AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing magnetic guide devices suffer from differential slippage, jerks, and varying friction, which deteriorate the run-off properties of the rotor with respect to the stator, leading to jamming and poor controllability.

Method used

A magnetic guide device that generates a magnetic prestressing force between the stator and rotor using permanent magnets, ensuring a compressive force to avoid differential slip, jerks, and varying friction, thereby improving the run-off properties and allowing for smoother, more controllable movements.

Benefits of technology

The magnetic guide device provides improved running-off properties by avoiding differential slip and friction, enhancing controllability and positioning accuracy, and reducing the need for additional mechanical prestressing systems, while offering advantages in installation space and dynamic control.

Abstract

Magnetic guide device (1), with a stator (2) and a rotor (3) which is movable relative to the stator (2) along a guide direction (Z), wherein the stator (2) and the rotor (3) are magnetized or magnetizable in such a way that a magnetic field (M) passing through the stator (2) and the rotor (3), which magnetic field is formed by one or more permanent magnets, generates a magnetic supporting force (U) acting on the rotor (3) along the guide direction (Z), wherein the magnetic field (M) passing through the stator (2) and the rotor (3) simultaneously generates a magnetic prestressing force (F) which urges the rotor (3) and the stator (2) against one another, characterized in that the magnetic supporting force (U) is generated exclusively by the magnetic field (M) formed by one or more permanent magnets.
