Abstract

The deterioration of working properties is suppressed. In a tilting mechanism 60 of a circular saw 10, a front tilting mechanism section 70 is configured with a front tilting plate 72 coupled to a circular saw body 20 and a front guide 71 that guides the rotation of the front tilting plate 72, and a rear tilting mechanism section 80 is configured with a rear tilting plate 82 coupled to the circular saw body 20 and a rear guide 81 that guides the rotation of the rear tilting plate 82. When the circular saw body 20 is tilted (rotated) from the upright position to the tilted position, the circular saw body 20 as a whole is moved away from the base 12 along the side surface of the circular saw blade 14 by the front guide 71 and the rear guide 81.Therefore, even if the circular saw body 20 is tilted from the upright position, the spacer element 16, which couples the circular saw blade 14 to the output shaft 44, can be prevented from shifting downward.

Description

Technical area

[0001] The present invention relates to a work machine. General state of the art

[0002] In a portable cutting machine (work machine) of Patent Document 1 below, a base body including a circular saw blade is rotatably supported on a base by a tilting mechanism about a coupling member (a rotation axis extending in the front-back direction). Thus, through operation by a worker, the base body can be tilted relative to the base to change the angle of a cutting surface of a workpiece. Patent Document 2 below discloses a work machine including a member (guide rail) that assists linear cutting. The work machine of Patent Document 2, like the work machine of Patent Document 1, has a tilting mechanism, but does not have a mechanically configured rotation axis, but has a virtual rotation axis (tilt axis V).The reason why the tilt axis V of Patent Document 2 is virtual is that, to enable cutting, the tilt axis must be fixed to a guide rail below a base surface. In the work machine of Patent Document 2, the working characteristics are improved by adjusting the position of the virtual tilt axis to the end portion of the guide rail. Prior art documentsPatent documents Patent Document 1: WO 2017 / 187894 Patent Document 2: JP 2017-196853 A Brief description of the inventionTask of the invention

[0003] When the base body is tilted, a spacer element shifts downward depending on the position of the center axis of rotation. This spacer element serves as a holding element for holding the circular saw blade to the base body. To prevent interference between the workpiece, etc., and the spacer element during tilting, the spacer element must be positioned upwards from the workpiece to a certain extent when the base body is not tilted (at a right angle). However, in this case, the cutting depth into the workpiece is reduced in the non-tilted state, which may degrade the working performance of the portable cutting machine.

[0004] On the other hand, by setting the center of rotation when tilting the body to the left as viewed from the front with respect to the circular saw blade, since the spacer element shifts upward during the tilting of the body, the interference between the workpiece, etc., and the spacer element when tilting the body can be eliminated. However, even in this case, the cutting depth into the workpiece is reduced, so there is a possibility that the working performance of the portable cutting machine will deteriorate. Depending on the working machine, it is also designed to be tiltable in the opposite direction. In this case, a design is obtained in which the spacer element is shifted downward in the tilted state, while in the reverse tilted state the spacer element is shifted upward. Consequently, the cutting depth is reduced during the reverse tilting.Another issue is that if relative movement of the base and the main body is required during tilting, their shape must be such that the base and the main body do not hinder this relative movement. For example, in working machines, the working performance is sometimes improved by additional functions such as a lighting device, a blower device, or the like. However, if these additional functions are to be arranged in an effective location, this arrangement becomes an obstacle to the tilting (relative movement) or the mechanical structure of the tilting mechanism, so they must necessarily be arranged in a less effective location. As a result, the working performance deteriorates.Another problem is that in the case of a configuration in which tilting is carried out by actuating a guide shaft inside a guide groove as in Cited Document 1, excessive contact between the guide groove and the guide shaft makes it difficult to tilt smoothly, so that the working properties deteriorate.

Embodiment of the invention

[0022] With reference to the figures, a circular saw 10 will be described below as a working machine of the present embodiment. The arrows TOP, FRONT, and REAR shown in the figures for convenience indicate a top side, a front side, and a right side of the circular saw 10, respectively. In the following description, references to an up-down direction, a front-back direction, and a left-right direction refer to the up-down direction, the front-back direction, and the left-right direction of the circular saw 10, unless otherwise stated.

[0023] As in Fig. 1 and Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the circular saw 10 is designed as an electrically driven tool for cutting a workpiece. The circular saw 10 is configured with a base 12 and a circular saw body 20 serving as a base section. Furthermore, the circular saw 10 has a tilting mechanism 60 that tiltably couples the circular saw body 20 to the base 12. The individual design elements of the circular saw 10 are described below.

[0024] (Base 12) As in Fig. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, the base 12 is formed in a substantially rectangular plate shape made of metal, the plate thickness direction of which is the up-down direction and the longitudinal direction of which is the front-back direction. During cutting with the circular saw 10, the base 12 is placed on the workpiece and the base 12 is moved forward. A through-hole portion 12A for disposing a circular saw blade 14 is formed at the right portion of the base 12. The through-hole portion 12A is formed in a substantially rectangular shape, the longitudinal direction of which is the front-back direction, and is a through-hole with a width in the up-down direction. The circular saw blade 14 is formed substantially in the shape of a round plate whose plate thickness direction is the left-right direction, and a central portion of the circular saw blade 14 is integrally rotatably fixed to an output shaft 44 of a drive mechanism 40 described below. A portion of the circular saw blade 14 is disposed within the through-passage portion 12A, an upper portion of the circular saw blade 14 projects upward from the base 12, and a lower end portion of the circular saw blade 14 projects downward from the base 12 (a base bottom surface 12C). An engagement portion 12B is provided on the base 12, which is intended for a guide rail as shown in the patent document. The circular saw 10 is designed for use with a guide rail.

[0025] (Circular saw body 20) As in Fig. 1 to 3, the circular saw body 20 is configured with a housing 22, a battery 32 and the drive mechanism 40.

[0026] (Housing 22) The housing 22 is formed by a plurality of housing elements, forms the outer contour of the circular saw body 20, and is arranged on top of the base 12. The housing 22 is configured with a saw cover 24 covering the circular saw blade 14, a motor housing 26 housing the drive mechanism 40 described below, and a battery holder 28 to which the battery 32 is attached.

[0027] The saw cover 24 forms the right end portion of the housing 22. The saw cover 24 is formed essentially in the shape of a semicircular plate whose thickness direction is the left-right direction, bulging upward and forming an open recess downward. The upper portion of the circular saw blade 14 is accommodated in the saw cover 24 and covered by the saw cover 24.

[0028] The saw cover 24 is coupled to the base 12 by a cutting depth adjustment mechanism 30 via the tilting mechanism 60 described below. Specifically, a front end portion of the saw cover 24 is coupled to the front end portion of the tilting mechanism 60 by a front coupling mechanism 30A on the cutting depth adjustment mechanism 30, and a rear end portion of the saw cover 24 is coupled to the rear end portion of the tilting mechanism 60 via a rear coupling mechanism 30B of the cutting depth adjustment mechanism 30. In this way, the circular saw main body 20 is coupled to the base 12. A cover coupling portion 24A is provided on the left side portion of the saw cover 24. The cover coupling portion 24A is formed substantially in the shape of a cylinder whose axial direction is the left-right direction and protrudes to the left from the saw cover 24.

[0029] The motor housing 26 is formed substantially in the shape of a box that is open to the right. The motor housing 26 is arranged to the left of the cover coupling portion 24A of the saw cover 24 and is fixed to the cover coupling portion 24A by tightening at a position not shown.

