens systems are designed to achieve high optical performance when imaging objects at close distances.
[0004] Generally, the floating focus method, in which two or more lens groups are moved during focusing operations, is used to suppress variations in aberration accompanying the focusing operations.
[0005] Traditionally, the front-focusing type of focusing operation, in which the lens group closest to the object is moved forward, was used. However, when imaging an object at the closest distance, the lens will move closer to the object, thereby degrading performance. In addition, when a large-diameter first lens group is moved, high-speed focusing becomes difficult due to the heavy weight of the first lens group. In addition, there was a problem that longitudinal chromatic aberrations become large when performing close-distance imaging at a magnification of approximately 1x.
[0006] Recently, imaging lenses employing the floating focus method, in which a first lens group is fixed and focusing operations are performed by moving a plurality of other lens groups, have been used. Other focusing methods that move three or more lens groups to further suppress aberration variations due to focusing operations have been proposed in Patent Documents 1 and 2. [Prior art documents][Patent documents] [Patent Document 1]Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication JP 2012-058682 A [Patent Document 2] Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication JP 2011-048232 A SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] The focusing method disclosed in Patent Document 1 requires a large number of lenses, resulting in the weight of the lens system itself becoming large, which is disadvantageous from the point of view of portability.
[0008] The focusing method disclosed in Patent Document 2 uses a lens system with a small number of lenses and is relatively light, but cannot be called compact.
[0009] Another macro lens system is known from patent document US 8,446,678 B2.

[0033] An imaging device according to the invention is characterized in that it is equipped with the macro lens system according to the invention.
[0034] It should be noted that the term “consists essentially of” means that the macro lens system may include, in addition to the lenses mentioned above as constituents, lenses having virtually no refractive power, optical elements other than lenses such as a diaphragm, a mask, a glass cover and a filter, mechanical components such as lens flanges, a lens barrel, an imaging element, and a camera shake correction mechanism.

[0038] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying figures. Fig.1 is a collection of sectional diagrams illustrating the lens configuration of a macro lens system according to an embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. Figure 2 is a diagram illustrating the motion trajectories of each lens group of the macro lens system. Fig. 1 and Fig. The macro lens system illustrated in Figure 2 has the same configuration as the macro lens system of Example 1, which will be described later. Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 the left side is the object side and the right side is the image side.
[0039] As in Fig. 1 and Fig.As illustrated in Figure 2, the macro lens system includes, in this order from the object side along an optical axis Z, a first lens group G1 with a positive refractive power, a second lens group G2 with a negative refractive power, a third lens group G3 with a positive refractive power, an aperture stop St, a fourth lens group G4 with a positive refractive power, a fifth lens group G5 with a positive refractive power, and a sixth lens group G6 with a negative refractive power. The macro lens system is configured such that the second lens group G2, the fourth lens group G4, and the fifth lens group G5 are moved independently of each other along the direction of their optical axes when focusing from an object at infinity to an object at a closest distance. It should be noted that the aperture stop St in the drawings does not necessarily represent the size or shape of the aperture stop, but indicates the position of the stop along the optical axis Z.
[0040] When the macro lens system is mounted on an imaging device, it is preferable to provide a glass cover, a prism, and various filters such as an infrared ray cut-off filter and a low-pass filter between the optical system and the imaging surface Sim. Therefore, Fig. 1 shows an example in which a plane-parallel optical element PP is provided between the lens system and the imaging surface Sim, which takes into account the arrangement of such filters.
[0041] Variations in aberration during focusing operations can be suppressed and favorable image focusing performance can be achieved by configuring the macro lens system with six groups which are, in order from the object side, positive, negative, positive, positive, and negative, and by independently moving the second lens group G2, the fourth lens group G4, and the fifth lens group 5G in the direction of their optical axes during focusing operations as described above.
[0042] In addition, by forming the first lens group G1 with three lenses L11 to L13, the number of lenses with large outer diameters in the first lens group G1 can be reduced, which contributes to miniaturization, cost reduction and weight reduction.
