Detailed embodiments
[0036] Example embodiments will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the embodiments may be implemented in a variety of forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be more thorough and complete, and will fully convey the idea of the example embodiments to those skilled in the art. Like reference numerals throughout the drawings designate like or similar structures, and repeated descriptions thereof are omitted. Furthermore, the drawings are merely schematic representations of this disclosure and are not necessarily drawn to scale.
[0037] Although relative terms such as "top" and "bottom" are used in the description to describe the relative relationship of one designated component to another designated component, these terms are used only for convenience in description, e.g., according to an exemplary direction shown in the drawings. It should be understood that when the illustrated device is turned upside down, the described upper component becomes a lower component. When a structure is located "on top of" another structure, this may mean that the structure is integrally formed on the other structure, or that the structure is disposed "directly" on the other structure, or that the structure is disposed "indirectly" via other structures on the other structure.
[0038] The terms "a", "an", "this", "the", and "at least one" are used to indicate that there are one or more elements / components or the like; the terms "comprise" and "comprise" are used to indicate an open meaning of "include", meaning that there may be further elements / components / etc. in addition to the listed elements / components / etc.; the terms "first", "second", and "third", etc., are used only as markers and do not limit the number of objects.
[0039] In the present disclosure, unless otherwise specified and limited, the term "connect" should be broadly defined. For example, a "connection" may be a fixed connection, a detachable connection, or an integral connection; it may also be a direct connection, or an indirect connection through an intermediary means. "And / or" is simply a description of the association relationship between associated objects and indicates that there can be three types of relationships, for example, A and / or B, which may mean: A exists alone, A and B exist simultaneously, and B exists alone. In addition, the character " / " in this article generally indicates that the associated objects before and after are in an "or" relationship.
[0040] The exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure provide a display panel. As shown in Fig. 1 to Fig. As shown in Figure 20, the display panel includes a display area AA and a peripheral area ZW arranged around the display area AA. The display panel may include a base substrate 1 and a grid-shaped conductive part 6. The grid-shaped conductive part 6 is arranged on one side of the base substrate 1 and is located in the display area AA, and the grid-shaped conductive part 6 may include a touch-sensing electrode 61 and a touch-sensing lead 62. The touch-sensing lead 62 is arranged on a side of the touch-sensing electrode 61 close to the peripheral area ZW and is located at least partially in the display area AA.A first gap 63 is provided between a normal projection of the touch sensing lead 62 on the base substrate 1 and a normal projection of the touch sensing electrode 61 on the base substrate 1, wherein a contour line of the first gap 63 comprises at least two first curves 631 which are sequentially connected to each other.
[0041] In the display panel of the present disclosure, on the one hand, the touch sensing lead line 62 is provided in the display area AA, so that few leads provided in the peripheral area ZW are led out of the display area AA, thereby occupying a smaller area of the peripheral area ZW and thus meeting the requirement for a narrow frame of the display panel. On the other hand, a first gap 63 is provided between a normal projection of the touch sensing lead line 62 on the base substrate 1 and a normal projection of the touch sensing electrode 61 on the base substrate 1, which isolates the touch sensing lead line 62 from the touch sensing electrode 61 to prevent the touch sensing lead line 62 from affecting the touch effect of the touch sensing electrode 61.In addition, a contour line of the first gap 63 comprises at least two first curves 631 which are connected to each other one after the other, which has a better hiding effect than the formation of the first gap 63 as a straight line.
[0042] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, the display panel may include a display area for displaying images, a display area AA for implementing touch functions, and a peripheral area ZW that does not display images. The peripheral area ZW may be arranged around the display area AA. It may also include a bending area BEND for bending and a bonding area BOD for bonding. The display area and the display area AA are the same area.
[0043] The peripheral region ZW may include a first non-display region FA1, a second non-display region FA2, a third non-display region FA3, and a fourth non-display region FA4. The first non-display region FA1 and the second non-display region FA2 are provided on two opposite sides of a second direction Y of the display region AA. The third non-display region FA3 and the fourth non-display region FA4 are provided on two opposite sides of a first direction X of the display region AA. A bonding region BOD is provided on a side of the second non-display region FA2 remote from the display region AA. Specifically, the bending region BEND is connected to the second non-display region FA2, and the bonding region BOD is connected to the bending region BEND, that is, the bending region BEND is connected between the bonding region BOD and the second non-display region FA2.
[0044] As in Fig. 2, the display panel can be bent in the bending area BEND so that the bonding area BOD is bent on a side of the display area AA facing away from the display surface.
[0045] With reference to Fig. 1, Fig. 4, Fig. 5, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, a bond pin 75 is provided in the bonding area BOD, to which an external device can be installed (or attached). External devices may include display driver chips 10, touch driver chips 12, flexible circuit boards 1111, or rigid circuit boards, etc. In addition, Chip On Flex or Chip On Film (COF), connecting agents, etc., may also be installed as external devices on bond pin 75. One or a plurality of external devices can be installed in the bonding area BOD. The display driver chip 10 may be arranged in the bonding area BOD of the display panel, and the circuit board may be attached to one end of the bonding area BOD. In this case, the display panel may include bond pins 75 connected to the display driver chip 10 and bond pins 75 connected to the circuit board. In another embodiment, the display driver chip 10 may be installed on a Chip On Flex, and the Chip On Flex may be attached to the bonding area BOD of the display panel.
[0046] With reference to Fig. 1, the display driver chip 10 can be installed on the same surface of the display panel as the display surface. The touch driver chip 12 can be installed on the same surface of the flexible printed circuit board 11 as the display surface. Referring to Fig. 2, the display driver chip 10 and the touch driver chip 12 are located on a side of the display panel remote from the display surface when the bending area BEND is bent in the reverse direction.
[0047] The touch driver chip 12 can be adhered to the flexible circuit board 11 using anisotropic conductive adhesive, or it can be attached to the flexible circuit board 11 using ultrasonic bonding. The width of the flexible circuit board 11 in the first direction X can be smaller than the width of the display panel in the first direction X. The width of the touch driver chip 12 in the first direction X can be smaller than the width of the flexible circuit board 11 in the first direction X.
[0048] The touch driver chip 12 may include an integrated circuit that drives the touch layer group 5. In the embodiment, the integrated circuit may be a touch driver integrated circuit that generates and provides touch drive signals, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The touch driver chip 12 is connected to the bond pin 75 of the display panel to provide touch drive signals to the bond pin 75 and receive touch induction signals returned from the touch layer group 5.
[0049] The display panel may include a display substrate, with a touch layer group 5 provided on the light-output side of the display substrate. A polarizing film 8 may be provided on a side of the touch layer group 5 remote from the display substrate, and a cover plate 9 may be provided on a side of the polarizing film 8 remote from the display substrate.
[0050] The display substrate can be an OLED (Organic Electroluminescence Display) display substrate, a QLED (Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode) display substrate, and so on. A display substrate has a light-output side and a non-light-output side, with the light-output side and the non-light-output side arranged opposite each other. The image can be displayed on the light-output side, and the surface on which the image is displayed is the display surface. OLED display substrates have characteristics such as self-illumination, high brightness, wide viewing angle, fast response time, and the ability to produce R, G, and B full-color components, making them star products for next-generation displays.
[0051] In the following, OLED is used as an example for explanation.
[0052] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the display substrate may include a driver backplate 2 and a light-emitting element 3. The driver backplate 2 may include a driver circuit that drives the light-emitting element 3 to emit light.
[0053] In this exemplary embodiment, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the driver backplate 2 may include a base substrate 1, and the material of the base substrate 1 may include inorganic materials such as glass, quartz, or metal, etc. The material of the base substrate 1 may also include organic materials. The organic materials may be resin materials such as polyimide, polycarbonate, polyacrylate, polyetherimide, polyethersulfone, polyethylene terephthalate, and polyethylene naphthalate, etc. The base substrate 1 may be composed of a plurality of material layers. For example, the base substrate 1 may include a plurality of base layers, and the material of the base layers may be any of the above-mentioned materials. Of course, the base substrate 1 may also be formed as a single layer composed of any of the above-mentioned materials.