[0030] The battery holder 28 extends rearwardly from the upper portion of the motor housing 26. A battery 32 is attached to the battery holder 28 from the rear, and the battery 32 is arranged on the underside of the battery holder 28 behind the motor housing 26. The battery 32 is electrically connected to a controller (not shown) and a motor 42 of the drive mechanism 40 described below.

[0031] A grip portion 28A is provided on the top of the battery holder 28. Viewed from the right, the grip portion 28A is formed substantially in a "U" shape obliquely open at the front bottom, and the front end portion of the grip portion 28A is connected to the motor housing 26, while the rear end portion of the grip portion 28A is connected to the battery holder 28. A pull-operable trigger 34 is provided on the grip portion 28A. By pulling (pushing) the trigger 34, a switch (not shown) housed inside the grip portion 28A is pressed. This switch is electrically connected to the control device, and the drive mechanism 40 described below is operated in accordance with the operation of the trigger 34.

[0032] (Drive mechanism 40) As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the drive mechanism 40 is configured with the motor 42 and the output shaft 44. The motor 42 is a brushless motor, housed in the motor housing 26, and electrically connected to the control device. The motor 42 has a rotation axis 42A whose axial direction is the left-right direction, and the rotation axis 42A is rotatably supported by a motor bearing (not shown) fixed to the motor housing 26. A pinion gear is formed at the right end portion of the rotation axis 42A.

[0033] The output shaft 44 has a left-right direction as its axial direction and is disposed below the right end portion of the rotational axis 42A and inside the cover coupling portion 24A of the saw cover 24. The left end portion of the output shaft 44 is rotatably supported by a metal bearing 46 fixed to the cover coupling portion 24A, and a left-right intermediate portion of the output shaft 44 is rotatably supported by a bearing 48 fixed to the cover coupling portion 24A. An output gear 50 is integrally rotatably provided at the left-right intermediate portion of the output shaft 44, and the output gear 50 is coupled to a pinion of the rotational axis 42A via a transmission mechanism (not shown).

[0034] The center portion of the circular saw blade 14 is fixed to the right end portion of the output shaft 44 by a fixing bolt 52. Specifically, the center portion of the circular saw blade 14 is clamped from the outer sides in the left-right direction by a spacer member 16 serving as a holding member for the circular saw blade 14, and the spacer member 16 is fixed to the output shaft 44 by tightening the fixing bolt 52. The output shaft 44 and the circular saw blade 14 are thus configured to rotate to one side about the axis of the output shaft 44 while the motor 42 is driven. The lower end portion of the spacer member 16 is located inside the through-passage portion 12A of the base 12 (within a width range of the through-passage portion 12A in the up-down direction).

[0035] The lower portion of the circular saw blade 14 is covered by a protective cover 54. The protective cover 54 is formed substantially in the shape of a semicircle, which is bulged downwards when viewed from the right, and is formed with an upwardly open recessed shape. The protective cover 54 is rotatably coupled to the output shaft 44 about the output shaft 44. In addition, the protective cover 54 is preloaded around the output shaft 44 by a preload spring (not shown) and in the Fig. 2. During cutting with the circular saw 10, the protective cover 54 is rotated around the output shaft 44 by the workpiece against the preload force of the preload spring, so that a cutting section of the circular saw blade 14 is exposed.

[0036] (Tilt mechanism 60) As in Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. As shown in Figures 5 to 11, the work machine of the present embodiment includes the tilting mechanism 60, which changes the relative position of the circular saw body 20 and the base 12 and tilts (tilts) the circular saw blade 14 with respect to the base 12. Specifically, the tilting mechanism 60 is adjustable between an upright position of the circular saw body 20 (a non-tilted position shown in Fig. 1 to 3), and an inclined position (in Fig. 4) in which it is tilted substantially 45 degrees to the right from the upright position. In the tilting mechanism 60, if a part where the circular saw blade 14 (left side surface) and a horizontal plane GB intersect in the non-tilted state (right-angled state) is an axis line AL, it is configured to tilt the circular saw main body 20 with respect to the base 12 so that the position of the axis line AL does not change. It is also configured such that the bottom surface of a guide rail attachable thereto is on the same plane as the horizontal plane GB. Therefore, during cutting work using the guide rail, the axis line AL approximately corresponds to the position where the circular saw blade 14 and the upper surface of the workpiece intersect. The axis line AL, like the virtual tilt axis of Patent Document 2, is an axis that does not actually exist. The tilting mechanism 60 can be described as a mechanism which appears to tilt the circular saw body 20 around the imaginary (virtual) axis line AL extending in the front-rear direction (see . Fig. 9 to 11) can rotate about the base 12, the position of the axis line AL with respect to the circular saw body 20 (the point at which the circular saw blade 14 and the horizontal plane GB intersect each other) relatively changing during tilting (details of which will be explained below).

[0037] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 5, the tilt mechanism 60 is provided on top of the base 12, spanning the base from the front to the rear. The tilt mechanism 60 includes a front tilt mechanism portion 70 forming the front end portion of the tilt mechanism 60, and a rear tilt mechanism portion 80 forming the rear end portion of the tilt mechanism 60. The front tilt mechanism portion 70 and the rear tilt mechanism portion 80 are coupled so that the front tilt mechanism portion 70 and the rear tilt mechanism portion 80 are operated simultaneously.

[0038] (Front tilt mechanism section 70) As shown in Fig. 5 to 7 and Fig. 9 and Fig. 10, the front tilting mechanism portion 70 is configured with a front guide 71 serving as a guide member, a front tilting plate 72 serving as a movable member, and a front link 78 serving as a restricting member.

[0039] (Front Guide 71) The front guide 71 is made of metal (aluminum in the present embodiment) and is formed substantially in the shape of a rectangular plate whose thickness direction is the front-back direction. A guide fixing portion 71A projecting outward in the left-right direction is provided at the lower end portion of the front guide 71. The front guide 71 is located away from the front side of the saw cover 24, and the guide fixing portion 71A is fixed to the base 12 by tightening a fixing screw SC1. The upper surface of the front guide 71 is curved upwardly toward the right when viewed from the rear. The axis line AL is located on the lower side of the right portion of the front guide 71.

[0040] In the rear surface of the front guide 71, a receiving recess portion 71B is formed for receiving a front connecting piece 78 described below. The receiving recess portion 71B is formed in the shape of a recess open to the rear, extending along the rotation direction of the circular saw body 20 (see arrow direction A and arrow direction B in Fig. 9 and Fig. 10) and is increasingly curved upwards toward the right. The right end portion of the receiving recess portion 71B is open to the right, and the left end portion of the receiving recess portion 71B is open obliquely downwards to the left.

[0041] On the rear surface of the front guide 71, an inner guide groove 71C is formed in a radially inner portion of the receiving recess portion 71B as a guide groove that guides an inner guide shaft 73 described below. The inner guide groove 71C is formed in the form of a groove open to the rear. The inner guide groove 71C extends in a curved (circular arc-shaped) manner along the rotational direction of the circular saw body 20 when viewed from the rear. Details will be explained below, but the inner guide groove 71C is designed such that its curvature (its radius of curvature) changes at least in one portion. Thus, in the Fig. In the non-inclined state (rectangular state) shown in FIG. 9, the radius of curvature of the inner guide groove 71C around the axis line AL is set to be progressively larger from a lower end portion of the inner guide groove 71C (end portion on one side in the longitudinal direction, left end portion) to an upper end portion (end portion on the other side in the longitudinal direction, right end portion). An end surface 71C1 of the lower end portion of the inner guide groove 71C inclines rearward (toward the opening side of the inner guide groove 71C) progressively toward the longitudinal one side of the inner guide groove 71C.

