Cross-reference to related application
[0001] This application claims the benefit of priority from Korean Patent Application Nos. 10-2024-0002423 and 10-2024-0002426, both filed on January 5, 2024, in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference for all purposes. Background1. Area
[0002] The present disclosure relates to a lamp for a vehicle. 2. Description of the state of the art
[0003] Generally, vehicles are equipped with various types of lamps, which have a lighting function to easily identify objects around the vehicles when driving at night and a signaling function to inform other vehicles or road users about the driving status of the vehicles.
[0004] Recently, automotive lamps are being developed in various shapes to enhance the aesthetics of vehicle exteriors, depending on the needs of users who value design. Specifically, automotive lamps are being developed that utilize technology to implement a surface-emission illumination pattern through an optical system that applies a design pattern.
[0005] However, due to the design pattern applied to the optical system that conventionally implements the surface-emission light pattern, the light transmittance is low, and therefore it is only used in certain lamps, such as taillights. Furthermore, the optical system that conventionally implements the surface-emission light pattern is limited in space and disadvantageous in terms of cost, as a separate lens or structure, such as a Fresnel lens, is added to improve uniformity.
[0006] Therefore, it is necessary to develop a surface emission optical system that ensures smooth luminance when implementing the functions of different lamp types, improves uniformity, and is also advantageous in terms of cost. Summary

Detailed description
[0032] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0033] First, the embodiments described below are suitable embodiments for understanding the technical features of a lamp for a vehicle of the present disclosure. However, the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described below, nor are the technical features of the present disclosure limited by the described embodiments, and various modifications can be implemented within the technical scope of the present disclosure. First embodiment
[0034] Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing a lamp for a vehicle according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing a cross section of a lamp for a vehicle according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 3 is a front view showing a front side of a circuit board part according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 4 is a front view showing a front surface of an optical resin layer according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, and Fig. 5 is a side view showing a side surface of an optical resin layer according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0035] Hereinafter, a configuration of a first embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the Fig. 1 to 5 are described in detail.
[0036] With reference to Fig. 1 to 13, a lamp 10 for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a circuit board part 100, a light source part, and an optical resin layer 300.
[0037] Hereinafter, for the convenience of description, a direction pointing from the circuit board part 100 to the optical resin layer 300 is defined as a first direction D1, a direction perpendicular to the first direction D1 and in which the optical resin layer 300 extends is defined as a second direction D2, and a direction perpendicular to the first direction D1 and the second direction D2 is defined as a third direction D3. With reference to the Fig. In the drawing shown in Figure 1, the first direction D1 may be a forward direction of the vehicle lamp 10, the second direction D2 may be a left / right direction, and the third direction D3 may be an up / down direction. However, the first direction D1 may not correspond to a traveling direction of the vehicle, and the second direction D2 and the third direction D3 may not correspond to the left / right direction and the up / down direction of the vehicle, depending on the installation of the vehicle lamp 10.
[0038] The circuit board part 100 may be configured to extend in one direction. For example, the circuit board part 100 may extend in the second direction D2 and be a printed circuit board (PCB).
[0039] The light source part comprises a plurality of light sources 200 mounted on a front side of the circuit board part 100.
[0040] In particular, the light source 200 is a component that generates and emits light, and various elements or devices capable of emitting light may be used. For example, the light source 200 may be a light-emitting diode (LED).
[0041] A plurality of light sources 200 may be installed on a front side of the circuit board part 100, spaced apart from each other along the second direction D2. However, the arrangement of a plurality of light sources 200 is not limited to this and may be variously changed according to a design specification of the lamp 10 for a vehicle.
[0042] The optical resin layer 300 is provided on a front side of the circuit board part 100 and is configured to cover the plurality of light sources 200.
[0043] In particular, the optical resin layer 300 may be configured to protect the light source part from external influences and ensure uniformity of the light emitted by the plurality of light sources 200. Furthermore, the optical resin layer 300 may serve as a light guide that guides the light emitted by the plurality of light sources 200 so that the light is emitted forward.
[0044] For example, the optical resin layer 300 may comprise a silicone resin composition. Specifically, the optical resin layer 300 may be formed by molding a silicone resin. Accordingly, the optical resin layer 300 may exhibit excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical properties.
[0045] The optical resin layer 300 includes an optical body 310 and a first total reflection optic 320.
[0046] The optical body 310 forms a body of the optical resin layer 300, and the light emitted from the light source 200 can be input therein. A surface of the optical body 310 may include a front side facing the first direction D1, a back side facing the circuit board part 100, and a side surface between the front side and the back side. The optical body 310 may extend in the second direction D2 to correspond to the circuit board part 100.
[0047] Furthermore, a light source receiving part 311 in which the light source 200 is received may be formed in the optical body 310. The number and position of the light source receiving part 311 may be configured to correspond to the number and position of the light source 200.
[0048] The first total reflection optical system 320 protrudes from the surface of the optical body 310 and is formed integrally with the optical body 310. It is configured to totally reflect the light emitted from the light source part to guide it to the front side of the optical body 310, and is provided in multiples.
