Abstract
Description
Field of invention
[0001] The invention relates to a cutting set for a hair clipper with a dust groove. State of the art
[0002] With cutting sets for hair clippers, it's common for hair and hair particles to quickly clog and obstruct the drive mechanism of the cutting blades, making the mechanism stiffer and requiring frequent cleaning. To address this issue, some cutting sets feature a straight groove behind the cutting comb on the stationary cutting blade, a so-called dust groove. This groove is designed to allow cut hair and hair particles to fall out of the cutting set during the cutting process. However, hair and hair particles also tend to get trapped in the dust groove itself, meaning that clogging still occurs relatively quickly.
[0003] DE 38 73 935 T2 discloses a shearing or hair-cutting blade arrangement with a first cutting blade arranged for relative movement with respect to a second cutting blade for cutting hair, wherein the first cutting blade has a front edge defined by the tips of a series of teeth, a first contact surface at the front edge for interaction with a first contact surface of the second cutting blade, and a second contact surface located at a distance rearward from the first contact surface for interaction with a second contact surface of the second cutting blade, and a groove formed in the first cutting blade and oriented transversely to the teeth. The transverse groove has an edge adjacent to the first contact surface of the first cutting blade, and the teeth have roots that intersect the plane containing the first contact surface.
[0004] DE 10 2008 010 444 A1 discloses a cutting set for a hair clipper with a shearing comb and a shearing blade, with a front support rib and a rear support rib which rest in a front support area and a rear support area of the shearing blade, wherein the shearing blade is movable in an oscillating manner parallel to a cutting edge via a drive-side attachable driver, wherein the shearing comb has at least one opening which is arranged at least in an area between the front support area and the rear support area.
[0005] DE 10 2015 111 690 A1 discloses a hair cutting machine with a cutting set comprising at least a fixed or adjustable shearing comb and a shearing blade which is driven to oscillate in a transverse direction substantially parallel to the front edge of the shearing comb, and which has a hair transport element which has transport teeth which are arranged substantially along the cutting edge of the shearing blade at a distance from the cutting edge of the shearing blade, wherein the shearing blade is arranged between the shearing comb and the hair transport element and wherein the cutting edge of the shearing blade projects beyond the front edge of the hair transport element.
[0006] The JP S58-86073 U discloses an electric hair clipper with a fixed blade and a movable blade that can slide left and right on the top of the fixed blade, and is equipped with a vibrator inside the main housing that drives the movable blade to vibrate left and right, wherein a hairbrush plate covering the top part of the movable blade and movable left and right is provided at the top of the main housing, and a transmission means is provided between the hairbrush plate and the vibrator to vibrate the hairbrush plate in conjunction with the oscillating movement of the vibrator left and right.
[0007] US 10 702 999 B2 discloses a spacer comb arrangement for a hair cutting device, wherein the comb arrangement comprises a comb piece arranged to be positioned on a skin-facing side of a stationary blade of a blade set, wherein the comb piece comprises a plurality of comb teeth defining a cutting length of the blade set when the comb arrangement is mounted thereon, and a bending section arranged to press a front section of the comb piece against the skin-facing side of the stationary blade. Description of the invention
[0008] The object of the invention is to provide a cutting set that exhibits higher resistance to contamination by hair and hair particles. This object is achieved by a cutting set according to claim 1. Further features that elaborate the invention are contained in the dependent claims.
[0009] A cutting set according to the invention for a hair clipper comprises a first stationary cutting blade with a comb, a second cutting blade with a comb that is movable back and forth relative to the stationary cutting blade in a lateral direction, and a connecting device that presses the second cutting blade against the first cutting blade. A dust groove is provided behind the comb of the stationary cutting blade, extending across the entire width of the stationary cutting blade to both lateral ends, with the dust groove increasing vertically towards at least one lateral end. The dust groove extends to both ends of the cutting blade so that hair and hair particles can fall laterally out of the cutting set. As the dust groove increases in height, the groove becomes deeper, i.e., the distance between the bottom of the groove and the top edge of the groove increases. The sloping bottom of the groove allows hair and hair particles to slide out of the groove more easily.
[0010] Preferably, the dust groove widens towards both lateral ends. This reduces the distance that the hair and hair particles have to travel before falling out laterally. The dust groove is particularly symmetrical, so that its highest point is located in the center of the stationary cutting blade.
[0011] Furthermore, at least one side wall of the dust groove can be beveled, in particular both side walls. This guides the hair and hair particles more effectively into the dust groove.