[0042] On the rear surface of the front guide 71 of the receiving recess portion 71B, an outer guide groove 71D is formed in a radially outer portion radially outward of the inner guide groove 71C as a guide groove that guides the outer guide axis 74 described below. The outer guide groove 71D is formed in the shape of a rearwardly open groove. The outer guide groove 71D extends parallel to the inner guide groove 71C when viewed from the rear. The outer guide groove 71D is curved in a substantially circular arc around the axis line AL. Details will be explained below, but the outer guide groove 71D is configured so that its curvature (its radius of curvature) changes at least at one portion. Thus, the radius of curvature of the outer guide groove 71D around the axis line AL is set to be progressively larger from a lower end portion of the outer guide groove 71D (end portion on one side in the longitudinal direction, left end portion) toward an upper end portion (end portion on the other side in the longitudinal direction, right end portion). A groove width of the outer guide groove 71D is set to be larger than a groove width of the inner guide groove 71C. Also, an end surface 71D1 of the lower end portion of the outer guide groove 71D inclines rearward (toward the opening side of the outer guide groove 71D) progressively toward the longitudinal one side of the outer guide groove 71D.

[0043] In the front guide 71, a fixing hole 71E is formed continuously between the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D. The fixing hole 71E is a hole through which a fixed shaft 76, described below, passes. The fixing hole 71E extends parallel to the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D when viewed from the rear. The radius of curvature of the fixing hole 71E is set to become increasingly larger from the lower end portion toward the upper end portion of the fixing hole 71E.

[0044] In Fig. 9 and Fig. 10, for the rectangular state (without inclination), a point CA1, which is the center position of the outer guide axis 74, a point CB1, which is the center position of the inner guide axis 73, and a point CC1, which is the center position of the fixed axis 76, are shown. Likewise, for the inclined state (45-degree inclined state), a point CA2, which is the center position of the outer guide axis 74, a point CB2, which is the center position of the inner guide axis 73, and a point CC2, which is the center position of the fixed axis 76, are shown. Also shown are a circular arc TA, which is the trajectory of the center position of the outer guide axis 74, a circular arc TB, which is the trajectory of the center position of the inner guide axis 73, and a circular arc TC, which is the trajectory of the center position of the fixed axis 76.The circular arcs TA, TB, and TC show a state of coincidence with a respective partial circular arc of a fixed ellipse (elliptical arc). The center positions of the outer guide axis 74, the inner guide axis 73, and the fixed axis 76 move between point CA1, point CB1, and point CC1, respectively, and point CA2, point CB2, and point CC2, respectively, but are in . Fig. 9 and Fig. 10 extending beyond the path of the circular arcs (TA, TB, TC). As shown, the circular arc TA is a circular arc that gradually moves away from the axis line AL (in the radial direction). As discussed above, the circular arc TA is therefore a circular arc whose radius of curvature gradually increases (whose curvature decreases) from CA1. The same applies to the circular arcs TB, TC. The circular arcs TA, TB, TC are each lines connecting the center positions in the width direction in the guide grooves (71C, 71D, 71E).

[0045] Fig. 9 and Fig. 10 shows, as comparative examples (prior art examples), a point CA', a point CB', a point CC', a circular arc TA', a circular arc TB', and a circular arc TC' for the point CA2, the point CB2, the point CC2, the circular arc TA, the circular arc TB, and the circular arc TC. Point CA', point CB', and point CC' are the center positions of the outer guide axis 74, the inner guide axis 73, and the fixed axis 76 in the inclined state when the radius of curvature of the guide grooves (71C, 71D, 71E) is constant. Circular arc TA', circular arc TB' and circular arc TC' are the paths that pass through the center positions of the outer guide axis 74, the inner guide axis 73 and the fixed axis 76 when the radius of curvature of the guide grooves (71C, 71D, 71E) is constant. The circular arc TA', the circular arc TB', and the circular arc TC' are parallel and exhibit a state corresponding to a partial arc of a perfect circle with the specified axis line AL as the center. The point CA2, which is the end point position of the outer guide axis 74, is located higher than the point CA'. The position of the guide axis in the inclined state is therefore higher than in the prior art. As shown, the circular arc TA, the circular arc TB, and the circular arc TC are longer than the circular arc TA', the circular arc TB', and the circular arc TC' of the prior art. Consequently, when the present invention is applied (the configuration with a gradually increasing radius of curvature of the guide groove), the front guide 71 is larger than in the prior art.

[0046] In Fig. 9 and Fig. 10 shows a straight line L1 and a straight line L2 passing through the axis line AL. The straight line L1 is inclined at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the left-right direction (up-down direction). The straight line L2 runs parallel to the up-down direction. The straight line L1 and the straight line L2 thus intersect each other at an angle of 45 degrees. When the circular saw body 20 is in the upright position (in the right-angle state), the point CA1, the point CB1, and the point CC1 lie on the straight line L1 when viewed from the rear. When the circular saw body 20 is in the inclined state (inclined at 45 degrees), the center positions of the outer guide axis 74, the inner guide axis 73, and the fixed axis 76, which would lie on the straight line L2 in the prior art, are each offset to the upper right, as shown.

[0047] In Fig. 9 shows a distance S1 in the top-bottom direction between the lower end of the spacer element 16 and the bottom surface of the base 12 in the upright position (in the right-angled state). Fig. 10, in addition to the distance S1, a distance S2 in the top-bottom direction is also shown between the lower end of the spacer element 16 and the underside surface of the base 12 in the inclined state (45 degree inclined state). Fig. 9 and Fig. 10 also shows the axis line AL (intersection point between the circular saw blade 14 and the horizontal plane GB) corresponding to the respective state, where Fig. 10 the position of the axis line AL in relation to the circular saw body 20 in the state of Fig. 9 is indicated by AL'. In Fig. In Fig. 9, the position of the spacer element 16 in the state of inclination of the circular saw body 20 from the upright position (the upright state) with respect to the base 12 by 45 degrees around the axis line AL (in the virtual state) is shown with a dotted line as the virtual position 16'. Thus, the virtual position 16' is the position of the spacer element 16 in the inclined state for the case where the virtual inclination axis is fixed as in the prior art. In other words, the virtual position 16' is the position of the spacer element 16 in the inclined state for the case where the radius of curvature of the guide grooves (71C, 71D, 71E) is constant. In the present embodiment, the cutting depth in the upright position is set such that, in the case of the prior art configuration (with a fixed virtual tilt axis), at least a portion of the spacer member 16 is located lower than the base bottom surface 12C in the tilted state. To enable cutting using a guide rail, in the present embodiment, the position where the circular saw blade 14 intersects the horizontal plane GB (axis line AL) is unchanged in the upright position and the tilted position. In other words, the configuration is such that a portion of the circular saw blade 14 passes through the virtual axis (axis line AL) in both the upright position and the tilted position. Therefore, in the inclined position, the position where the circular saw blade 14 and the base bottom surface 12C intersect shifts in the direction in which the circular saw body 20 tilts (to the right). Due to the change in the radius of curvature of the guide grooves (71C, 71D, 71E), when shifting from the upright position (the non-inclined state) to the inclined position, the circular saw body 20 moves away from the base 12 along the surface direction of the circular saw blade 14. As a result, the position of the axis line AL with respect to the circular saw body 20 is different in the upright position and the inclined position. Specifically, as shown in FIG. Fig. As shown in Figure 10, the axis line AL in the inclined position is located at a position that is distant from the spacer element 16 (center of the circular saw blade 14) with respect to the axis line AL' in the upright state. Consequently, the cutting depth is different in the upright position and the inclined position. In the embodiment of Fig. 9 and Fig. 10, the cutting depth is large in the upright position, while the cutting depth is small in the inclined position. Thus, the configuration according to the present embodiment is such that the guide axis is guided in the guide groove by the shape of the guide groove, thereby changing the cutting depth. Specifically, the cutting depth becomes smaller due to the adjustment of the curvature radius of the guide grooves in response to the tilting operation (the downward projection amount of the circular saw blade 14 from the base bottom surface 12C decreases). In the present embodiment, the distance S2 is set larger than the distance S1. Specifically, the distance S1 is 1 mm, and the distance S2 is 1.5 mm. This is 0.5 mm larger than the distance S1. In other words, the displacement amount of the lower end position of the spacer member 16 during tilting is 0.5 mm, which is less than or equal to the distance S1.Thus, the configuration is such that the lower end of the spacer member 16 gradually moves upward from the bottom surface 12C of the base 12 during tilting. Also, the configuration is such that the lower end position of the spacer member 16 does not shift downward during the displacement from the upright state to the tilted state. Thus, in the present embodiment, the configuration is such that the lower end position of the spacer member 16 continuously shifts upward during the displacement from the upright state to the tilted state. The displacement amount of the lower end position of the spacer member 16 during tilting is preferably less than or equal to the distance in the up-down direction (the distance S1) between the lower end position of the spacer member 16 and the base bottom surface 12C in the upright position (non-tilted state).By this configuration, the spacer element 16 can be actuated in a region above the base underside surface 12C, even if the cutting depth in the upright state is increased to such an extent that with the prior art configuration (fixed virtual axis) a portion of the spacer element 16 would lie below the base underside surface 12C upon tilting, as indicated by the virtual position 16' in FIG. Fig. 9 shown.

