Abstract
Description
Background of the invention 1. Field of the invention
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a covering unit for covering an object. 2. Description of the state of the art
[0002] It is known that various types of coverings exist for covering an object, such as coverings that form decorative surfaces and coverings that have the function of absorbing shocks, etc. Depending on the design and size of an object, designs in which several partial coverings are coupled together are sometimes also used.
[0003] For example, JP 4 905 308 B2 or JP 2014-95 314 A disclose an engine cover employing multiple sub-covers. In the engine cover, a recess belonging to a first sub-cover engages with an engagement projection belonging to a second sub-cover such that the first sub-cover and the second sub-cover are coupled to each other. Since high-hardness materials are generally used for the engine cover, the recess and the engagement projection, which engage with each other, generate sufficient engagement force for the engine cover.
[0004] US 6 398 594 B1 describes a ground fault receptacle housing for an electrical device having a support portion with a base and a wall extending from the base. The wall has an annular portion forming an outer channel extending therethrough. A cover portion is adapted to be connected to the support portion and has a front face with openings therein for access to the electrical device. A wall extends from the front face and includes a substantially inflexible post extending from the wall. The post has a body portion and a tapered projection thereon, the projection having a greatest circumference that is greater than at least one circumference in a portion of the outer channel. When the projection passes through the channel, at least a portion of the ring portion expands, while the wall extending from the base of the support portion remains substantially stationary. The projection is adapted to engage the end face of the ring portion after passing through the channel, while the body portion of the post is positioned within the channel, without substantially expanding the ring portion when the projection engages the end face.
[0005] US 5,577,779 A describes a snap-fit locking mechanism for releasably connecting a pair of components. The locking mechanism includes a resilient locking arm molded onto a first component. The locking arm includes an outwardly extending projection defining a step portion and a cam surface. A rigid rectangular locking frame extends outwardly from a second component and defines a substantially rectangular opening adapted to receive and secure the locking arm. A resilient tab extends outwardly from the second component and into the locking frame opening and is deflected upon insertion of the locking arm into the locking frame opening. The resilient tab maintains the locking arm in secure engagement with the locking frame.
[0006] DE 32 13 191 A1 describes a container with a tamper-evident lid. This container features molded-on bars on the upper edge of the container. These bars, when the container is closed with the lid, wedge into a friction-locking manner via cams with the security bar molded onto the lid. This allows the lid to be removed only by tearing the cross-sectional area of the security bar, thus identifying a container that has not yet been opened and ensuring a tamper-evident seal. Summary of the invention
[0007] However, if the coupler sections are formed from, for example, hard resin, the coupler sections may make handling during mutual coupling of the first partial cover and the second partial cover impractical. In particular, as the complexity of the design of an object increases, handling during coupling becomes more impractical. Therefore, the object of the present disclosure is to provide a cover unit that makes handling during coupling practical.
[0008] For example, a cover unit according to the present disclosure includes: a first partial cover that partially covers a part of an object; and a second partial cover that partially covers another part of the object and is also coupled to the first cover. The first partial cover includes: a first cover body; and a first locking portion made of an elastomer and formed integrally with the first cover body. The second partial cover includes: a second cover body; and a second locking portion made of an elastomer, formed integrally with the second cover body, and locked to the first locking portion to couple the first partial cover to the second partial cover. The first locking portion has a prong-shaped main extension. The second locking portion has a main bore into which the main extension can be inserted. The main extension is provided with a main claw located at a leading end thereof and locked to the main bore to prevent the main extension from coming out of the main bore.
[0009] When the main projection of the first locking portion in the first sub-cover is inserted into the main hole of the second locking portion in the second sub-cover, the main claw located on the leading end side of the main projection is locked to the main hole. As a result, the main projection is prevented from coming out of the main hole. Note that at least the first locking portion of the first sub-cover and the second locking portion of the second sub-cover are made of an elastomer. Therefore, the first locking portion and the second locking portion have flexibility. As a result, the first locking portion and the second locking portion being flexible make the handling of mutually coupling the first sub-cover and the second sub-cover practical.
[0010] It is preferable that one of the first locking portion and the second locking portion may further include a sub-claw, while the other of the first locking portion and the second locking portion may further include a sub-recess that is locked to the sub-claw in a state that the main extension is inserted into the main bore, and is also locked to the sub-claw to hold the main claw in a state of being locked to the main bore.
