Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a motor vehicle with a rear-mounted air guide device that can be moved into an air brake position.
[0002] EP 2 470 413 B1 discloses a motor vehicle with a rear air guide device. The rear air guide device is movable between a first position and a second position, wherein in the second position the rear air guide device is positioned vertically relative to the first position. In the second position, the rear air guide device provides an air brake function. An air brake function is also referred to as an airbrake function. A brake light is integrated into the rear air guide device, specifically into a section of the rear air guide device that, in the second position of the rear air guide device, is directed rearward.
[0003] EP 0 849 146 B1 discloses a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1 with a rear-mounted air guide device that is movable between a retracted rest position and an extended operating position. The motor vehicle has a first brake light which, in the retracted rest position of the air guide device, is arranged in front of and above the air guide device in the longitudinal or forward direction of travel of the motor vehicle. In the second position of the air guide device, it at least partially obscures the first brake light in the vertical direction of the motor vehicle. Therefore, a further brake light is integrated into the air guide device.
[0004] EP 1 582 444 A2, DE 10 2006 032 023 B4, and DE 10 2018 005 242 A1 each disclose further motor vehicles with a rear air guide device, wherein a light source or lighting device is integrated into the respective rear air guide device.
[0005] JP S63 - 219 439 A discloses a motor vehicle with a rear air guide device and a brake light arranged below the rear air guide device.
[0006] DE 10 2018 102 244 A1 discloses a motor vehicle with a rear air guide device and a rear camera.
[0007] EP 3 812 216 A1, DE 10 2021 118 446 A1 each disclose motor vehicles with a rear air guide device and a camera attached to the rear air guide device.
[0008] DE 10 2018 107 345 A1 and EP 2 468 571 B1 disclose further state of the art.
[0009] In the case of a motor vehicle whose rear air deflector can be positioned vertically to provide an air brake function, the problem arises that the deflector, when relocated to provide the air brake function, at least partially obscures both a brake light and a rear window. Therefore, a road user driving behind the vehicle can no longer adequately see the brake light when the vehicle brakes, and the driver's view to the rear, particularly via the rearview mirror, is obstructed. This is problematic from a road safety perspective.
[0010] Therefore, there is a need for a motor vehicle in which road safety is fully guaranteed even when the rear air guide device is moved into the position providing an air brake function. The object of the invention is to provide such a motor vehicle with a rear air guide device that can be moved into an air brake position. This object is achieved by a motor vehicle according to claim 1.
[0011] According to the invention, the motor vehicle has a first brake light which, in the first position of the rear air guide device, is arranged in the longitudinal direction or in the forward direction of travel of the motor vehicle in front of and in the upward direction of the motor vehicle above the rear air guide device, and which, in the second position of the rear air guide device, i.e. in the air brake position of the rear air guide device, is at least partially covered by the rear air guide device in the upward direction of the motor vehicle. The motor vehicle also has a second brake light which is designed to illuminate a section of the rear air guide directed to the rear in the longitudinal direction or in the forward direction of travel of the motor vehicle when the rear air guide is moved into the second position or from a defined intermediate position of the rear air guide between the first position and the second position.
[0012] The invention enables a clearly perceptible brake light to be provided to a vehicle traveling behind the motor vehicle when the rear air guide device is moved into the second position used for providing the air brake function, or also from a defined intermediate position of the rear air guide device between its first and second positions. This is achieved via the second brake light, which illuminates the rearward-facing section of the rear air guide device that is positioned relative to the first position when the rear air guide device is in use for the air brake function.By reflecting the light emitted by the second brake light backwards via the section of the rear air deflector illuminated by the second brake light, a clearly perceptible brake light can be provided for road users behind the vehicle, without the need to integrate a brake light into the rear air deflector. This can significantly improve road safety.