[0043] In the macro lens system of the present embodiment, it is preferable that the first lens group G1 is composed, in this order from the object side, of a cemented lens formed by a negative lens L11 and a positive lens L12 with a convex cemented surface facing the object side, and a positive lens L13L. By providing such a cemented lens, axial chromatic aberrations can be suppressed across an entire screen. In addition, spherical aberrations can be suppressed by providing the positive lens L13.
[0044] Furthermore, it is preferable that the first lens group includes at least one positive lens, and that at least one positive lens satisfies the following conditional formulas (1) and (2). Conditional formulas (1) and (2) are formulas relating to the refractive index and Abbe number of the positive lens of the first lens group G1. When the positive lens satisfies conditional formulas (1) and (2), it becomes possible to perform well-balanced correction of chromatic aberrations when imaging objects at infinity and when imaging objects at closest distances. It should be noted that even more favorable characteristics can be obtained when the positive lens satisfies conditional formulas (1) and (2-1). N1d<1.60 60.0 <v1d 65.0 <v1d where N1d denotes the refractive index of the positive lens in the first lens group with respect to the d-line and v1d denotes the Abbe number of the positive lens in the first lens group with respect to the d-line.
[0045] Additionally, it is preferable that the second lens group includes a cemented lens formed by a negative lens and a positive lens and satisfies the following conditional formula (3). Conditional formula (3) refers to the Abbe number of the cemented lens in the second lens group G2. When the second lens group satisfies conditional formula (3), it becomes possible to perform well-balanced correction of chromatic aberrations when imaging objects at infinity and when imaging objects at close distances. Note that even more favorable characteristics can be obtained when the second lens group satisfies conditional formula (3-1). 25.0 <v2dn−v2dp 30.0 <v2dn−v2dp where v2dp denotes the Abbe number of the positive lens forming the cemented lens of the second lens group with respect to the d-line and v2dn denotes the Abbe number of the negative lens forming the cemented lens of the second lens group with respect to the d-line.
[0046] Additionally, it is preferable if the third lens group is formed from a single positive lens and satisfies the following conditional formula (4). Conditional formula (4) refers to the Abbe number of the positive lens in the third lens group G3. When the third lens group satisfies conditional formula (4), it becomes possible to achieve well-balanced correction of chromatic aberrations when imaging objects at infinity and when imaging objects at close distances. Note that even more favorable performance can be achieved when the third lens group satisfies conditional formula (4-1). v3d<30.0 v3d<25.0 where v3d is the Abbe number of the positive lens of the third lens group with respect to the d-line.
[0047] In addition, it is preferable if the macro lens system satisfies the following conditional formula (5). Conditional formula (5) refers to the refractive power of the third lens group G3. The refractive power of the third lens group G3 can be prevented from becoming too strong, and spherical aberrations can be favorably corrected if the refractive power of the third lens group G3 is not less than the lower limit of conditional formula (5). In addition, if the refractive power of the third lens group G3 does not exceed the upper limit of conditional formula (5), the refractive power of the third lens group G3 can be prevented from becoming too weak, and the outer diameters of the moving lens groups can be kept small, resulting in weight reduction and high-speed focusing operations. It should be noted that even more favorable properties can be obtained if the following conditional formula (5-1) and particularly preferably conditional formula (5-2) are satisfied. 0.5 <f3 / f<1,0 0.6 <f3 / f<0,9 0.65 <f3 / f<0,8 where f is the focal length when focusing on an object at infinity, and f3 is the focal length of the third lens group.
[0048] In addition, favorable correction of aberrations becomes possible without increasing the number of lenses by making at least one surface within the first lens group and within the second lens group aspherical, which contributes to miniaturization and weight reduction of the imaging lens system.