[0011] Since the first locking portion and the second locking portion are made of an elastomer, they generate a low coupling force in the coupling section compared to the case where they are made of a hard resin. However, in addition to the above-described locking between the main claw and the main bore, the locking between the sub-claw and the sub-recess ensures sufficient coupling force between the first locking portion and the second locking portion. Detailed description of the preferred embodiments
[0013] Having generally described the present invention, a more complete understanding will be gained from the specific preferred embodiments set forth below for purposes of illustration only and not for the purpose of limiting the scope of the appended claims. (1) Overall structure of cover unit 2
[0014] A covering unit 2 covers an outer surface of an object 1. The object 1 can consist of various physical bodies. For example, the object 1 can consist of a prime mover, such as a motor or internal combustion engine, which serves as a component part for a vehicle application or as a component part for the vehicle interior. The object 1 can also consist of component parts that are not component parts for a vehicle application. In embodiments according to the present disclosure, the motor is given as an example of the object 1. The motor serving as the object 1 has neither a simple cylindrical shape nor a prismatic shape, but has a complex configuration.
[0015] As in Fig. 1, the object 1 comprises a cylindrical columnar section 1 a , a long section 1 b, which is larger than the columnar section 1 a and a rectangular parallelepiped section 1 c , which has a size whose extent is that of the columnar section 1 a At one of the axial end faces is the columnar section 1 a with the long section 1 b connected. On one of the opposite or opposite end surfaces, which is arranged on the side facing the columnar section 1 a opposite or opposite, the long section 1 b with the rectangular parallelepiped section 1 c connected. Object 1 therefore has irregular surfaces.
[0016] The cover unit 2 covers the outer surfaces of the object 1. The cover unit 2 fulfills the following functions: it insulates the noise generated by the object 1, thereby preventing the noise from being transmitted to the outside; it counteracts vibration of the object 1; it protects the object 1 from external influences; and it recesses the object 1 into itself so that it does not protrude outwards. The cover unit 2 is also intended to provide sound insulation against engine noise. Therefore, the cover unit 2 has configurations that conform to the outer surfaces of the object 1. This means that the cover unit 2 has complex configurations that are the same as those of the object 1.
[0017] In order for the cover unit 2 to fulfill the above-described functions of a cover, a flexible elastomer is suitable for the cover unit 2. In particular, a thermoplastic elastomer is preferably used for the cover unit 2. Furthermore, the cover unit 2, which consists of an elastomer, can cover an object 1 with a complex configuration, since it follows or runs along its outer surfaces.
[0018] In addition, the cover unit 2 comprises, as in Fig. 1, a first partial cover 20 and a second partial cover 30. Since the object 1 has a complicated configuration on the outer surfaces as described above, forming a cover comprising only one element is not easy. Therefore, the use of the first partial cover 20 covering a part of the object 1 and the second partial cover 30 covering another part of the object 1 enables the object 1 having a complicated configuration to be easily covered. Note that the cover unit 2 may also include three or more partial covers as needed.
[0019] It should be noted that the first partial cover 20 and the second partial cover 30 are not fixed to the object 1. Rather, the first partial cover 20 and the second partial cover 30 are mutually coupled. Since the first partial cover 20 and the second partial cover 30 are mutually coupled, it is possible for the cover unit 2 to easily and securely cover the object 1 without having to provide the object 1 with installation zones.
[0020] Therefore, the first partial cover 20 comprises a first cover body 21 and a first locking portion 22. The first cover body 21 covers a part of the object 1. The first locking portion 22 is formed integrally with the first cover body 21. An elastomer of the same type integrally forms the first cover body 21 and the first locking portion 22. This means that the first cover body 21 and the first locking portion 22 are made of one and the same elastomer. In particular, the first partial cover 20 further comprises a zone 21 a , a Zone 21 b and a Zone 21 c , as in Fig. 1. Zone 21 a covers the columnar section 1 a in object 1 approximately half; zone 21 b covers the long section 1 b almost half; and Zone 21 ccovers the rectangular parallelepiped section 1 c almost half. In addition, the respective zones (21 a , 21 b , 21 c ) are mutually integrated or integrally developed.
[0021] The first locking section 22 comprises a zone 22 a , a zone 22 b and a zone 22 c . Zone 22 a is on an edge in zone 21 a of the first cover body 21; the zone 22 b is on an edge in zone 22 b of the first cover body 21; and the zone 22 c is on an edge in zone 21 c of the first cover body 21. Note that the first partial cover 20 may encompass the first locking portion 22 to any desired extent.
