[0058] The following will be combined with the drawings in the embodiments of the present application to clearly and completely describe the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application. Obviously, the embodiments described are only part of the embodiments of the present application, not all of the embodiments. Based on the embodiments in the present application, all other embodiments obtained by those skilled in the art without creative work are within the scope of protection of the present application.

[0059] The present invention provides a screen display driving method, which can be applied to electronic devices such as televisions, smart phones, computers, and tablet computers.

[0060] Please refer to Figure 1, which is a flow chart of a screen display driving method provided by an embodiment of the present application. The screen display driving method may include the following steps:

[0061] Step 101: Acquire configuration information of a driver IC from a display screen module installed on a device to be detected.

[0062] The device to be tested may be a device in which all required components have been installed, or it may be a device in the process of being installed (for example, some components, such as the back shell, are in the process of being assembled on the assembly line and have not yet been installed, and the installation step of the back shell is after the step of assembling the display screen module on the device). In one embodiment, the device to be tested is a collection of all components of the electronic device except the display screen module, that is, the part of the electronic device except the display screen module is the device to be tested. In another embodiment, the device to be tested may be the control motherboard or other circuit board with control functions of the electronic device, which is not specifically limited here.

[0063] The display screen module may be a display screen.

[0064] In some embodiments, only when it is detected that the device to be detected is configured with a screen for the first time, the configuration information of the driver IC is obtained from the display screen module installed on the device to be detected.

[0065] Among them, screen configuration means that for the same screen, the device to be tested sets itself according to the screen parameters for the first time.

[0066] Step 102: Generate a target point-to-point transmission protocol required by the device to be detected based on the configuration information.

[0067] In some embodiments, the configuration information includes a point-to-point transmission protocol type, and generating a target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the configuration information includes:

[0068] Based on the point-to-point transmission protocol category, determining a category of a target point-to-point transmission protocol corresponding to the screen;

[0069] The target point-to-point transmission protocol is generated based on the category of the target point-to-point transmission protocol.

[0070] That is, the target P2P transmission protocol category corresponding to the screen is determined according to the P2P transmission protocol category in the configuration information, and the required target P2P transmission protocol is generated based on the target P2P transmission protocol category.

[0071] In some embodiments, the configuration information includes information about the number of driver ICs in the display module, and generating a target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the configuration information includes:

[0072] Determining a communication interface between the display screen module and the device to be detected based on the number information of the driver ICs;

[0073] Based on the determined communication interface, the target point-to-point transmission protocol is generated.

[0074] That is, the communication interface between the display screen module and the device to be detected is determined according to the number of driver ICs in the configuration information, and then the required target point-to-point transmission protocol is generated based on the determined communication interface.

[0075] The communication interface is a transmission channel. Determining the communication interface between the display screen module and the device to be detected may be determining the number of transmission channels between the display screen module and the device to be detected.

[0076] In some embodiments, the configuration information includes register configuration information of a point-to-point transmission protocol, and generating a target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the configuration information includes:

[0077] Determining, based on the register configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol, the register corresponding to each driver IC when configuring the target point-to-point transmission protocol;

[0078] The target point-to-point transmission protocol is generated based on the determined register.

[0079] That is, the configuration information includes the register configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol, so that the registers corresponding to each driver IC when the target point-to-point transmission protocol is configured can be configured according to the register configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol, thereby generating the required target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the determined registers.

[0080] Registers, whose function is to store binary code, are composed of flip-flops with storage functions. A flip-flop can store one bit of binary code, so a register that stores n bits of binary code requires n flip-flops. Registers can be divided into two categories based on their function: basic registers and shift registers. Basic registers can only input and output data in parallel. Data in a shift register can be shifted right or left bit by bit in response to shift pulses. Data can be input and output in parallel, serially, or both, making it highly flexible and versatile.

[0081] In some embodiments, the register configuration information includes the configuration information length of the point-to-point transmission protocol and the correspondence between the driver IC and the register category. The determining, based on the register configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol, the register corresponding to each driver IC when configuring the target point-to-point transmission protocol includes:

[0082] Determining the number of registers required to configure the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the configuration information length of the point-to-point transmission protocol;

[0083] Based on the correspondence between the driver ICs and register types, the register corresponding to each driver IC is determined.

[0084] The register category includes the number of registers.