[0049] The first total reflection optical system 320 is an element formed on the surface of the optical body 310 to increase the optical efficiency of the lamp 10 for a vehicle through total internal reflection and to achieve a uniform surface light emission pattern. Specifically, the first total reflection optical system 320 may be formed on the surface of the optical body 310 and may be formed at least on the front side of the surface.
[0050] Light incident on the optical body 310 and reaching the first total reflection optical system 320 can be reflected into the optical body 310 by total reflection and guided forward, or can be guided forward by re-reflection, so that the light is emitted forward. Accordingly, according to the present disclosure, optical efficiency can be increased, thus implementing a high-luminance surface emission image.
[0051] Furthermore, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first total reflection optic 320 may be formed integrally with the optical body 310. Specifically, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, during the manufacture of the optical body 310, the first total reflection optic 320 is formed together, as previously designed, on the surface of the optical body 310, so that the optical body 310 and the first total reflection optic 320 may be integrally formed.
[0052] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, an additional process or a separate lens to achieve uniform surface light emission may not be required because the first total internal reflection optic 320 is integrally formed with the optical body 310.
[0053] In this way, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the first total reflection optical system 320 is integrally formed on the surface of the optical body 310, so that optical efficiency and optical uniformity can be improved, whereby a surface light emission image with high luminance can be implemented.
[0054] Furthermore, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, since the first total reflection optical system 320 has an integral structure with the optical body 310, an additional process or a separate lens is not required, thus improving productivity and providing a cost advantage.
[0055] The first total reflection optics 320 may be formed on a front surface or a side surface of the optical body 310.
[0056] In particular, with regard to the Fig. 1 to 5, the first total reflection optics 320 comprise a front total reflection optics 321.
[0057] The front total reflection optical system 321 may be formed on the front side of the optical body 310 and may be configured to extend in the second direction D2 or the third direction D3. Furthermore, a plurality of front total reflection optical systems 321 may be provided and arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a direction that intersects an extension direction of the plurality of front total reflection optical systems 321.
[0058] For example, the front total reflection optics 321 may be configured to extend in the second direction D2, as shown in the Fig. 2, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5. The plurality of front total reflection optics 321 may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in the third direction D3, which is a direction that crosses the second direction D2.
[0059] However, the extension direction and arrangement direction of the front total reflection optical unit 321 are not limited to the above description and can be formed in various directions. For example, the front total reflection optical unit 321 can extend in the third direction D3, and the plurality of front total reflection optical units 321 can be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in the second direction D2. Furthermore, the front total reflection optical unit 321 can be formed to extend in a direction other than the second direction D2 or the third direction D3.
[0060] As described above, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, the plurality of front total reflection optics 321 are continuously arranged along one direction so that light can cause multiple total reflections in the optical body 310 and thus optical uniformity can be further improved.
[0061] However, with reference to the provisions of the Fig. 6 to 9, the first total reflection optics 320 comprise a lateral total reflection optics 322.
[0062] The lateral total reflection optics 322 may be formed on the side surface of the optical body 310 and may be configured to extend in the first direction D1 or the second direction D2. Furthermore, a plurality of lateral total reflection optics 322 may be provided and arranged to be spaced apart from each other to intersect an extension direction of the plurality of lateral total reflection optics 322.
[0063] For example, the lateral total reflection optics 322 may be formed on one side and an opposite side of the optical body 310 in the third direction D3. Furthermore, the lateral total reflection optics 322 may be formed to extend in the first direction D1, and the plurality of lateral total reflection optics 322 may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other along the second direction D2, which is a direction that crosses the extension direction.
[0064] In other words, with reference to Fig. 5 and Fig. 8, the lateral total reflection optics 322 protrude from a top and a bottom of the optical body 310. The lateral total reflection optics 322 may extend in the forward / backward direction, and the plurality of lateral total reflection optics 322 may be repeatedly arranged so as to be spaced apart from each other in the left / right direction.
[0065] Accordingly, the side total reflection optical system 322 can be formed to extend in a different direction (e.g., a cross direction) than the front total reflection optical system 321, and can be arranged in different directions. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve total reflection inside the optical resin layer 300 even when light is emitted at different angles from the light source part.
[0066] Then, the plurality of total side reflection optics 322 can be repeatedly arranged in the same shape while being formed at regular intervals. Accordingly, the optical uniformity of the lamp for a vehicle can be further improved.
[0067] In addition to the front total reflection optics 321, the optical resin layer 300 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure further includes a side total reflection optics 322, and the side total reflection optics 322 may be arranged in a different direction than the front total reflection optics 321, whereby the optical uniformity and the optical efficiency of the lamp 10 for a vehicle can be further improved.
[0068] Meanwhile, as described above, the shape of the first total reflection optical unit 320 may be formed into a beam shape extending in the first direction D1 or the second direction D2. That is, the first total reflection optical unit 320 may be formed to have the same cross section along the extending direction.