[0048] (Front Tilt Plate 72) The front tilt plate 72 is made of metal (aluminum in the present embodiment). The front tilt plate 72 is formed in the shape of a substantially elongated plate whose plate thickness direction is the front-rear direction, extending along the rotational direction of the circular saw body 20 and disposed rearwardly adjacent to the front guide 71. At the substantially central portion of the rear surface of the front tilt plate 72, a plate fixing portion 72A raised rearward by one step is formed, and the plate fixing portion 72A is fixed by tightening to a front coupling mechanism 30A of the cutting depth adjustment mechanism 30. In this way, the front tilt plate 72 is coupled to the front end portion of the circular saw body 20.

[0049] At the radially inner part of the front tilt plate 72, at a position corresponding to the inner guide groove 71C of the front guide 71, the inner guide shaft 73 is provided as a guide shaft. The inner guide shaft 73 is formed substantially in the shape of a circular column with the front-rear direction as the axial direction, the rear end portion of the inner guide shaft 73 is pressed into an axle hole 72B formed in the front tilt plate 72, and the inner guide shaft 73 protrudes forward from the front tilt plate 72. The diameter of the inner guide shaft 73 is set slightly smaller than the groove width of the inner guide groove 71C, and the front end portion of the inner guide shaft 73 is inserted into the inner guide groove 71C so as to be able to slide therein and is arranged in the lower end portion of the inner guide groove 71C.This results in a configuration in which the inner guide shaft 73 is guided through the inner guide groove 71C when the circular saw body 20 is rotated between the upright position and the inclined position. In the inclined position of the circular saw body 20, the inner guide shaft 73 is arranged in the upper end portion of the inner guide groove 71C.

[0050] At the radially outer part of the front tilt plate 72, at a position corresponding to the outer guide groove 71D of the front guide 71, the outer guide shaft 74 is provided as a guide shaft. The outer guide shaft 74 is formed substantially in the shape of a circular column whose axial direction is the front-rear direction and has the same shape as the inner guide shaft 73. The rear end portion of the outer guide shaft 74 is pressed into an axle hole 72C formed in the front tilt plate 72, and the outer guide shaft 74 protrudes forward from the front tilt plate 72. A cylindrical bearing member 75 is provided at the front end portion of the outer guide shaft 74, and the bearing member 75 is configured as a ball bearing. The diameter of the bearing member 75 is set slightly smaller than the groove width of the outer guide groove 71D, and the bearing member 75 is inserted into the outer guide groove 71D so as to be movable therein and is arranged in the lower end portion of the outer guide groove 71D. Thus, a configuration is provided in which the outer guide shaft 74 (the bearing member 75) is guided by the outer guide groove 71D when the circular saw body 20 is rotated between the upright position and the inclined position. In the inclined position of the circular saw body 20, the outer guide shaft 74 (the bearing member 75) is arranged in the upper end portion of the outer guide groove 71D. The outer guide shaft 74 and the inner guide shaft 73 are a guide shaft of the present invention and are an example of the guided portion.

[0051] On the front tilt plate 72, the fixed axis 76 is provided between the inner guide axis 73 and the outer guide axis 74. The fixed axis 76 is provided in a radial direction around the axis line AL (a direction orthogonal to the front-rear direction) between the inner guide axis 73 and the outer guide axis 74. The fixed axis 76 is formed substantially in the shape of a circular column with the front-rear direction as the axial direction, the rear end portion of the fixed axis 76 being non-rotatably coupled to the front tilt plate 72, and the fixed axis 76 projecting forward from the front tilt plate 72. The diameter of the fixed shaft 76 is set smaller than the width dimension of the fixing hole 71E, the fixed shaft 76 is inserted into the lower end portion of the fixing hole 71E, and the front end portion of the fixed shaft 76 projects forward from the front guide 71.At the front end portion of the fixed axis 76 as a substantially elongated fixing element, a fixing lever 77 (see . Fig. 1 and Fig. 2), wherein one end portion of the fixing lever 77 is screwed to a threaded portion formed on the outer peripheral portion of the front end of the fixed shaft 76. Thus, the front tilt plate 72 is fixed to the front guide 71 by tightening the fixing lever 77 to the front guide 71.

[0052] At the lower end portion of the left portion of the front tilt plate 72, a plate coupling portion 72D is integrally provided for coupling a rear tilt plate 82 of the rear tilt mechanism portion 80 described below and the front tilt plate 72. Thus, the front tilt plate 72 and the rear tilt plate 82 are configured as a single, non-separable member. The plate coupling portion 72D is formed substantially in the shape of an elongated plate whose thickness direction is the up-down direction and whose length direction is the front-back direction, and protrudes rearward from the front tilt plate 72.

[0053] (Front Link 78) The front link 78 is formed by sintered metal (iron in the present embodiment), and the front link 78 is impregnated with lubricating oil. Thus, the front link 78 is formed of a material with higher mechanical strength than the front guide 71. The front link 78 is formed in the shape of a plate whose plate thickness direction is the front-rear direction, which extends along the rotation direction of the circular saw body 20, and is slidably received in the receiving recess portion 71B of the front guide 71.Specifically, a radially outer side surface of the front connecting piece 78 is arranged to contact the radially inner side of the upper inner peripheral surface of the receiving recess portion 71B, and a radially inner side surface of the front connecting piece 78 is arranged to contact the radially outer side of the lower inner peripheral surface of the receiving recess portion 71B. The upper inner peripheral surface of the receiving recess portion 71B and the lower inner peripheral surface of the receiving recess portion 71B correspond to a partial arc of a perfect circle whose center is the axis line AL (the intersection point of the circular saw blade 14 and the horizontal plane GB).In this way, the front link 78 is rotatably coupled to the front guide 71 about the axis line AL, so that when the front tilt mechanism portion 70 is actuated, the front link 78 rotates about the axis line AL while being guided by the receiving recess portion 71B. For durability and lubrication purposes, the front link 78 is made of sintered metal, but if these are not a major problem, it may also be formed of another material such as plastic or the like.