[0022] Furthermore, the second partial cover 30 comprises a second cover body 31 and a second locking portion 32. The second cover body 31 covers another part of the object 1. The second locking portion 32 is formed integrally with the second cover body 31. An elastomer of the same type integrally forms the second cover body 31 and the second locking portion 32. This means that the second cover body 31 and the second locking portion 32 are made of one and the same elastomer. In particular, the second partial cover 30 further comprises a zone 31 a , a zone 31 b and a zone 31 c , as in Fig. 1. Zone 31 a covers the columnar section 1 a in object 1 approximately half; zone 31 b covers the long section 1 b almost half; and zone 31 ccovers the rectangular parallelepiped section 1 c almost half. In particular, the respective zones (31 a , 31 b , 31 c ) are integrally formed with each other.
[0023] The second locking portion 32 is locked to the first locking portion 22 to couple the first partial cover 20 and the second partial cover 40 together. The second locking portion 32 comprises a zone 32 a , a zone 32 b and a zone 32 c . Zone 32 a is on an edge in zone 31 a of the second cover body 31; the zone 32 b is on an edge in zone 32 b of the second cover body 31; and the zone 32 c is on an edge in zone 31 cof the second cover body 31. Note that the second partial cover 30 may encompass the second locking portion 32 to any desired extent.
[0024] Note that the first locking portion 22 and the second locking portion 32 are made of an elastomer. Therefore, the handling when coupling the first locking portion 22 to the second locking portion 32, or vice versa, is very convenient compared to a case where they are made of a hard resin. However, since the first locking portion 22 and the second locking portion 32 have flexibility, there may be risks that the coupling force between the first locking portion 22 and the second locking portion 32 decreases. Therefore, the material for the first partial cover 20 and the second partial cover 30 is selected to allow the first locking portion 22 and the first locking portion 32 to maintain the locked state.
[0025] Regarding the material selectable for the first locking portion 22 and the second locking portion 32 (or the first partial cover 20 and the second partial cover 30), an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer is suitable. It is also possible to use a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer or the like. A material whose Shore "A" type hardness ("Durometer A" type hardness) (ISO 7619:2010) ranges from A60 to A95 can be suitably used. Therefore, it is possible to achieve the objectives of, for example, sound insulation by the first cover body 21 and the second cover body 31 and also to ensure a sufficient coupling force between the first locking portion 22 and the second locking portion 32. (2) First embodiment
[0026] Next, the first locking portion 22 and the second locking portion 32 are Fig. 2 to 17. Note that the right-left direction in Fig. 2, Fig. 8 and Fig. 14 coincides with the direction of the mutual contact of the first cover body 21 and the second cover body 31 at the contact intersections. In addition, the object 1 is in Fig. 2, Fig. 8 and Fig. 14 below. This means that in Fig. 2, Fig. 8 and Fig. 14 the upper side corresponds to an outer side of the object 1, whereas the lower side corresponds to a central side of the object 1. (2-1) First locking section
[0027] The first locking section 22 (or one of the zones (22a, 22b, 22c)) is described below with reference to Fig. 2 to 7. As described in Fig. 2, the first locking portion 22 comprises a base extension 41, which is to be connected to an edge of the first cover body 21, that is, to one of the zones (21a, 21b, 21c) at the edge. The base extension 41 is, as shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, is formed in a plate shape. Furthermore, the base extension 41 has an outline formed as a rectangle, as shown in the drawing. In addition, the base extension 41 is formed such that it extends from an edge of the first cover body 21 on the rear surface side, as shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 5. This means that the base extension 41 is not arranged in the same plane as the edge-like part in the first cover body 21, but is arranged such that it forms a step or a protrusion for an edge-like end surface zone of the first cover body 21. In particular, the base extension 41 is arranged such that it is shifted or offset to one side of the object 1 relative to the edge-like part of the first cover body 21.
[0028] The first locking portion 22 further comprises a prong-shaped main extension (42, 43) which is to be connected to the base extension 41. As shown in Fig. 2, Fig. 6 and Fig. As shown in Figure 7, the main extension (42, 43) consists of a main extension body 42 and a main claw 43. This means that the main extension body 42 forms a part of the claimed main extension, while the main claw 43 forms another part of the claimed main extension. Furthermore, the main extension body 42 and the main claw 43 are in a mushroom-like configuration, as shown in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7. Specifically, the main extension body 42 is formed in a configuration corresponding to a stem portion of the mushroom-like configuration, whereas the main claw 43 is formed in another configuration corresponding to a hood portion of the mushroom-like configuration. Note that the main extension body 42 and the main claw 43 do not necessarily have to be formed in a mushroom-like configuration, but may also be formed, for example, in a hook-like configuration or the like.