[0054] A light-shielding layer 21 may also be disposed on one side of the base substrate 1. The light emitted from the base substrate 1 into an active layer 23 generates charge carriers in the active layer 23, which has a major impact on the characteristics of the thin-film transistor and ultimately affects the display image quality of the display device. The light-shielding layer 21 can block the light emitted from the base substrate 1, thereby preventing any impact on the characteristics of the thin-film transistor and thus preventing the display image quality of the display device from being affected.
[0055] A buffer layer 22 may also be formed on a side of the light-shielding layer 21 remote from the base substrate 1. The buffer layer 22 plays a role in blocking water vapor and foreign ions in the base substrate 1 (particularly organic materials), and it also plays a role in adding hydrogen ions to the subsequently formed active layer 23. The material of the buffer layer 22 is an insulating material that can insulate and separate the light-shielding layer 21 from the active layer 23.
[0056] An active layer 23 is disposed on a side of the buffer layer 22 remote from the base substrate 1. The active layer 23 may include a channel portion and a conductor disposed at both ends of the channel portion. A gate insulating layer 24 is disposed on a side of the active layer 23 remote from the base substrate 1, and a gate 25 is disposed on one side of the gate insulating layer 24. An interlayer dielectric layer 26 is disposed on a side of the gate 25 remote from the base substrate 1, and a first via hole connected to the conductor is disposed on the interlayer dielectric layer 26. A source 271 and a drain 272 are disposed on a side of the interlayer dielectric layer 26 remote from the base substrate 1, with the source 271 and the drain 272 each connected to two conductors via two corresponding first via holes. On a side of the source 271 orA passivation layer 28 is provided on drain 272, on which a second through-hole is arranged, which is connected to source 271. The active layer 23, gate 25, source 271, and drain 272 form a thin-film transistor.
[0057] It should be noted that the thin-film transistor in the present description is a top-gate type thin-film transistor. In other exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, the thin-film transistor may also be a bottom-gate type thin-film transistor or a double-gate type thin-film transistor, and their specific structures are not explained here. Furthermore, when using thin-film transistors with opposite polarity or when the current direction changes during circuit operation, the functions of "source 271" and "drain 272" are sometimes exchanged with each other. Therefore, "source 271" and "drain 272" may be interchanged in the present disclosure.
[0058] Width with reference to Fig. 3, a light-emitting element 3 is arranged on a side of the passivation layer 28 remote from the base substrate 1. The light-emitting element 3 may include a first electrode 31, a pixel definition layer 32, a group of light-emitting layers 33, and a second electrode 34.
[0059] In particular, a first electrode 31 is provided on a side of the passivation layer 28 remote from the base substrate 1. The first electrode 31 is connected to the source 271 of the driver backplate 2 via the second through-hole 613, and the first electrode 31 may be an anode (pixel electrode).
[0060] On a side of the first electrode 31 remote from the base substrate 1, a pixel definition layer 32 is provided, on which pixel definition layer a third through-hole is arranged, wherein the group of light-emitting layers 33 is provided in the third through-hole. On a side of the group of light-emitting layers 33 remote from the base substrate 1, a second electrode 34 is provided, which may be a cathode (common electrode) and is connected to the ground line VSS. The group of light-emitting layers 33 in a third through-hole emits light to form a subpixel. Therefore, the group of light-emitting layers 33 in a third through-hole is a subpixel, so that a normal projection of the subpixel on the display substrate is exactly the normal projection of the group of light-emitting layers 33 on the display substrate. The display substrate may comprise a plurality of subpixels.
[0061] The group of light-emitting layers 33 may include a hole-injection layer, a hole-transport layer, a light-emitting layer, an electron-transport layer, and an electron-injection layer, which are arranged in a sequentially stacked manner. The hole-injection layer is in contact with the first electrode 31, and the electron-injection layer is in contact with the second electrode 34. Of course, in other exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, the group of light-emitting layers 33 may include only a hole-transport layer, a light-emitting layer, and an electron-transport layer. The group of light-emitting layers 33 may also have other structures, and their specific structure can be adjusted as needed.
[0062] An encapsulation layer group 4 is provided on a side of the second electrode 34 remote from the base substrate 1. The encapsulation layer group 4 can be multilayered and can comprise both organic and inorganic layers. In particular, the encapsulation layer group 4 can comprise a first inorganic layer, an organic layer arranged on a side of the first inorganic layer remote from the base substrate 1, and a second inorganic layer arranged on a side of the organic layer remote from the base substrate 1. The materials of the first inorganic layer, the organic layer, and the second inorganic layer will not be discussed again here. Of course, the encapsulation layer group 4 can also comprise more or fewer layers.
[0063] In this exemplary embodiment, with reference to Fig. 3, a touch layer group 5 is arranged on a side of the encapsulation layer group 4 remote from the base substrate 1. The touch layer group 5 may include a first touch metal layer 51, a touch insulation layer 52, a second touch metal layer 53, and a protection layer 54. The first touch metal layer 51 is arranged on a side of the encapsulation layer group 4 remote from the base substrate 1; the touch insulation layer 52 is arranged on a side of the first touch metal layer 51 remote from the base substrate 1; the second touch metal layer 53 is arranged on a side of the touch insulation layer 52 remote from the base substrate 1, and the protection layer 54 is arranged on a side of the second touch metal layer 53 remote from the base substrate 1.
[0064] The first touch metal layer 51 and the second touch metal layer 53 form a grid-shaped conductive part 6. The grid-shaped conductive part 6 is formed by interlacing a plurality of metal wires, that is, the grid-shaped conductive part 6 includes a plurality of grids, which are a polygon composed of a plurality of grid lines. One grid corresponds to a subpixel, and its normal projection on the base substrate 1 is within a normal projection of a grid on the base substrate 1, thereby preventing the grid lines from blocking the light emitted by the subpixel and thus ensuring the display effect of the display panel.
[0065] The grid-shaped conductive part 6 consists of at least one metal material of aluminum (Al), copper (Cu), silver (Ag), molybdenum (Mo) and alloys thereof.
[0066] With reference to Fig. 4, Fig. 5, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, the grid-shaped conductive part 6 may include a touch sensing electrode 61. The touch sensing electrode 61 may be mutually capacitive. The touch sensing electrode 61 may include a plurality of first touch units 611 and a plurality of second touch units 612. The first touch unit 611 and the second touch unit 612 also include a plurality of grids, which are a polygon composed of a plurality of grid lines. The first touch unit 611 and the second touch unit 612 in the form of metal grids have advantages such as low resistance, small thickness, and fast response speed, among others.
[0067] With reference to Fig. 4, Fig. 5, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, the second touch unit 612 has a line shape extending along the first direction X, and a plurality of second touch units 612 are sequentially arranged along the second direction Y. The first touch unit 611 has a line shape extending along the second direction Y, and a plurality of first touch units 611 are sequentially arranged along the first direction X, wherein the first direction X and the second direction Y intersect. Each first touch unit 611 may include a plurality of first touch electrodes 6111 and a plurality of first connections 6112, wherein the plurality of first touch electrodes 6111 and the plurality of first connections 6112 are sequentially arranged along the second direction Y. The plurality of first touch electrodes 6111 are arranged at a distance from one another, and adjacent first touch electrodes 6111 are connected to each other via a first connection 6112.Each second touch unit 612 may include a plurality of second touch electrodes 6121 and a plurality of second connections 6122, wherein the plurality of second touch electrodes 6121 and the plurality of second connections 6122 are sequentially arranged along the first direction X. The plurality of second touch electrodes 6121 are spaced apart, and adjacent second touch electrodes 6121 are connected to each other via a second connection 6122.
