Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel, particularly to a sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel that generates sound by rotating a spool relative to a spool shaft. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a spinning reel having a sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel.
[0002] In a conventional sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel, for example, a drag sound generating mechanism includes a holding member that holds a coil spring and is formed from a synthetic resin. For example, JP 2006-217849 A discloses such a mechanism. The holding member includes a fixing portion, a tubular portion, and a locking projection. The tubular portion is integrally formed with the fixing portion. The coil spring is disposed inside the tubular portion. The locking projection is disposed within the tubular portion.
[0003] In this type of trailing sound generating mechanism, in order to arrange the locking protrusion inside the tubular portion, it is necessary to form the locking protrusion separately from the fixing portion. In this case, the coil spring is first arranged in the tubular portion. The locking protrusion is then inserted through the proximal end portion of the coil spring. In this state, the locking protrusion is fixed to the fixing portion. This unites the retaining member and the coil spring into a single unit. Finally, the retaining member and the coil spring are fixed to a member that rotates relative to a cover member (concave-convex portion), such as a first disk.
[0004] In a conventional drag sound generating mechanism, there is a risk that the retaining member will be damaged by the heat generated by the drag mechanism because the retaining member is formed of a synthetic resin. Furthermore, in the conventional drag sound generating mechanism, the locking protrusion, which is separate from the fixing portion, must be locked to the coil spring and fixed to the fixing portion to assemble the retaining member and the coil spring as a unit. Therefore, many steps are required to assemble the retaining member and the coil spring as a unit. Furthermore, because the retaining member is a small member, the locking protrusion could not be easily locked to the coil spring or fixed to the fixing portion.
[0005] EP 2 002 715 A1 also discloses a sound-generating mechanism for a spinning reel. The mechanism includes a pin element with a coil spring, which is attached to a disc of the spinning reel via a holding device. The holding device comprises a mounting portion and a holding portion that accommodates the coil spring. Furthermore, a locking pin is arranged outside the holding portion on the mounting portion to fix the coil spring thereto.
[0006] The present invention was made in view of the above-described problem, and an object of the present invention is to provide a sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel and a spinning reel that can prevent wear of the holding member. Another object of the present invention is to provide a sound generating mechanism of a spinning reel and a spinning reel that can improve the assembly of the holding member and the coil spring.
[0007] The object is achieved by a noise generating mechanism according to independent claim 1 and a spinning reel according to independent claim 6. Further advantageous embodiments are described in dependent claims 2 to 5.
[0008] A sound generating mechanism of a spinning reel according to one aspect of the present invention is a mechanism that generates sound by rotation of a spool with respect to a spool shaft.
[0009] The sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel includes a first member, a second member, a pin member, a coil spring, and a metal holding member. The first member is configured to be rotatable integrally with a spool. The first member has a plurality of concave-convex portions arranged at intervals in a rotation direction of the spool.
[0010] The second element is configured to be rotationally fixed with respect to the spool shaft. The pin element is arranged to contact the concave-convex portions described above. The coil spring biases the pin element toward the concave-convex portions. The metallic retaining element is attached to the second element and holds the coil spring.
[0011] In the sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel of the present invention, it is possible to prevent the wear of the holding member even if other components near the sound generating mechanism of a spinning reel generate heat because the holding member is made of metal.
[0012] In the sound generating mechanism of a spinning reel according to the present invention, the holding member includes a fixing portion fixed to the second member, a holding portion that holds the coil spring, and a locking portion that locks the coil spring. Here, the fixing portion, the holding portion, and the locking portion are integrally formed. The locking portion is disposed on the holding portion.
[0013] This eliminates the need to attach the locking portion to the mounting portion in the holding member. Therefore, it is possible to easily assemble the holding member and the coil spring as a unit by locking the coil spring with the locking portion of the holding member and holding it with the holding portion of the holding member. Thus, the sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel of the present invention makes it possible to improve the assembly of the holding member and the coil spring.
[0014] In the sound generating mechanism for a spinning reel according to another aspect of the present invention, the coil spring is preferably arranged in a space between the second member and the holding portion. Here, the locking portion locks the coil spring from outside this space.
[0015] In this embodiment, since the coil spring is locked from outside the space between the second member and the holding portion while being arranged in the space, the coil spring can be easily attached to the holding member.
[0016] In the sound generating mechanism of a spinning reel according to another aspect of the present invention, the locking portion is formed integrally with the holding portion so that it can face the concavo-convex portions.