[0054] In the front link 78, connecting holes 78A are formed as a pair of restriction holes. The connecting holes 78A are through-holes in the front-rear direction. The connecting holes 78A are elongated holes whose longitudinal direction is the up-down direction (the direction intersecting the extension direction of the output shaft 44) (they extend in the direction intersecting the extension direction of the output shaft 44). The width dimension of the connecting holes 78A is set slightly larger than the diameter of the inner guide axis 73 and the outer guide axis 74. The connecting holes 78A are each arranged at a position corresponding to the inner guide axis 73 and the outer guide axis 74, with a front-rear middle portion of the inner guide axis 73 and the outer guide axis 74 inserted into the lower portion of the connecting holes 78A.In this way, the front link 78 is coupled to the front tilt plate 72 in a state where the inner guide shaft 73 and the outer guide shaft 74 are engaged with the connecting holes 78A in the left-right direction. As discussed above, the circular saw body 20 is configured such that, when rotating between the upright position and the inclined position with respect to the base 12, the circular saw body 20 approaches or departs from the circular saw blade 14 along the side surface thereof, and therefore the inner guide shaft 73 and the outer guide shaft 74 relatively displace inside the connecting holes 78A in the longitudinal direction of the connecting holes 78A.

[0055] In the front link 78, a through hole 78B is formed continuously between the pair of connecting holes 78A. The through hole 78B is formed as an elongated hole whose longitudinal direction is the up-down direction. The width dimension of the through hole 78B is set larger than the diameter of the fixed shaft 76. The through hole 78B is arranged at a position corresponding to the fixed shaft 76, and a middle portion of the fixed shaft 76 in the front-back direction is inserted into the lower portion of the through hole 78B. When rotating between the upright position and the inclined position of the circular saw main body 20, the fixed shaft 76 shifts with respect to the through hole 78B in the longitudinal direction of the through hole 78B relative to the circular saw main body 20.

[0056] (Rear tilt mechanism section 80) As shown in Fig. 5, Fig. 8 and Fig. As shown in Figure 11, the rear tilt mechanism section 80 is arranged behind the saw cover 24 and is configured as the front-to-rear inversion of the front tilt mechanism section 70. Thus, the rear tilt mechanism section 80 is configured with a rear guide 81 serving as a guide member, a rear tilt plate 82 serving as a movable member, and a rear link 88 serving as a restricting member. The rear tilt plate 82 is arranged in front of the rear guide 81, and the rear link 88 is arranged between the rear guide 81 and the rear tilt plate 82.

[0057] (Rear Guide 81) The rear guide 81 is made of metal (aluminum in the present embodiment) and is substantially identical to the front guide 71, in reverse. That is, the rear guide 81 is formed in the shape of a plate whose thickness direction is the front-rear direction, and a guide fixing portion 81A provided at the lower end portion of the rear guide 81 is fixed to the base 12 by tightening it with a fixing screw SC2. A receiving recess portion 81B is formed on the front surface of the rear guide 81, and the receiving recess portion 81B extends along the rotational direction of the circular saw main body 20 in a front view.

[0058] An inner guide groove 81C and an outer guide groove 81D are formed in the front surface of the rear guide 81 as forward-opening guide grooves. The inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D, like the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D, are curved substantially in a circular arc around the axis line AL in the upright state. The radius of curvature of the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D is also set to be progressively larger from their lower end portions (end portion on one side in the longitudinal direction, left end portion) to an upper end portion (end portion on the other side in the longitudinal direction, right end portion). An end surface 81C1 of the lower end portion of the inner guide groove 81C inclines rearward (toward the opening side of the inner guide groove 81C) toward one longitudinal side of the inner guide groove 81C, and an end surface 81C2 of the upper end portion of the inner guide groove 81C inclines forward toward the other longitudinal side of the inner guide groove 81C. Also, an end surface 81D1 of the lower end portion of the outer guide groove 81D inclines forward (toward the opening side of the outer guide groove 81D) toward one longitudinal side of the outer guide groove 81D. In the rear guide 81, the groove width of the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D is set to the same dimension.

[0059] A fixing hole 81E is formed continuously in the front surface of the rear guide 81. The fixing hole 81E is located between the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D. The fixing hole 81E is curved in a substantially circular arc shape with the axis line AL as the center, so that it is parallel to the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D in a front view, and the radius of curvature of the fixing hole 81E is set to increase from the lower end portion to the upper end portion. The characteristics and effect of the radius of curvature of the guide grooves of the rear guide 81 are the same as those of the front guide 71, so their detailed description is omitted.

[0060] (Rear Tilt Plate 82) The rear tilt plate 82, like the rear guide 81, is made of metal (aluminum in the present embodiment). The rear tilt plate 82 is formed in a substantially truncated cone shape, with the plate thickness direction in the front-to-rear direction. A plate fixing portion 82A raised rearward by one step is formed at the lower end portion of the front surface of the rear tilt plate 82. The plate fixing portion 82A is fixed by tightening to a rear coupling mechanism 30B of the cutting depth adjustment mechanism 30. In this way, the rear tilt plate 82 is coupled to the rear end portion of the circular saw main body 20.

[0061] On the rear tilt plate 82, like the front tilt plate 72, an inner guide shaft 83, an outer guide shaft 84, and a fixed shaft 86 are provided as the guide shaft. The inner guide shaft 83, the outer guide shaft 84, and the fixed shaft 86 project rearward from the rear tilt plate 82. The inner guide shaft 83 and the outer guide shaft 84 have the same shape as the inner guide shaft 73 and the outer guide shaft 74 of the front tilt plate 72. The inner guide shaft 83 is pressed into an axle hole 82B formed in the rear tilt plate 82, and the rear end portion of the inner guide shaft 83 is inserted into the inner guide groove 81C so as to be able to slide therein and is arranged in the lower end portion of the inner guide groove 81C.The outer guide shaft 84 is pressed into an axle hole 82C formed in the rear tilt plate 82, and the rear end portion of the outer guide shaft 84 is inserted into the outer guide groove 81D so as to be movable therein and is arranged in the lower end portion of the outer guide groove 81D. In the tilted position of the circular saw main body 20, the inner guide shaft 83 is arranged in the upper end portion of the inner guide groove 81C, and the outer guide shaft 84 is arranged in the upper end portion of the outer guide groove 81D. The outer guide shaft 84 and the inner guide shaft 83 are a guide shaft of the present invention and are an example of the guided portion.

[0062] The fixed axle 86 is inserted into the lower end portion of the fixing hole 81E, and the rear end portion of the fixed axle 86 projects rearward from the rear guide 81. A fixing handle 87 (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 2) is provided as a fixing member, wherein the fixing handle 87 is screwed to a threaded portion formed on the outer peripheral portion of the rear end of the fixed shaft 86. The rear tilt plate 82 is thus fixed to the rear guide 81 by tightening the fixing handle 87 to the rear guide 81.

[0063] A plate fixing portion 82A of the rear tilt plate 82 protrudes from the rear tilt plate 82 to the left, and the rear end portion of the plate coupling portion 72D of the front tilt plate 72 is connected to the plate fixing portion 82A. In this way, the rear tilt plate 82 is coupled to the front tilt plate 72.