[0068] In some example embodiments, the first touch electrode 6111, the second touch electrode 6121, and the second interconnect 6122 are arranged on the same layer and can be formed through a single patterning process. The second touch electrode 6121 and the second interconnect 6122 are an integrated structure, while the first interconnect 6112 can be arranged on a bridge layer to form a bridge structure. A touch insulation layer 52 is provided between the first interconnect 6112 and the second interconnect 6122.
[0069] For example, with reference to Fig. 11 and Fig. 12, the second touch metal layer 53 may include a first touch electrode 6111, a second touch electrode 6121 (not shown in the figures), and a second interconnection 6122. The second touch electrode 6121 and the second interconnection 6122 are integrally connected within the second touch metal layer 53. Furthermore, there is a gap between the first touch electrode 6111 and the second touch electrode 6121 or the second interconnection 6122, which is achieved by wire breakage in the metal mesh. The first touch metal layer 51 may include a first interconnection 6112 connected to two adjacent first touch electrodes 6111 through a fourth through-hole provided on the touch insulating layer 52, thereby achieving the purpose of integrally connecting a plurality of first touch electrodes 6111 arranged sequentially in the second direction Y.
[0070] The driver backplate 2 needs to connect electrical signals; the first touch electrode 6111, the second touch electrode 6121, and the second connection 6122 also need to connect electrical signals. The first touch electrode 6111, the second touch electrode 6121, and the second connection 6122 are located farther from the driver backplate 2 than the first touch metal layer 51, thereby reducing the interference of electrical signals between the driver backplate 2 and the first touch electrode 6111, the second touch electrode 6121, and the second connection 6122, ensuring the display and touch effects of the display panel.Of course, in some other exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, the first touch metal layer 51 may also include a first touch electrode 6111, a second touch electrode 6121, and a second interconnect 6122, and the second touch metal layer 53 may also include a first interconnect 6112.
[0071] In other exemplary embodiments, the first touch electrode 6111, the first interconnect 6112, and the second touch electrode 6121 are arranged on the same layer and can be formed through a single patterning process. The first touch electrode 6111 and the first interconnect 6112 exhibit an integrated structure, while the second interconnect 6122 can be arranged on a bridge layer to form a bridge structure. An insulating layer is provided between the first interconnect 6112 and the second interconnect 6122.
[0072] For example, the second touch metal layer 53 may include a first touch electrode 6111, a second touch electrode 6121, and a first interconnection 6112. The first touch electrode 6111 and the first interconnection 6112 are integrally connected within the second touch metal layer 53. Furthermore, there is a gap between the second touch electrode 6121 and the first touch electrode 6111 or the first interconnection 6112, which is achieved by wire breakage in the metal grid. The first touch metal layer 51 may include a second interconnection 6122 connected to two adjacent second touch electrodes 6121 through a fourth through-hole provided on the touch insulating layer 52, thereby achieving the purpose of integrally connecting a plurality of second touch electrodes 6121 arranged sequentially in the first direction X.Of course, in some other exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, the first touch metal layer 51 may also include the first touch electrode 6111, the second touch electrode 6121, and the first interconnect 6112, and the second touch metal layer 53 may also include the second interconnect 6122.
[0073] In some example embodiments, the first touch electrode 6111 may be a drive electrode and the second touch electrode 6121 may be an induction electrode. Alternatively, the first touch electrode 6111 may be an induction electrode and the second touch electrode 6121 may be a drive electrode. A plurality of first touch units 611 and a plurality of second touch units 612 form M row drive electrodes * N column induction electrodes, i.e., including M first touch units 611 and N second touch units 612, where M and N are positive integers greater than two.
[0074] In some example embodiments, the first touch electrode 6111 and the second touch electrode 6121 may have a rhombus shape, such as a regular rhombus, a horizontally long rhombus, or a vertically long rhombus. In some possible implementations, the first touch electrode 6111 and the second touch electrode 6121 may have one or more shapes of triangles, squares, trapezoids, parallelograms, pentagons, hexagons, and other polygons, and the present disclosure does not limit this.
[0075] With reference to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, a peripheral touch sensing lead 7 is arranged in the peripheral region ZW, which may include a third peripheral sensing lead 73 and a fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 (for clarity, different leads are distinguished in the figures by different line types).
[0076] A first end of a part of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is connected to one end of the first touch unit 611, respectively, and a second end of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is led out to the bond pin 75 and connected to the bond pin 75. A first end of the other part of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is connected to the corresponding other end of the first touch unit 611, and a second end of the other part of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is led out to the bond pin 75 and connected to the bond pin 75.
[0077] With reference to Fig. 4 and Fig. 6, a first end of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is connected to one end of the second touch unit 612, respectively, and a second end of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is led out to the bond pin 75 and is connected to the bond pin 75. The Fig. 4 and Fig. The wiring method illustrated in Fig. 6 may also be referred to as 2T1R (the first touch unit 611 is the touch driving unit, and the second touch unit 612 is the touch induction unit) or may also be 1T2R (the first touch unit 611 is the touch induction unit, and the second touch unit 612 is the touch driving unit).
[0078] It is understood that the first touch electrodes 6111 are arranged one after the other in the same row in the second direction Y (the long side edge of the display area AA). A row of first touch units 611 includes a relatively large number of first touch electrodes 6111. A touch signal is sequentially transmitted from a first one of the first touch electrodes 6111 coupled to the third peripheral sensing lead 73 in the direction away from the third peripheral sensing lead 73 along a row of first touch electrodes 6111. However, the touch signal may gradually weaken with increasing transmission distance. On this basis, when there are a large number of first touch electrodes 6111, the two ends of the first touch electrode 6111 in the same row are respectively coupled to the third peripheral sensing lead 73, which ensures that a first touch electrode 6111 in the row of first touch electrodes 6111 that is farthest from the third peripheral sensing lead 73 can receive the touch signal.
[0079] With reference to Fig. 5 and Fig. 7, the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is configured in two parts. A first end of one part of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is connected to one end of the second touch unit 612, respectively, and a second end of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is led out to the bond pin 75 and connected to the bond pin 75. A first end of the other part of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is connected to the opposite other end of the second touch unit 612, and a second end of the other part of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is led out to the bond pin 75 and connected to the bond pin 75.
[0080] The Fig. 5 and Fig. The wiring method illustrated in Figure 7 may also be referred to as 2T2R. This wiring method can ensure that, in a series of touch electrode blocks coupled to the touch lead, the touch signals received by the touch electrode blocks farther from the touch lead do not differ significantly from the touch signals received by the touch electrode blocks closer to the touch lead, thereby ensuring the touch accuracy of a relatively large touch screen.
[0081] In some exemplary embodiments, with reference to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, a first end of a portion of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is connected to an end of the first touch unit 611 located near the bonding area BOD. A second end can be directly led out to the bonding pin 75 by passing the third peripheral sensing lead 73 only through a second non-display area FA2. A first end of the other portion of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is connected to an end of the first touch unit 611 located far from the bonding area BOD. This portion of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 must pass through the first non-display area FA1, the fourth non-display area FA4, and the second non-display area FA2 to lead out the second end to the bonding pin 75.
[0082] A first end of a portion of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is connected to one end of the second touch unit 612, respectively, and the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 needs to pass through the third non-display area FA3 and the second non-display area FA2 to lead the second end to the bond pin 75. A first end of the other portion of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is connected to the opposite other end of the second touch unit 612, respectively, and this portion of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 needs to pass through the fourth non-display area FA4 and the second non-display area FA2 to lead the second end to the bond pin 75.
