A VEHICLE LIGHT BAR

Abstract

A vehicle is disclosed that includes a light bar, a vehicle sensor, and a processor. The light bar can be mounted on a structural vehicle component within a vehicle interior section. The light bar can be configured to illuminate the upper body of a driver. The vehicle sensor can detect a driver's gesture within the vehicle interior section. The processor can receive inputs from the vehicle sensor that correspond to the driver's gesture and, based on these inputs, determine that the driver's gesture is a predefined gesture. The processor can switch the operating state of the light bar from an off state to an on state in response to a determination that the driver's gesture corresponds to the predefined gesture, thus enabling a user outside the vehicle to see the driver's gestures.