[0064] (Rear Link 88) The rear link 88, like the front link 78, is formed of sintered metal (iron in the present embodiment), and the rear link 88 is impregnated with lubricating oil. The rear link 88 is formed in the shape of a plate whose plate thickness direction is the front-to-rear direction, extending along the rotational direction of the circular saw body 20, and is slidably received in the receiving recess portion 81B of the rear guide 81. Therefore, like the front link 78, the rear link 88 is rotatably coupled to the rear guide 81 about the axis line AL, so that when the rear tilting mechanism portion 80 is operated, the rear link 88 rotates about the axis line AL while being guided by the receiving recess portion 81B.

[0065] In the rear link 88, like the front link 78, a pair of connecting holes 88A are continuously formed as a restriction hole and a through hole 88B. The connecting holes 88A and the through hole 88B are formed as elongated holes whose longitudinal direction is the up-down direction. The connecting holes 88A are each arranged at a position corresponding to the inner guide shaft 83 and the outer guide shaft 84 of the rear tilt plate 82, and a middle portion of the inner guide shaft 83 and the outer guide shaft 84 in the front-back direction is inserted into the lower portion of the connecting holes 88A. In this way, the rear link 88 is coupled to the rear tilt plate 82 in a state where the inner guide shaft 83 and the outer guide shaft 84 are engaged with the connecting holes 88A in the left-right direction. The through hole 88B is arranged at a position corresponding to the fixed axis 86, and a front-rear central portion of the fixed axis 86 is inserted into the lower portion of the through hole 88B.

[0066] As in Fig. 9 to 11, the axis line AL lies below the base 12, while the position of the axis line AL in the left-right direction essentially corresponds to the position of the circular saw blade 14 (spacer element 16) in the upright position (see Fig. 9). As discussed above, the radius of curvature of the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D (inner guide groove 81C and outer guide groove 81D) of the front guide 71 (rear guide 81) is set to increase from the lower end portion to the upper end portion. Furthermore, the inner guide axis 73 (inner guide axis 83) is disposed at the lower end portion of the inner guide groove 71C (inner guide groove 81C), and the outer guide axis 74 (outer guide axis 84) is disposed at the lower end portion of the outer guide groove 71D (outer guide groove 81D).When the circular saw body 20 is tilted from the upright position to the tilted position by the tilting mechanism 60, the inner guide axis 73 (inner guide axis 83) moves along the inner guide groove 71C (inner guide groove 81C) toward the upper end portion, and the outer guide axis 74 (outer guide axis 84) moves along the outer guide groove 71D (outer guide groove 81D) toward the upper end portion. Therefore, when the circular saw body 20 is tilted from the upright position to the tilted position, the circular saw body 20 is determined to move upward relative to the base 12.The radius of curvature of the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D of the front guide 71 and the radius of curvature of the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D of the rear guide 81 are set such that the amount of relative movement of the circular saw main body 20 upward with respect to the base 12 due to the front tilting mechanism section 70 and the amount of relative movement of the circular saw main body 20 upward with respect to the base 12 due to the rear tilting mechanism section 80 are the same.

[0067] More specifically, as discussed above, in the upright position, the lower end portion of the spacer member 16 for coupling the circular saw blade 14 to the output shaft 44 is located in the through-section 12A of the base 12 and above the axis line AL (see Fig. 3 and Fig. 9). The radius of curvature of the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D of the front guide 71 and the radius of curvature of the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D of the rear guide 81 are set such that the lower end portion of the spacer element 16 in the through-section 12A of the base 12 shifts to the right when the circular saw body 20 is tilted from the upright position to the tilted position by the tilting mechanism 60 (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 10). Thus, when the circular saw body 20 is tilted from the upright position to the inclined position by the tilting mechanism 60, the circular saw body 20 displaces upward relative to the base 12 such that the vertical position of the lower end portion of the spacer member 16 does not change in the downward direction (the spacer member 16 does not project downward further than the base 12).

[0068] (Operation and Effect) Next, the operation and effect of the present embodiment will be described.

[0069] In the circular saw 10 with the above configuration, when the circular saw body 20 is in the upright position, the circular saw blade 14 is arranged such that the left-right direction is its panel thickness direction. Thus, during cutting with the circular saw body 20 in the upright position, the cutting surface of the workpiece is formed on a plane orthogonal to the left-right direction.

[0070] When the cutting surface of the workpiece is to be a beveled surface, the circular saw body 20 is tilted from the upright position to the inclined position by means of the tilting mechanism 60. For example, when the cutting surface of the workpiece is to be a 45-degree beveled surface, the circular saw body 20 is tilted to the inclined position (45-degree inclined position) by means of the tilting mechanism 60. Specifically, at the front tilting mechanism section 70, the fixing lever 77 is rotated to release the state of tightening the fixing lever 77 to the front guide 71, and at the rear tilting mechanism section 80, the fixing handle 87 is rotated to release the state of tightening the fixing handle 87 to the rear guide 81. This allows the circular saw body 20 to tilt (move) to the inclined position.

[0071] The operator now tilts the circular saw body 20 from the upright position to the tilted position. Thus, the circular saw body 20 rotates by means of the tilting mechanism 60 to tilt to the right. Specifically, the inner guide axis 73 of the front tilt plate 72 moves along the inner guide groove 71C of the front guide 71 from the lower end portion toward the upper end portion, and the outer guide axis 74 of the front tilt plate 72 moves along the outer guide groove 71D of the front guide 71 from the lower end portion toward the upper end portion. In addition, the inner guide axis 83 of the rear tilt plate 82 moves along the inner guide groove 81C of the rear guide 81 from the lower end portion toward the upper end portion, and the outer guide axis 84 of the rear tilt plate 82 moves along the outer guide groove 81D of the rear guide 81 from the lower end portion toward the upper end portion. At the front tilt mechanism portion 70, when the inner guide axis 73 reaches the upper end portion of the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide axis 74 reaches the upper end portion of the outer guide groove 71D, and at the rear tilt mechanism portion 80, the inner guide axis 83 reaches the upper end portion of the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide axis 84 reaches the upper end portion of the outer guide groove 81D, the circular saw main body 20 is disposed in the tilted position. When tilting the circular saw body 20 from the upright position to the tilted position, the fixed shaft 76 is positioned at the upper end portion of the fixing hole 71E of the front guide 71, and the fixed shaft 86 is positioned at the upper end portion of the fixing hole 81E of the rear guide 81. In this state, when the fixing lever 77 is rotated and the fixing lever 77 is tightened to the front guide 71, and the fixing handle 87 is rotated and the fixing handle 87 is tightened to the rear guide 81, the circular saw body 20 is fixed (relatively immovably coupled) with respect to the base 12.

[0072] In contrast, with a tilting mechanism in which the rotation during tilting is on the underside of the spacer element 16 (bottom left), the spacer element 16 shifts obliquely to the bottom right when the circular saw body 20 is rotated from the upright position to the tilted position. Therefore, in the prior art, it is necessary to avoid interference between the spacer element 16 and the workpiece, which is why the circular saw body 2 is raised sufficiently far upwards from the workpiece so that the spacer element does not protrude below the base during tilting, in which case there is a possibility of deteriorating the working characteristics.

