Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a luminaire, in particular a street luminaire, having a luminaire head and a luminaire base, wherein the luminaire head can be plugged together with the luminaire base.

[0002] Luminaires of the type mentioned above are generally known from the state of the art. Particularly for maintenance or servicing purposes, it may be necessary to detach the luminaire head from the luminaire base, at least temporarily. However, there are luminaire types where the luminaire head is difficult to reach, for example because it is located out of reach of people. This applies, for example, to street lights, which are usually mounted at a great height to ensure good illumination of paths and streets. Indoor lights can also sometimes be difficult to access – for example, because they are mounted high up – such as ceiling or wall lights in a warehouse, an atrium, or another type of room with high ceilings or walls.

[0003] Elevator pendant lights are known in which a light head can be adjusted in height using a pulley system. There are also solutions that secure the light head with a cable to prevent falls. However, since the light head attached to the cable rotates freely in space, these solutions do not allow for a defined alignment and fastening of the light head. Particularly with the latter lights, when mounted using a light support, the light head must be additionally manipulated (e.g., aligned and screwed tight) in order to maintain its defined operating position or beam direction when mounted. Additional cranes, scaffolds, lifting platforms, or ladders are often used for this purpose, allowing a technician to ultimately correctly align and fasten the head.

[0004] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a luminaire of the type mentioned at the outset, by means of which the assembly and preferably also the disassembly of a luminaire head with respect to its luminaire base is simplified, in particular for maintenance and service purposes.

[0005] This problem is solved by the subject matter of the independent claim. The dependent claims develop the central idea of the present invention in a particularly advantageous manner.

[0006] According to a first aspect, the present invention relates to a luminaire comprising a luminaire head with a first fastening section. The luminaire further comprises a luminaire base for supporting the luminaire head, wherein the luminaire base has a second fastening section. The first fastening section and the second fastening section can be plugged together along a fastening axis into a plug-in position in order to supportively fasten the luminaire head to the luminaire base. The first fastening section and the second fastening section each have a corresponding shape such that the fastening sections can be plugged together into the plug-in position only in a single relative angular position around the fastening axis. The luminaire further comprises a pull rope which is fastened to the luminaire head and guided from the outside through the luminaire base in such a way that when an end of the pull rope distal from the luminaire head (i.e., for example, a section of the pull rope guided through the luminaire base) is pulled away from the luminaire head, the first fastening section and the second fastening section are (can be) moved or are movable into the plug-in position.

[0007] In the context of the present invention, a "haul rope" is understood to mean, in particular, any elongated element that is sufficiently strong under tension and generally flexible when slackened. The haul rope can, for example, be formed by at least one band, thread, rope, cord, string, leash, cable, wire, or other corresponding elongated element, or a combination thereof. For example, the haul rope can also be formed from several—preferably similar—of the aforementioned elements; for example, the haul rope can consist of twisted or braided natural or synthetic fibers or wires.

[0008] The luminaire according to the invention thus ensures that, when the fastening sections reach their plug-in position, the luminaire head automatically has or maintains its desired operating orientation with respect to the fastening axis relative to the luminaire base - namely the only relative angular position around the fastening axis. In this way, additional measures for the defined alignment of the luminaire head to the luminaire base are omitted, which significantly simplifies installation. Since this is achieved via a pull cable, a simple mechanism can be provided for plugging together but also for lowering a luminaire head when necessary. Since the pull cable is attached to the luminaire head and guided over the luminaire base, the luminaire head is also safe and, preferably, fall-proof.The pull cord also makes it possible to easily attach a light head to a hard-to-reach light base and simultaneously align it – preferably automatically – in a defined manner, for example, in the case of a high-mounted street, ceiling, or wall light. This allows for safe, easy, and precise mounting and dismounting of the corresponding light heads and their light bases.

[0009] The pull cord attached to the light head can preferably be attached to the first fastening section. This allows for a clearly defined attachment point for the pull cord, which also provides a stable support for the pull cord. Furthermore, the pull cord can engage directly with the fastening section and thus with the section used for plugging together in the plug-in position, enabling particularly simple and effective installation.