[0013] Preferably, the second brake light of the motor vehicle is integrated into a body section of the motor vehicle arranged in the vertical direction of the motor vehicle below the rear air guide device, wherein the second brake light is configured, when the rear air guide device is moved into the second position or from the defined intermediate position of the rear air guide device between the first position and the second position thereof, to direct light upwards in the vertical direction of the motor vehicle onto the section of the rear air guide device which is erect in the vertical direction and directed longitudinally to the rearwards in the second position of the rear air guide device or in the respective intermediate position of the rear air guide device.and wherein the rearward-facing section of the rear air guide in the second position or the respective intermediate position of the rear air guide reflects the light directed onto it by the second brake light. Preferably, for this purpose, the rearward-facing section of the rear air guide in the area where it is struck by the light directed onto it by the second brake light has a reflector. This is particularly preferred in order to provide a clearly perceptible brake light for road users behind the vehicle with minimal effort when the rear air guide is moved into the second position serving to provide the air brake function. This can advantageously increase road safety.
[0014] Preferably, the second brake light is only active or activatable when the rear air guide is in the second position or the respective intermediate position, in order to direct light towards the rear air guide when the vehicle's brake pedal is pressed, with the first brake light preferably being deactivated in this case. This is particularly preferred for road safety reasons.
[0015] Preferably, in its first position, the rear air guide device exposes the rear window of the motor vehicle and in its second position at least partially obscures it, wherein the motor vehicle has a camera which is configured to capture an image of an environment located behind the motor vehicle when the rear air guide device is moved into the second position or from a defined intermediate position of the rear air guide device between the first position and the second position thereof, and wherein the motor vehicle further has a monitor which is configured to display the image captured by the camera visibly to a driver of the motor vehicle. This ensures that when the rear air guide device is moved to the second position used for the air brake function, the driver of the vehicle can perceive the area behind the vehicle without restriction, even if the rear window is at least partially obstructed. This significantly improves road safety.
[0016] Preferably, the camera is integrated into a rearward-facing section of the rear air guide device when the rear air guide device is in its second position, with the monitor preferably integrated into an interior rearview mirror of the vehicle. Integrating the camera into this section of the rear air guide device is particularly advantageous for capturing the area behind the vehicle. Integrating the monitor into the vehicle's interior rearview mirror, which serves as a rear-view mirror, is especially preferred to display the area behind the vehicle to the driver in the usual position, i.e., in the area of the interior rearview mirror. This can advantageously increase road safety.
[0017] Preferred embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims and the following description. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, without being limited thereto. The drawing shows: Fig. 1 a schematic view of a motor vehicle according to the invention with the rear air guide device in a first position, Fig. 2 a schematic view of a motor vehicle according to the invention with a rear air guide device in a second position, in which the same serves to provide an air brake function.
[0018] Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows a schematic side view of a motor vehicle 10, wherein the motor vehicle 10 has a rear air guide device 12 in a rear area 11.
[0019] The rear air guide device 12 is at least between the in Fig. 1 shown first position and the one in Fig. The second position shown in the second position can be moved, with the second position being the Fig. 2. The rear air guide device 12, for providing an air brake function, is positioned opposite its first position in the vertical direction Z of the motor vehicle 10 and therefore extends essentially vertically in the vertical direction of the motor vehicle 10. An air brake function is also referred to as an airbrake function.
[0020] The rear air guide device 12 is moved into the second position, which provides the air brake function, particularly when the brake pedal is pressed at a driving speed exceeding a certain limit, thus initiating a braking process. This increases air resistance and assists the braking process.
[0021] The motor vehicle 10 is further shown with a first brake light 13, which in the first position of the air guide device 12 is arranged in the longitudinal direction X or in the forward direction of travel of the motor vehicle 10 in front of and in the vertical direction Z of the motor vehicle 10 above the rear air guide device 12, specifically above a rear window 17. When the rear air guide device 12 is in Fig. When the first position shown in 1 is occupied, a brake light 14 emitted by the first brake light 13 is clearly perceptible to another road user positioned behind the vehicle 10. Then, when the rear air guide device 12 is in the Fig. The second position shown, serving to provide the air brake function, is occupied by the first brake light 13 of the motor vehicle 10 from the rear air guide device 12, which is in the second position of the Fig. 2 compared to the first position of the Fig. 1 is positioned in the upward direction Z of the motor vehicle 10, at least partially obscured, so that a brake light 14 emitted by the first brake light 13 is not perceptible or only partially perceptible to a road user located behind the motor vehicle 10.