[0069] In the first total reflection optical system 320, a cross-sectional shape in a direction perpendicular to the extending direction of the first total reflection optical system 320 may be formed in an arc shape or a polygonal shape.
[0070] For example, with reference to Fig. 2, Fig. 5, Fig. 6 and Fig. 8, in the front total reflection optical system 321, a cross-sectional shape in a direction perpendicular to the second direction D2, which is an extension direction, may be formed in a trapezoidal shape. Furthermore, the plurality of front total reflection optical systems 321 may be formed in the same cross-sectional shape.
[0071] In addition, for example, as in the Fig. 6, Fig. 7 and Fig. As shown in Figure 9, the lateral total reflection optical unit 322 may have a cross-sectional shape in a direction perpendicular to the first direction D1, such as an arc or a semicircle. Furthermore, the plurality of lateral total reflection optical units 322 may be formed in the same cross-sectional shape.
[0072] In this way, the plurality of side total reflection optical systems 322 and the plurality of front total reflection optical systems 321 are formed in a bar shape extending in one direction, provided in multiples, and formed in the same shape, whereby uniformity can be ensured and optical efficiency can be increased compared with a matrix-like formation or a non-uniform shape.
[0073] However, the shapes of the front total reflection optical system 321 and the side total reflection optical system 322 are not limited to the illustrated embodiment and can be modified into various shapes as long as they can be formed into a beam shape.
[0074] Meanwhile, an embodiment of the present disclosure may additionally include an outer lens 400 provided on the front side of the optical resin layer 300.
[0075] The outer lens 400 may include a lens body 410 and a mounting part 430.
[0076] The lens body 410 defines the body of the outer lens 400, and a receiving space 411 can be formed in which at least a portion of the optical body 310 can be received in the first direction D1 and which is open towards the circuit board part 100.
[0077] The optical resin layer 300 may be completely housed in the housing space 411 of the lens body 410, or a partial region including the front side of the optical resin layer 300 may be housed therein. In the illustrated embodiment, a partial region of the optical resin layer 300 may be covered by the lens body 410. When a partial region of the optical resin layer 300 is housed in the lens body 410, the optical resin layer 300 may include a first region "I" housed in the housing space 411 and a second region II located outside the housing space 411.
[0078] The fixing part 430 may be formed in the lens body 410 and may be configured to be assembled with the optical resin layer 300. Furthermore, the optical resin layer 300 may include a mounting part 330 configured to correspond to the fixing part 430. Here, there is no limitation on the shape and assembly method of the fixing part 430 and the mounting part 330, and various methods can be used as long as the optical resin layer 300 and the outer lens 400 can be assembled.
[0079] For example, the fastening part 430 and the mounting part 330 may be formed at a point where the first region "I" and the second region "II" meet. However, the positions of the fastening part 430 and the mounting part 330 are not limited thereto.
[0080] In the Fig. 2 and 5 to 9, an example of the mounting part 330 and the fastening part 430 according to the present disclosure is shown, and in Fig. Figure 13 illustrates another example of the mounting part 330 and the fastening part 430 according to the present disclosure. However, the fastening part 430 and the mounting part 330 are not limited to an example different from the illustrated example.
[0081] With reference to Fig. 2 and 5 to 9, the mounting part 330 may include a mounting groove 331 formed concavely on the side surface of the optical body 310.
[0082] Furthermore, the fixing part 430 may include a fixing projection 431 formed at a rear end of the lens body 410 and protruding toward the receiving space 411 to be inserted into the mounting groove 331.
[0083] Specifically, the optical resin layer 300 and the outer lens 400 can be assembled when the fixing protrusion 431 is inserted into the mounting groove 331 during assembly. The fixing protrusion 431 can be formed continuously along a periphery of an opening of the lens body 410 and can protrude toward the receiving space 411. Furthermore, the mounting groove 331 can be concaved on a periphery of the side surface of the optical body 310 to match the shape of the fixing protrusion 431.
[0084] However, with reference to Fig. 13, the mounting part 330 may include a mounting projection 333 protruding from the side surface of the optical body 310.
[0085] Furthermore, the fixing part 430 may include a stopper projection 433 formed to be stopped by the mounting projection 333 to prevent the outer lens 400 from deviating from the optical resin layer 300 in the first direction D1.
[0086] Specifically, the mounting protrusion 333 may be continuously formed along a periphery of an opening of the lens body 410 and may protrude toward the receiving space 411. Furthermore, the stopper protrusion 433 may be formed at a position corresponding to the position of the fixing protrusion 431 and may be convexly formed along a periphery of the side surface of the optical body 310. The fixing protrusion 431 and the stopper protrusion 433 may be continuously formed, but may also be intermittently formed as long as they are formed at corresponding positions.
[0087] When the optical resin layer 300 and the outer lens 400 are assembled, the opening of the lens body 410 is elastically expanded, and thereby the stopper protrusion 433 is moved to a rear side of the mounting protrusion 333. When the stopper protrusion 433 is located on a rear side of the mounting protrusion 333, the opening of the lens body 410 is returned to its original state, and the stopper protrusion 433 is stopped by the mounting protrusion 333. Accordingly, the outer lens 400 cannot be separated from the optical resin layer 300.