[0083] Touch principle: The second touch electrode 6121 and the first touch electrode 6111 may form a capacitor, and a plurality of first touch electrodes 6111 and a plurality of second touch electrodes 6121 may form a plurality of capacitors (such as C1, C2, C3, etc.). Each capacitor has a different position in the touch sensing electrode 61. In other words, each capacitor is located at a different point in the coordinate system consisting of the first direction X and the second direction Y. The touch drive chip 12 sends a touch drive signal (such as a trigger signal) to the third peripheral sensing lead 73, and the touch drive signal is transmitted to the first touch electrode 6111 via the third peripheral sensing lead 73. Now, there will be an initial capacitance value for each capacitor at the above-mentioned different positions.Due to the fact that the human body is a conductor, the capacitance value of the capacitor at a certain position changes when a person's fingers touch that position on the display panel. Based on the variation in the capacitance value, the second touch electrode 6121 at that position can receive a corresponding touch induction signal (e.g., a reception signal). The touch induction signal of the second touch electrode 6121 at that position is transmitted to the touch driver chip 12 via the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74. The capacitance value of the capacitor at the untouched position remains unchanged. Therefore, by determining the capacitance values at each capacitor, the touch point can be determined, thereby achieving a touch function.
[0084] With reference to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, all peripheral touch sensing leads 7 must be connected to bond pin 75. Therefore, the closer the peripheral touch sensing leads 7 are to the bonding area BOD, the larger the number of peripheral touch sensing leads 7. This results in the need to accommodate more peripheral touch sensing leads 7 in the third non-display area FA3, the fourth non-display area FA4, and the second non-display area FA2 near the bonding area BOD. Due to the narrow frame requirement, more peripheral touch sensing leads 7 cannot be accommodated.
[0085] In order to achieve narrow frames, in this exemplary embodiment, with reference to Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, the areas filled with dots in the figures all represent grid-shaped conductive parts 6 as touch sensing leads 62. The grid-shaped conductive parts 6 may also include touch sensing leads 62 arranged on a side of the touch sensing electrode 61 close to the peripheral region ZW. In particular, the touch sensing leads 62 are located in a part of the peripheral region ZW near the display area AA.
[0086] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 11, the touch sensing lead 62 may be disposed on the second touch metal layer 53, that is, the touch sensing lead 62 may be disposed on the same layer as the first touch electrode 6111, the second touch electrode 6121, and the second interconnect 6122. In this case, there is a first gap 63 between the touch sensing lead 62 and the touch sensing electrode 61. Of course, there is also a first gap 63 between the normal projection of the touch sensing lead 62 onto the base substrate 1 and the normal projection of the touch sensing electrode 61 onto the base substrate 1. Since data lines and scan lines are also disposed on the driver backplate 2 of the peripheral region ZW, the touch sensing lead 62 is farther away from the driver backplate 2 compared to the first touch metal layer 51.This arrangement can reduce the interference of the electrical signals between the driver back plate 2 and the touch detection lead 62, thereby ensuring the display and touch effects of the display panel.
[0087] Of course, in some other exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, reference may be made to Fig. 12, the touch sensing lead 62 may also be disposed on the first touch metal layer 51, that is, the touch sensing lead 62 and the first interconnect 6112 are disposed on the same layer. In this case, a first gap 63 is formed between the normal projection of the touch sensing lead 62 on the base substrate 1 and the normal projection of the touch sensing electrode 61 on the base substrate 1.
[0088] It is understood that the touch sensing lead 62 may also be arranged together with the first touch electrode 6111, the second touch electrode 6121 and the second connection 6122 on the first touch metal layer 51 and may also be arranged together with the first connection 6112 on the second touch metal layer 53.
[0089] With reference to Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, the first gap 63 may include a plurality of line openings 632 that interrupt a plurality of grid lines to form a touch-sensing electrode 61 and a touch-sensing lead 62. That is, on one side of the line opening 632 is the touch-sensing electrode 61, and on the other side of the line opening 632 is the touch-sensing lead 62. The first gap 63 is formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632. The inclination direction of a plurality of line openings 632 is not on the same straight line. Fig. 9, double-headed arrows are used to indicate the inclination direction of line openings 632, so that the contour line of the first gap 63 formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632 may include at least two first curves 631 sequentially connected to each other. For example, the first curve 631 may be formed by connecting the center point of a grid to at least two adjacent line openings 632. Of course, it may also be formed by connecting at least two adjacent line openings 632.
[0090] Furthermore, a normal projection of the line opening 632 on the base substrate 1 and a normal projection of the intersection of the grid lines on the base substrate 1 do not overlap. That is, the line opening 632 is not arranged at the position of the intersection of the grid lines.
[0091] The grid-shaped conductive part 6 and the line opening 632 are both formed by etching the metal layer in a single layer. The intersection position is where a plurality of lines are connected. If the line opening 632 is provided at the intersection of the grid lines, namely, if the grid lines form a line opening 632 at the intersection, the touch sensing lead 62 is likely to have a wire break if the touch sensing lead 62 has only one wire, resulting in a break. When it is necessary to ensure the connection effect, there is a high requirement for etching accuracy, which leads to an increase in costs.By arranging the line opening 632 away from the intersection, the formation of a wire break in the touch sensing lead 62 can be avoided when the touch sensing lead 62 has only one wire, thus ensuring the connection effect of the touch sensing lead 62. Furthermore, there are no high requirements for etching accuracy, which does not lead to an increase in costs. Furthermore, there is no need to make excessive changes to the existing mask templates to achieve the above structure and effect.
[0092] The contour line of the first gap 63 may include at least two first curves 631 that are sequentially connected to each other. At least two first curves 631 have at least two different waveforms. Different waveforms may include triangular waves, semicircular waves, trapezoidal waves, and so on. With reference to Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, both different waveforms may be triangular waves, but the amplitude and period of the triangular wave are not the same. Moreover, the contour line of the first gap 63 may specifically include two first curves 631, of which one first curve 631 may be a triangular wave and the other first curve 631 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour line of the first gap 63 may include a plurality of first curves 631, of which one first curve 631 may be a triangular wave and the other first curves 631 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour lines with different waveforms further enhance the hiding effect. The contour lines of the first gap 63 may also include a plurality of baselines that can be connected between two adjacent first curves 631.
[0093] As in Fig. 10, the first curves of at least two different waveforms are alternately connected to each other to form a first gap. For example, for the convenience of illustration and notation in the figures, the first curves 631 of two different waveforms may be a first partial curve 6311 and a second partial curve 6312. The amplitude and period of the first partial curve 6311 are relatively small, while the amplitude and period of the second partial curve 6312 are relatively large. The first partial curve 6311 and the second partial curve 6312 are alternately arranged and connected to form a first gap. That is, a second partial curve 6312 is present between two adjacent first partial curves 6311, and a first partial curve 6311 is present between two adjacent second partial curves 6312.
[0094] Optionally, the average height h of the first curve 631 is in a range of 30 µm to 90 µm, e.g., 30 µm to 40 µm, 40 µm to 50 µm, 50 µm to 60 µm, 60 µm to 70 µm, 70 µm to 80 µm, or 80 µm to 90 µm. Optionally, the average height h of the plurality of first curves 631 is 60 µm.
[0095] Optionally, the average width W1 of the first sub-curve 6311 (with relatively small amplitude and period) is in a range of 20 µm to 80 µm, e.g., 20 µm to 30 µm, 30 µm to 40 µm, 40 µm to 50 µm, 50 µm to 60 µm, 60 µm to 70 µm, or 70 µm to 80 µm. Optionally, the average width W1 of the first sub-curve is 40 µm.
[0096] Optionally, the average width W2 of the second sub-curve 6312 (with relatively large amplitude and period) is in a range of 60 µm to 240 µm, 60 µm to 70 µm, 70 µm to 80 µm, 80 µm to 90 µm, 90 µm to 100 µm, 100 µm to 110 µm, 110 µm to 120 µm, 120 µm to 130 µm, 130 µm to 140 µm, 140 µm to 150 µm, 150 µm to 160 µm, 160 µm to 170 µm, 170 µm to 180 µm, 180 µm to 190 µm, 190 µm to 200 µm, 200 µm to 210 µm, 210 µm to 220 µm, 220 µm to 230 µm, or 230 µm to 240 µm. Optionally, the average width W2 of the second sub-curve is 120 µm.
