[1] Tool (100) for fitting brake hoses in vehicles, comprising: - a base body (110) with a top (OS) and a bottom (US), wherein a longitudinal groove (112) is formed on the bottom (US) into which a brake hose can be inserted for insertion of the brake hose into a brake hose holder; and - a handle element (120) that is attached to the top (OS) of the base body (110) and can be gripped by an operator to insert the brake hose into the brake hose holder. [2] Tool (100) according to claim 1, wherein the brake hose is connected to a plastic holder, and wherein the plastic holder together with the brake hose can be inserted into the longitudinal groove (112), in particular wherein the plastic holder is a rubber holder. [3] Tool (100) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein a guide (114) is further formed on the underside (US) of the base body (110), which engages with the brake hose holder when the brake hose is inserted into the brake hose holder in order to guide the insertion of the brake hose into the brake hose holder.