[0085] That is, the configuration information includes the configuration information length of the point-to-point transmission protocol and the correspondence between the driver IC and the register category, so that the register category required to configure the target point-to-point transmission protocol can be determined based on the configuration information length of the point-to-point transmission protocol, and then based on the correspondence between the driver IC and the register category, the register corresponding to each driver IC can be determined.

[0086] In some embodiments, the register configuration information includes different configuration information types of the point-to-point transmission protocol and the correspondence between the driver IC and the register content. The determining, based on the register configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol, the register corresponding to each driver IC when configuring the target point-to-point transmission protocol includes:

[0087] Determining register contents required for configuring the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the type of difference configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol;

[0088] Based on the correspondence between the driver ICs and the register contents, the register corresponding to each driver IC is determined.

[0089] In some embodiments, the configuration information includes a dummy channel setting type of the driver IC, and generating a target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the configuration information includes:

[0090] Determining the number of dummies corresponding to the driver IC based on the type of the dummy channel of the driver IC;

[0091] Based on the determined number of dummies, the target point-to-point transmission protocol is generated.

[0092] Among them, dummy channel setting types: the number of dummies of different screen edge COFs may be different. Here, all dummy situation categories (up to 3 types) are listed according to the starting end and the ending end.

[0093] Each COF (driver IC) corresponds to the dummy setting selection: each COF is selected according to the corresponding dummy situation category.

[0094] In some embodiments, after generating the target point-to-point transmission protocol, the method further includes:

[0095] The target point-to-point transmission protocol and configuration information corresponding to the target point-to-point transmission protocol are saved on a system-on-chip of the device to be detected.

[0096] Among them, the target point-to-point transmission protocol and the configuration information corresponding to the target point-to-point transmission protocol are saved on the system-level chip of the device to be detected so that when it is detected that the device to be detected is not configured for the first time, the previous point-to-point transmission protocol can be directly called as the target point-to-point transmission protocol, thereby eliminating the need to regenerate the required target point-to-point transmission protocol.

[0097] Step 103: driving the screen to display based on the target point-to-point transmission protocol.

[0098] That is, after the required target point-to-point transmission protocol is obtained, the screen can be driven to display using the target point-to-point transmission protocol.

[0099] In some embodiments, before acquiring the configuration information of the driver IC from the display screen module installed on the device to be detected, the method further includes:

[0100] Detecting whether the device to be detected is configured with a screen for the first time;

[0101] If yes, continue the step of obtaining the configuration information of the driver IC from the display screen module installed on the device to be tested;

[0102] If not, the step of obtaining the configuration information of the driver IC from the display screen module installed on the device to be detected is not performed, and the target point-to-point transmission protocol stored on the system-level chip of the device to be detected is directly called to drive the screen for display.

[0103] That is, before obtaining the driver IC configuration information from the display module installed on the device to be tested, it is first detected whether the device to be tested is being configured for the first time. If so, the previous step of obtaining the driver IC configuration information from the display module installed on the device to be tested is continued to generate the required target point-to-point transmission protocol, thereby driving the screen for display. If not, the target point-to-point transmission protocol stored on the system-level chip of the device to be tested is directly called to drive the screen for display, saving the time of re-obtaining the target point-to-point transmission protocol.

[0104] All of the above optional technical solutions can be combined in any way to form optional embodiments of the present application, and will not be described in detail here.

[0105] During specific implementation, the present application is not limited by the execution order of the various steps described. If no conflict occurs, some steps can be performed in other orders or simultaneously.

[0106] From the above, it can be seen that the screen display driving method provided in the embodiment of the present application, when it is detected that the screen is configured for the first time, obtains the configuration information of the driver IC from the display screen module installed on the device to be detected, and then generates the target point-to-point transmission protocol required by the device to be detected. This avoids the problem of complexity and difficulty in research and development or production due to the pre-setting of the target point-to-point transmission protocol before the first screen configuration, resulting in the need to configure different software on the movement board to match different point-to-point transmission protocols during the research and development or production process.

[0107] The present application also provides a method for configuring screen information, as shown in FIG2 and FIG3 , the method comprising:

[0108] During the display screen module production phase, when it is detected that the user inputs point-to-point transmission protocol configuration information into the display screen module, the point-to-point transmission protocol configuration information input by the user is stored in a storage unit in the display screen module.

[0109] In some embodiments, the configuration information includes a point-to-point transport protocol type.