[0029] At the basal zone, the main process body 42 is approximately in the middle, as in Fig. 4 and Fig. 6, is connected to the base extension 41. The main extension body 42 is arranged such that the leading end side of the base extension 41 is directed towards Fig. 2, i.e., in a direction away from the object 1. This means that the main extension body 42 extends from the base extension 41 in a direction perpendicular to the direction of mutual abutment of the first cover body 21 and the second cover body 31. The main extension body 42 is formed as a plate shape having a large thickness compared to that of the base extension 41. The plate-shaped main extension body 42 is arranged such that the planar direction coincides with the abutment direction, as shown in Fig. 2, Fig. 4 and Fig. 6. In addition, the plate-shaped main extension body 42 is connected to the base extension 41 on the opposite or opposite sides in the plan direction, as shown in Fig. 4 is shown.
[0030] It should be noted that sub-recesses (44a, 44b) are formed between the base process 41 and the base zone of the main process body 42, as shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 7. In the first embodiment, the sub-recesses (44a, 44b) extend through the base extension 41 in the normal direction to the surfaces of the base extension 41. In other words, the sub-recesses (44a, 44b) extend through the base extension 41 in a direction perpendicular to the direction of mutual abutment of the first cover body 21 and the second cover body 31.
[0031] As in Fig. 4, the sub-recesses (44a, 44b) are formed on both the upper and lower sides in the drawing, with the main extension body 42 being located between them. This means that, as shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the main extension body 42 is connected to the base extension 41 on the opposite or opposite sides in the direction of attachment. Nevertheless, the main extension body 42, as shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 7, separated from the base extension 41 in a direction perpendicular to the direction of attachment. In addition, each of the sub-recesses (44a, 44b) is designed as a crescent-like configuration, as shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4. In other words, the sub-recesses (44a, 44b) are formed substantially circularly.
[0032] The main claw 43, which is arranged at the leading end of the main extension body 42, is designed in such a way that it extends from the main extension body 42 into the surroundings in the same way as the hood with a mushroom-like configuration expands, as in Fig. 6. In particular, the main claw 43, as shown in Fig. 3, when viewed against the direction in which the main extension body 42 extends, it has a circular shape. Furthermore, the main claw 43 has an outer peripheral surface formed as a tapered shape, whereby the main claw 43 is inclined toward the leading end side of the main extension body 42, as shown in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7. In addition, the main claw 43 creates a gap at the outer end between itself and the main extension body 42, as shown in Fig. 7. In particular, the tapered inner peripheral surface of the main claw 43 and a part of the outer peripheral surface of the main extension body 42 are opposite to each other. This means that the main claw 43 has the ability to elastically deform. When the main claw 43 deforms, it assumes a substantially elliptical configuration in which it bends in the right-left direction, see Fig. 7, has a smaller width.
[0033] In addition, the main claw 43, as shown in Fig. 4, the main claw 43 has an outer peripheral configuration visible through the sub-recesses (44a, 44b) when viewed from the rear surface of the base extension 41. This means that the outer peripheral configuration of the main claw 43 is formed to have a smaller diameter than the diameter of the sub-recesses (44a, 44b), which are formed in a circular shape overall. Accordingly, the main claw 43 does not assume any undercut configuration during molding using a mold. As a result, the main claw 43 can be molded without using special molds. (2-2) Second locking section
[0034] The second locking section 32 is described below with reference to Fig. 8 to 13. The second locking portion 32 is attached to the second cover body 31 (or one of the zones (31 a , 31b , 31 c )). Although the second locking portion 32 has no boundaries to the second cover body 31, it can be imagined for the sake of simplicity of description within a range defined in Fig. 8 to 13 is shown with a double dashed line.
[0035] The second locking portion 32 includes a base 51. The base 51 does not define or define boundaries with the second cover body 31, but rather has a common portion with the second cover body 31. As shown in Fig. 9 and Fig. As shown in Figure 10, the second locking portion 32 further includes a main bore 43 extending in a direction perpendicular to the direction of mutual abutment of the first cover body 21 and the second cover body 31 in the center of the base 51. The main bore 53 is formed in an elongated configuration. The main bore 53 forms a zone into which the main extension body 42 is to be inserted. Therefore, the main bore 53 is formed to have a configuration larger than the outline of the main extension body 42.
[0036] In addition, the main hole 53 has a smaller width compared to the outer diameter of the main claw 43, but has a larger width compared to the outer diameter of the main claw 43. In addition, the main hole 53 is formed to cause the main claw 43 to be insertable when the main claw 43 elastically deforms. However, the main hole 53 is formed to be locked to the main claw 43 in a state where the main claw 43 is inserted into the main hole 53. This means that the main claw 43 is insertable into the main hole 53 when the main claw 43 elastically deforms, and also means that the main claw 43 is locked to the main hole 53 at the edge when the main claw 43 elastically resumes or returns to its original configuration.
