Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a heat radiant device for installation close to the ground in animal breeding and animal husbandry, with - a lamp base designed to accommodate a heat lamp and to connect a supply line for the heat lamp and - a lamp housing that can be connected to the lamp base.
[0002] Radiant heat devices of the type mentioned above are used in a variety of configurations in the rearing of small animals and farm animals. The heat, typically generated by infrared heat lamps, serves, for example, to keep newborns warm and also supports the recovery of sick young and small animals. The heat lamp creates a nest-warming effect that supports the health, growth, and well-being of small animals and farm animals such as piglets, lambs, goats, chicks, and others.
[0003] To ensure animal health and the necessary hygiene, the areas where heat radiant devices are used, usually stables, must be cleaned regularly. To reliably remove all dirt, water is used. This water is directed onto the areas to be cleaned using a hose or high-pressure cleaner. If the heat radiant devices are not positioned at a sufficient distance from the stable floors, they must be removed before cleaning to prevent water and moisture from penetrating the heat radiant devices. The necessary deinstallation and subsequent installation work therefore significantly extends the cleaning process.
[0004] Based on this, the invention is based on the object of providing a heat radiation device whose moisture-sensitive parts are reliably protected against the ingress of water.
[0005] The invention solves the problem by a heat radiation device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
[0006] Characteristic of the heat radiation device according to the invention is a sealing sleeve made of a liquid-tight and elastic plastic or elastomer, which - rests on the outside at least in sections against the lamp base and - a lamp opening for the liquid-tight accommodation of the heat lamp and a supply opening for the liquid-tight accommodation of the supply line.
[0007] In the radiant heat device according to the invention, the lamp base, which is made, for example, of a ceramic material, serves to accommodate the contacts necessary for supplying power to the heat lamp. The heat lamp can be inserted into the lamp base, usually by screwing it in, and when inserted or screwed in, it rests against the contacts for supplying power to the heat lamp. The contacts, in turn, are connected to a power line. The lamp base is arranged in a lamp housing, from which the power line also leads and which is designed, for example, for positioning the radiant heat device in a stable.
[0008] According to the invention, the lamp base has a sealing sleeve surrounding it, which rests against the lamp base at least in sections on the outside, thus sealing the lamp base against external moisture influences and water ingress. The sealing sleeve, which is typically arranged on the lamp base during the assembly process of the heat radiation device, has a lamp opening and a supply opening.
[0009] The lamp opening serves to accommodate the heat lamp in a liquid-tight manner, i.e. it enables a fastening section, usually a threaded section of the heat lamp, to be passed through the lamp opening into the lamp base so that the heat lamp can be inserted or screwed into the lamp base through the lamp opening. The lamp opening of the sealing sleeve is designed such that when the heat lamp is in the position of use, i.e. when the heat lamp is inserted, e.g. screwed, into the lamp base, it lies liquid-tight against the heat lamp so that no moisture or water can penetrate into the area of the lamp opening of the sealing sleeve or into a base opening in the lamp base provided for receiving the heat lamp. In the position of use, the sealing sleeve therefore lies all the way around a sealing section of the lamp in the area of the lamp opening, which sealing section preferably extends over an area of the glass bulb of the lamp.
[0010] To prevent moisture or water from entering the lamp base in the area of the supply line, the sealing sleeve is provided with a supply opening designed to allow the supply line to pass through and receive the liquid-tight supply line. When the supply line is connected to the contacts of the lamp base for powering the heat lamp, the supply opening adjacent to the supply line prevents moisture or water from entering the interior of the sealing sleeve and thus preventing any resulting damage to the lamp base.
[0011] The sealing sleeve, which is continuous except for the supply opening and the lamp opening, prevents moisture from entering the area of the lamp base of the radiant heater. The supply opening allows a supply line to be routed to the lamp base in a liquid-tight manner. The lamp opening allows the heat lamp to be positioned in a liquid-tight manner on the lamp base in a use position, so that in this position the lamp base is fully protected against the ingress of damaging moisture or water.