[0088] An assembly performance of the optical resin layer 300 and the outer lens 400 can be improved by the configurations of the assembly part 330 and the fixing part 430. Second embodiment
[0089] Fig. 6 is a cross-sectional view showing a lamp for a vehicle according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. Fig. 7 shows a lamp for a vehicle according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure and is a plan view showing an upper surface of Fig. 6 shows, Fig. 8 is a view showing a side surface of an optical resin layer according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 9 is a plan view showing a top side of a Fig. 8 shows the optical resin layer, Fig. 10 shows an outer lens according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure and is a front view showing a front side of an outer lens, Fig. 11 shows an outer lens according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure and is a side view showing a side surface of an outer lens, Fig. 12 is a view showing a portion of a top surface of a Fig. 11 shown outer lens, and Fig. 13 is a view showing a modification of a lamp for a vehicle according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure, and is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a mounting part and a fixing part.
[0090] The Fig. The second embodiment of the present disclosure shown in Figures 6 to 12 differs from that shown in Figures Fig. 1 to 5 in that the first total reflection optics 320 additionally comprises a lateral total reflection optics 322 and the outer lens 400 additionally comprises a second total reflection optics 420. A Fig. The modification of the present disclosure illustrated in Fig. 13 shows a modification of the mounting part 330 and the fixing part 430 of the first and second embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0091] Apart from these differences, the second embodiment and the modification of the first embodiment of the present disclosure may include all the configurations of the first embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0092] According to the Fig. In the second embodiment of the present disclosure illustrated in Figures 6 to 12, the outer lens 400 may further include a second total internal reflection optic 420.
[0093] The second total reflection optics 420 can be integrally formed on at least one of the front surfaces 412 and side surfaces 413 of the lens body 410 and can be provided in multiples. The second total reflection optics 420 can be provided to guide light emitted from the optical resin layer 300 through total reflection.
[0094] Specifically, the second total reflection optical system 420 is configured to improve optical efficiency and uniformity by guiding light through total reflection, together with the first total reflection optical system 320 formed in the optical resin layer 300. A majority of the light emitted from the light source part and entering the optical resin layer 300 can be projected forward by direct light or total reflection. Furthermore, a portion of the light entering the optical resin layer 300 can pass through the optical resin layer 300 and reach the outer lens 400.
[0095] The second total reflection optical system 420 in the outer lens 400 can guide the light incident from the optical resin layer 300 forward through total reflection. Accordingly, the optical efficiency of the vehicle lamp 10 can be improved.
[0096] The lens body 410 may include a front surface 412 and a plurality of side surfaces 413. The second total reflection optics 420 may be formed on the front surface 412 or the side surface 413 of the lens body 410, or may be formed on both the front surface 412 and the side surface 413. For example, as in the illustrated embodiment, the second total reflection optics 420 may be formed on the side surface 413 of the lens body 410, that is, on one surface and an opposite surface in the third direction D3. However, the position of the second total reflection optics 420 is not limited thereto and may also be formed on the front surface 412 of the lens body 410.
[0097] For example, the second total reflection optical system 420 may extend in a direction that crosses a direction in which the first total reflection optical system 320 extends. Furthermore, a plurality of second total reflection optical systems 420 may be provided, and the plurality of second total reflection optical systems 420 may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a direction that crosses a direction in which the second total reflection optical system 420 extends.
[0098] For example, if, as in the illustrated embodiment, the second total reflection optical system 420 is formed on an upper surface and a lower surface of the lens body 410, and in the first total reflection optical system 320, the side surface total reflection optical system 322 formed on an upper surface and a lower surface of the optical body 310 extends in the first direction D1, the second total reflection optical system 420 may be formed to extend in the second direction D2. Furthermore, in this case, a plurality of second total reflection optical systems 420 may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a direction (e.g., the first direction D1) that crosses the second direction D2.
[0099] In this way, since the extension direction and arrangement direction of the second total reflection optical system 420 are formed at positions that cross the extension direction and arrangement direction of the first total reflection optical system 320 formed at an overlapping position, light emitted in different directions can be guided forward by total reflection. Accordingly, when the second total reflection optical system 420 is formed in the outer lens 400 as in the second embodiment of the present disclosure, optical efficiency and optical uniformity can be further improved compared to the first embodiment of the present disclosure in which the first total reflection optical system 320 is formed only in the optical resin layer 300. Third embodiment
[0100] Meanwhile, in the Fig. 14 to 21 illustrate a third embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0101] Fig. 14 is a perspective view showing a lamp for a vehicle according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 15 is a cross-sectional view showing a cross section of a lamp for a vehicle according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 16 is a front view showing a front side of a circuit board part according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 17 is a cross-sectional view showing a side cross section of a circuit board part according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 18 is a front view showing a front side of an optical resin layer according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 19 is a cross-sectional view showing a cross section of an optical resin layer according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 20 is a front view showing a front surface of an outer lens according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure, and Fig. 21 is a side view showing a side surface of an outer lens according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0102] With reference to Fig. 14 to 21, a lamp 10' for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a circuit board part 100', a light source part, and an optical resin layer 300'.