[0017] In this embodiment, the coil spring can reliably bias the pin member toward the concave-convex portions when it is locked with the locking portion.
[0018] In the sound generating mechanism of a spinning reel according to another aspect of the present invention, the holding portion is preferably formed integrally with the fixing portion between the locking portion and the concavo-convex portions.
[0019] In this embodiment, the coil spring can be reliably held by the holding portion between the locking portion and the concave-convex portions.
[0020] In the sound generating mechanism of a spinning reel according to another aspect of the present invention, the holding member is preferably formed by a press process.
[0021] In this embodiment, any configuration of the retaining member can be easily formed. Furthermore, the retaining member can be easily formed even if the retaining member has a complex shape.
[0022] A spinning reel according to another aspect of the present invention comprises a reel body, a spool shaft disposed in the reel body, a spool rotatably disposed relative to the spool shaft, and a sound generating mechanism having any of the configurations described above that generates sound by rotating the spool shaft relative to the spool.
[0023] Since this spinning reel has the noise generating mechanism described above, the same effect as described above can be achieved.
[0024] According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent wear of a holding member of a sound-generating mechanism for a spinning reel and the spinning reel. Furthermore, the present invention makes it possible to improve the assembly of the holding member and the coil spring in the sound-generating mechanism for a spinning reel and the spinning reel.
[0025] A more complete appreciation of the invention and many of the attendant advantages will be readily attained as the same becomes better understood from the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 is a side view of a spinning reel utilizing an embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the spinning reel; Fig. 3 is a partially enlarged cross-sectional view of the spinning reel; Fig. 4 is a side view of the sound generating mechanism seen from the side of the reel body; Fig. 5 is a side view of the sound generating mechanism seen from the coil side; and Fig. 6 is a partially enlarged perspective view of the sound generating mechanism.
[0026] Selected embodiments will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals indicate corresponding or identical elements in the various drawings.
[0027] A spinning reel 100 using an embodiment of the present invention includes a reel body 2, a handle 3, a spool shaft 4 (see Fig. 2), a coil 5, a rotor 6, a drag mechanism 8 (see Fig. 2) and a noise generating mechanism 9 (see Fig. 2).
[0028] The axis of the spool 4 is called the X-axis. Note that the direction in which the X-axis extends, as well as the direction along the X-axis, is called the axial direction. The direction around the X-axis, centered on the X-axis, is called the rotation direction (circumferential direction). The direction away from the X-axis, centered on the X-axis, is called the radial direction. Furthermore, in the axial direction, the direction in which a fishing line is cast (unrolled) is called "front," and the direction opposite "front" is called "back."
[0029] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the reel body 2 comprises a reel body portion 2a and a cylindrical portion 2b. The reel body portion 2a has an interior space. An oscillating mechanism (oscillator) 12 for moving the spool 5 in the longitudinal direction is arranged in the interior space.
[0030] Furthermore, a portion of a rotor drive mechanism (not shown) for driving the rotor 6 is arranged inside. The cylindrical portion 2b is arranged in the front portion of the reel body portion 2a. In the cylindrical portion 2b, a one-way clutch 14 is arranged inside the cylindrical portion 2b. The swing mechanism 12 and the rotor drive mechanism have substantially the same configurations as conventional configurations, so their descriptions are omitted.
[0031] The handle 3 is rotatably supported by the reel body 2. In the present embodiment, an example is shown of a case where the handle 3 is arranged on the left side of the reel body 2, but the handle 3 may be arranged on the right side of the reel body 2.
[0032] The spool shaft 4 is supported by the reel body 2. The spool shaft 4 extends in the axial direction. The spool shaft 4 is moved back and forth longitudinally relative to the reel body 2 by the oscillating mechanism 12. The spool 5 is connected to the spool shaft 4 via the drag mechanism 8.
[0033] The spool 5 is configured to be movable in the axial direction together with the spool shaft 4. For example, the spool 5 is mounted on the spool shaft 4 via a dragging unit (dragging operator) 15, which is screwed onto the distal end portion of the spool shaft 4.
[0034] When the spool shaft 4 moves back and forth in the longitudinal direction of the reel body 2 as described above, the spool 5 also moves back and forth in the longitudinal direction of the reel body 2. Fig. 2 shows an example in which the spool 5 has moved to the rearmost position relative to the reel body 2.
[0035] Furthermore, the spool 5 is configured to be rotatable relative to the spool shaft 4. For example, the spool 5 is rotatably connected relative to the spool shaft 4 via the drag mechanism 8.