[0010] The pull cable routed from the outside through the lamp base can preferably be routed through the second fastening section. This allows for easy guidance of the pull cable, particularly through a stable component, as this serves to support the lamp head. Furthermore, the lamp head can be effectively plugged into the lamp base, as the pull cable routed through the second fastening section guides the lamp head or its first fastening section in a targeted and effective manner to the second fastening section, thus guiding both into the plug-in position.

[0011] A counterweight can preferably be provided at the distal end of the pull cable. The counterweight can facilitate operation because the counterweight counteracts the weight of the light head accordingly. The counterweight can preferably have a weight that is essentially the same as or greater than that of the light head. This allows the pull cable to preferably be kept in balance (with appropriate weight) or to push / pre-tension the light head towards the light base and thus preferably push the fastening sections towards their plug-in position or hold / pre-tension them in their plug-in position. This allows the light head to be held securely, which not only simplifies assembly but also makes it safer.

[0012] The traction cable is preferably provided or can be provided in such a way that, in the plug-in position, the first fastening section is pulled under tension along the fastening axis in the direction of the second fastening section. In this way, the plug-in position can be securely maintained. This function can be set or achieved, for example, by the counterweight described above. It is also conceivable to provide other measures to keep the traction cable under tension. For example, it is conceivable to apply a corresponding tension load to the traction cable after the plug-in position has been reached and then to fasten it (e.g. by winding it around a fastening point). It is also conceivable to set up a movement mechanism of the traction cable, which will be described below, so that it keeps the traction cable under tension in the plug-in position.

[0013] The pull cable can preferably comprise or be an electrical cable, particularly preferably for operating and / or controlling the light head. On the one hand, an electrical cable can be provided simultaneously with the pull cable, thus making it easy to provide the associated functions. If the pull cable itself is designed as an electrical cable, which preferably serves to operate or control the light head, the function of a corresponding cable can be combined in the pull cable itself, which in turn saves components and thus costs.

[0014] In principle, the pull cable – whether with or without an electrical cable – can be designed as a single piece or in multiple pieces. With a multi-piece design, the pull cable can be routed over the same or over two or more points or sections of the luminaire base or the second fastening section. If the pull cable is routed over multiple points or sections, this can preferably already achieve a certain pre-alignment of the luminaire head with respect to the luminaire base or the first fastening section with respect to the second fastening section with regard to the (single) relative angular position, which further simplifies plugging into the plug-in position and thus assembly.

[0015] The distal end of the pull cable is preferably attached or attachable to a movement mechanism (as previously mentioned) for pulling the pull cable through the luminaire base—preferably through the second fastening section. In this way, the movement of the pull cable toward or away from the plug-in position of the fastening sections can be easily enabled and preferably also carried out in a defined manner. This, in turn, can further facilitate assembly.

[0016] The movement mechanism preferably has a winding device, via which the pull cable can be selectively wound and unwound to pull the pull cable through the lamp base—preferably through the second fastening section. This provides a particularly simple and space-saving yet effective movement mechanism.

[0017] The movement mechanism can preferably comprise a telescopic device that can be selectively extended and retracted to pull the pull cable through the lamp base—preferably through the second fastening section. This provides a particularly compact and stable, collapsible movement mechanism that enables effective extension and retraction.

[0018] In principle, the several types of movement mechanisms can exist alone or in combination.

[0019] The movement mechanism can preferably be manually driven or drivable. This provides a particularly easy-to-drive movement mechanism.

[0020] In addition to or as an alternative to manual drive, the movement mechanism can also be electrically driven or drivable. This allows the movement mechanism to be driven particularly easily and, preferably, in a defined manner (e.g., at different drive speeds). An electrically driven movement mechanism is particularly advantageous when the movement mechanism or the pull rope is not, or only with difficulty, accessible to an operator.

[0021] The manual drive and the electric drive can also be combined. This can be used, for example, to provide redundant drive for the movement mechanism. For example, the manual drive can be used as an emergency drive in the event of a failure of the electric drive or a power failure.