[0012] Due to the sealing effect achieved by the sealing sleeve, the heat ray device according to the invention can thus remain in its operating position even during a cleaning process of a stable using water hoses and / or high-pressure cleaners, after the heat ray device according to the invention has been ensured that no damaging moisture or water comes into contact with the lamp base, especially with the live components. Using the heat ray devices according to the invention, cleaning a stable can thus be carried out much more easily and cost-effectively.
[0013] The sealing sleeve is made of a liquid-tight and elastic plastic or elastomer, whereby the elasticity ensures that the sealing sleeve can be arranged easily and securely on the lamp base. The material used to manufacture the sealing sleeve is fundamentally freely selectable. However, according to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the sealing sleeve is made of a silicone rubber, preferably of a silicone rubber made from hot-vulcanized silicone rubber. Such silicone rubbers are characterized by their high heat resistance and long-term temperature resistance in the range from -100°C to +250°C. This temperature resistance reliably prevents, among other things, embrittlement of the material due to temperature fluctuations, which could otherwise lead to leaks in the sealing sleeve.
[0014] The sealing sleeve is preferably attached to the lamp base during the assembly process of the heat ray device, unless the lamp base is already provided with a sealing sleeve. The sealing sleeve, which is dimensioned to match the lamp base, preferably slightly undersized, can be glued to the lamp base for increased clamping force resulting from the elasticity of the elastic plastic, ensuring secure positioning. However, according to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the sealing sleeve is detachably connected to the base. This embodiment of the invention makes it possible to replace the sealing sleeve if necessary, thereby increasing the service life of the heat ray device.
[0015] The design of the supply opening is fundamentally freely selectable, provided that it is designed in such a way that, in cooperation with a supply line arranged in the supply opening, it seals the interior of the sealing sleeve from the environment. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the supply opening has a cross-section adapted to the supply line. This is preferably a circular cross-section corresponding to the supply lines which usually have a circular cross-section. Such a design ensures a particularly high sealing effect and prevents the ingress of moisture and water into the interior of the sealing sleeve, where this could come into contact with the lamp base and the live lines arranged there.
[0016] A sealing arrangement of the supply opening on the supply line is achieved by a corresponding design of the supply opening with a smaller diameter of the supply opening compared to the outer diameter of the supply line, whereby a sealing arrangement is then achieved through the elasticity of the material of the sealing sleeve. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the sealing sleeve has an externally circumferential recess in the area of the supply opening for receiving a clamping means, in particular a clamping ring or a cable tie.
[0017] According to this embodiment of the invention, in addition to the sealing effect achieved by the material properties of the sealing sleeve, it is possible to clamp the supply opening to the supply line. For this purpose, a clamping means is arranged in the recess in the region of the supply opening, which, in the installed position of the supply line, runs coaxially with the latter. The dimensions of the recesses are selected in such a way, in particular the recess is wide enough to accommodate the clamping means, e.g., a clamping ring or preferably a cable tie, by means of which the sealing sleeve can be pressed particularly reliably against the outer casing of the supply line in the region of the supply opening. The recess prevents axial displacement of the clamping means, in particular cable ties, in the longitudinal axis direction of the supply line and thus ensures high positioning security and tightness between the supply opening and the supply line.
[0018] The design of the lamp opening is also fundamentally freely selectable, provided that it is ensured that, in the position in which the heat lamp is inserted, in particular screwed, into the lamp base, it rests against the heat lamp, preferably in the region of the glass bulb, in such a way that the interior of the sealing sleeve is sealed off from the environment. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, however, it is provided that the lamp opening, for the liquid-tight reception of the heat lamp, has an opening cross-section adapted to the heat lamp, in particular to the sealing section of the heat lamp, i.e. the section of the heat lamp against which the sealing sleeve rests in the region of the lamp opening when the heat lamp is inserted, in particular screwed, into the lamp base. This will usually be circular, since the heat lamp, orThe sealing section of the heat lamp typically also has a circular cross-section. This embodiment of the invention achieves a particularly reliable sealing effect between the sealing sleeve and the heat lamp, effectively preventing damaging moisture or water from entering the interior of the sealing sleeve.
[0019] The lamp housing serves to accommodate the lamp base and to arrange the radiant heat device at a predetermined position in a stable. The lamp base, provided with the sealing sleeve, can be connected to the lamp housing in any way. For example, the lamp housing can be designed to clamp the lamp base provided with the sealing sleeve. However, according to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the sealing sleeve has a recess on its outer side opposite the lamp opening for accommodating a fastening section of the lamp housing.