[0036] The spool 5 includes a spool body 5a, a flange portion 5b, and a skirt portion 5c. A fishing line is wound around the outer periphery of the spool body 5a. The flange portion 5b is integrally formed at the front portion of the spool body 5a.
[0037] The skirt portion 5c is integrally formed on the rear portion of the coil body 5a. The skirt portion 5c is spaced apart from the flange portion 5b in the axial direction. For example, the skirt portion 5c includes a wall portion 51c and a tube portion 52c.
[0038] The wall portion 51c is integrally formed on the coil body 5a. The wall portion 51c is formed in a substantially annular shape. The wall portion 51c extends radially outward from the rear portion of the coil body 5a. A drag housing portion 53c is disposed on the wall portion 51c.
[0039] For example, the drag housing portion 53c is formed integrally with the wall portion 51c radially inside the tube portion 52c. The drag housing portion 53c is formed with a substantially cylindrical shape. The drag housing portion 53c extends from the wall portion 51c in the axial direction (rearward). The drag mechanism 8 is housed on the radially inner side of the drag housing 53c. A plurality of first engagement recesses 53d (see Fig. 3) are arranged on the inner peripheral surface of the drag housing 53c. The plurality of first engagement recesses 53d are arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction.
[0040] The tube portion 52c is integrally formed on the outer peripheral portion of the wall portion 51c. The tube portion 52c extends from the outer peripheral portion of the wall portion 51c in the axial direction (rearward). The outer diameter of the tube portion 52c is larger than the outer diameter of the coil body 5a. The sound generating mechanism 9 is arranged on the radially inner side of the tube portion 52c.
[0041] The rotor 6 serves to wind the fishing line around the spool 5. The rotor 6 is rotatable relative to the reel body 2. The rotor 6 is integrally coupled to the gear 16. The rotation of the handle 3 is transmitted to a gear 16 via a rotor drive. The gear 16 is tubular. The spool shaft 4 is inserted through the inner peripheral portion of the gear 16.
[0042] As in Fig. 3, the towing mechanism 8 exerts a towing force on the reel 5 by adjusting the towing control unit 15 (see Fig. 2). The drag mechanism 8 is arranged between the spool 5 and the spool shaft 4.
[0043] The drag mechanism 8 includes a plurality of first friction discs 8a and at least one (e.g., one) second friction disc 8b. The first friction disc 8a and the second friction disc 8b are arranged alternately in the axial direction. The first friction discs 8a and the second friction disc 8b contact each other in the axial direction and generate a frictional force.
[0044] The first friction discs 8a are integrally rotatably supported on the spool 5. A plurality of first engagement projections 81a are arranged on the outer peripheral portion of the first friction disc 8a. Each of the plurality of first engagement projections 81a is spaced circumferentially. Each of the plurality of first engagement projections 81a engages the first engagement recess 53d of the drag housing portion 53c. Thus, the first friction discs 8a are configured to be integrally rotatable with respect to the spool 5.
[0045] The second friction disc 8b is integrally rotatably mounted on the spool shaft 4. For example, the second friction disc 8b is mounted on the spool shaft 4, which is integrally rotatable via a connecting member (connector) 10. A plurality of second engagement recesses 81b are arranged on the inner peripheral portion of the second friction disc 8b. The plurality of second engagement recesses 81b are each arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction.
[0046] As in Fig. 3, the connecting element 10 is non-rotatably mounted on the spool shaft 4. The connecting element 10 has a plurality of second engagement projections 10a and a hole portion 10b. The plurality of second engagement projections 10a are arranged on the outer peripheral portion of the connecting element 10. Each of the plurality of second engagement projections 10a is spaced circumferentially. The second engagement recess 81b of the second friction disc 8b engages each of the plurality of second engagement projections 10a. In this way, the second friction disc 8b is non-rotatably supported relative to the connecting element 10.
[0047] The hole portion 10b is located in the central portion of the connecting member 10. The hole portion 10b is formed in a non-circular shape. A portion of the spool shaft 4, whose outer peripheral surface is non-circular, is inserted into the hole portion 10b. In this way, the connecting member 10 is non-rotatably mounted on the spool shaft 4. In this state, the connecting member 10 is positioned in the axial direction of the spool shaft 4.
[0048] The sound generating mechanism 9 generates sounds by the rotation of the spool 5 relative to the spool shaft 4.
[0049] As in the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, the sound generating mechanism 9 comprises a first member 21, a second member 22, a pin member 23, a coil spring 24, and a metal holding member (holder) 25.