[0022] Preferably, the electrically driven movement mechanism can also be operated remotely, which further increases the functionality of the luminaire. This allows the movement mechanism to be stored in hard-to-reach areas (e.g., inside the luminaire). The movement mechanism can also be located near the second mounting section, allowing the movement mechanism and the pull cable to be made smaller or shorter overall, saving space and costs. This also reduces potential friction losses caused by the pull cable.

[0023] In the plug-in position, the first fastening section and the second fastening section can preferably be connected by a force-locking and / or magnetic connection. With a force-locking connection, the fastening sections can be connected, for example, by a press fit and / or a corresponding friction surface. A magnetic connection can be used regardless of the surface or material to enable defined securing in the plug-in position. Connecting the fastening sections by a force-locking and / or magnetic connection enables secure attachment of the luminaire head to the luminaire base. These two connection types—and, in principle, other connection types as well—can be used individually or in combination.

[0024] The corresponding shapes are preferably designed such that they form an asymmetrical fit in the plug-in position. The two fastening sections thus each have an asymmetrical shape that is coordinated with one another—i.e., correspond to one another—in such a way that they fit together clearly in the plug-in position. The asymmetrical fit makes it easy to provide the unique—i.e., only—relative angular position between the fastening sections and thus preferably also between the luminaire head and the luminaire base.

[0025] The corresponding shapes are preferably designed such that, upon contact with each other, the first fastening section and the second fastening section automatically rotate relative to each other with respect to the fastening axis into the defined, single relative angular position when pulled and / or moved toward the plug-in position. Thus, the corresponding shape can be used to assist in (automatically) achieving the unique relative angular position, which further simplifies assembly.

[0026] The first fastening section can preferably be designed as a projection, and the second fastening section as a recess corresponding to the projection. This allows for a simple plug-in configuration. The lamp head, which is usually guided to the lamp base, can thus be easily inserted with its projection into the recess of the lamp base to reach the plug-in position.

[0027] Alternatively, it is also conceivable that the first fastening section is designed as a recess and the second fastening section as a projection corresponding to the recess, if this is desired.

[0028] In principle, it is also conceivable for the first fastening section and the second fastening section to be formed as a hybrid of recess and projection or concave and convex sections in order to be pluggable into a corresponding plug-in position in the only relative angular position. For example, the first fastening section can have a central projection and projections (and / or recesses) distributed asymmetrically around it with respect to the fastening axis, and the second fastening section then has a central recess and recesses (and / or projections) distributed asymmetrically around it with respect to the fastening axis. Any other combination of concave and convex or other types of sections is also conceivable, provided they allow a plug-in position in only a single relative angular position around the fastening axis.

[0029] The projection can preferably taper or narrow towards its distal end to ensure easy insertion of the projection into a corresponding recess. The recess can similarly taper inwards towards its distal end or widen towards its insertion opening (i.e. the opening for inserting the other fastening section from the outside to achieve the plug-in position) to ensure easy insertion of a projection into the recess. If the projection tapers towards its distal end and the recess tapers towards its distal end in the same way, the two advantageous effects can be combined, while at the same time a particularly high degree of accuracy of fit in the plug-in position can be achieved. This also makes it possible to provide particularly secure and simple guidance for achieving the only relative angular position.

[0030] The first fastening section and the second fastening section can preferably have electrical coupling elements, so that in the plug-in position, the luminaire head is or can be electrically connected to the luminaire base via the electrical coupling elements. Thus, upon reaching the plug-in position, the luminaire head can be connected not only mechanically to the luminaire base, but also electrically (preferably automatically), which further simplifies installation.

[0031] The weight of the light head can preferably be selected such that the first fastening section and the second fastening section can be released from the plug-in position by the weight of the light head. This allows the light head to be easily released and lowered, for example, for maintenance or service purposes, even if it is difficult to access (e.g., if it is located at a high height).

[0032] The lamp head can preferably incorporate a light source. This allows the lamp to be provided ready for use. The light sources are preferably interchangeable, allowing the lamp to be equipped with different light sources as required, or to be replaced for maintenance or service purposes.

