Abstract
Method for cleaning an endoscope with at least one channel (11, 31, 32) that may become contaminated during use, wherein the channel wall of the at least one channel (11, 31, 32) is formed from a material with photocatalytic properties, comprising the following steps: - connecting the endoscope to a reprocessing device (40), - performing a photocatalytic treatment at least in the at least one channel (11, 31, 32) for the purpose of decomposing organic residues on the channel surface, and - rinsing the endoscope, wherein the photocatalytic treatment is performed by passing a UV probe (80) at least through the at least one channel (11, 31, 32) by means of a propulsion device integrated in the UV probe (80) and actuated via a cable (81).