[0073] In the tilting mechanism 60 of the circular saw 10, the front tilting mechanism section 70 of the tilting mechanism 60 is therefore configured with the front tilting plate 72 coupled to the circular saw body 20 and the front guide 71 that guides the rotation of the front tilting plate 72. The rear tilting mechanism section 80 of the tilting mechanism 60 is also configured with the rear tilting plate 82 coupled to the circular saw body 20 and the rear guide 81 that guides the rotation of the rear tilting plate 82. The front tilting plate 72 and the rear tilting plate 82 are configured such that they do not shift relative to the circular saw body 20 when the circular saw body 20 is tilted. When the circular saw body 20 is tilted (rotated) from the upright position to the inclined position, the circular saw body 20 is moved away from the base 12 along the side surface of the circular saw blade 14 by the front guide 71 and the rear guide 81. As a result, the cutting depth decreases (the downward projection of the circular saw blade 14 from the base bottom surface 12C decreases). Therefore, even when the circular saw body 20 is tilted from the upright position, the spacer member 16 coupling the circular saw blade 14 to the output shaft 44 can be prevented from shifting downward. Specifically, the lower end portion of the spacer member 16 is located inside the through-passage portion 12A of the base 12 in the upright position and the inclined position of the circular saw body 20, and at a predetermined position between the upright position and the inclined position. As a result, downward protrusion of the spacer element 16 from the base 12 can be prevented, while at the same time, the cutting depth of the circular saw blade 14 can be prevented from decreasing. Consequently, deterioration of the working characteristics of the circular saw 10 can be prevented.

[0074] The front guide 71 includes the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D, which guide the rotation of the front tilt plate 72, and the rear guide 81 includes the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D, which guide the rotation of the rear tilt plate 82. The inner guide groove 71C (inner guide groove 81C) and the outer guide groove 71D (outer guide groove 81D) form a circular arc shape with the axis line AL as the center in the front-rear direction and are increasingly curved upwardly inclined toward the right. Also, the inner guide axis 73 (inner guide axis 83) is inserted into the lower end portion of the inner guide groove 71C (inner guide groove 81C), and the outer guide axis 74 (outer guide axis 84) is inserted into the lower end portion of the outer guide groove 71D (outer guide groove 81D).The radius of curvature of the inner guide groove 71C (inner guide groove 81C) and the outer guide groove 71D (outer guide groove 81D) is set to increase from the lower end portion to the upper end portion. In this way, with a simple configuration, the circular saw body 20 can be displaced upward relative to the base 12 while the circular saw body 20 is rotated from the upright position to the tilted position. In other words, with the configuration described above, the displacement amount of the lower end position of the spacer member 16 during tilting can be controlled, and a portion of the spacer member 16 can be prevented from projecting downward from the base 12. Thus, the length (amount) by which the circular saw blade 14 protrudes from the base bottom surface 12C, that is, the change in the cutting depth, can be controlled. In the present embodiment, the configuration is such that the displacement amount of the lower end of the spacer member 16 in the up-down direction due to the tilt of the circular saw body 20 is equal to or smaller than the distance between the lower end of the spacer member 16 and the base bottom surface 12C in the up-down direction when the circular saw body 20 is in the non-tilted position. Specifically, the displacement amount of the lower end of the spacer member 16 in the up-down direction is 0.5 mm, and the distance S1 is 1.0 mm. In this way, contact between the spacer member 16 and the workpiece can be advantageously prevented. When applying the present invention, when the cutting depth is to be maintained in the upright position, the configuration may be such that the lower end position of the spacer member 16 in the inclined state is a position equal to or higher than the lower end position of the spacer member 16 in the upright state (non-inclined state). If the lower end position of the spacer member 16 in the inclined state and the upright state are the same, excessive reduction of the cutting depth can be suppressed. Since the present embodiment assumes that cutting is performed using a guide rail, the position of the axis line AL is set a certain distance below the base bottom surface 12C, but the present invention can also be applied to a circular saw that does not provide a guide rail. For example, the position of the axial line AL may be a position of overlap with the base bottom surface 12C. In this case, when cutting without a guide rail (when the base 12 is allowed to slide directly along the workpiece), a configuration can be adopted that does not change the cutting position on the upper surface of the workpiece even during chamfering. That is, it can be set so that the horizontal plane GB and the base bottom surface 12C lie on the same plane. The present invention is particularly advantageously effective in a configuration in which the axial line AL lies below the spacer disk 16 (the holding member of the circular saw blade 14).

[0075] The radius of curvature of the guide grooves is designed to become increasingly larger from the lower end portion to the upper end portion, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, since the spacer element shifts upward during the reverse tilting discussed above, and the cutting depth decreases, a design is also possible in which the change tendency is reversed during reverse tilting to ensure the cutting depth. To optimally arrange auxiliary functions (lighting device or blower device), the displacement of the main body during tilting can also be controlled by adjusting the radius of curvature of the guide grooves. In the above embodiment, there is a concern that the inclined guide sections (front guide 71, rear guide 81) might increase in size in exchange for ensuring the cutting depth. However, the inclined guide sections (front guide 71, rear guide 81) can be made compact by reversing the change in the curvature radius. Although the lower end position of the spacer member 16 continuously shifts downward during tilting, in addition to the above-mentioned effect of downsizing, the amount of displacement of the spacer member 16 in the left-right direction during tilting can also be restricted. Therefore, the effect of the present invention is not limited to ensuring the cutting depth. In the present embodiment, the guide grooves are provided on the base 12 and the guide axes are provided on the circular saw body 20, but this relationship may be reversed, and the guide grooves may be provided on the circular saw body 20 and the guide axes on the base 12. The guide grooves are formed as groove shapes closed on one side in the front-back direction, but may also be continuous recesses. As the member for holding the circular saw blade 14, the spacer member 16, which is a metal washer, was described, but the present invention is not limited to a metal washer as long as it is a member that holds the circular saw blade 14. Therefore, in the present invention, it is sufficient if the displacement amount in the up-down direction of the holding member that holds the circular saw blade 14 is regulated. In this document, the spacer 16 (holding element) was described as an example of the element that may be located below the base bottom surface 12C, but it may also be another element that shifts during tilting. For example, the fixing bolt 52 or the saw cover 24 may also be partially located below the spacer 16 during tilting. During reverse tilting, the motor housing 26 and the battery 32, which are located on the left side of the circular saw body 20, may partially shift downward. These, too, should be taken care not to protrude below the base bottom surface 12C or collide with the base 12 during tilting.

[0076] As discussed above, the front guide 71 has the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D, and the rear guide 81 has the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D. Thus, the rotation of the circular saw body 20 is guided by guide grooves at two locations at the front tilting mechanism section 70 and the rear tilting mechanism section 80. Consequently, the front tilting plate 72 and the rear tilting plate 82 can both be properly guided during their rotation.

[0077] In the front tilt mechanism section 70, the round-column-shaped inner guide shaft 73 is slidably inserted into the inner guide groove 71C, and the inner guide groove 71C guides the displacement of the inner guide shaft 73. In the rear tilt mechanism section 80, the round-column-shaped inner guide shaft 83 (outer guide shaft 84) is slidably inserted into the inner guide groove 81C (outer guide groove 81D), and the inner guide groove 81C (outer guide groove 81D) guides the displacement of the inner guide shaft 83 (outer guide shaft 84). Therefore, when the tilt mechanism 60 is operated, the guide shafts are in linear contact with the inner peripheral surface of the corresponding guide groove and are guided by this guide groove. Consequently, the frictional resistance during operation of the tilt mechanism 60 can be reduced, allowing the tilt mechanism 60 to be operated smoothly.

[0078] On the front tilt mechanism section 70, the bearing element 75 configured as a ball bearing (rolling bearing) is provided at the tip end portion of the outer guide shaft 74, wherein the bearing element 75 is movably inserted into the outer guide groove 71D. This reduces the frictional resistance during operation of the front tilt mechanism section 70, so that the front tilt mechanism section 70 can be operated smoothly. The invention of providing the bearing element on the guide shaft is also applicable to configurations in which the radius of curvature of the circular arc-shaped guide section is constant.