[0103] Hereinafter, for the convenience of description, a direction pointing from the circuit board part 100' to the optical resin layer 300' is defined as a first direction D1', a direction perpendicular to the first direction D1' and in which the optical resin layer 300' extends is defined as a second direction D2', and a direction perpendicular to the first direction D1' and the second direction D2' is defined as a third direction D3'. With reference to the Fig. In the drawing shown in Figure 14, the first direction D1' may be a forward direction of the lamp 10' for a vehicle, the second direction D2' may be a left / right direction, and the third direction D3' may be an up / down direction. However, the first direction D1' may not coincide with a traveling direction of the vehicle, and the second direction D2' and the third direction D3' may not coincide with the left / right direction and the up / down direction of the vehicle, depending on the installation of the lamp 10' for a vehicle.
[0104] The circuit board part 100' may be configured to extend in one direction. For example, the circuit board part 100' may extend in the second direction D2' and may be a printed circuit board (PCB).
[0105] The light source part comprises a plurality of light sources 200' mounted on a front side of the circuit board part 100'.
[0106] In particular, the light source 200' is a component that generates and emits light, and various elements or devices capable of emitting light may be used. For example, the light source 200' may be a light-emitting diode (LED).
[0107] A plurality of light sources 200' may be installed on a front side of the circuit board part 100', spaced apart from each other along the second direction D2'. However, the arrangement of a plurality of light sources 200' is not limited to this and may be varied according to a design specification of the lamp 10' for a vehicle.
[0108] The optical resin layer 300' is provided on a front side of the circuit board part 100' and is configured to cover the plurality of light sources 200'.
[0109] In particular, the optical resin layer 300' may be configured to protect the light source part from external influences and ensure uniformity of the light emitted by the plurality of light sources 200'. Furthermore, the optical resin layer 300' may serve as a light guide that guides the light emitted by the plurality of light sources 200' so that the light is emitted forward.
[0110] For example, the optical resin layer 300' may contain a silicone resin composition. Specifically, the optical resin layer 300' may be formed by molding a silicone resin. Accordingly, the optical resin layer 300' may exhibit excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical properties.
[0111] The optical resin layer 300' may include an optical body 310'. The optical body 310' forms a body of the optical resin layer 300', and the light emitted from the light source 200' may be input therein. A surface of the optical body 310' may include a front surface facing the first direction D1', a back surface facing the circuit board part 100', and a side surface between the front surface and the back surface. The optical body 310' may extend in the second direction D2' to correspond to the circuit board part 100'.
[0112] A light source receiving part 311' in which the light source 200' is received may be formed in the optical body 310'. The number and position of the light source receiving part 311' may be configured to correspond to the number and position of the light source 200'.
[0113] With reference to Fig. 15 to 17, the circuit board part 100' may include a circuit board 110' and a reflective protrusion 130'. The reflective protrusion 130' may protrude from the front of the circuit board 110' and may be provided in multiples to reflect light emitted from the light source part forward.
[0114] In particular, the reflective protrusion 130' can be formed in various shapes on the front side of the circuit board part 100'. For example, the reflective protrusion 130' can be formed by pressing the circuit board 110' to give a specific appearance. The reflective protrusion 130' can be formed to protrude from the front side while being pressed in a direction pointing from the back of the circuit board 110' to the front side.
[0115] However, the method for forming the reflective protrusion 130' is not limited to press molding, and various methods can be used as long as the reflective protrusion 130' can be formed on the front surface of the board 110'.
[0116] The light emitted by the light source, or the light emitted by the light source that propagates forward and is then reflected back to the rear, can reach the reflective protrusion 130', resulting in scattering, and thus the light can be reflected forward again. In this way, the reflective protrusion 130' can increase the optical efficiency of the lamp for a vehicle by reflecting the light that has propagated backward or the light reflected backward to the front.
[0117] In addition, a plurality of reflective protrusions 130' may be provided to further increase light scattering and thus improve optical uniformity.
[0118] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a surface-based light emission illumination pattern with high luminance can be implemented in the vehicle lamp because the optical efficiency can be increased and the light uniformity can also be improved.
[0119] Furthermore, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, since the reflective protrusion 130' is formed into a one-piece structure by press molding when manufacturing the circuit board part 100', an additional process or a separate lens is not required, whereby productivity can be improved and a cost advantage can be achieved.
[0120] Meanwhile, the optical resin layer 300' may further include a protrusion receiving portion 313'. The protrusion receiving portion 313' may be shaped to correspond to the reflective protrusion 130' and may be formed plurally on the optical body 310' to receive the plurality of reflective protrusions 130'.
