Abstract

Separation device (10) for cleaning a liquid comprising: - at least one container (11) with an interior space (12) for receiving liquid to be cleaned; - at least one inlet device (13) with a longitudinal axis (L) which is fluidly connected to the interior space (12) of the container (11) for receiving liquid and is rotatable about its longitudinal axis (L), wherein the inlet device (13) has at least one inlet connection (14) which extends inclined to the longitudinal axis (L) and can be brought into different rotational positions (A, B, C) by rotating the inlet device (13);and- at least one fastening device (15) for fastening the inlet device (13) to the container (11), wherein in the fastened state of the inlet device (13) the inlet connection (14) is fixed at one of the different rotational positions (A, B, C), characterized in that the container (11) has a container head (19) with at least one shoulder (38) which has a side wall (41) and a shoulder bottom (42), wherein the inlet device (13) is at least partially recessed in the shoulder (38), and the inlet device (13) has at least one ventilation connection (17) which, in the aligned state of the inlet connection (14), is fluidly connected to the interior (12) of the container (11) for ventilation via the side wall (41) of the shoulder (38).
