Abstract
Description
SCOPE
[0001] The present invention relates to a cabinet for a switchboard or switch cabinet. In particular, the present invention relates to a switch cabinet equipped with a locking system. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] It is known that industrial control panels are housed in a metal cabinet.
[0003] Such cabinets can have generous dimensions depending on the size of the control panel housed within them.
[0004] In particular, the door leaves may be so large that they require multiple locking points along their edge, located in the area of the axis around which the door leaves rotate when opened.
[0005] Each locking point must be opened or closed by an operator using an appropriate key.
[0006] It is obvious that the locking devices for control cabinets known from the prior art, although widely appreciated and used, are not without disadvantages.
[0007] For example, to open or close a door leaf, all locking devices located on the leaf must be opened or closed. In this context, the door leaves can also be equipped with three or four locking devices, depending on the height of the door leaf.
[0008] In alternative solutions, instead of multiple locking devices, only one locking device is provided, positioned substantially halfway up the door leaf. In this case, especially when the door leaf is very high, the presence of only one locking device does not guarantee satisfactory closure at the ends of the door leaf.
[0009] Furthermore, with very tall door leaves, it is common for one of the locking devices to be mounted at a considerable height, making it difficult to reach. This difficulty is further exacerbated by people of short stature.
[0010] If the locking device is installed very low, it can also be difficult to reach, for example for people with limited mobility. PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION
[0011] It is therefore seen as necessary to at least partially resolve the disadvantages and limitations mentioned in the prior art.
[0012] It is therefore considered necessary to provide a cabinet locking device that is more practical in use than the prior art devices.
[0013] Furthermore, there is a need for a locking device that allows satisfactory closing at the ends of the door leaf with a limited number of manual actions by a user.
[0014] Furthermore, there is a need for a door leaf for control cabinets that can be easily closed or opened with a limited number of manual movements.
[0015] These requirements are at least partially met by a cabinet for a switchboard or switch cabinet according to claim 1. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0018] In Fig. 10 shows a control cabinet, the entirety of which is designated by the reference numeral 12.
[0019] The control cabinet 12 comprises a container module 14 with at least one front opening 16, 18 and at least one door leaf 20, 22 which is suitable for closing the front opening 16, 18.
[0020] Furthermore, the cabinet 12 comprises at least one locking device 24 and at least one deflection device (Italian: dispositivo di rinvio) 26, which can be arranged on the one container module 14 or on the at least one door leaf 20, 22, with their own inner tongues 30, 32 which are suitable for selectively engaging with a portion of the at least one door leaf 20, 22 or with a portion 28 of the one container module 14 when the at least one door leaf 20, 22 is in the closed position.
[0021] The inner tongue 30 of the locking device 24 is rotatable by means of an outer knob 34 which is arranged on the portion of the locking device 24 outside the container module 14.
[0022] The at least one locking device 24 and the at least one deflection device 26 are arranged with respective radial arms 36, 38, which are non-rotatably connected to the respective inner tongue 30, 32. Specifically with respect to the locking device 24, the outer knob 34, the radial arm 36, and the inner tongue 30 are non-rotatably connected to one another. The radial arms 36, 38 include radial ends 40, 42, which are connected to one another by at least one rod 44 via a hinge connection 46, 48.
[0023] Thanks to the structure just described, it is possible to control the movement of the deflection devices 26 by rotating the outer knob 34 of the locking device 24. Efficient closing of the door leaf of a control cabinet is thus achieved solely by rotating the locking device, without necessarily having to act on the deflection devices.
[0024] In the cabinets 12 shown in the attached figures, the locking devices 24 and the deflection devices 26 are provided on the door leaves 20, 22. However, as will be apparent to those skilled in the art, they can also be provided on the structure of the container module.
[0025] Furthermore, in the figures, in particular in Fig. 10, each door leaf 20, 22 is provided with a central locking device 24 and two deflection devices 26, one of which is arranged at the top and one at the bottom. As will be apparent to those skilled in the art, other arrangements are also possible.
[0026] According to a possible embodiment, the locking device 24 may comprise a hollow body 50 with an outer head 54 on which the outer knob 34 is arranged, an externally threaded shaft 52 and a clamping nut 56 which is suitable for engaging with the threaded shaft 52 in order to lock the sections near a hole of a door leaf 20, 22 into which the locking device 24 is inserted between the outer head 54 and the clamping nut 56.
[0027] The locking device 24 may include an inner rotating member 58 adapted to rotate relative to the body 50 on which the outer knob 34, the radial arm 36 and the inner tongue 30 are provided.
[0028] According to a possible embodiment, the distance between the rotation axis of the outer knob 34 and the rotation axis of the hinge connection 46 can be between 15 and 50 mm, preferably between 20 and 40 mm, more preferably in the range of 30 mm.
[0029] According to one possible embodiment, the deflection device 26 may comprise an externally threaded body 60 provided with a head 62 at one end and a threaded seat 64 at the other end. The deflection device 26 may comprise a screw 66 provided with a shank 68 having a threaded end portion 70 suitable for screwing into the threaded seat 64, as well as a cylindrical portion 72 on which the inner tongue 32 and the radial arm 38 can rotate, axially locked by the screw 66 itself.
[0030] The deflection device 26 may include a seal 74 adapted to be provided between the head 62 and the respective door leaf 22.
[0031] According to one possible embodiment, the deflection device 26 may comprise a spacer 76 provided between the body 60 and the inner tongue 32. The spacer 76 and the inner tongue 32 may be positively connected. In this context, the spacer 76 may, as shown in Fig. 5, have a groove 88 suitable for being coupled to a corresponding projection 90 provided on the inner tongue.
[0032] The inner tongue 32 may be of a type known per se. According to one possible embodiment, the inner tongue 32 may comprise a base portion 80 intended to be coupled to the body 60 during use, possibly by means of the spacer 76, and a protruding portion 324. Between the protruding portion 324 and the base portion, an axial portion 326 may be provided, which runs substantially parallel to the axis of the deflection device 26. In this way, the protruding portion may be substantially coplanar with the radial arm 38.
[0033] According to a possible embodiment, the radial arm 38 may have a seat 78 suitable for containing a base portion 80 of the inner tongue 32.
[0034] Advantageously, a washer 82 may be provided between the radial arm 38 and the head 69 of the screw 66.
[0035] According to one possible embodiment, the hinge connections 46, 48 may comprise a pin 84 provided on the radial arm 36, 38, suitable for coupling with a corresponding hole 86 provided on the rod 44, as well as fastening means 95 suitable for blocking axial sliding of the hole 86 relative to the pin 84. The fastening means 95 may, for example, be a Seeger ring.
[0036] The advantages that can be achieved with the control cabinet according to the invention are now obvious.
[0037] Firstly, a cabinet is provided in which closing the door leaf is made easier than with the state of the art. It is possible to act on just one locking device to also act on the deflection devices and thus securely close the door leaf.
[0038] In addition, the closing of the door leaf is satisfactory even at the ends of the door leaf with a limited number of operations by a user.
[0039] Furthermore, the door leaf of the control cabinet allows the door leaf to be closed at a height that is easy to reach, as it cannot be made too high or too low.
[0040] The above-described embodiments may be modified by a person skilled in the art to meet specific requirements and / or to replace the described elements with equivalent elements without thereby departing from the scope of the appended claims.