[0037] As in Fig. 8, Fig. 12 and Fig. 13, the second locking portion 32 further comprises sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ), each of which protrudes from the edge of the main bore 53 in the direction of the main bore 53. This means that the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ) each project from the base 51 in a direction towards one side of the object 1. As shown in Fig. 10, each of the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) along the longer side of the main bore 53 with the configuration of a circular arc. In addition, the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ) arranged in such a way as to cause the circular arc-shaped inner sides to be mutually opposite or opposite each other.
[0038] It should be noted that the sub-claw 52a is configured such that it can enter the sub-recess 44a in the first locking portion 22 because it is formed with a configuration corresponding to that of the sub-recess 44a. In addition, the sub-claw 52b is caused to enter the sub-recess 44b in the first locking portion 22 because it is formed with a configuration corresponding to that of the sub-recess 44b. This means that in a state in which the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ) into the sub-recesses (44 a , 44 b ), the two pairs, i.e. the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) and the sub-recesses (44 a , 44 b ) are alternately locked in the direction of installation.
[0039] In addition, the subclaws (52 a , 52 b) has an arcuate inner surface which is designed as a tapered shape extending from the main bore 53 towards the leading end side of the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ), as in Fig. 13. As described above, the main bore 53 has a smaller width, which is smaller than the outer diameter of the main claw 43. In contrast, the inner surface of the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ) at the leading end is formed larger than the outer diameter of the main claw 43. This means that the arcuate inner surface of the sub-claws (52a, 52b) acts as a zone that causes deformation of the main claw 43.
[0040] In addition, the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) a space between the arched ends, as in Fig. 10. The main extension body 42 of the first locking section 22 is intended to be in the space between the arcuate ends of the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ). Therefore, the arched ends between the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) are formed such that they have a gap spacing equal to or slightly larger than the plate thickness of the main extension body 42. (2-3) Coupled state
[0041] How the first locking section 22 is coupled to the second locking section 32 and how they are coupled to each other will be explained below with reference to Fig. 14 to 17. On a virtual extension line extending from the leading end of the main claw 43 in the first locking portion 22, the main bore 53 in the second locking portion 32 is aligned in position. Furthermore, the sub-claws (52a, 52b) are positioned such that the gap between the arcuate ends coincides with the main extension body 42. This means that, since the planar direction of the plate-shaped surface of the main extension body 42 coincides with the mutual abutment direction of the first cover body 21 and the second cover body 31, the gap is such that it coincides with the abutment direction.
[0042] The main claw 43 is then fitted into the main bore 53. The main claw 43 comes into contact with the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b) on the arched inner surfaces, and then deforms elastically along the arched inner surfaces of the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ). This means that when the elastically deformed main claw 43 passes through the main bore 53 and then elastically resumes or returns to its original configuration, the main claw 43 on the main bore 53 at the edge in the direction of extension of the main bore 53 (i.e., in a direction perpendicular to the direction of engagement), as shown in Fig. 14 to 17. This in turn means that the main claw 43 prevents the main extension body 42 from coming out of the main bore 53.
[0043] During the fitting of the main claw 43 in the main bore 53, a part of the main extension body 42 also passes through the main bore 53. As described above, the planar direction of the plate-shaped surface in the main extension body 42 coincides with the space between the arcuate ends of the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ), as in Fig. 15. Therefore, the main process body 42 reaches the space between the arched ends of the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ). Therefore, the main process body 42 is attached to the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) in the directions of rotation around the central axis of the main process body 42. This means that the main process body 42 and the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b), which are locked in this way, prevent the first locking portion 22 and the second locking portion 32 from rotating about the central axis of the main extension body 42.
[0044] In addition, the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) during the fitting of the main claw 43 into the main bore 53 into the sub-recesses (44 a , 44 b ) in the basal process 41, as in Fig. 17. Each of the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) has an arcuate outline, whereas the sub-recesses (44 a , 44 b ) with a design that corresponds to the arched outline of the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) are developed. If the subclaws (52 a , 52b) into the sub-recesses (44 a , 44 b ), it is therefore prevented that the subclaws (52 a , 52 b ) and the sub-recesses (44 a , 44b ) are offset in the direction of installation or incorrectly aligned.
[0045] In addition, the main process body 42 is connected to the basal process 41 in the direction of attachment, as shown in Fig. 16. Accordingly, the main extension body 42 is locked in the base zone at the main bore 53 in the abutment direction. As a result, the main extension body 42 is prevented from being displaced or misaligned in the abutment direction relative to the main bore 53.