[0097] Optionally, the average line width K of the grid lines is in a range of 1 µm to 10 µm, for example, 1 µm to 2 µm, 2 µm to 3 µm, 3 µm to 4 µm, 4 µm to 5 µm, 5 µm to 6 µm, 6 µm to 7 µm, 7 µm to 8 µm, 8 µm to 9 µm, or 9 µm to 10 µm. Optionally, the average line width K of the grid lines is 3 µm. Optionally, the average line width K of the grid lines is 4 µm, 4.5 µm.
[0098] Optionally, the average width K1 of a plurality of line openings 632 is in a range of 2 µm to 12 µm, e.g., 2 µm to 3 µm, 3 µm to 4 µm, 4 µm to 5 µm, 5 µm to 6 µm, 6 µm to 7 µm, 7 µm to 8 µm, 8 µm to 9 µm, 9 µm to 10 µm, 10 µm to 11 µm, or 11 µm to 12 µm. Optionally, the average width K1 of a plurality of line openings 632 is 4.5 µm, 5 µm, 5.2 µm, 5.5 µm.
[0099] Optionally, the average gap width K2 of the first gap 63 is in a range of 2 µm to 12 µm, e.g., 2 µm to 3 µm, 3 µm to 4 µm, 4 µm to 5 µm, 5 µm to 6 µm, 6 µm to 7 µm, 7 µm to 8 µm, 8 µm to 9 µm, 9 µm to 10 µm, 10 µm to 11 µm, or 11 µm to 12 µm. Optionally, the average gap width K2 of the first gap 63 is 4.5 µm, 5 µm, 5.2 µm, 5.5 µm.
[0100] It should be noted that the above values can also be set as different values according to different product requirements.
[0101] In some example embodiments, the touch-sensing lead 62 may include a first touch-sensing lead 621 and / or a second touch-sensing lead 622. That is, the touch-sensing lead 62 may include one of the first touch-sensing lead 621 or the second touch-sensing lead 622, and the touch-sensing lead 62 may include the first touch-sensing lead 621 and the second touch-sensing lead 622. The touch-sensing lead 62 may also include a first shield line 623 disposed directly adjacent to the touch-sensing electrode 61. A first gap 63 is formed between the first shield line 623 and the touch-sensing electrode 61, isolating the first shield line 623 from the touch-sensing electrode 61. The specific structure of the first slit 63 is explained in detail above, so it will not be repeated here.
[0102] There is a second gap 64 between the first shield line 623 and the first touch sensing lead line 621 or the second touch sensing lead line 622, which isolates the first shield line 623 from the first touch sensing lead line 621 or the second touch sensing lead line 622. The contour line of the second gap 64 may include at least two second curves 641 that are sequentially connected to each other. At least two second curves 641 have at least two different waveforms. Different waveforms may include triangular waves, semicircular waves, trapezoidal waves, and so on. With reference to Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, both different waveforms may be triangular waves, but the amplitude and period of the triangular wave are not the same. Moreover, the contour line of the second gap 64 may specifically include two second curves 641, of which one second curve 641 may be a triangular wave and the other second curve 641 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour line of the second gap 64 may include a plurality of second curves 641, of which one second curve 641 may be a triangular wave and the other second curves 641 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour lines with different waveforms further enhance the hiding effect. The contour lines of the second gap 64 may also include a plurality of baselines that can be connected between two adjacent second curves 641.
[0103] The second gap 64 may include a plurality of line openings 632 interrupting a plurality of grid lines to form a first touch sensing lead line 621 or a second touch sensing lead line 622 and a first shield line 623. That is, on one side of the line opening 632 is the first touch sensing lead line 621 or the second touch sensing lead line 622, and on the other side of the line opening 632 is the first shield line 623. The second gap 64 is formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632. The inclination direction of a plurality of line openings 632 is not on the same straight line, so the contour line of the second gap 64 formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632 may include at least two second curves 641 sequentially connected to each other.
[0104] In addition, a normal projection of the line opening 632 on the base substrate 1 and a normal projection of the intersection of the grid lines on the base substrate 1 do not overlap. That is, the line opening 632 is not located at the intersection position of the grid lines. The grid-shaped conductive part 6 and the line opening 632 are both formed by etching the metal layer in the form of a whole layer. The intersection position is where a plurality of grid lines are connected, that is, the part where at least two grid lines are cross-connected forms the intersection. If the line opening 632 is provided at the intersection of the grid lines, the touch detection lead 62 may easily form a wire break if the touch detection lead 62 has only one wire, resulting in a disconnection. In addition, there is a high requirement for etching accuracy, which leads to an increase in cost.By setting the line opening 632 away from the intersection, the formation of a wire break in the touch detection lead 62 can be avoided when the touch detection lead 62 has only one wire, thus ensuring the connection effect of the touch detection lead 62. Furthermore, there is no high requirement for etching accuracy, which does not lead to an increase in cost. Furthermore, there is no need to make excessive changes to the existing mask templates to achieve the above structure and effect.
[0105] Furthermore, the first gap 63 and the second gap 64 are parallel to each other, so that the width of the first shield line 623 formed between the first gap 63 and the second gap 64 is uniform and does not fluctuate, so that a uniform resistance is present at all points of the first shield line 623.
[0106] In some example embodiments, the touch sensing lead 62 may include a first touch sensing lead 621 and a second touch sensing lead 622, and in the case that the first touch sensing lead 621 is arranged adjacent to the second touch sensing lead 622, the touch sensing lead 62 may also include a second shield line 624. The second shield line 624 is arranged between the first touch sensing lead 621 and the second touch sensing lead 622, i.e., the second shield line 624 is arranged between the first touch sensing lead 621 and the second touch sensing lead 622 indirectly adjacent thereto. A third gap 65 is formed between the second shield line 624 and the first touch sensing lead 621 orthe second touch sensing lead line 622, that is, there is a third gap 65 between the second shield line 624 and the first touch sensing lead line 621, and there is also a third gap 65 between the second shield line 624 and the second touch sensing lead line 622. The third gap 65 causes insulation between the second shield line 624 and the first touch sensing lead line 621 and the second touch sensing lead line 622, respectively.
[0107] The contour line of the third gap 65 includes at least two third curves 651 that are sequentially connected to each other. At least two third curves 651 have at least two different waveforms. Different waveforms may include triangular waves, semicircular waves, trapezoidal waves, and so on. With reference to Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, both different waveforms may be triangular waves, but the amplitude and period of the triangular wave are not the same. Moreover, the contour line of the third gap 65 may specifically include two third curves 651, of which one third curve 651 may be a triangular wave and the other third curve 651 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour line of the third gap 65 may include a plurality of third curves 651, of which one third curve 651 may be a triangular wave and the other third curves 651 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour lines with different waveforms further enhance the hiding effect. The contour lines of the third gap 65 may also include a plurality of baselines that can be connected between two adjacent third curves 651.
[0108] The third gap 65 may include a plurality of line openings 632 interrupting a plurality of grid lines to form a second shield line 624, a first touch sensing lead line 621, and a second touch sensing lead line 622. That is, on one side of the line opening 632 is the first touch sensing lead line 621 or the second touch sensing lead line 622, and on the other side of the line opening 632 is the second shield line 624. The third gap 65 is formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632. The inclination direction of a plurality of line openings 632 is not on the same straight line, so the contour line of the third gap 65 formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632 may include at least two third curves 651 sequentially connected to each other.
