Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The invention relates to the field of technology, in particular to medical technology and veterinary technology, in particular to the animal model for veterinary and medical practice. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] In the study of veterinary medicine, animal nursing, veterinary technology, nursing, and human medicine by university students, as well as by instructors in veterinary medicine, animal nursing, veterinary technology, human medicine, and nursing, a variety of clinical skills must be demonstrated and practiced to examine and treat both animals and humans. Some examples of practicing clinical skills include: 1. Taking blood samples; 2. Intravenous puncture for fluid supply (saline solution) and intravenous injections; 3. Intramuscular injection training; 4. Practice of ear cleaning; 5. Palpation of the pulse; 6. Insert a thermometer to measure body temperature; 7. Endotracheal intubation and general anesthesia; 8. Nasopharyngeal intubation; 9. Intubation for endoscopy of the upper respiratory tract; 10. Nasogastric intubation; 11. Intubation for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy; 12. Urinary catheterization in men; 13. Urinary catheterization in women; 14. Resuscitation of the patient;

[0003] Currently, training in veterinary medicine, animal care, veterinary technology, human medicine, and nursing involves the demonstration and practice of clinical skills on live animals, such as dogs or cats, in laboratory settings. However, this approach presents several disadvantages and challenges, including the following: 1. In such demonstrations and practical sessions, the presence of numerous students makes it practically impossible to adequately prepare laboratory animals or allow each student to experience real patient interactions (with humans). Therefore, it is impossible to prepare enough laboratory animals for all students, making it impossible for all students to practice clinical skills. This may result in some students lacking sufficient expertise when required to perform actual physical examinations and treatments. 2. In addition, laboratory animals or patients (humans) used for the practice of clinical skills may be exposed to stress and discomfort. Owners of laboratory animals may also be concerned about the welfare of the animals and patients.

[0004] Efforts have been made to alleviate these problems by creating three-dimensional models that replicate animal organs, including humans, for use as teaching and learning tools, as well as for veterinary and medical practice. These models include a three-dimensional model of each individual organ and three-dimensional full-body models of animals or humans. These models are primarily made of synthetic materials such as resins, fiberglass, and / or silicone.

[0005] However, there are also limitations. First, current three-dimensional models mostly focus on depicting individual body parts, or, when they are three-dimensional models for practicing clinical skills, their functionality is very limited. Such three-dimensional models can only facilitate the practice of a very narrow range of clinical skills, perhaps just one or two. As a result, the use of three-dimensional models for teaching and practicing clinical skills in veterinary medicine has become ineffective.

[0006] Secondly, the materials used for three-dimensional modeling lack the flexibility and lifelike softness of real animal or human skin, including the surfaces of various organs.

[0007] Thirdly, the materials used are synthetic and not natural.

[0008] Fourthly, such materials have to be imported from abroad and are expensive.

[0009] This invention aims to solve the above-mentioned disadvantages of the prior art by providing a virtual animal model for veterinary and medical practice that is similar in size to a real animal and contains essential internal organs within a body frame, enabling the practice of a wide variety of clinical skills. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0010] An animal model for veterinary and medical practice, comprising a set of internal organs and a body frame, wherein the set of internal organs is arranged within the body frame, wherein the set of internal organs comprises internal organs comprising lungs, stomach and a set of urinary and reproductive organs, wherein all internal organs are attached to one another and wrapped with pararubber.

[0011] The body frame comprises a head and neck part, a body part, and a leg part that are connected to each other, the head and neck part including ears, a nose with a nasal cavity, a mouth with an oral cavity, a pharyngeal structure, a trachea, and an esophagus, the nasal cavity and the oral cavity being connected to the pharyngeal structure, the trachea, and the esophagus, another end of the trachea being connected to the lungs, and another end of the esophagus being connected to the stomach. The body part includes an interior space comprising a thoracic cavity, an abdominal cavity, and a pelvic cavity for supporting the internal organs. A leg part supports the head and neck part and the body part, the leg part including at least two legs. The animal model for veterinary and medical practice is made primarily of natural rubber, the preferred natural rubber being para rubber.

[0012] The aim of this invention is to provide an animal model for veterinary and medical practice that can enable the practice of important clinical skills through at least three openings. If the practice of clinical skills is required for each opening or for all three openings together, this can also be done, comprising from the head and neck part through the oral cavity, where the medical devices can be inserted, to the lungs located in the thoracic cavity, or to the stomach located in the abdominal cavity; from the nasal cavity, where the medical device can be inserted to the lungs or stomach within the body frame; and from the openings of the male urinary organs, the medical devices can be inserted to the urinary bladder located in the pelvic cavity.

[0013] Another goal is to provide animal models for veterinary and medical practice made of natural rubber, especially para rubber. Thailand is a raw material source and an important source of para rubber in the world, which allows the animal model to have a contact surface close to that of real animal skin and, with the main material being para rubber, which is inexpensive, thus also reducing the production costs of the animal model for veterinary and medical practice.

[0014] Another object of this invention is to provide an animal model for veterinary and medical practice that can enable the practice of a variety of clinical skills, including: - Endotracheal intubation and general anesthesia; - Intubation for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy; - Nasogastric intubation; - Nasopharyngeal intubation; - Intubation for endoscopy of the upper respiratory tract; - urinary catheterization in men; - Inserting a mercury thermometer to measure body temperature in the anus; - Intramuscular injection; - Practice of ear cleaning; - Taking blood samples from the foreleg; - Taking blood samples from the hind leg; - Taking blood samples from the neck area; - Palpation of the pulse in the groin area; - Taking blood samples from the foreleg; - Resuscitation of sick animals.

[0015] Another object of this invention is to provide animal models for veterinary and medical education that can enable the practice of a variety of clinical skills in veterinary medicine and have a contact surface that approximates real animal skin.

[0016] Another aim is to provide the animal model for veterinary and medical practice for use in more efficient teaching and learning for practicing clinical skills in veterinary medicine and medicine, reduce the use of real animals or humans, which is very beneficial to the educational field of veterinary medicine and medicine (human), thereby training veterinarians, doctors (human) and related personnel to be competent in practicing clinical skills in veterinary medicine, which will be further useful for human diagnosis and treatment.

[0017] The concept of this invention can also be applied to a human model made of para rubber for medical training.

[0018] Further advantages of this invention are set forth in the detailed description of the present invention. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
