Abstract

Engine compartment trim for forming an underbody of an engine compartment of a motor vehicle, comprising a plate-shaped trim body with a top surface facing the engine compartment in the installation position and an opposite bottom surface, as well as a front edge directed towards the front of the motor vehicle in the installation position, and a plurality of ventilation openings penetrating the trim body, wherein at least a part of the ventilation openings each has a rim section projecting upwards and surrounding the ventilation opening at least in a rear area as seen in the direction of the front edge, which is inclined at least partially towards a front edge of the trim body.