[0033] The luminaire head preferably has a light emission direction that, when plugged in, is aligned in a defined direction—for example, relative to the mounting axis. This defined direction can, for example, be a defined radial and / or axial direction relative to the mounting axis. The luminaire can thus be used for targeted or directed light emission. Particularly with such luminaires, the defined alignment in the only relative angular position around the mounting axis is highly noticeable, since this desired light emission direction can be easily adjusted or aligned once the plugged in position is reached.

[0034] In principle, the alignment in the plug-in position in the only relative angular position may also be desirable for other reasons, for example, to align the electrical coupling elements with each other. It is also conceivable to position housing parts of the luminaire in this way, for example, to adequately withstand weather conditions. This angular position may also be desirable for purely aesthetic reasons.

[0035] The luminaire can preferably further comprise a luminaire support. Such a luminaire support is, for example, a mast or a support arm. A mast can be provided, for example, for a street light. The mast can then be fastened, for example, in or on the ground and have the luminaire base or carry the luminaire head at its distal (upper) end. With a support arm as the luminaire support, wall or ceiling fastening can be enabled, for example. The luminaire base is then preferably provided on the luminaire support in order to position it easily at a defined position and, in particular, preferably at a defined height. The luminaire base can preferably be fastened or attachable to the luminaire support in a detachable or non-detachable manner.

[0036] The luminaire support can extend - preferably elongated - away from the luminaire base, so that the luminaire base and thus also the attachment location (defined, among other things, by the second attachment section) for the luminaire head can be placed accordingly in a distant area (e.g. above a street or at a distance from a house wall or room ceiling).

[0037] The light support can preferably be at least partially hollow. Thus, the light support can be provided in a way that is both lightweight and cost-effective, and preferably also particularly stable and torsion-resistant.

[0038] At least a portion of the pull cable can preferably be at least partially accommodated in the at least partially hollow light support and / or guided through the at least partially hollow light support. In this way, the pull cable can be arranged securely—for example, protected against vandalism. If the light has a movement mechanism, at least a portion of the movement mechanism can also be at least partially or completely accommodated in the at least partially hollow light support. Thus, the movement mechanism can also be provided in a securely protected manner. If the movement mechanism is designed, for example, as a telescopic device, it can preferably be guided or movable through the at least partially hollow light support.

[0039] Further advantages and embodiments of the present invention are described with reference to the figures of the accompanying drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a schematic representation of a luminaire according to the invention according to a first embodiment of the present invention in side view with its fastening sections in plug-in position, Fig. 2 a schematic representation of the lamp according to the invention according to Fig. 1 in side view with the lamp head lowered and thus with its fastening sections released from the plug-in position, Fig. 3 a perspective detailed view of the lamp according to the invention according to Fig. 1 with the fastening sections just before reaching the plug-in position, Fig. 4 a schematic side detail view of a luminaire according to the invention according to a second embodiment of the present invention with an embodiment of a movement mechanism in the form of a winding device, and Fig. 5 a schematic representation of a luminaire according to the invention according to a third embodiment of the present invention in side view with a further embodiment of a movement mechanism in the form of a telescopic device with at least partially lowered luminaire head and the fastening sections released from the plug-in position.

[0040] The figures show different embodiments of a luminaire 1 according to the invention.

[0041] As in particular the Fig. 1-3 and 5, the lamp 1 has a lamp head 2 with a first fastening section 4. As can be seen in particular from the Fig. As can be seen from Figure 3, the lamp head 2 can have lamps 6.

[0042] As well as the Fig. 1-3 and 5, the lamp 1 further comprises a lamp base 3 for supporting the lamp head 2.

[0043] The luminaire 1 can preferably have a luminaire carrier 7 on which the luminaire base 3 is provided (cf. Fig. 1-3 and 5). The luminaire base 3 can thus, for example, be formed integrally with the luminaire support 7 or be detachably or permanently mounted thereto, or be fastened or attachable in some other way. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the luminaire support 7 is designed, for example, as a mast. The luminaire 1 thus provided then forms, for example, a street light. It is also conceivable for the luminaire support 7 to be designed as a support arm, for example, to enable wall or ceiling mounting.

[0044] As shown in the figures, the lamp support 7 preferably extends away from the lamp base 3; this is particularly preferably elongated. In this way, the lamp base 3 can be easily arranged at a distance (e.g., at a defined height or at a defined distance from the floor / wall / ceiling).