[0110] COF protocol category (point-to-point transmission protocol category): Different screen manufacturers use different communication protocols. Each protocol has a corresponding number and is stored according to the corresponding number.

[0111] In some embodiments, the configuration information includes information about the number of driver ICs in the display screen module.

[0112] COF number information (number of driver ICs): The number of COFs varies from screen to screen due to different resolutions or pixel arrangement structures, and is stored according to the actual number.

[0113] In some embodiments, the point-to-point transmission protocol configuration information includes register configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol.

[0114] In some embodiments, the register configuration information includes the configuration information length of the point-to-point transmission protocol and the correspondence between the driver IC and the register type.

[0115] COF protocol configuration information length (configuration information length of the point-to-point transmission protocol): Different protocols require different COF configuration information lengths. Based on an 8-bit register, this parameter stores the required configuration information length and is used to plan storage space for detailed configuration register information.

[0116] In some embodiments, the register configuration information includes different configuration information types of the point-to-point transmission protocol and a correspondence between the driver IC and the register content.

[0117] COF difference configuration information type (different configuration information type of point-to-point transmission protocol): The COF configuration information of a screen may be different. The number of existing difference types is stored here.

[0118] In some embodiments, the configuration information includes a dummy channel setting type of the driver IC, and a correspondence between a dummy channel type and a dummy quantity.

[0119] Dummy channel setting type: The number of dummies for different screen edge COFs may be different. Here, all dummy situation categories (up to 3 types) are listed according to the starting end and the ending end.

[0120] Each COF (driver IC) corresponds to the dummy setting selection: each COF is selected according to the corresponding dummy situation category.

[0121] During the first screen configuration process, the SOC reads the COF configuration information of the screen storage unit, identifies each configuration information, and then converts the information through a specific algorithm to configure the COF communication transmission protocol.

[0122] It should be emphasized that to improve boot speed, the SoC can store these parameter information in the memory on the motherboard. The next time you boot up, you only need to check whether the OC model is consistent with the stored information. If they are consistent, the display driver is initialized with the set of parameters stored in the SoC by default to complete the screen configuration. If they are inconsistent, all the screen configuration information is read again and the display driver is initialized to complete the screen configuration.

[0123] The embodiment of the present application further provides a screen display driving device, which can be integrated into an electronic device, such as a television or other display device.

[0124] Please refer to FIG4, which is a schematic diagram of the structure of the screen display driving device provided in an embodiment of the present application. The screen display driving device 30 may include:

[0125] An acquisition module 31 is used to acquire configuration information of a driver IC from a display screen module installed on a device to be detected;

[0126] A generating module 32, configured to generate a target point-to-point transmission protocol required by the device to be detected based on the configuration information;

[0127] The driving module 33 is configured to drive the screen to display based on the target point-to-point transmission protocol.

[0128] In some embodiments, the generating module 32 is configured to determine the category of the target point-to-point transmission protocol corresponding to the screen based on the category of the point-to-point transmission protocol; and generate the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the category of the target point-to-point transmission protocol.

[0129] In some embodiments, the generating module 32 is configured to determine the communication interface between the display screen module and the device to be detected based on the number information of the driver ICs; and generate the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the determined communication interface.

[0130] In some embodiments, the generation module 32 is used to determine the registers corresponding to each driver IC when configuring the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the register configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol; and generate the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the determined registers.

[0131] In some embodiments, the generating module 32 is configured to determine the number of dummies corresponding to the driver IC based on the type of the dummy channel of the driver IC; and generate the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the determined number of dummies.

[0132] During specific implementation, the above modules can be implemented as independent entities, or can be arbitrarily combined to be implemented as the same entity or several entities.

[0133] As can be seen from the above, the screen display driving device 30 provided in the embodiment of the present application obtains the configuration information of the driver IC from the display screen module installed on the device to be detected through the acquisition module 31; generates the target point-to-point transmission protocol required by the device to be detected based on the configuration information through the generation module 32; and drives the screen to display based on the target point-to-point transmission protocol through the driving module 33. When the embodiment of the present application detects that the screen is configured for the first time, it obtains the configuration information of the driver IC from the display screen module installed on the device to be detected, and then generates the target point-to-point transmission protocol required by the device to be detected. This avoids the problem of configuring different software on the movement board to match different point-to-point transmission protocols during the research and development or production process because the target point-to-point transmission protocol is set in advance before the first screen configuration, thereby causing problems of complexity and difficulty in research and development or production.

