Abstract

The present application discloses a method for controlling a vehicle and a computer software product. The method for controlling a vehicle, when operating at positive torque, determines whether strong acceleration is required based on the magnitude and rate of change of the torque, the vehicle speed, and the longitudinal acceleration. If no strong acceleration is required, the vehicle's total tractive force is limited. The vehicle control method according to the present application allows for the optimization of the vehicle's performance.