[0045] The light carrier 7 can preferably be at least partially hollow, as shown in the schematic representations of the Fig. 1-5 is indicated.

[0046] The lamp base 3 has a second fastening section 5, as shown for example in the Fig. 1-3 and 5.

[0047] The first fastening section 4 and the second fastening section 5 are arranged along a fastening axis X in a plug-in position (see Fig. 1) can be plugged together to attach the lamp head 2 to the lamp base 3 as shown in Fig. 1 is shown.

[0048] The luminaire head 2 can preferably have a defined light emission direction L, which in the plug-in position is aligned in a defined direction with respect to the fastening axis X. This can preferably be a defined radial and / or axial direction with respect to the fastening axis X; in the present case with reference to Fig. 3 for example, a defined radial direction, namely downwards.

[0049] The first fastening section 4 and the second fastening section 5 each have a shape corresponding to one another, such that the fastening sections 4, 5 can only be inserted into the plug-in position (see Fig. 1) can be plugged together. This is clearly visible, for example, in the perspective view of the Fig. 3. As shown by way of example, the corresponding shapes can preferably be designed such that they form an asymmetrical fit in the plug-in position. This is achieved here, for example, by the fastening sections 4, 5 having the same shape (here once as a positive and once as a negative), which in this case is characterized by being wider horizontally than vertically and less curved upwards than downwards. Other configurations of the fastening sections 4, 5 and their corresponding shapes or asymmetrical fits are also conceivable.

[0050] The first fastening section 4 can, for example, be Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 5 is shown particularly clearly, for example as a projection and the second fastening section 5 can then be designed as a recess corresponding to the projection. It is also conceivable for the first fastening section 4 to be designed as a recess and the second fastening section 5 as a projection corresponding to the recess. A combination of the above is also conceivable, as long as the corresponding shapes are designed to be pluggable together in only a single orientation - as a single relative angular position around the movement axis X - wherein a corresponding alignment in the only relative angular position can preferably occur when brought together in the plug-in position. Corresponding concave and convex shapes are particularly preferred.

[0051] In the embodiment shown here, as in particular the Fig. 3 but also the Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 5, the corresponding projection (here, the first fastening section 4) can taper or narrow towards its protruding or distal end 40. It is also conceivable for the recess (here, the second fastening section 5) to taper or narrow inward towards its distal end 50; or, in other words, to widen towards its insertion opening 51 (i.e., the opening for inserting the other fastening section—here, the first fastening section 4—from the outside to achieve the plug-in position).

[0052] In the plug-in position (see e.g. Fig. 1), the first fastening section 4 and the second fastening section 5 can preferably be connected force-fittingly (e.g., by a press fit and / or a friction-inhibiting surface) and / or magnetically. Other connection types are also conceivable in principle.

[0053] The dead weight of the lamp head 2 can preferably be selected such that the first fastening section 4 and the second fastening section 5 are released from the plug-in position by the dead weight of the lamp head 2.

[0054] The luminaire 1 further comprises a pull cable 8. The pull cable 8 is fastened to the luminaire head 2 and guided from the outside through the luminaire base 3 in such a way that when pulled or by means of a tensile force Z (cf. Figure 3) at an end 80 of the pull cable 8 distal from the luminaire head 2, the first fastening section 4 and the second fastening section 5 move away from the luminaire head 2 into the plug-in position (cf. Fig. 1) can be moved.

[0055] The corresponding shapes of the fastening sections 4, 5 are preferably designed in such a way that the first fastening section 4 and the second fastening section 5, when pulled Z and / or moved in the direction of the plug-in position, rotate independently with respect to the fastening axis X relative to each other into the defined single relative angular position upon contact with each other (cf. e.g. Fig. 3). For this purpose, the corresponding shapes can, for example, have rounded and preferably approximately oval shapes around the fastening axis X. Other embodiments are also conceivable that enable automatic alignment of the two fastening sections 4, 5 and consequently preferably of the lighting elements comprising them—namely, the lighting head 2 and the lighting base 3—relative to one another.