[0121] Here, the position, shape, and number of the protrusion receiving portions 313' may be formed to correspond to the position, shape, and number of reflective protrusions 130'. By forming the protrusion receiving portion 313' in the optical resin layer 300', the circuit board 110' and the reflective protrusion 130' of the circuit board 110' can be protected.
[0122] Meanwhile, the reflective protrusion 130' may have a convex curved shape or a polygonal columnar shape.
[0123] Furthermore, the reflective protrusion 130' may, for example, have a width in the second direction that is greater than a width in the third direction. That is, the reflective protrusion 130' may be formed to extend along the second direction. Specifically, a cross-sectional shape of the reflective protrusion 130' in a direction perpendicular to the second direction may be formed into an arc shape or a polygonal shape.
[0124] In the illustrated embodiment, the cross-sectional shape of the reflective protrusion 130' is shown to be triangular. Here, the cross-sectional shape of the reflective protrusion 130' along the second direction may have the same shape. However, the shape of the reflective protrusion 130' is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. For example, a cross section of the reflective protrusion 130' in a direction perpendicular to the second direction may have various shapes, such as an arc shape, a rectangular shape, and the like.
[0125] Furthermore, with reference to Fig. 17, a cross-sectional shape of the reflective protrusion 130' in a direction perpendicular to the second direction may have a triangular shape, and the reflective protrusion 130' may include a reflective surface 131' and an inclined surface 132'.
[0126] The reflective surface 131' may be configured to face the light source part and may be configured to reflect the light emitted from the light source part. Furthermore, the inclined surface 132' may be provided in a direction opposite to the direction of the reflective surface 131' facing the light source part.
[0127] Specifically, among the protruding surfaces of the reflective protrusion 130', a surface facing the light source part may be referred to as a reflective surface 131', and a surface opposite to the direction facing the light source part may be referred to as an inclined surface 132'. Light emitted or reflected from the light source 200' may be scattered and reflected after reaching the reflective surface 131'.
[0128] For example, on a cross section perpendicular to the second direction, a length of the reflective surface 131' may be made larger than a length of the inclined surface 132'. Accordingly, an extension of a surface in a direction facing the light source may be made larger, and thus more light can be reflected. Accordingly, optical efficiency can be further improved. However, the size ratio between the reflective surface 131' and the inclined surface 132' is not limited to the above description.
[0129] Meanwhile, the circuit board part 100' may further include a printing layer formed by printing a reflective material on a surface of the reflective protrusion 130'.
[0130] By printing the reflective material on the surface of the reflective protrusion 130', the reflectance and re-reflection can be further increased, thus further improving the optical efficiency. A known reflective material can be used as the reflective material.
[0131] Meanwhile, the optical resin layer 300' may further include a plurality of air gaps 320' formed inside the optical body 310'. Furthermore, the plurality of air gaps 320' may be configured to guide light reaching the air gap 320' by total internal reflection.
[0132] Specifically, the air gap 320' may be formed inside the optical body 310' when the optical resin layer 300' is formed. Light entering the optical resin layer 300' and reaching the air gap 320' may be scattered to reflect light. Then, light that is completely internally reflected by the air gap 320' may be guided forward or may be guided to reach the total reflection optics 340', which will be described below. Furthermore, light reaching the air gap 320' may be light emitted from a light source or reflected light.
[0133] The shape of the air gap 320' is not limited, and the air gap 320' can be formed in various shapes to be scattered, reflected, or re-reflected as long as the propagation direction of the light can be directed forward.
[0134] For example, the air gap 320' may have a width in the second direction that is greater than a width in the first direction and a width in the second direction that is greater than a width in the third direction. That is, the air gap 320' may be configured to extend long in the second direction.
[0135] Accordingly, the air gap 320' can increase the reflectance of light emitted from a plurality of light sources spaced apart from each other in the second direction on the board part 100'.
[0136] Furthermore, a cross-sectional shape of the air gap 320' in a direction perpendicular to the second direction may be formed in a circular shape or a polygonal shape. In the illustrated embodiment, an example is shown in which the shape of the air gap 320' is triangular. However, the cross-sectional shape of the air gap 320' is not limited to the illustrated embodiment and may be formed in various shapes as long as the overall reflectance can be increased.
[0137] The shape of the air gap 320' can be formed depending on an illumination pattern. That is, the shape of the air gap 320' can be designed to be implemented as a desired pattern, taking into account the design of the illumination pattern.
[0138] Meanwhile, an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include an outer lens 400'. The outer lens 400' may include a receiving space 411' disposed on the front side of the optical resin layer 300' and receiving the optical body 310'.
[0139] The optical body 310' comprises a first region I' received in the receiving space 411' and a second region II' arranged outside the receiving space 411', and the air gap 320' may be formed in the second region II'.
[0140] The outer lens 400' may include a lens body 410'.
[0141] The lens body 410' defines the body of the outer lens 400', and a receiving space 411' may be formed in which at least a portion of the optical body 310' can be received in the first direction D1' and which is open toward the circuit board part 100'.