[0046] Therefore, when the main claw 43 is inserted into the main bore 53, the possibility of the main claw 43 being offset or misaligned in the direction of engagement relative to the main bore 53 is completely prevented by the following means: the locking between the main extension body 42 and the sub-claws (52 a , 52 b ) (i.e. a first auxiliary locking mechanism); the locking mechanism between the subclaws (52 a , 52b ) and the sub-recesses (44 a , 44 b ) (i.e., a second auxiliary lock); and the lock between the main extension body 42 and the main hole 53 (i.e., a third auxiliary lock). Since the main claw 43 is made of an elastomer, deformation is likely compared to a case where it is made of a hard resin. However, if the main claw 43 is not offset or misaligned relative to the main hole 53 in the abutment direction, it is possible for the main claw 43 to remain in a state where it is securely locked to the edge of the main hole 53. Therefore, even if external forces act on the first sub-cover 20 and the second sub-cover 30 to separate them from each other, it is possible to securely prevent the main claw 43 from coming out of the main hole 53.
[0047] Please note that in addition to the first auxiliary locking mechanism, the second auxiliary locking mechanism, and the third auxiliary locking mechanism described above, it is also permissible to use only one of the three locking mechanisms or only two of them. If this is the case, the use of at least one of the three locking mechanisms will result in a secure locking of the main claw 43 to the main bore 53 at the edge, or vice versa. However, the use of two of the three locking mechanisms or all three will result in an even more secure locking of the main claw 43 to the main bore 53 at the edge, or vice versa. (3) Second embodiment
[0048] Next, a first locking portion 122 and a second locking portion 132 according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 18 to 30. Please note that the right-left direction in Fig. 18, Fig. 22 and Fig. 28 coincides with the direction of the mutual contact of the first cover body 121 and the second cover body 131 at the contact intersections. In addition, the object 1 is in Fig. 18, Fig. 22 and Fig. 28 below. This means that in Fig. 18, Fig. 22 and Fig. 28 the upper side corresponds to an outer side of the object 1, while the lower side corresponds to a central side of the object 1. (3-1) First locking section
[0049] The first locking section 122 is described below with reference to Fig. 18 to 21. The first locking portion 122 comprises a prong-shaped main extension formed to extend from an edge of the first cover body 121 toward the mutual abutment of the first cover body 121 and the second cover body 131. In order to make the first locking portion 122 a constituent element that includes only the main extension, the terms "first locking portion 122" and "main extension" imply that they are located in a mutually identical entity. Note that it is not excluded that the first locking portion 121 may have additional constituent elements beyond the main extension.
[0050] As in Fig. 18, the first locking portion 122 serving as a main extension includes a main extension body 141, a main claw 142, a sub-claw 143, a deformation preventing projection 144, and a rib-like reinforcing member 145. The main extension body 141, which is formed in a plate shape, has an outline as shown in Fig. 19, is formed in a rectangular shape. In addition, the main extension body 141 is formed such that it extends from the edge of the first cover body 121 in the abutment direction on the surface side, as shown in Fig. 18. This means that the main extension body 141 is not located in the same plane as the edge-like part of the first cover body 121, so that it has a step or elevation in a zone approximately around an end surface 121 a1the edge in the first cover body 121. In particular, the main extension body 141 is arranged such that it is shifted or offset toward a side opposite to the object 1 relative to the edge-like part of the first cover body 121.
[0051] The main claw 142, which is arranged on the main extension body 141 at the leading end, is facing a first surface (that is to say the surface shown in Fig. 18) in the main extension body 141. The main claw 142 is provided on the leading end edge of the main extension body 141 over the entire length in the width direction, as shown in Fig. 19. Therefore, the main claw 142 is formed to have a protrusion amount that increases as it approaches or approaches the opposite leading end side (or the fixed end side) of the main extension body 141. This means that the main claw 142 is less likely to engage with its mating member in a direction toward the leading end side of the main extension body 141, but is more likely to engage with its mating member in another direction toward the opposite leading end side (or the fixed end side) of the main extension body 141.
[0052] The sub-claw 143, which is arranged at a further opposite leading end side (or a fixed end side) compared to the main claw 142 in the main extension body 141, is facing a second surface (i.e., the one shown in Fig. 18) in the main extension body 141. The sub-claw 143 is formed over the entire length of the main extension body 141 in the width direction. Moreover, the sub-claw 143 is formed to have a protrusion amount that increases as it approaches or approaches the opposite leading end side (or the fixed end side) of the main extension body 141. This means that the sub-claw 143 is less likely to hook with its associated element in a direction toward the leading end side of the main extension body 141, but is more likely to hook with its associated element in another direction toward the opposite leading end side (or the fixed end side) of the main extension body 141. Note that the sub-claw 143 is formed toward the end surface 121 a1 in the edge of the first cover element 121, as in Fig. 18 is opposite or opposite.