[0134] Please refer to Figure 5, which is another schematic diagram of the structure of the screen display driver provided in an embodiment of the present application. The screen display driver 30 includes a memory 120, one or more processors 180, and one or more application programs, wherein the one or more application programs are stored in the memory 120 and configured to be executed by the processor 180; the processor 180 may include an acquisition module 31, a generation module 32, and a driver module 33. For example, the structure and connection relationship of the above components can be as follows:

[0135] The memory 120 can be used to store applications and data. The applications stored in the memory 120 include executable code. The applications can be composed of various functional modules. The processor 180 executes various functional applications and data processing by running the applications stored in the memory 120. In addition, the memory 120 may include high-speed random access memory and non-volatile memory, such as at least one disk storage device, flash memory device, or other volatile solid-state storage device. Accordingly, the memory 120 may also include a memory controller to provide the processor 180 with access to the memory 120.

[0136] Processor 180 is the control center of the device, connecting all components of the terminal using various interfaces and circuits. It executes or runs applications stored in memory 120 and accesses data stored in memory 120 to perform various device functions and process data, thereby providing overall monitoring of the device. Optionally, processor 180 may include one or more processing cores; preferably, processor 180 may integrate an application processor and a modem processor, with the application processor primarily processing the operating system, user interface, and application programs.

[0137] Specifically, in this embodiment, the processor 180 loads the executable code corresponding to one or more application processes into the memory 120 according to the following instructions, and the processor 180 runs the application stored in the memory 120 to implement various functions:

[0138] An acquisition module 31 is used to acquire configuration information of a driver IC from a display screen module installed on a device to be detected;

[0153] The present application also provides an electronic device. Referring to FIG6 , FIG6 shows a schematic diagram of the structure of the electronic device provided in the present application, which can be used to implement the screen display driving method or screen information configuration method provided in the above embodiments.

[0154] As shown in FIG6 , the electronic device 1200 may include components such as an RF (Radio Frequency) circuit 110, a memory 120 including one or more (only one is shown in the figure) computer-readable storage media, an input unit 130, a display unit 140, a sensor 150, an audio circuit 160, a transmission module 170, a processor 180 including one or more (only one is shown in the figure) processing cores, and a power supply 190. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the structure of the electronic device 1200 shown in FIG4 does not limit the electronic device 1200 and may include more or fewer components than shown, or combine certain components, or arrange the components differently. Among them:

[0155] RF circuit 110 is used to receive and transmit electromagnetic waves, converting them into electrical signals, thereby enabling communication with a communications network or other devices. RF circuit 110 may include various existing circuit components for performing these functions, such as an antenna, a radio frequency transceiver, a digital signal processor, an encryption / decryption chip, a subscriber identity module (SIM) card, and memory. RF circuit 110 can communicate with various networks, such as the Internet, an intranet, or a wireless network, or with other devices via a wireless network.

[0156] The memory 120 can be used to store software programs and modules, such as the program instructions / modules corresponding to the vibration adjustment method in the above embodiment. The processor 180 executes various functional applications and data processing by running the software programs and modules stored in the memory 120. This can avoid the problem of complexity and difficulty in research and development or production due to the pre-setting of the target point-to-point transmission protocol before the first screen configuration. This may cause different software to be configured on the movement board to match different point-to-point transmission protocols during the research and development or production process.

[0157] The memory 120 may include a high-speed random access memory (RAM) and may also include a non-volatile memory, such as one or more magnetic storage devices, flash memory, or other non-volatile solid-state memory. In some examples, the memory 120 may further include a memory remotely located relative to the processor 180, and such remote memory may be connected to the electronic device 1200 via a network. Examples of such networks include, but are not limited to, the Internet, an intranet, a local area network, a mobile communication network, and combinations thereof.