[0142] The optical resin layer 300' may be entirely housed in the housing space 411' of the lens body 410', or a partial region including the front side of the optical resin layer 300' may be housed therein. In the illustrated embodiment, a partial region of the optical resin layer 300' may be covered by the lens body 410'. When a partial region of the optical resin layer 300' is housed in the lens body 410', the optical resin layer 300' may include a first region I' housed in the housing space 411' and a second region II' located outside the housing space 411'.
[0143] For example, the air gap 320' may be formed in the second region II'. More specifically, the air gap 320' may be formed in a region adjacent to the light source part and not covered by the outer lens 400'. Accordingly, light in the first region I' may be completely reflected by the outer lens 400', and light in the second region II' may be completely reflected by the air gap 320'.
[0144] Accordingly, the ratio at which light entering the optical resin layer 300' is guided by total internal reflection can be increased. Accordingly, the optical efficiency of the vehicle lamp can be further improved. However, the position of the air gap 320' is not limited to the illustrated embodiment and may be formed, for example, in the first region 1'.
[0145] In addition, the outer lens 400' may additionally comprise a fastening part 430'.
[0146] The fixing part 430' may be formed in the lens body 410' and assembled with the optical resin layer 300'. Furthermore, the optical resin layer 300' may include a mounting part 350' configured to correspond to the fixing part 430'. There is no limitation on the shape and assembly method of the fixing part 430' and the mounting part 350', and various methods may be used when assembling the optical resin layer 300' and the outer lens 400'.
[0147] For example, the fastening part 430' and the mounting part 350' may be formed at a point where the first region I' and the second region II' meet. However, the positions of the fastening part 430' and the mounting part 350' are not limited thereto.
[0148] In the Fig. 15, Fig. 19, Fig. 21 and Fig. Figure 23 shows an example of the mounting part 350' and the fastening part 430'. For example, the mounting part 350' may include a mounting groove that is concavely formed on the side surface of the optical body 310'.
[0149] Furthermore, the fixing part 430' may include a fixing protrusion formed at a rear end of the lens body 410' and protruding toward the receiving space 411' to be inserted into the mounting groove.
[0150] Specifically, the optical resin layer 300' and the outer lens 400' can be assembled when the fixing protrusion is inserted into the mounting groove during assembly. The fixing protrusion can be formed continuously along a periphery of an opening of the lens body 410' and can protrude toward the receiving space 411'. Furthermore, the mounting groove can be concaved on a periphery of the side surface of the optical body 310' to match the shape of the fixing protrusion.
[0151] However, the shapes of the fastening part 430' and the mounting part 350' are not limited to the illustrated embodiment. For example, although not shown, the mounting part 350' may include a mounting protrusion protruding from a side surface of the optical body 310'.
[0152] Furthermore, the fixing part 430' may include a stopper projection formed to be stopped by the mounting projection to prevent the outer lens 400' from deviating from the optical resin layer 300' in the first direction D1'.
[0153] For example, the mounting protrusion may be formed continuously along a periphery of an opening of the lens body 410' and protrude toward the receiving space 411'. Furthermore, the stop protrusion may be formed at a position corresponding to the position of the fixing protrusion and may be convex along a periphery of the side surface of the optical body 310'.
[0154] Accordingly, the optical resin layer 300' and the outer lens 400' can prevent the outer lens 400' from separating from the optical resin layer 300' during assembly. Accordingly, the assembly performance of the optical resin layer 300' and the outer lens 400' can be improved by the configurations of the mounting part 350' and the fixing part 430'.
[0155] Meanwhile, in the Fig. 22 to 23 illustrate a fourth embodiment of the present disclosure. Fig. 22 is a front view illustrating a front side of an optical resin layer 300' according to a fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, and Fig. 23 is a side view illustrating a side surface of an optical resin layer 300' according to a fourth embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0156] The lamp for a vehicle according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure differs from the above-described third embodiment in that the optical resin layer 300' additionally includes a total reflection optic 340'. The fourth embodiment of the present disclosure may include all the configurations of the third embodiment of the present disclosure except for the differences described above. Detailed descriptions of the same configurations as the above-described configurations are omitted below.
[0157] According to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, the optical resin layer 300' may include an optical body 310' and a plurality of total reflection optics 340' protruding from the surface of the optical body 310' and formed integrally with the optical body 310'.
[0158] Furthermore, the total reflection optics 340' can be configured to guide light emitted by the light source part into the interior of the optical body 310' by total reflection.
[0159] The total reflection optics 340' is an element formed on the surface of the optical body 310' to increase the optical efficiency of the vehicle lamp 10' through total reflection and to achieve a uniform surface light emission pattern. Specifically, the total reflection optics 340' may be formed on the surface of the optical body 310' and may be formed at least on the front side of the surface.
[0160] Light entering the optical body 310' and reaching the total reflection optics 340' can be reflected into the optical body 310' by total reflection and guided forward, or can be guided forward by re-reflection, so that the light is emitted forward. Accordingly, according to the present disclosure, optical efficiency can be increased and optical uniformity can be improved, and accordingly, a high-luminosity surface emission image can be implemented.