[0079] At the front tilt mechanism section 70, the fixed shaft 76 extends forward from the front tilt plate 72 and is inserted into the fixing hole 71E of the front guide 71, and the front end portion of the fixed shaft 76 protrudes forward from the front guide 71. The fixing lever 77 is screwed to the front end portion of the fixed shaft 76. By tightening the fixing lever 77 on the front guide 71, the circular saw body 20 can be fixed (relatively immovably coupled) to the base 12. Similarly, at the rear tilt mechanism section 80, the fixed shaft 86 extends rearward from the rear tilt plate 82 and is inserted into the fixing hole 81E of the rear guide 81, and the rear end portion of the fixed shaft 86 protrudes rearward from the rear guide 81. The fixing handle 87 is screwed to the rear end section of the fixed axle 86.By tightening the fixing handle 87 on the rear guide 81, the circular saw body 20 can be fixed to the base 12 (coupled to it relatively immovably).

[0080] At the front tilting mechanism section 70, the front tilting plate 72 is arranged behind the front guide 71, and the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D of the front guide 71 are formed in the shape of rearwardly open grooves. At the rear tilting mechanism section 80, the rear tilting plate 82 is arranged in front of the rear guide 81, and the inner guide groove 81C and the outer guide groove 81D of the rear guide 81 are formed in the shape of frontwardly open grooves. This prevents machining chips generated during cutting from entering the inner guide groove 71C, the outer guide groove 71D, the inner guide groove 81C, and the outer guide groove 81D. Consequently, the tilting mechanism 60 can be operated properly.

[0081] The front tilt mechanism section 70 includes the front link 78, and the front link 78 is rotatably coupled to the front guide 71 about the axis line AL. The front link 78 is formed with a pair of connecting holes 78A, which are elongated holes whose longitudinal direction is the up-down direction. The inner guide shaft 73 and the outer guide shaft 74 are inserted into the connecting holes 78A, so that the inner guide shaft 73 and the outer guide shaft 74 engage with the connecting holes 78A in the left-right direction. The rear tilt mechanism section 80 similarly includes the rear link 88, and the rear link 88 is rotatably coupled to the rear guide 81 about the axis line AL.The rear link 88 is formed with a pair of connecting holes 88A, which are elongated holes whose longitudinal direction is the up-down direction. The inner guide shaft 83 and the outer guide shaft 84 are inserted into the connecting holes 88A, so that the inner guide shaft 83 and the outer guide shaft 84 are engaged with the connecting holes 88A in the left-right direction. Thus, the inclination of the guide shafts (73, 74, 83, 84) of the present embodiment is guided in two ways: by the guide portion (guide groove) provided on the base 12 and the restricting member (front link 78, rear link 88) that rotates when the circular saw main body 20 tilts relative to the base 12.As a result, the guide axes can be actuated in the extending direction of the circular arc of the guide section, while the restricting member prevents the circular saw body 20 from relatively displacing with respect to the restricting member (front link 78, rear link 88) in the extending direction of the output shaft 44. In other words, the circular saw body 20 is supported by the restricting member so that it can tilt with respect to the base 12 such that, when the circular saw body 20 tilts with respect to the restricting member (front link 78, rear link 88) rotating with respect to the base 12, the circular saw body 20 relatively displaces in the direction orthogonal to the extending direction of the output shaft 44.This prevents the guide axes (73, 74, 83, 84) in the circular arc guide sections from moving in the extension direction of the output shaft 44 during tilting, thereby preventing excessive contact between the guide axes and the guide sections. Consequently, when the tilting mechanism 60 is actuated, appropriate rotation of the front tilt plate 72 (and rear tilt plate 82) is possible, and the circular saw body 20 can be tilted even more smoothly.

[0082] If the front connecting piece 78 on the front tilt mechanism section 70 were eliminated, the displacement of the inner guide shaft 73 and the outer guide shaft 74 on the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D (particularly in the extension direction of the output shaft 44) would not be restricted. The same applies to the rear tilt mechanism section 80.For example, if the circular saw body 20 is displaced relative to the base 12 in the extension direction of the output shaft 44 when the tilting mechanism 60 is operated, or if a positional deviation in the left-right direction occurs between the front tilting plate 72 and the rear tilting plate 82, actuating a portion of the guide axes (73, 74, 83, 84) into the guide portion in a direction intersecting the circular arc (guide direction) would result in excessive contact between the inner surface of the guide portions and the guide axes, so that the circular saw body 20 could no longer be operated smoothly.

[0083] Therefore, the front link 78 (rear link 88) is provided on the front tilt mechanism portion 70 (rear tilt mechanism portion 80), which engages with the front tilt plate 72 (rear tilt plate 82) in the left-right direction (extending direction of the output shaft 44). Therefore, the front link 78 (rear link 88) can restrict displacement of the inner guide axis 73 and the outer guide axis 74 (inner guide axis 83 and outer guide axis 84) in the longitudinal direction of the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D (inner guide groove 81C and outer guide groove 81D) (mainly in the left-right direction). In addition, the front link 78 (rear link 88) is rotatably coupled to the front guide 71 (rear guide 81) about the axis line AL.Therefore, the inner guide shaft 73 and the outer guide shaft 74 (inner guide shaft 83 and outer guide shaft 84) shift in the left-right direction in the longitudinal direction of the inner guide groove 71C and the outer guide groove 71D (inner guide groove 81C and outer guide groove 81D) according to the displacement amount of the front guide 71 (rear guide shaft 81) rotating around the axis line AL. As a result, when the tilting mechanism 60 is operated, relative displacement of the circular saw body 20 with respect to the base 12 in the direction of the output shaft 44 and positional deviation in the left-right direction between the front tilting plate 72 and the rear tilting plate 82 can be prevented. Consequently, when the tilting mechanism 60 is operated, appropriate rotation of the front tilting plate 72 and the rear tilting plate 82 is possible, and the tilting operation of the circular saw body 20 can be tilted even more smoothly. The invention of restricting the actuation of the guide axes by the restricting element (front link 78, rear link 88) is also applicable to configurations in which the radius of curvature of the circular arc-shaped guide section is constant, and is particularly advantageous for a circular saw with a tilting mechanism with a virtual tilt axis.

[0084] The front link 78 (rear link 88) is made of a sintered metal, which is iron, and the front guide 71 (rear guide 81) is made of aluminum. Therefore, the mechanical strength of the front link 78 (rear link 88) is higher than that of the front guide 71 (rear guide 81). Therefore, the wear resistance of the front link 78 (rear link 88) can be increased, and the durability of the tilt mechanism 60 can be improved.

[0085] The front link 78 (rear link 88) is impregnated with lubricating oil. This further increases the wear resistance of the front link 78 (rear link 88) and further improves the durability of the tilt mechanism 60. In particular, since the sliding between the connecting holes 78A (connecting holes 88A) and the inner guide shaft 73 and the outer guide shaft 74 (inner guide shaft 83 and outer guide shaft 84) is facilitated by the lubricating oil, frictional wear can be limited, and deterioration of operation due to excessive frictional resistance can be prevented.Since the front link 78 (rear link 88) is inserted between the circular saw body 20 (front tilt plate 72) and the base 12 (front guide 11), the resistance (frictional resistance) is reduced during the relative displacement of the two. While the invention stated above that the cutting performance can be improved by changing the curvature radius of the guide grooves, the frictional resistance reduction mechanism provided by the front link 78 (rear link 88) can also be applied independently of the invention of changing the curvature radius of the guide grooves.