[0022] To ensure that a clearly perceptible brake light is provided to a road user behind the vehicle 10 even when the air guide device 12 is moved to the second position, which serves to provide the air brake function, the vehicle 10 has a second brake light 15 in the rear area 11. The second brake light 15 is designed to illuminate when the rear air guide device 12 is moved to the second position, in which it provides the air brake function, or from a defined intermediate position of the rear air guide device 12 between the first position of the Fig. 1 and the second position of the Fig. 2, to illuminate a section 12a of the air guide device 12 directed to the rear, in particular obliquely to the rear, in the second position or the respective intermediate position of the air guide device 12 in the longitudinal direction X or in the forward direction of travel of the motor vehicle 10, wherein this section 12a of the air guide device 12 illuminated by the second brake light 15 then reflects the light emitted by the second brake light 15 to the rear to provide a brake light 16.
[0023] The second brake light 15 is integrated into a body section of the motor vehicle 10 arranged in the upward direction Z of the motor vehicle 10 below the air guide device 12.
[0024] The second brake light 15 is preferably only active or activatable and only emits light towards the air guide device 12 when the brake pedal is actuated if the air guide device 12 is moved into the second position, or from the point where the defined intermediate position for the air guide device 12 is reached during its transfer from the Fig. 1 shown first position in the in Fig. 2. Second position shown.
[0025] In particular, when the second brake light 15 is active or can be activated and the brake light 16 is emitting, the first brake light 13 is inactive or cannot be activated. Depending on whether the driver applies the brake pedal, either the first brake light 13 or the second brake light 15 illuminates the respective brake light 14, 16 to the rear, depending on the position of the air guide device 12.
[0026] When the air guide device 12 assumes the first position of the Fig. If position 1 is activated, the first brake light 13 is active or can be activated, and the second brake light 15 is inactive or cannot be activated, so that when the brake pedal is pressed, the brake light 14 can only be emitted to the rear via the first brake light 13. If, however, the rear air guide device 12 assumes the second position of the Fig. 2 or the respective intermediate position, the first brake light 13 is inactive or cannot be activated, and the second brake light 15 is active or can be activated, so that when the driver's brake pedal is actuated, brake light 16 is emitted exclusively via the second brake light 15, which is reflected at section 12a of the air guide device 12 occupying the second position or the respective intermediate position. This can advantageously increase road safety.
[0027] Preferably, the one in the second position of the Fig. 2. The rear-facing section 12a of the rear air guide device 12 has a reflector which supports the reflection of the light emitted from the second brake light 15 towards section 12a to the rear.
[0028] The second brake light 15 is preferably only active or activatable when the rear air guide device 12 is moved into the second position or only from the defined intermediate position of the rear air guide device 12, in order to direct light towards the air guide device 12 when the brake pedal of the motor vehicle 10 is pressed.
[0029] Although it is preferred, then, when the rear air guide device 12 is in the second position of the Fig. If the first brake light 13 is switched to inactive or deactivated, it is also possible to leave it switched on when the air guide device 12 is switched to the second position, so that when the driver's brake pedal is actuated, both the first brake light 13 and the second brake light 15 emit a respective brake light 14, 16 to the rear.
[0030] The second brake light 15 is integrated into a body section of the motor vehicle 10 arranged in the upward direction Z of the motor vehicle 10 below the rear air guide 12. The second brake light 15 is designed to emit light upwards in the upward direction Z and to direct it towards the section 12a of the rear air guide 12, which is directed rearwards in the longitudinal direction X or in the forward direction of travel of the motor vehicle 10 in the second position or the respective intermediate position of the rear air guide 12.
[0031] This section 12a of the rear air guide device 12 reflects the light emitted upwards by the second brake light 15 in the vertical direction Z in the longitudinal direction X to the rear and preferably carries the reflector for this purpose.