[0049] In addition, it is preferable if the macro lens system satisfies the following conditional formula (6). Conditional formula (6) refers to the refractive power of the fourth lens group G4. If the refractive power of the fourth lens group G4 is not less than the lower limit of conditional formula (6), the refractive power of the fourth lens group G4 can be prevented from becoming too strong and variations in aberrations can be suppressed. In addition, if the refractive power of the fourth lens group G4 does not exceed the upper limit of conditional formula (6), the refractive power of the fourth lens group G4 can be prevented from becoming too weak and the range of movement during focusing operations can be reduced, resulting in a shortening of the overall length of the lens system. It should be noted that even more favorable characteristics can be obtained if conditional formula (6-1) is satisfied. 1.0 <f4 / f<2,0 1.1 <f4 / f<1,8 where f is the focal length when focusing on an object at infinity, and f4 is the focal length of the fourth lens group.
[0050] Additionally, it is preferable that the fourth lens group and the fifth lens group are moved toward the object side along their optical axes when focusing from an object at infinity to an object at a closest distance, and that the macro lens system satisfies the following conditional formula (7). Conditional formula (7) refers to the movement ranges of the fourth lens group G4 and the fifth lens group G5 during focusing operations. Axial chromatic aberrations can be favorably corrected if the movement ranges satisfy conditional formula (7). Note that even more favorable characteristics can be obtained if the movement ranges satisfy the following conditional formula (7-1), and more preferably, conditional formula (7-2). 0.7 <D4 / D5<1,5 0.8 <D4 / D5<1,3 0.9 <D4 / D5<1,1 where D4 denotes the amount of focusing movement of the fourth lens group from a state where an object at infinity is in focus to a state where an object at a closest distance is in focus, and D5 denotes the amount of focusing movement of the fifth lens group from a state where an object at infinity is in focus to a state where an object at a closest distance is in focus.
[0051] Furthermore, it is preferred if the fourth lens group has a cemented lens formed by a negative lens and a positive lens on the side closest to the object side. This allows for the effective correction of longitudinal chromatic aberrations (longitudinal chromatic aberrations) that arise when the object distance changes.
[0052] In this case, it is preferable if the macro lens system satisfies the following conditional formula (8). Conditional formula (8) refers to the Abbe numbers of the lenses constituting the cemented lens in the fourth lens group G4. Axial chromatic aberrations can be favorably corrected, from imaging an object at infinity to imaging an object at a closest distance, if the Abbe numbers of the lenses satisfy conditional formula (8). Note that even more favorable performance can be obtained if the Abbe numbers satisfy the following conditional formula (8-1), and more preferably, conditional formula (8-2). 20 <v4dp−v4dn 25 <v4dp−v4dn 30 <v4dp−v4dn where v4dp denotes the Abbe number of the positive lens forming the cemented lens of the fourth lens group with respect to the d-line and v4dn denotes the Abbe number of the negative lens forming the cemented lens of the fourth lens group with respect to the d-line.
[0053] It is preferable for the distance between the fourth lens group and the fifth lens group to increase and then decrease when focusing from an object at infinity to an object at a closest distance. This allows field curvature to be effectively corrected over the entire range from an object at infinity to an object at a closest distance.
[0054] Additionally, it is preferable if the fourth lens group has two positive lenses and if the macro lens system satisfies the following conditional formula (9). Conditional formula (9) refers to the Abbe number of the positive lenses of the fourth lens group G4. Axial chromatic aberrations and chromatic aberrations of magnification of objects at close distances can be favorably corrected if the Abbe numbers of the positive lenses of the fourth lens group G4 satisfy conditional formula (9). 60.0 <v4d where v4d is the average Abbe number of the positive lenses in the fourth lens group with respect to the d-line.
[0055] It is preferable that the total number of lenses constituting the lens groups that move during focusing operations is 7 or less. This can reduce the weight of the moving lenses, contributing to high-speed focusing operations.
[0056] In the present macro lens system, the specifically preferred material for placement closest to the object is glass. Alternatively, a transparent ceramic material can be used.
[0057] Additionally, if the present macro lens system is to be used in harsh environments, it is preferable to provide a multilayer protective coating film. Furthermore, in addition to the protective coating, an anti-reflection coating may be applied to reduce ghost light or the like during use.