[0109] Furthermore, a normal projection of the line opening 632 on the base substrate 1 and a normal projection of the intersection of the grid lines on the base substrate 1 do not overlap. That is, the line opening 632 is not located at the position of the intersection of the grid lines. The grid-shaped conductive part 6 and the line opening 632 are both formed by etching the metal layer in the form of a whole layer. The position of the intersection is where a plurality of lines are connected. If the line opening 632 is provided at the intersection of the grid lines, the touch sensing lead 62 may easily form a wire break if the touch sensing lead 62 has only one wire, resulting in a breakage. In addition, there is a high requirement for etching accuracy, which leads to an increase in costs.By setting the line opening 632 away from the intersection, the formation of a wire break in the touch detection lead 62 can be avoided when the touch detection lead 62 has only one wire, thereby ensuring the connection effect of the touch detection lead 62. Furthermore, there is no high requirement for etching accuracy, which does not lead to an increase in costs. Furthermore, there is no need to make excessive changes to the existing mask templates to achieve the above structure and effect.
[0110] The first touch-sensing lead 621 may be provided in a plurality, and a fourth gap 66 is provided between two adjacent first touch-sensing leads 621, isolating the two adjacent first touch-sensing leads 621 from each other. The second touch-sensing lead 622 may be provided in a plurality, and a fifth gap 67 is provided between two adjacent second touch-sensing leads 622, isolating the two adjacent second touch-sensing leads 622 from each other.
[0111] The contour line of the fourth gap 66 may include at least two fourth curves 661 that are sequentially connected to one another. At least two fourth curves 661 have at least two different waveforms. The contour line of the fifth gap 67 may include at least two fifth curves 671 that are sequentially connected to one another. At least two fifth curves 671 have at least two different waveforms.
[0112] Different waveforms can include triangular waves, semicircular waves, trapezoidal waves, and so on. With reference to Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, both different waveforms may be triangular waves, but the amplitude and period of the triangular wave are not the same. Moreover, the contour line of the fourth gap 66 may specifically include two fourth curves 661, of which one fourth curve 661 may be a triangular wave and the other fourth curve 661 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour line of the fourth gap 66 may include a plurality of fourth curves 661, of which one fourth curve 661 may be a triangular wave and the other fourth curves 661 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour lines with different waveforms further enhance the hiding effect. The contour lines of the fourth gap 66 may also include a plurality of baselines that can be connected between two adjacent fourth curves 661.The contour line of the fifth gap 67 may include two fifth curves 671, of which one fifth curve 671 may be a triangular wave and the other fifth curve 671 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour line of the fifth gap 67 may include a plurality of fifth curves 671, of which one fifth curve 671 may be a triangular wave and the other fifth curves 671 may be a trapezoidal wave. The contour lines with different wave shapes further enhance the hiding effect. The contour lines of the fifth gap 67 may also include a plurality of baselines that can be connected between two adjacent fifth curves 671.
[0113] The fourth gap 66 and the fifth gap 67 may each include a plurality of line openings 632 that interrupt a plurality of grid lines to form a first touch sensing lead line 621 and a second touch sensing lead line 622. That is, on one side of the line opening 632 is the first touch sensing lead line 621 or the second touch sensing lead line 622, and on the other side of the line opening 632 is the first touch sensing lead line 621 or the second touch sensing lead line 622. The fourth gap 66 and the fifth gap 67 are formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632.The inclination direction of a plurality of line openings 632 is not on the same straight line, so that the contour line of the fourth gap 66 formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632 may include at least two fourth curves 661 sequentially connected to each other, and the contour line of the fifth gap 67 formed by connecting a plurality of line openings 632 may include at least two fifth curves 671 sequentially connected to each other.
[0114] Furthermore, a normal projection of the line opening 632 on the base substrate 1 and a normal projection of the intersection of the grid lines on the base substrate 1 do not overlap. That is, the line opening 632 is not located at the position of the intersection of the grid lines. The grid-shaped conductive part 6 and the line opening 632 are both formed by etching the metal layer in the form of a whole layer. The position of the intersection is where a plurality of lines are connected. If the line opening 632 is provided at the intersection of the grid lines, the first touch sensing lead line 621 and the second touch sensing lead line 622, respectively, may easily form a wire break if the first touch sensing lead line 621 and the second touch sensing lead line 622 have only one wire, resulting in a breakage. In addition, there is a high requirement for etching accuracy, which leads to an increase in costs. On the other hand, by setting the line opening 632 away from the intersection, the formation of a wire break in the first touch detection lead line 621 and the second touch detection lead line 622 can be avoided when the first touch detection lead line 621 and the second touch detection lead line 622 have only one wire, thereby ensuring the connection effect of the first touch detection lead line 621 and the second touch detection lead line 622. Furthermore, there is no high requirement for etching accuracy, which does not lead to an increase in cost. Furthermore, there is no need to make excessive changes to the existing mask templates to achieve the above structure and effect.
[0115] The second gap 64 and the third gap 65 are parallel to each other. The fourth gap 66 and the fifth gap 67 are parallel to the third gap 65. Therefore, the width of the first touch sensing lead 621 and the second touch sensing lead 622 formed between the third gap 65 and the second gap 64 is uniform and does not fluctuate, so that a uniform resistance is present at all points of the first touch sensing lead 621 and the second touch sensing lead 622. The width of the first touch sensing lead 621 formed between the third gap 65 and the fourth gap 66 and between two fourth gaps 66 is uniform and does not fluctuate, so that a uniform resistance is present at all points of the first touch sensing lead 621. The width of the second touch sensing lead 622 formed between the third gap 65 and the fifth gap 67 andformed between two fifth columns 67 is uniform and does not fluctuate, so that a uniform resistance is present at all points of the second touch sensing lead 622.
[0116] It should be noted that different waveforms not only refer to different wave shapes, but can also be waves of the same shape with different amplitudes and / or periods. Furthermore, the first curve, the second curve, the third curve, the fourth curve, and the fifth curve can be formed not only by connecting arcs, but also by connecting straight lines, and even by connecting straight lines and arcs.
[0117] As in Fig. 6, Fig. 7 and Fig. As shown in Figure 13, the display panel may further include a peripheral touch sensing lead 7 disposed in the peripheral region ZW. A portion of the peripheral touch sensing lead 7 is formed in some regions as a single-layer structure 7a.
[0118] In particular, the peripheral touch sensing lead 7 may include a third peripheral sensing lead 73 and a fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 and a first peripheral sensing lead 71 or a second peripheral sensing lead 72. The peripheral touch sensing lead 7 may also include a third peripheral sensing lead 73, a fourth peripheral sensing lead 74, a first peripheral sensing lead 71 and a second peripheral sensing lead 72.
[0119] The first peripheral sensing lead 71 is connected to the first touch sensing lead 621, and the second peripheral sensing lead 72 is connected to the second touch sensing lead 622. The first peripheral sensing lead 71 is formed as a double-layer structure, that is, the first layer of the first peripheral sensing lead 71 is disposed in the first touch metal layer 51, the second layer of the first peripheral sensing lead 71 is disposed in the second touch metal layer 53, and the first layer and the second layer are integrally connected through a via hole disposed on the touch insulating layer 52.The second peripheral sensing lead 72 is formed as a double-layer structure, that is, the third layer of the second peripheral sensing lead 72 is disposed in the first touch metal layer 51, and the third layer of the second peripheral sensing lead 72 is disposed in the second touch metal layer 53. Furthermore, the third layer and the fourth layer are integrally connected through a via hole disposed on the touch insulating layer 52.
[0120] The first touch sensing lead 621 and the second touch sensing lead 622 are both formed as a single-layer structure 7a, that is, the first touch sensing lead 621 and the second touch sensing lead 622 can be disposed in either the first touch metal layer 51 or the second touch metal layer 53. Furthermore, both the width of the first touch sensing lead 621 and the width of the second touch sensing lead 622 are narrower than the width of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 and the width of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74.
