Abstract
Pneumatic tires, including: a tread section (1) extending in a circumferential direction of the tire and having a ring shape; a pair of sidewall sections (2) arranged on both sides of the running surface section (1); and a pair of bead sections (3) which are each arranged on an inner side of the pair of sidewall sections (2) in the tire radial direction; at least one carcass layer (4) which is placed between the pair of bead sections (3) and is folded back from an inside of the tire towards an outside around a bead core (5) which is provided in each of the bead sections (3); a plurality of belt layers (7) arranged on an outer circumferential side of the carcass layer (4) in the tread section (1); and a plurality of circumferential grooves (10, 11) extending along the tire circumferential direction on an outer surface of the tread section (1); wherein the majority of belt layers (7) comprising a cross-belt pair (7') consisting of two belt layers (7), are configured, the inclination directions of the reinforcing cord threads, which form each of the belt layers (7), to reverse between the layers (7) to cause the reinforcing cord threads to overlap, wherein a distance D1 between a tire outer surface and an endpoint of the cross-belt pair (7') on the outer side in the tire radial direction and the outer side in the tire width direction, which is measured parallel to a line segment L1 connecting a ground contact edge P2 and an edge section P1 of the outermost groove (11) on the outer side in the tire width direction, which is located on the outermost side in the tire width direction of the majority of circumferential grooves (10, 11), satisfies a relationship of 15 mm ≤ D1 ≤ 25 mm, where a distance G1 between the majority of belt layers (7) and the carcass layer (4), which is measured at a normal of the carcass layer (4) passing through an outer endpoint in an effective width of the cross-belt pair (7'), satisfies a relationship of 2.5 mm ≤ G1 ≤ 9.0 mm, and wherein a radial height Hα from a position of a core split point P3, which is defined as an intersection of the carcass layer (4) with an extension line of a side on the outside of the bead core (5) in the tire radial direction, to a maximum outer diameter position of the carcass layer (4) and a radial height Hβ from the position of the core separation point P3 to a tire maximum width position satisfy a relationship of 0.55 ≤ Hβ / Hα ≤ 0.65.