[0032] It is possible, when the rear air guide device 12 is moved into the second position or even from its respective intermediate position, to project an image and / or text onto section 12a of the air guide device 12 via the second brake light 15 in order to display additional information to the road user located behind the vehicle 10.
[0033] The motor vehicle 10 has the rear window 17 below the first brake light 13. Then, when the air guide device 12 is in the first position of the Fig. When position 1 is reached, the air guide device 12 opens the rear window 17, allowing the driver an unobstructed view through the rear window 17, particularly via an interior mirror 18 installed in the vehicle 10, which serves as a rearview mirror. In the second position of the Fig. 2, however, the air guide device 12 obscures the rear window 17 at least partially, so that the area behind the motor vehicle 10 is not or only very limitedly visible, in particular via an interior mirror 18 installed in the motor vehicle 10.
[0034] In order to nevertheless make the environment behind the motor vehicle 10 perceptible to the driver of the motor vehicle 10 when the rear air guide device 12 is moved into the position for providing the air brake function, the motor vehicle 10 has a camera 19 which captures an image of the environment behind the motor vehicle 10 when the rear air guide device 12 is moved into the second position or from an intermediate position of the rear air guide device 12 between the first position and the second position thereof.
[0035] Furthermore, the motor vehicle 10 has at least one monitor 20 which is designed to display the image captured by the camera 19 to a driver, wherein in the Fig. 1 and Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 2, this monitor 20 is integrated into the interior mirror 18 of the motor vehicle 10.
[0036] In this case, the image captured by camera 19 is displayed on monitor 20 at a position visible to the driver, to which the driver would naturally direct his gaze to observe the surroundings behind the vehicle 10.
[0037] Alternatively or additionally, it is possible to display the image captured by the camera 19 on another monitor, for example on a monitor integrated into a combination instrument or center console or an exterior mirror of the motor vehicle 10 or via a head-up display.
[0038] Other positions are also possible for a monitor 20 that is easily visible to the driver inside the vehicle, in order to display to the driver the image of the rear surroundings of the vehicle 10 captured by the camera 19.
[0039] The camera 19, which allows the rear surroundings of the motor vehicle 10 to be detected when the air guide device 12 is moved to its second position, is preferably integrated into a rearward-facing section 12b of the air guide device 12 when the air guide device 12 is moved to its second position, preferably adjacent to the section 12a that is illuminated by the second brake light 15 when the air guide device 12 is moved to its second position. The section 12b, in which the camera 19 is located, is preferably not illuminated by the second brake light 15 and is preferably located outside the light reflection of section 12a.
[0040] The invention therefore relates to the motor vehicle 10 with the rear air guide device 12, which can be moved into a position serving to provide an air brake function, in which the air guide device 12 is positioned vertically in the upward direction Z of the motor vehicle 10 and at least partially covers a first brake light 13, which is arranged in particular above the rear window 17.
[0041] In order to provide a clearly perceptible brake light for a road user behind the motor vehicle 10 when the air guide device 12 is relocated to the position providing the air brake function, the motor vehicle 10 has a second brake light 15 which illuminates section 12a of the air guide device 12, with this section 12a reflecting the light emitted by the second brake light 15 to the rear. This section 12a of the air guide device 12, which serves to reflect the light emitted by the second brake light 15, is oriented in the position of the air guide device 12 providing the air brake function to the rear, in particular obliquely to the rear, and is vertically oriented in the vertical direction Z.
[0042] Adjacent to this section 12a, the camera 19 is preferably integrated into the air guide device 12, which captures a rear environment of the motor vehicle 10 and provides a corresponding image to the monitor 20 in order to then display the image of the rear environment to a driver of the motor vehicle 10.
[0043] It is also possible that when a reverse gear is selected for the motor vehicle 10 by the driver, the air guide device 12 moves into the position that normally serves to provide the air brake function or a defined intermediate position between the first position and the second position. Fig. 2 to move in order to display the image captured by camera 19 on the monitor 20 for the driver and thus make reversing easier for the driver, especially when parking or the like.