[0050] The first element 21 is configured to rotate integrally with the spool 5. This can be understood as the first element 21 being configured to be non-rotatable with respect to the spool 5. For example, the first element 21 is attached to the spool 5 to rotate integrally via a fastening element 26 (see Fig. 2). The fastening member 26 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape. The fastening member 26 is integrally rotatably mounted on the spool 5. The fastening member 26 is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the drag housing portion 53c.
[0051] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 5, the first member 21 includes a body portion 21a and a plurality of concave-convex portions 21b. The body portion 21a is formed in a substantially annular shape. The body portion 21a is fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the fixing member 26. The plurality of concave-convex portions 21b are formed on the inner peripheral portion of the body portion 21a. Each of the plurality of concave-convex portions 21b is spaced apart in the rotation direction of the spool 5.
[0052] The second element 22 is configured to be non-rotatable with respect to the spool shaft 4. The second element 22 is connected to the connecting element 10 in a rotationally fixed manner. For example, the second element 22 is secured to the connecting element 10 by a fastening device (or means), such as a screw element 29 (see Fig. 2) attached.
[0053] As in the Fig. 3-5, the second element 22 has a cover portion 22a and a fixed portion 22b. The cover portion 22a covers the first element 21. In particular, the cover portion 22a covers the first element 21 and the fixing element 26 (see Fig. 3).
[0054] The cover portion 22a includes a first tube portion 22a1 and a first annular wall portion 22a2. The first tube portion 22a1 is disposed radially outward of the first member 21 and the fastening member 26. The first annular wall portion 22a2 is integrally formed on the inner peripheral surface of the first tube portion 22a1. The first annular wall portion 22a2 extends radially inward of the inner peripheral surface of the first tube portion 22a1. The first annular wall portion 22a2 is disposed on one side of the first member 21 in the axial direction.
[0055] The holding element 25 is fixed to the fixed portion 22b. The fixed portion 22b is integrally formed on the inner peripheral portion of the cover portion 22a. The fixed portion 22b is arranged radially inward of the first element 21.
[0056] The fixed portion 22b includes a second tubular portion 22b1 and a second annular wall portion 22b2. The second annular wall portion 22b1 is integrally formed on the inner peripheral surface of the first annular wall portion 22a2. The second tubular portion 22b1 extends axially (forward) from the inner peripheral portion of the first annular wall portion 22a2.
[0057] The second tubular section 22b1 is arranged radially inside the first element 21. The second tubular section 22b1 is arranged at a radial distance from the first element 21. A window section 22b3 is formed in the second tubular section 22b1. The window section 22b3 penetrates the second tubular section 22b1 in the radial direction. The pin element 23 and the coil spring 24 are inserted into the window section 22b3.
[0058] The second annular wall portion 22b2 is formed integrally with the second tubular portion 22b1. The second annular wall portion 22b2 extends radially inward of the second tubular portion 22b1. The second annular wall portion 22b2 is fastened to the connecting element 10 by a fastening device (or means), such as the screw element 29 (see Fig. 2). In particular, the second annular wall portion 22b2 is secured to the connecting element 10 by the screw element 29 via a support element 28 carrying a sealing element.
[0059] As in the Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the pin member 23 is arranged so that it is capable of contacting each of the plurality of concave-convex portions 21b. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 6, the pin member 23 has a head portion 23a and a shaft portion 23b. The head portion 23a contacts each of the plurality of concave-convex portions 21b. The shaft portion 23b is disposed on the head portion 23a. The shaft portion 23b is disposed on the inner peripheral portion of the coil spring 24.
[0060] As in the Fig. 3-5, the coil spring 24 biases the pin element 23 toward the concave-convex portions 21b. As shown in the Fig. 3 and Fig. As shown in Figure 6, the coil spring 24 is disposed in a space S between the second member 22 and a spring retaining portion (spring retainer) 25b (described below) of the retaining member 25 in the axial direction. Specifically, the coil spring 24 is disposed in the space S between the second annular wall portion 22b2 and the spring retaining portion 25b in the axial direction.
[0061] As in the Fig. As shown in Figures 3 to 6, the coil spring 24 is arranged radially between a spring locking portion (spring lock) 25c (described below) of the holding member 25 and the first tubular portion 22a1 of the second member 22. Specifically, the coil spring 24 is arranged radially between the concave-convex portions 21b and the locking portion of the holding member 25.