[0020] According to this embodiment of the invention, the sealing sleeve has a recess in the region of its outer side opposite the lamp opening, which faces the lamp housing. This recess serves to accommodate a fastening section of the lamp housing and is adapted to the latter for this purpose, preferably shaped accordingly. This embodiment of the invention enables a positive positioning of the lamp base provided with the sealing sleeve on the lamp housing, so that the positional stability of the lamp base with the sealing sleeve on the lamp housing can be reliably ensured.
[0021] Particularly preferably, the recess is arranged in the region of fastening means penetrating the sealing sleeve, in particular fastening screws for securing the lamp base to a fastening section of the lamp housing designed as a connecting piece.
[0022] According to this embodiment of the invention, the lamp base provided with the sealing sleeve is secured to the lamp housing via fastening means, in particular fastening screws, that penetrate the sealing sleeve. According to the further development, the penetration of the sealing sleeve occurs in the region of the recess with which the sealing sleeve, in the mounted position on the lamp housing, rests against the fastening section, preferably the connecting piece of the lamp housing.
[0023] This embodiment of the invention thus ensures that the fastening screws ensure a high degree of positioning reliability of the lamp base provided with the sealing sleeve on the lamp housing. At the same time, the penetration of the sealing sleeve in the area of the recess ensures that the sealing sleeve is reliably pressed against the fastening section of the lamp housing in the area of the penetration. This ensures that no leakage occurs despite the fastening screws penetrating the sealing sleeve, thus reliably preventing the penetration of moisture or water even in the area of the penetration.
[0024] Particularly advantageously, the recess is designed to match the mounting section of the lamp housing, in particular, it has a rectangular cross-section for accommodating a correspondingly rectangular connector of the lamp housing. This ensures that the connector rests flatly in the recess area for a sufficiently wide area around the penetration of the sealing sleeve, thus ensuring a high level of tightness.
[0025] The connector can particularly preferably have ridges or beads with rounded edges surrounding the openings for accommodating the fastening screws and protruding from the connector toward the lamp base. These annular ridges or beads press into the sealing sleeve, thus increasing the sealing effect in the area of the penetrations.
[0026] The connecting piece can be designed as an element extending between two webs. Alternatively, the connecting piece can also be formed by the end face of a web protruding from the inside of the lamp housing toward the lamp base, thereby achieving a particularly reliable and uniform contact of the connecting piece with the sealing sleeve.
[0027] According to a further embodiment of the invention, the lamp housing is further configured to accommodate a reflector and / or a fastening means. The reflector allows the heat radiation emitted by the heat lamp to be directed. A fastening means, e.g., in the form of an eyelet or hook, enables simple and reliable installation of the lamp housing, for example, in the area of a stable. By appropriately designing the lamp housing, additional means for fastening the lamp or a reflector can be dispensed with.
[0028] According to a further embodiment of the invention, the lamp housing is further provided with a through-hole and / or a strain relief for the supply cable. A corresponding through-hole ensures reliable routing of the supply cable, and the through-hole can also be additionally sealed from the environment, thereby providing additional protection against water or moisture.
[0029] Embodiments of the invention are explained below with reference to the drawings. In the drawings: Fig. 1 is a schematic representation, partly in section, of a first embodiment of a heat radiation device; Fig. 2 a perspective view of a sealing cover of the heat radiant device of Fig. 1; Fig. 3 a perspective view of the sealing shell of Fig. 2 in connection with a supply line and a connector of a lamp housing of the heat radiant device of Fig. 1; Fig. 4 is a schematic representation, partly in section, of a second embodiment of the heat radiation device and Fig. 5 a perspective view of the sealing cover of the heat radiant device of Fig. 4 in connection with the supply line and the connecting piece.
[0030] An embodiment of a heat radiation device 1a is shown in Fig. 1 in a schematic representation, partially in section. The heat radiant device 1a has a lamp housing 7a and a lamp base 2a, which is connected to the lamp housing 7a. To seal the interior of the lamp base 2a, the latter has a sealing sleeve 6a lying on the outside of the lamp base 2a. The lamp base 2a, with a base opening 18a, serves to accommodate a heat lamp 5a, which in Fig. 1 is shown in its position screwed into the lamp base 2a.