[0012] A preferred cutting set features a dust groove that increases incrementally and / or continuously. The incremental growth can be achieved, for example, via steps between 1 mm and 10 mm long, preferably at least 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, or 5 mm and at most 10 mm, 9 mm, 8 mm, 7 mm, or 6 mm. A continuous inclination of the groove bottom allows for more effective removal of hair and hair particles. Conversely, the stepped design prevents hair and hair particles from sliding in the wrong direction within the groove, as they would then become trapped by the steps. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the groove between the steps is also inclined, thus combining the advantages of both inclined and stepped grooves.
[0013] Preferably, the width of the dust groove increases, at least at the top edge, towards at least one lateral end. This means that the distance between the front (comb-facing) edge and the rear edge becomes greater. This improves the groove's dust collection capacity. Brief description of the characters Fig. 1a and Fig. 1b show isometric views of a cutting set according to the invention; Fig. 2a and Fig. 2b show top views of a stationary cutting blade with a dust groove according to the invention; Fig. 3a and Fig. Figure 3b shows side views of a stationary cutting blade with a dust groove according to the invention; and Fig. 4a and Fig. Figure 4b shows isometric views of a stationary cutting blade with a dust groove according to the invention. Description of preferred embodiments
[0014] The Fig. 1a and Fig. Figure 1b shows an isometric view of a cutting set 10 according to the invention. The cutting set 10 comprises a stationary cutting blade 20 and a cutting blade 12 movable relative to the stationary cutting blade 20. The two cutting blades 12, 20 are connected, for example, by a mechanical device that presses the two cutting blades 12, 20 against each other (here by a spring). Furthermore, a motion transmission device 14 is provided on the movable cutting blade 12, with which a drive in a hair clipper can transmit the motion to the movable cutting blade 12. Here, this motion transmission device 14 is designed as a lever that can receive a motion generated by an electric motor and then converted into a translational motion, so that the movable cutting blade 12 is moved back and forth relative to the stationary cutting blade 20. The stationary cutting blade 20 moves towards the main body when the hair clipper is used. The drive of the hair clipper is not relative and is therefore "stationary".
[0015] The cutting blades 12, 20 each have a comb 16, 22 comprising a plurality of teeth 24. During cutting, the hair enters the space between the teeth 24 of the two cutting blades 12, 20 and is cut by the relative movement between the cutting blades.
[0016] In the Fig. 2a and Fig. Figure 2b shows the stationary cutting blade 20 in a top view. Fig. Figure 2a shows a dust groove 28 with a sloping bottom, Fig. 2b a with a stepped base. In the top view, a dust groove 28 can be seen. This extends behind the comb 22 over the entire width of the stationary cutting blade 20, so that the hairs and hair particles located in the dust groove 28 can fall laterally out of the stationary cutting blade 20, especially when they are pushed by subsequent hairs and hair particles. The dust groove 28 has two lateral walls 29, 30, which can be inclined. This inclination of the walls is shown in the isometric view in Fig. 3. This is easy to see and simplifies the collection of hair and hair particles. For this, it is sufficient if only one wall is inclined. Fig. 3a and Fig. Figure 3b shows the stationary cutting blade 20 in a side view.
[0017] At least one of the walls 29, 30 of the dust groove 28 is preferably curved, so that the distance between the edges of the walls 29, 30 and the sides of the stationary cutting blade 20 increases. Here, the edge of the side wall 30 facing the comb is straight, while the edge 31 of the wall 29 facing away from the comb is curved. This increases the width of the groove at the side, allowing hair and hair particles moving towards the edge to fall out of the groove more easily. However, both side walls 29, 30 can also be curved. Preferably, the bottom 32 of the groove 28 can also widen towards the edge. Furthermore, the dust groove 20 and the groove bottom 32 can also be curved, particularly away from the comb 22, so that the ends of the dust groove 20 are further away from the comb 22 than the center of the dust groove 20.The dust groove is preferably between 3mm and 10mm wide at the bottom, while at the top edges of the groove it can preferably be between 3mm and 15mm wide.
[0018] In the Fig. 4a and Fig. Figure 4b shows the different configurations of the dust groove 20 in an isometric view. Fig. Figure 4a shows an inclined dust groove 20 without steps. The inclination of the groove bottom 32 can be provided over the entire dust groove 20 or only over a part of the groove bottom. In Fig. 4a there is a flat section 36, which is located in the middle. From there, the groove base 32 is in Fig. 5 then decreasing in scale. In Fig.Figure 4b shows a stepped dust groove. The individual steps 34 are preferably at least 0.05 mm, 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm high and preferably at most 2 mm. Preferably, the individual steps are also between 2 mm and 8 mm long. The steps themselves are preferably also inclined.
[0019] The groove base 32 preferably has a radius at the transition to one or both side walls 29, 30, so that the transition between the groove base 32 and the side walls 29, 30 is rounded. This prevents hair and hair particles from becoming trapped in the edges of the groove base and allows them to be more easily removed. The radius is preferably between 0.1 mm and 3 mm.