[0056] The pull cable 8 attached to the lamp head 2 can preferably be attached to the first attachment section 4, as shown, for example, in the Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 5 is clearly visible.

[0057] The pull cable 8 guided from the outside through the lamp base 3 can preferably be guided accordingly through the second fastening section 5, as can be seen in particular from the Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 5. For this purpose, the second fastening section 5, which is formed here as a recess, can have an opening or be open at its distal - i.e., inner - end 50, for example; here, for example, towards the interior of the hollow lamp support 7, in or through which the traction cable 8 is guided.

[0058] At the distal end 80 of the traction cable 8, a counterweight 9 can preferably be provided, as shown by way of example in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. Preferably, the counterweight 9 has a weight substantially equal to or greater than that of the lamp head 2.

[0059] The traction cable 8 can preferably be provided in such a way - for example by means of the counterweight 9 - in the plug-in position (cf. Fig. 1) to hold the first fastening section 4 in tension along the fastening axis X in the direction of the second fastening section 5 (or the distal end 80 of the traction cable 8).

[0060] The pull cable 8 can preferably comprise or be an electrical cable, preferably for operating and / or controlling the light head 2. It is also conceivable that, in addition to the pull cable 8, an additional electrical cable is provided for operating and / or controlling the light head 2. Furthermore, it is conceivable that the pull cable 8 is constructed in several parts and, in this case, is guided from the outside through the light base 3 or its second fastening section 5 via one or preferably also (correspondingly) several points / sections.

[0061] The first fastening section 4 and the second fastening section 5 can preferably have electrical coupling elements 42, 52 (cf. Fig. 3), so that in the plug-in position (cf. Fig. 1) the luminaire head 2 is electrically connected to the luminaire base side via the electrical coupling elements 42, 52.

[0062] As exemplified in Fig. 4, the distal end 80 of the pull cable 8 may be attached to a movement mechanism 10 to pull the pull cable 8 through the lamp base 3 - preferably through the second attachment section 5.

[0063] The movement mechanism 10 can, as in Fig. 4, have a winding device 13, via which the pull cable 8 can be selectively wound up and unwound in order to pull the pull cable 8 through the lamp base 3 or its second fastening section 5.

[0064] The movement mechanism 10 can preferably also have a telescopic device 14, which can be selectively extended and retracted in order to pull the pull cable 8 through the lamp base 3 or its second fastening section 5 (cf. Fig. 5). For example, it is conceivable that the telescopic device—here in the vertical hollow lamp support 7—can be extended upwards and retracted downwards in order to pull or guide the pull cable 8 through the lamp base 3 or its second fastening section 5. Preferably, the distal end 80 of the pull cable 8 is attached to the extending upper distal end of the telescopic device 14.

[0065] The movement mechanism 10 can be manually driven, as shown in Fig. 4 as well as in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. For this purpose, a manually operated crank handle 11 or a cordless screwdriver 12 can be used (cf. Fig. 4). It is also conceivable that an operator, for example, pulls on the distal end 80 of the pull cable 8 or on the counterweight 9 or, in order to lower the lamp head 2, lets it loose or releases the pull cable 8 from a possible fastening point (cf. Fig. 1 and Fig. 2).

[0066] Alternatively or additionally, it is also conceivable that the movement mechanism 10 itself is electrically driven; thus, it has an electric drive (e.g., electric motor with gear).

[0067] In a particularly preferred embodiment, the electrically driven movement mechanism 10 can preferably be operated remotely. For example, the movement mechanism 10 can be operated on-site using a remote control. The remote control can be a device specifically provided for this purpose or a smartphone with a corresponding application. It is also conceivable that the movement mechanism 10 can be operated via cable or radio from a central control point. Other remote control measures are also conceivable.

[0068] At least a part of the traction cable 8 can preferably be accommodated in the at least partially hollow lamp support 7 and / or guided through it, as can be seen from the Fig. 1-5. Likewise, at least a part of the movement mechanism 10 can be accommodated in the at least partially hollow lamp support 7, as can be seen from the Fig. 4 and Fig.5 by way of example. The movement mechanism 10—here, for example, in the form of the telescopic device 14—can also be guided or moved through the at least partially hollow lamp support 7.