[0121] The first touch detection lead 621 is connected to the first peripheral detection lead 71 to form a driver detection lead or induction detection lead. The second peripheral detection lead 72 is connected to the second touch detection lead 622 to also form a driver detection lead or induction detection lead. For the above reasons, the resistance of the formed driver detection lead or induction detection lead is relatively high. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 14, R0 to R9 in the figure represent the resistance of the touch lead formed by connecting the first touch sensing lead 621 to the first peripheral sensing lead 71 or by connecting the second peripheral sensing lead 72 to the second touch sensing lead 622. R10 to R36 represent the resistance of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 or the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74. It can be seen from the figure that the resistance of R9 and R10 differs significantly, and thus a jump occurs, affecting the touch performance and resulting in differences in the capacitance values of different channels and uneven capacitance values.
[0122] In order to solve the above problem, a part of the peripheral touch sensing lead 7 is formed in regions as a single-layer structure 7a, as shown in Fig. 12 shown.
[0123] Specifically, a portion of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 connected to the touch sensing electrode 61 is formed as a single-layer structure 7a, and a portion of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 connected to the touch sensing electrode 61 is formed as a single-layer structure 7a. Thus, the resistance of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 and the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is increased.
[0124] The sum of the resistance of the first peripheral sensing lead 71 and the resistance of the first touch sensing lead 621 may be equal to the resistance of the third peripheral sensing lead 73. However, there is always a certain error during the preparation process. Therefore, the difference between the sum of the resistance of the first peripheral sensing lead 71 and the resistance of the first touch sensing lead 621 and the resistance of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 may be less than or equal to 10% of the resistance of the third peripheral sensing lead 73. For example, the difference may be less than or equal to 8%, 7%, 5.5%, 3%, 2%, 1%, etc. of the resistance of the third peripheral sensing lead 73.The first peripheral sensing lead 71 and the third peripheral sensing lead 73 are connected to different touch electrodes of the same touch unit; for example, they can be connected simultaneously to the first touch unit 611 or the second touch unit 612. When connected to the touch driver unit, the first peripheral sensing lead 71 and the third peripheral sensing lead 73 are touch driver leads. When connected to the touch induction unit, the first peripheral sensing lead 71 and the third peripheral sensing lead 73 are touch induction leads.
[0125] The sum of the resistance of the second peripheral sensing lead 72 and the resistance of the second touch sensing lead 622 may be equal to the resistance of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74. However, there is always a certain error during the preparation process. Therefore, the difference between the sum of the resistance of the second peripheral sensing lead 72 and the resistance of the second touch sensing lead 622 and the resistance of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 may be less than or equal to 10% of the resistance of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74. For example, the difference may be less than or equal to 8%, 7%, 5.5%, 3%, 2%, 1%, etc. of the resistance of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74.The second peripheral sensing lead 72 and the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 are connected to different touch electrodes of the same touch unit; for example, they can be connected simultaneously to the first touch unit 611 or the second touch unit 612. When connected to the touch driver unit, the second peripheral sensing lead 72 and the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 are touch driver leads. When connected to the touch induction unit, the second peripheral sensing lead 72 and the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 are touch induction leads.
[0126] The farther away from the display area AA, the longer the line and the greater the resistance. Therefore, the length of the single-layer structure 7a of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is designed to decrease with increasing distance from the display area AA in the first direction X; and the length of the single-layer structure 7a of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is designed to decrease with increasing distance from the display area AA in the first direction X. In this way, the resistance of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 and the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 on the outside can be reduced, so that the resistance of all the third peripheral sensing leads 73 and the fourth peripheral sensing leads 74 tends to be the same, ensuring a uniform touch effect.
[0127] Furthermore, an initial position of the single-layer structure 7a of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 may be on the same straight line as an initial position of the first touch sensing lead 621, and this straight line runs parallel to an edge of the display area AA near a bonding area BOD. An initial position of the single-layer structure 7a of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 may be on the same straight line as an initial position of the second touch sensing lead 622, and this straight line runs parallel to an edge of the display area AA near a bonding area BOD. In this way, the calculation and design of the resistance of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 and the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is facilitated.
[0128] An end position of the single-layer structure 7a of the third peripheral detection lead 73 and an end position of the single-layer structure 7a of the fourth peripheral detection lead 74 can be set according to the desired resistance value.
[0129] It should be noted that in this description, neither parallel nor perpendicular means exactly parallel and perpendicular, but rather has a specific range. For example, if two lines are parallel, the angle between them can be less than or equal to 10°, and if two lines are perpendicular, the angle between them can be between 85° and 95°.
[0130] Furthermore, the resistance value can be adjusted by adjusting the width of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 and the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74. Specifically, a part of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is formed as a double-layer structure, that is, a first layer 731 of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is disposed in the first touch metal layer 51, and a second layer 732 of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 is disposed in the second touch metal layer 53. Furthermore, the first layer 731 and the second layer 732 are integrally connected by an eighth via 733 disposed on the touch insulating layer 52, and the width K6 of the second layer 732 is smaller than the width K5 of the first layer 731.Of course, it may also be that the width of a part of the wide layer 732 is smaller than the width of the first layer 731, or it may be that the width of the first layer 731 is smaller than the width of the second layer 732.
[0131] The width of at least a part of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 may also be designed to be equal to or smaller than the width of the touch sensing lead 62. For example, the width of at least a part of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 may also be designed to be equal to or smaller than the width of the first touch sensing lead 621. Since the main function is to adjust the resistance, the width of the first touch sensing lead 621 refers to the sum of the widths of the grid lines in its width direction of the first touch sensing lead 621. Of course, the width of the third peripheral sensing lead 73 may also be larger than the width of the touch sensing lead 62. In this case, the resistance can be adjusted by the length of the above-mentioned single-layer structure.
[0132] A part of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is formed as a double-layer structure, that is, a third layer 741 of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is disposed in the first touch metal layer 51, and a fourth layer 742 of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 is disposed in the second touch metal layer 53. Furthermore, the third layer 741 and the fourth layer 742 are integrally connected by a ninth via 743 disposed on the touch insulating layer 52, and the width K8 of the fourth layer 742 is smaller than the width K7 of the third layer 741. Of course, the width of a part of the fourth layer 742 may be smaller than the width of the third layer 741, or the width of the third layer 741 may be smaller than the width of the fourth layer 742.
[0133] The width of at least a part of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 may also be designed to be equal to or smaller than the width of the touch sensing lead 62. For example, the width of at least a part of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 may also be designed to be equal to or smaller than the width of the second touch sensing lead 622. Since the main function is to adjust the resistance, the width of the second touch sensing lead 622 refers to the sum of the widths of the grid lines in its width direction of the first touch sensing lead 621. Of course, the width of the fourth peripheral sensing lead 74 may also be larger than the width of the touch sensing lead 62. In this case, the resistance can be adjusted by the length of the above-mentioned single-layer structure.
[0134] In some exemplary embodiments, the display panel may be a flexible display panel with curved surfaces on all four sides, as in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7. Therefore, the display panel has a bend line L1 located within the display area AA. The portion of the display panel outside the bend line L1 can be bent to form a curved surface. The touch sensing lead 62 is located on a side of the bend line L1 close to the peripheral area ZB.
[0135] Since a touch sensing electrode 61 is no longer provided at the position where a touch sensing lead 62 is arranged, the touch function cannot be achieved at the position where a touch sensing lead 62 is arranged. By providing the touch sensing lead 62 on a side of the bending line L1 close to the peripheral region ZB, it can be ensured that the display panel has a touch function in the flat region. Of course, a part of the touch sensing lead 62 can also be provided on a side of the bending line L1 far from the peripheral region ZB.
[0136] In other exemplary embodiments, a notch is provided at an edge of the touch sensing electrode 61, and a camera may be provided on a side of the display panel remote from the display surface. The light-collecting surface of the camera is located near the display panel, and the notch may be arranged opposite the camera. By disposing the notch, the influence of the metal mesh on the light-collecting of the camera can be avoided. The touch sensing lead 62 may be located on a side of the notch remote from the peripheral region ZW, that is, the touch sensing lead 62 may be provided on the side of the edge of the notch remote from the peripheral region ZW.