[0161] Furthermore, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the total reflection optic 340' may be integrally formed with the optical body 310'. Specifically, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, during the manufacture of the optical body 310', the total reflection optic 340' is formed together with the previously designed surface of the optical body 310', so that the optical body 310' and the total reflection optic 340' may be integrally formed.
[0162] According to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, total reflection is performed inside the optical body 310' by the total reflection optics 340' to improve the optical efficiency and the optical uniformity, whereby a surface light emission image with high luminance can be realized.
[0163] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, since the total internal reflection optics 340' are integrally formed with the optical body 310', an additional process or separate lens may not be required to achieve uniform surface light emission. Accordingly, manufacturing efficiency can be improved and costs can be advantageous.
[0164] Meanwhile, as described above, the shape of the total reflection optical system 340' may be formed into a beam shape extending in the first direction D1' or the second direction D2'. That is, the total reflection optical system 340' may be formed to have the same cross section along the extending direction.
[0165] In the total reflection optics 340', a cross-sectional shape in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the total reflection optics 340' may be formed in an arc shape or a polygonal shape. However, the shape of the total reflection optics 340' is not limited to those described above.
[0166] Meanwhile, a surface of the optical body 310' may include a front side facing the first direction D1', a back side facing the circuit board part 100', and a side surface between the front side and the back side. Furthermore, the total reflection optics 340' may be formed on a front side or a side surface of the optical body 310'.
[0167] For example, the total reflection optics 340' can be designed according to the Fig. 22 and Fig.23 may include a front total reflection optic 340'. For simplicity, the front total reflection optic 340' and the total reflection optic 340' will be described below using the same reference numerals.
[0168] The front total reflection optics 340' may be formed on the front side of the optical body 310' and may be configured to extend in the second direction D2' or the third direction D3'. Furthermore, a plurality of front total reflection optics 340' may be provided and arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a direction that intersects an extension direction of the plurality of front total reflection optics 340'.
[0169] For example, the front total reflection optics 340' may be configured to extend in the second direction D2', as in the illustrated embodiment. The plurality of front total reflection optics 340' may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in the third direction D3', which is a direction that crosses the second direction D2'.
[0170] However, the extension direction and arrangement direction of the front total reflection optical system 340' are not limited to the above description and may be formed in various directions. For example, the front total reflection optical system 340' may extend in the third direction D3', and the plurality of front total reflection optical systems 340' may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in the second direction D2'. Furthermore, the front total reflection optical system 340' may be formed to extend in a direction other than the second direction D2' or the third direction D3'.
[0171] As described above, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, the plurality of front total reflection optics 340' are continuously arranged along one direction so that light can cause multiple total reflections in the optical body 310' and thus optical uniformity can be further improved.
[0172] In addition, although not shown, the total internal reflection optics 340' may additionally include a side total internal reflection optic.
[0173] The lateral total reflection optics may be formed on the side surface of the optical body 310' and may be configured to extend in the first direction D1' or the second direction D2'. Furthermore, a plurality of lateral total reflection optics may be provided, which may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other so as to cross an extension direction of the plurality of lateral total reflection optics.
[0174] For example, the lateral total reflection optics may be formed on one side and an opposite side of the optical body 310' in the third direction D3'. Furthermore, the lateral total reflection optics may be formed to extend in the first direction D1', and the plurality of lateral total reflection optics may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other along the second direction D2', which is a direction that crosses the extension direction.
[0175] In other words, the lateral total reflection optics may protrude from a top and a bottom of the optical body 310'. The lateral total reflection optics may extend in the front-back direction, and the plurality of lateral total reflection optics may be repeatedly arranged so as to be spaced apart from each other in the left-right direction.
[0176] Accordingly, the lateral total reflection optics may be formed to extend in a different direction (e.g., a crossing direction) than the front total reflection optics 340' and may be arranged in different directions. Furthermore, the plurality of lateral total reflection optics may be repeatedly arranged in the same shape while being formed at regular intervals.
[0177] Accordingly, even if light is emitted from the light source part at different angles, it is possible to induce total internal reflection within the optical resin layer 300'. This can further improve the optical uniformity of the vehicle lamp.
[0178] In addition to the front total reflection optics 340', the optical resin layer 300' according to an embodiment of the present disclosure further includes a side total reflection optics, and the side total reflection optics may be arranged in a different direction than the front total reflection optics 340', whereby the optical uniformity and the optical efficiency of the lamp 10' for a vehicle can be further improved.
[0179] According to the embodiment of the present disclosure, as described above, the optical efficiency can be improved while ensuring the uniformity, and thus a surface emission image with high luminance can be implemented.
[0180] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, an additional process or a separate lens for implementing a uniform surface light emission image is not required, and therefore there are fewer spatial restrictions and a cost advantage results.
[0181] The present disclosure provides at least one of the following effects.