[0058] In the Fig. In the example illustrated in Figure 1, the optical element PP is provided between the lens system and the imaging surface Sim. Alternatively, various filters, such as a low-pass filter or filters that cut off specific wavelength bands, can be provided between the lenses instead of between the lens system and the imaging surface Sim. As a further alternative, coatings that perform the same functions as the various filters can be applied to the surfaces of the lenses.
[0059] The following describes the numerical values of examples of the macro lens system according to the present invention.
[0060] First, the macro lens system of Example 1 is described. Fig. 1 is a collection of sectional views illustrating the lens configuration of the macro lens system of Example 1, and Fig. Figure 2 is a diagram illustrating the movement trajectories of each lens group of the macro lens system of Example 1. It should be noted that the optical member PP in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, as well as in the Fig. 3 to 10, which correspond to Examples 2 to 5 to be described later. In these drawings, the left side is the object side, the right side is the image side, and the aperture stops St illustrated therein do not necessarily represent their size or shape, but indicate the positions of the stops along the optical axis Z.
[0061] Basic lens data of the macro lens system of Example 1 are shown in Table 1, data related to various factors are shown in Table 2, data related to distances between the moving surfaces are shown in Table 3, and data related to aspherical coefficients are shown in Table 4. Below, the symbols in the tables are described with reference to those of Example 1. The same basically applies to tables related to Examples 2 to 5.
[0062] In the lens data of Table 1, surface numbers i (i=1, 2, 3, ...) that increase sequentially, with the object-most surface of the constituent elements being designated as 1, are listed in the Si column; the radii of curvature of the i-th surfaces are listed in the Ri column; and distances between an i-th surface and an (i+l)-th surface are listed in the Di column. In addition, refractive indices with respect to the d-line (wavelength: 587.6 nm) of the optical elements j (j=1, 2, 3, ...) that increase sequentially, with the object-most optical element being designated as 1, are listed in the Ndj column; and the Abbe numbers with respect to the d-line (wavelength: 587.6 nm) of the j-th optical elements are listed in the vdj column.
[0063] It should be noted that the signs of the radii of curvature are positive in cases where the surface shapes are convex toward the object side, and negative in cases where the surface shapes are concave toward the object side. The basic lens data also includes data regarding the aperture stop St and the optical element PP. The word (stop) is given along with the surface number in the row of column Si corresponding to the aperture stop St. In addition, DD[i] is given in the rows of column Di, which correspond to surface distances that change with magnification changes. In addition, the value in the bottom row of column Di indicates the distance between the image-side surface of the optical element PP and the imaging surface Sim.
[0064] Focal lengths f', back focus values Bf', F-number F no. and full angles of view 2ω are listed for a condition when an object is imaged at infinity, for a condition when an object is imaged at a medium distance and for a condition when an object is imaged at a closest distance as the data regarding factors in Table 2.
[0065] In the basic lens data, the data regarding factors, and the data relating to the distances between the moving surfaces, degrees are used as the unit of angle and mm as the unit of length. However, since optical systems can be scaled and enlarged proportionally, other suitable units can be used.
[0066] In the lens data of Table 1, the "*" mark is added to surface numbers corresponding to aspherical surfaces, and the numerical values of the paraxial (near-axis) curvature radii are listed as the curvature radii of the aspherical surfaces. The surface numbers Si of the aspherical surfaces and aspherical coefficients related to the aspherical surfaces are listed in Table 4 as the data related to aspherical coefficients. The aspherical coefficients are the values of the coefficients KA and Am (m = 3, 4, 5, ..., 20) in the following aspherical formula (A). Zd=C⋅h2 / {1+(1−KA⋅C2⋅h2)1 / 2}+∑Am⋅hm where Zd represents the depth of the aspherical surface (the length of a line drawn from a point on the aspherical surface with a height h to a plane perpendicular to the optical axis contacting the vertex of the aspherical surface), h represents the height (the distance from the optical axis), C represents the inverse of the paraxial radius of curvature, and KA, Am represent aspherical coefficients (m = 3, 4, 5,..., 20).