[0137] In some exemplary embodiments, as in Fig. 15, a rounded chamfer R is arranged at the corner of the display panel. A first edge line B1 and a second edge line B2 are smoothly connected at both ends of the rounded chamfer R, respectively. The rounded chamfer R can be connected to the first edge line B1 and the second edge line B2 by a plurality of arcs and straight lines to form a smooth connection structure. The first edge line B1 extends along the first direction X, and the second edge line B2 extends along the second direction Y, and the first direction X intersects with the second direction Y, for example, the first direction X is perpendicular to the second direction Y. The rounded chamfer R is located on a side of the first extension line B11 of the first edge line B1 near the display area, and on a side of the second extension line B21 of the second edge line B2 near the display area. There is a non-zero distance between the rounded chamfer R and the first extension line B11 of the first edge line B1, and there is also a non-zero distance between the rounded chamfer R and the second extension line B21 of the second edge line B2; thus, the rounded chamfer R forms an inwardly drawn structure with respect to the first edge line B1 and the second edge line B2. This display panel can be suitably used for a structure in which all four side edges are bent to form a curved surface.
[0138] The starting position of the touch detection lead line 62 may be on a side of the rounded chamfer R remote from the second extension line B21. The end position of the touch detection lead line 62 may be on a side of the rounded chamfer R close to the second extension line B21. Specifically, the end position of the touch detection lead line 62 is flush with the end of the second edge line B2 close to the rounded chamfer R in the second direction Y, so that the touch detection leads 62 on the rounded chamfer R of the display panel are all provided in the display area AA.
[0139] In some exemplary embodiments, as in Fig. 16 to Fig. 20, the display panel may be equipped with a sub-image camera, and a through-hole 613 may be provided on the touch sensing electrode 61; therefore, a light-transmitting display region is present in the through-hole 613. A camera may be provided on a side of the display panel remote from the display surface. The light-collecting surface of the camera is close to the display panel, and the through-hole 613 may be arranged opposite the camera. By disposing the through-hole 613, the influence of the metal mesh on the light-collecting of the camera can be avoided. The normal projection area of the through-hole 613 on the base substrate 1 is larger than the normal projection area of the mesh on the base substrate 1. The normal projection area of the through-hole 613 on the base substrate 1 may be several times the normal projection area of the mesh on the base substrate 1.The area of the normal projection of through hole 613 on the base substrate 1 is greater than or equal to the area of the light collecting surface of the camera.
[0140] The through-hole 613 passes through the first touch unit 611 and the second touch unit 612, and the normal projection of the through-hole 613 on the base substrate 1 does not overlap with the normal projection of the first connection 6112 on the base substrate 1 and the normal projection of the second connection 6122 on the base substrate 1, that is, the through-hole 613 does not pass through the first connection 6112 and the second connection 6122.
[0141] When etching the touch sensing electrode 61 to form a through-hole 613, due to the etching accuracy, the grid lines of the touch sensing electrode 61 around the through-hole 613 are inevitably etched, resulting in the grid lines of the touch sensing electrode 61 around the through-hole 613 being too thin and prone to breakage. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 17, the width of the grid lines of the touch sensing electrode 61 in the area adjacent to the through-hole 613 is designed to be wider than the remaining grid lines. Even when the grid lines of the touch sensing electrode 61 are etched around the through-hole 613, the width of the grid lines of the touch sensing electrode 61 adjacent to the through-hole 613 is greater than or equal to the width of the remaining grid lines in the final product. The width S of this area is greater than or equal to 0.5 mm and less than or equal to 1 mm.
[0142] In other exemplary embodiments and as in Fig. As shown in FIG. 18, the first interconnection 6112 is for connecting two adjacent first touch electrodes 6111, and the second interconnection 6122 is for connecting two adjacent second touch electrodes 6121. Moreover, the width of the first interconnection 6112 and the second interconnection 6122 is already formed small, that is, the number of grids included in the first interconnection 6112 and the second interconnection 6122 is relatively small. Therefore, the first interconnection 6112 and the second interconnection 6122 are more likely to be interrupted by etching during the etching to form the through-hole 613; and the interruption of the first interconnection 6112 and the second interconnection 6122 results in the corresponding first touch unit 611 and the second touch unit 612 being unable to perform the touch function.
[0143] The width of the grid lines of the first connection 6112 adjacent to the through-hole 613 can be designed to be larger than the width of the remaining grid lines. The width of the grid lines of the second connection 6122 adjacent to the through-hole 613 can be designed to be larger than the width of the remaining grid lines.Even if the grid lines of the first connection 6112 adjacent to the through-hole 613 and the grid lines of the second connection 6122 are etched, in the final product, the width of the grid lines of the first connection 6112 adjacent to the through-hole 613 is greater than or equal to the width of the remaining grid lines, and the width of the grid lines of the second connection 6122 adjacent to the through-hole 613 is greater than or equal to the width of the remaining grid lines, so that the first connection 6112 and the second connection 6122 are prevented from being interrupted by etching, thereby ensuring the touch function of the touch sensing electrode 61.
[0144] In some exemplary embodiments, as in Fig. 19 and Fig. 20, the touch sensing electrode 61 may further include a first connection line 614 and a second connection line 615. In this exemplary embodiment, two first touch electrodes 6111 and two second touch electrodes 6121 are formed at the side edges of the through-hole; therefore, two first connection lines 614 and two second connection lines 615 are provided. Here, one of the first connection lines 614 is provided at the side edge of the through-hole 613 and is connected to a first touch electrode 6111; one of the second connection lines 615 is provided at the side edge of the through-hole 613 and is connected to a second touch electrode 6121.In other exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, the number of the first connection line 614 and the second connection line 615 may be determined according to the connected first touch electrodes 6111 and second touch electrodes 6121.
[0145] With reference to Fig. 19, the side edge of the through-hole 613 may be provided at the intersection of the grid lines. After the through-hole 613 is formed by etching, the first connection line 614 and the second connection line 615 are then formed on the side edges of the through-hole 613. The width of the first connection line 614 may be designed to be larger than the width of the grid lines of the first touch unit 611. The width of the second connection line 615 may be designed to be larger than the width of the grid lines of the second touch unit 612.Even when the first connection line 614 and the second connection line 615 are etched, in the final product, the width of the first connection line 614 is greater than or equal to the width of the grid lines of the first touch unit 611, and the width of the second connection line 615 is greater than or equal to the width of the grid lines of the second touch unit 612, so that the first connection line 614 and the second connection line 615 are prevented from being interrupted, thereby ensuring the touch function of the touch sensing electrode 61. Furthermore, a floating defect of the touch sensing electrode 61 at the side edges of the through-hole 613 can also be avoided.
[0146] With reference to Fig.20, the side edge of the through-hole 613 can be provided on the grid lines. After the through-hole 613 is formed by etching, a plurality of interrupted free ends of the grid lines are then formed at the side edges of the through-hole 613. By designing the first connection line 614 and the second connection line 615, a plurality of interrupted free ends of the grid lines of the corresponding touch electrodes can be connected into a unit. This prevents a floating defect of the touch sensing electrode 61 at the side edges of the through-hole 613.
[0147] Similarly, the width of the first connection line 614 may be designed to be larger than the width of the grid lines of the first touch unit 611. The width of the second connection line 615 may be designed to be larger than the width of the grid lines of the second touch unit 612. Even if the first connection line 614 and the second connection line 615 are etched, in the final product, the width of the first connection line 614 is greater than or equal to the width of the grid lines of the first touch unit 611, and the width of the second connection line 615 is greater than or equal to the width of the grid lines of the second touch unit 612, so that the first connection line 614 and the second connection line 615 are prevented from being interrupted, thereby ensuring the touch function of the touch sensing electrode 61.
