Abstract
Fresh air distributor (1) for a fresh air system of an internal combustion engine, - with a distributor housing (3) defining a distributor interior (4), into which an intercooler (2) is inserted through a mounting opening (5) provided in the distributor housing (3), - wherein the charge air cooler (2) comprises a plurality of tube bodies (6) stacked on top of each other along a stacking direction (S) and through which a coolant (K) flows, - wherein the charge air cooler (2) is bounded along the stacking direction (S) by a first end plate (7b) and a second end plate (7b) opposite the first end plate (7a) in the stacking direction (S), between which the majority of tube bodies (6) are arranged, - with a sealing element (12) which is arranged in the distributor interior (4) and seals the charge air cooler (2) against the distributor housing (3), - wherein the sealing element (12) extends in the distributor housing (3) along a direction of extension (E) and has in profile perpendicular to this direction of extension (E) a base body (16) abutting the charge air cooler (2), from which two sealing bodies (17a, 17b) project apart from each other, which are integrally formed on the base body (16) and with their end (18) facing away from the base body (16) each abut the distributor housing (3), - wherein the sealing element (12) with the base body (16) and the two sealing bodies (17a, 17b) has a substantially U-shaped geometry in profile, characterized in that - the sealing element (12) as a whole has a U-shaped geometric form with a base section (13) and with a first and second leg section (14a, 14b), which preferably each form a right angle with the base section (13), - wherein the first leg section (14a) of the sealing element (12) is arranged in a space (10) between the charge air cooler (2) and the distributor housing (3) and is supported both on the first end plate (7a) and on the distributor housing (3), - wherein the second leg section (14b) of the sealing element (12) is arranged in the space (10) between the charge air cooler (2) and the distributor housing (3) and is supported both on the second end plate (7b) and on the distributor housing (3).