[0062] More precisely, as in Fig. 6, the coil spring 24 is arranged between the head portion 23a of the pin member 23 and the locking portion of the retaining member 25. One end of the coil spring 24 is adjacent to the head portion 23a of the pin member 23, and the other end of the coil spring 24 is fixed to the spring locking portion 25c of the retaining member 25c.
[0063] As in the Fig. As shown in Figures 4 to 6, the metallic holding member 25 is fixed to the second member 22 and holds the coil spring 24. The holding member 25 is formed by pressing. The holding member 25 includes a pair of fixing portions 25a, a spring holding portion 25b (an example of a fixing portion), and a spring locking portion 25c (an example of a locking portion). The pair of fixing portions 25a, the spring holding portion 25b, and the spring locking portion 25c are integrally formed.
[0064] The pair of fastening sections 25a are fixed to the second element 22. For example, the two fastening sections 25a are spaced apart from each other. Each of the two fastening sections 25a is fixed to the second annular wall section 22b2 with a fastening means, such as a screw element 25d.
[0065] The spring holding portion 25b serves to hold the coil spring 24. The spring holding portion 25b is formed integrally with the pair of fixing portions 25a. The spring holding portion 25b is formed integrally with the pair of fixing portions 25a between the spring locking portion 25c and the concave-convex portions 21b.
[0066] The spring holding portion 25b connects the pair of fixing portions 25a. For example, the spring holding portion 25b connects the pair of fixing portions 25a while bending from one of the fixing portions 25a to the other fixing portion 25a. As a result, the space S (see Fig. 6) for arranging the coil spring 24 between the spring holding portion 25b and the second annular wall portion 22b2 when the pair of fixing portions 25a are fixed to the second member 22.
[0067] The spring locking portion 25c locks the coil spring 24. For example, as shown in Fig. 6, the spring locking portion 25c protrudes the other end of the coil spring 24 outside the above-described space S. The spring locking portion 25c is disposed on the spring holding portion 25b. For example, the spring locking portion 25c is formed integrally with the spring holding portion 25b so as to be able to oppose the concavo-convex portions 21b. Specifically, the spring locking portion 25c extends radially inward from the spring holding portion 25b and is bent toward the second member 22, for example, the second annular wall portion 22b2, when the holding member 25 is attached to the second member 22.
[0068] When the spool 5 is rotated relative to the spool shaft 4 via the drag mechanism 8, the pin member 23 attached to the coil spring 24 in the sound generating mechanism 9 repeatedly comes into contact with the concave-convex portions 21b in the above-described configuration. The sound generating mechanism 9 generates sound through this contact.
[0069] In such a sound generating mechanism 9, since the holding member 25 is made of metal, it is possible to prevent wear of the holding member 25 even when the drag mechanism 8 generates heat around the sound generating mechanism 9. Since the fixing portions 25a, the spring fixing portion 25b, and the spring locking portion 25c are integrally formed, it is not necessary to fix the spring locking portion 25c to the fixing portions 25a in the holding member 25. For this reason, it is possible to easily assemble the holding member 25 and the coil spring 24 as a unit by locking the coil spring 24 with the spring locking portion 25c of the holding member 25c and holding it with the spring locking portion 25b of the holding member 25b. In this way, it is possible to improve the assembly of the holding member 25 and the coil spring 24 by the sound generating mechanism 9.
[0070] In the above-described embodiment, an example is shown in which the body portion 21a of the first member 21 is fixed to the fixing member 26. Alternatively, the body portion 21a of the first member 21 may be formed integrally with the fixing member 26. In this embodiment, the first member 21 includes the body portion 21a, the plurality of concave-convex portions 21b, and a first member fixing portion 26. The first member fixing portion 26 is fixed to the spool 5, for example, to the drag housing portion 53c, as in the above-described embodiment.
[0071] In the embodiment described above, an example was presented in which the second element 22 is mounted via the support element 28 on the connecting element 10, which is non-rotatably connected to the spool shaft 4. Alternatively, the second element 22 can be mounted directly on the connecting element 10, which is non-rotatably connected to the spool shaft 4.
[0072] In the embodiment described above, an example is shown in which the second element 22 is mounted via the support element 28 to the connecting element 10, which is non-rotatably connected to the spool shaft 4. Alternatively, the second element 22 can be non-rotatably mounted directly to the spool shaft 4.
[0073] In the above-described embodiment, an example is shown in which the spring locking portion 25c is formed integrally with the spring holding portion 25b to be able to oppose the concave-convex portions 21b. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 7, the spring locking portion 25c may be formed integrally with the fixing portions 25a so that it may oppose the concave-convex portions 21b.