[0053] The deformation preventing projection 144, which is arranged on a further opposite leading end side (or a fixed end side) compared to the main claw 142 in the main extension body 141, is facing the first surface side (that is, the first surface shown in Fig. 18 shown upper surface) in the main extension body 141. As shown in Fig. As shown in Fig. 19, the deformation prevention protrusion 144 is formed into a rib-like shape extending toward the leading end side of the main extension body 141 at the widthwise center of the first surface in the main extension body 141. The deformation prevention protrusion 144 is formed to extend from a location corresponding to the sub-claw 143 toward the opposite leading end side (or the fixed end side) of the main extension body 141 in the abutment direction. This means that the deformation prevention protrusion 144 has a zone overlapping or superimposed on the sub-claw 143 on the leading end side (or the free end side) of the main extension body 141. Specifically, this means that the deformation preventing projection 144 has a zone formed in the shape of an inclined surface on the leading end side (or the free end side) of the main extension body 141.When viewed in the abutment direction, the deformation preventing projection 144 has a projecting surface located at a slightly lower position compared to a position where the main claw 142 is located, as shown in FIG. Fig. 18 (or as can be seen from Fig. 20). In other words, in a direction separating from the object 1, the main claw 142 is located farther from the object 1 than the projecting surface of the deformation preventing projection 144.
[0054] In the first area (that is, the one in Fig. 18 upper surface) in the main extension body 141, the rib-like reinforcing element 145 is between the main claw 142 and the deformation prevention projection 144, as shown in Fig. 18 and Fig. 19. The rib-like reinforcing member 145 is formed as a rib-like shape on a virtual extension line extending from the deformation prevention projection 144. As shown in Fig. 18 and Fig. 21, the rib-like reinforcing member 145 has a protrusion amount that is small compared to that of the deformation-preventing projection 144 and even compared to that of the main claw 142. Note that since the first locking portion 122 is made of an elastomer, the first locking portion 122 is more likely to experience significant elastic deformation than if it were made of a hard resin. In particular, since the main extension body 141 is plate-shaped, it is likely to bend or warp. However, the rib-like reinforcing element 145 controls or regulates the extent of elastic deformation of the main extension body 141 such that it lies within a predetermined range, and also allows the main extension body 141 to undergo elastic deformation in the sense of bending or warping. (3-2) Second locking section
[0055] The second locking section 132 is described below with reference to Fig. 22 to 27. The second locking portion 132 is formed on the second cover body 131. Although the second locking portion 132 does not have or define any boundaries with the second cover body 131, for the sake of simplicity of description, it can be imagined within a range shown in Fig. 22 to 27 is shown with double dashed lines.
[0056] The second locking portion 132 includes a base 151. However, the base 151 does not have or define a boundary with the second cover body 131, but forms a common part with the second cover body 131. The second locking portion 132 further includes a main bore forming element 152 approximately around the center in the base 151. As shown in Fig. 27, the main hole forming member 152 is formed in the shape of an inverted "U" whose bottom surface has the shape of a flat surface. Furthermore, the main hole forming member 152 is fixed to a first surface (i.e., the Fig. 22) in the base 151. Note that the first surface is located on the opposite side to the object 1. The main hole forming element 152 therefore includes a main hole 152 on the first surface side. a , which are directed in the direction of mutual engagement of the first cover body 121 and the second cover body 131, as shown in Fig. 24 and Fig. 25 is shown.
[0057] This means that the main bore 152 aat the opposite ends has an open configuration formed as a rectangle having longer sides extending in a plan direction of the base 151, as shown in Fig. 23 and Fig. 24. The main bore 152 a has a width (i.e., the width in a different plane direction of the base 151) and a height (i.e., the height in the normal direction to the plane surfaces of the base 151). Note that the width and height of the main bore 152 a those of the first locking section 122. Therefore, a part of the main extension body 141 and the main claw 142 is inserted into the main bore 152 a introduced in the direction of installation. In addition, the main bore 152 a at the outlet-side opening edge (that is, at one of the end faces of the main bore forming element 152) that a zone through the main claw 142, which is inserted into the main bore 152a is inserted, is locked.