[0158] The input unit 130 can be used to receive digital or character input and generate keyboard, mouse, joystick, optical, or trackball signal input related to user settings and function control. Specifically, the input unit 130 may include a touch-sensitive surface 131 and other input devices 132. The touch-sensitive surface 131, also known as a touch display or touchpad, can detect user touch operations on or near it (for example, operations performed on or near the touch-sensitive surface 131 using a finger, stylus, or any other suitable object or accessory) and activate corresponding connected devices according to pre-set programs. Optionally, the touch-sensitive surface 131 may include a touch detection device and a touch controller. The touch detection device detects the user's touch position and detects signals generated by the touch operation, transmitting these signals to the touch controller. The touch controller receives the touch information from the touch detection device, converts it into touch point coordinates, and then transmits it to the processor 180. The touch controller can also receive and execute commands from the processor 180. Furthermore, the touch-sensitive surface 131 can be implemented using various types of touch sensors, including resistive, capacitive, infrared, and surface acoustic wave. In addition to the touch-sensitive surface 131, the input unit 130 may further include other input devices 132. Specifically, the other input devices 132 may include, but are not limited to, one or more of a physical keyboard, function keys (such as volume control keys, power keys, etc.), a trackball, a mouse, and a joystick.

[0159] The display unit 140 can be used to display information input by the user or information provided to the user, as well as various graphical user interfaces of the electronic device 1200. These graphical user interfaces can be composed of graphics, text, icons, videos, or any combination thereof. The display unit 140 may include a display panel 141. Optionally, the display panel 141 can be configured in the form of an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), an OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode), or the like. Furthermore, the touch-sensitive surface 131 can cover the display panel 141. When the touch-sensitive surface 131 detects a touch operation on or near it, it transmits the information to the processor 180 to determine the type of touch event. The processor 180 then provides a corresponding visual output on the display panel 141 based on the type of touch event. Although in Figure 4, the touch-sensitive surface 131 and the display panel 141 are implemented as two independent components to implement input and output functions, in some embodiments, the touch-sensitive surface 131 and the display panel 141 can be integrated to implement input and output functions.

[0160] The electronic device 1200 may also include at least one sensor 150, such as a light sensor, a motion sensor, or other sensors. Specifically, the light sensor may include an ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor. The ambient light sensor can adjust the brightness of the display panel 141 based on the brightness of the ambient light, and the proximity sensor can turn off the display panel 141 and / or the backlight when the electronic device 1200 is brought to your ear. A gravity accelerometer, a type of motion sensor, can detect the magnitude of acceleration in all directions (generally three axes) and, when stationary, the magnitude and direction of gravity. This can be used for applications that recognize the phone's posture (such as switching between landscape and portrait modes, related games, and magnetometer posture calibration), as well as for vibration recognition functions (such as pedometers and tapping). Other sensors that may also be configured in the electronic device 1200, such as a gyroscope, barometer, hygrometer, thermometer, and infrared sensor, are not described here.

[0161] The audio circuit 160, speaker 161, and microphone 162 provide an audio interface between the user and the electronic device 1200. The audio circuit 160 can convert received audio data into electrical signals and transmit them to the speaker 161, which then converts the signals into sound signals for output. Furthermore, the microphone 162 converts the collected sound signals into electrical signals, which are then received by the audio circuit 160 and converted into audio data. The audio data is then processed by the processor 180 and transmitted to, for example, another terminal via the RF circuit 110, or the audio data is output to the memory 120 for further processing. The audio circuit 160 may also include an earphone jack to allow communication between an external headset and the electronic device 1200.

[0162] Electronic device 1200, through transmission module 170 (e.g., a Wi-Fi module), can help users send and receive emails, browse web pages, and access streaming media, providing users with wireless broadband Internet access. Although FIG4 illustrates transmission module 170, it is understood that it is not a required component of electronic device 1200 and can be omitted as needed without changing the essence of the invention.

[0168] Based on the target point-to-point transmission protocol, the screen is driven to perform display.

[0169] In some embodiments, the processor 180 is configured to determine a type of a target point-to-point transmission protocol corresponding to the screen based on the point-to-point transmission protocol type;

[0173] In some embodiments, the processor 180 is configured to determine, based on the register configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol, the register corresponding to each driver IC when configuring the target point-to-point transmission protocol;

[0174] The target point-to-point transmission protocol is generated based on the determined register.

[0175] In some embodiments, the processor 180 is configured to determine a register type required to configure the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on a length of configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol;

[0176] Based on the correspondence between the driver ICs and register types, the register corresponding to each driver IC is determined.

[0177] In some embodiments, the processor 180 is configured to determine register contents required to configure the target point-to-point transmission protocol based on the type of differential configuration information of the point-to-point transmission protocol;

[0178] Based on the correspondence between the driver ICs and the register contents, the register corresponding to each driver IC is determined.