[0031] The sealing sleeve 6a is made of an elastic silicone material and has an inner diameter that is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the lamp base 2a. As a result, the sealing sleeve 6a rests against the outside of the lamp base 2a. The sealing sleeve 6a has a lamp opening 8a in the region of a base opening 18a of the lamp base 2a. A supply opening 9 serves to pass through a supply line 3. The lamp opening 8a serves to accommodate or pass through the threaded section of the heat lamp 5a, which is screwed to the lamp base 2a. The lamp opening 8a is designed such that, when the heat lamp 5a is screwed into the lamp base 2a, it rests coaxially against a sealing section 16a of the heat lamp 5a, so that in this area the interior of the sealing sleeve 6a is protected against the ingress of moisture and water by the interaction of the lamp opening 8a with the sealing section 16a.
[0032] The supply opening 9 serves to accommodate / pass through the supply line 3, by means of which the current-conducting contacts of the lamp base 2a are connected. The supply opening 9 lies on the outside against the cable sheath 4 of the supply line 3 and thus seals the interior of the sealing sleeve 6a in this area against the ingress of water and moisture. To ensure reliable contact of the supply opening 9 with the cable sheath 4 of the supply line 3, the sealing sleeve 6a has a circumferential recess 10 in the area of the supply opening 9, which serves to accommodate a cable tie 11, by means of which a sufficient clamping effect of the sealing sleeve 6a in the area of the supply opening 9 on the cable sheath 4 is ensured (cf. Fig. 2 and Fig. 3).
[0033] For fastening the lamp base 2a provided with the sealing sleeve 6a to the lamp housing 7a, the sealing sleeve 6a has a rectangular recess 12 on its outer side opposite the lamp opening 8a, which is adapted to a correspondingly designed connecting piece 14 which is connected to the lamp housing 7a via webs 19.
[0034] Two fastening screws 13 are used to secure the lamp base 2 provided with the sealing sleeve 6a. These screws penetrate the sealing sleeve 6a in the area of the recess 12 and are screwed into the webs 19 for fastening. The flat contact of the connecting piece 14 in the recess 12 ensures that it reliably presses the sealing sleeve 6a in the area of the recess 12, so that the penetrations of the sealing sleeve 6a are reliably sealed by the screws 13 in the area of the recess 12, so that no moisture or water can penetrate into the interior of the sealing sleeve 6a in the area of the penetrations.
[0035] Annular beads (not shown here) projecting from the connecting piece 14 in the direction of the sealing sleeve 6a, which are arranged coaxially to the screw openings on the connecting piece 14, press into the sealing sleeve 6a when screwed tight and ensure a high level of tightness in this area.
[0036] The supply line 3 is led out of the lamp housing 7a via a through opening 17.
[0037] A second embodiment of the heat radiation device 1b is shown in Fig. 4. This differs from the one shown in the Fig. 1 to 3, among other things, by another lamp base 2b. This has, adjacent to the threaded portion, an annular projection extending toward the heat lamp 5b, which, when the heat lamp 5b is mounted, is arranged coaxially with the latter. Analogous to the lamp base 2b, the sealing sleeve 6b is also correspondingly longer than the sealing sleeve 6a and extends to the lamp opening 8b of the lamp base 2b.
[0038] In the Fig.In the installation position of the heat lamp 5b shown in Figure 4, in which it is fully screwed into the base opening 18b, the sealing sleeve 6b with the lamp opening 8b rests against a sealing section 16b of the heat lamp 5b that is further away from the thread than the heat radiant device 1a, so that heat lamps 5b that have an opening in the area of the threaded section, as is the case with so-called PAR38 lamps, can also be used. The opening is covered and is located within the area covered by the sealing sleeve 6b.
[0039] In the heat-radiating device 1b, the connecting piece 14 is connected to a continuous web 15, which extends within the lamp housing 7b from an inner side facing the lamp base 2b to the lamp base 2b. A reflector 20, which is connected to a protective grid 21, is also arranged on the lamp housing 7b.