[0058] In addition, the second locking portion 132 further comprises a sub-recess 153 extending toward the main bore 152 a opens and which is also attached to the subclaw 143, as shown in Fig. 24 and Fig. 25 is locked. The sub-recess 153 extends through the base 151 in the normal direction to opposite or opposing surfaces of the base 151. As shown in Fig. 25 and Fig. 27, the sub-recess 153 is formed at a location opposite to the bottom surface of the main hole forming member 152, which is formed in the shape of an inverted U. In particular, the sub-recess 153, as shown in Fig. 24 is formed as a rectangular shape and is in comparison to the length that the main hole forming element 152 has in the direction of installation, as shown in Fig. 25. Accordingly, the main hole forming member 152 does not undergo any undercut formation during molding using a mold. As a result, the main hole forming member 152 can be molded without using special molds. (3-3) Coupled state
[0059] How the first locking portion 122 is coupled to the second locking portion 132 and how they are coupled to each other will be explained below with reference to Fig. 28 to 30. On a virtual extension line extending from the first locking section 122 in the direction of engagement, the main bore 152 a in the second locking section 132 is aligned in position. Subsequently, the main claw 142 is inserted into the main bore 152 afitted. The main extension body 141 deforms elastically. Under these circumstances, the rib-like reinforcing element 145 acts in the direction of a movement of the main claw 142 in the main bore 152 a while causing the main claw 142 to come into contact with the main bore forming member 152.
[0060] If the main claw 142 is so through the main bore 152 a that the main extension body 141 subsequently elastically resumes its original configuration or returns to it, the main extension body 141, which has undergone the elastic deformation, locks the main claw 142 at the edge of the outlet-side opening in the main bore 152 a , as in Fig. 30. This means that the main claw 142 prevents the main extension body 141 from coming out of the main bore 152 a comes out.
[0061] At the time when the main claw 142 emerges from the outlet-side opening in the main bore 152 a protrudes, the sub-claw 143 enters the sub-recess 153 (in Fig. 25 and Fig. 27) in the second locking portion 132. This means that in a state in which the main claw 142 is at the edge of the outlet-side opening in the main bore 152 a is locked, the sub-claw 143 on the sub-recess 153 in the direction of installation, as in Fig. 30 is locked. In other words, the direction of locking of the main claw 142 to the main bore 152 a and the direction of locking of the sub-claw 143 to the sub-recess 153 become identical to each other.
[0062] If subclaw 143 (in Fig. 18) into the sub-recess 153, the deformation prevention projection 144 is also applied to the end face of the inlet-side opening in the main bore forming member 152, as shown in Fig. 30. Under these circumstances, the inclined surface of the deformation-preventing projection 144 undergoes compression deformation in the abutment direction because it is pressed against the end surface of the entry-side opening in the main-bore forming member 152. When the sub-claw 143 enters the sub-recess 153, the sub-claw 143 is subsequently brought into a state of locking against the sub-recess 153. As a result, a portion of the inclined surface of the deformation-preventing projection 144 enters the interior of the main bore 152. a . As a result, the deformation preventing portion 144 is in a state of contact with the inner surface of the main bore 152 a At the same time, the second area (that is, the one in Fig. 30) in the main extension body 141 in contact with the base 151.
[0063] Therefore, if the sub-claw 143 is at the sub-recess 153, as in Fig. 30, the deformation prevention projection 144 on the inlet opening side comes into contact with the inner surface of the main bore 152 a . Therefore, the deformation prevention projection 144 can prevent the main extension body 141, which is inserted into the main bore 152a, from deforming. As a result, the sub-claw 143 is held locked to the sub-recess 153. Furthermore, because the sub-claw 143 is held locked to the sub-recess 153, the main claw 142 is held at the exit-side opening of the main bore 152. a held at the edge.
[0064] Since the first locking portion 122 is made of an elastomer, its deformation is likely compared to the case where it were made of a hard resin. In addition to the main claw 142, which is attached to the main bore 152 aHowever, while the main claw 142 is locked in the abutment direction, the sub-claw 143 is also locked in the sub-recess 153 in the same direction. Therefore, the first locking portion 122 and the second locking portion 132 comprise double locking structures in the abutment direction. Therefore, the main claw 142 can maintain a state in which it is securely locked to the main bore 152. a is locked at the edge. As a result, even when external forces act on the first partial cover 20 and the second partial cover 30 in directions that are separate from each other, it is possible to reliably counteract the main claw 142 from the main bore 152 a comes out.
[0065] Having fully described the present invention, it will be apparent to one of ordinary skill in the art that various changes and modifications may be made therein without departing from the spirit or scope of the present disclosure as set forth in the appended claims.
