AI Technical Summary
Aquarium cabinets and shelves made of water-sensitive materials are prone to unnoticed water penetration through hairline cracks or defective adhesive joints, leading to potential damage and unnoticed water loss, with existing underlays failing to protect against substrate wetting.
A waterproof base design with integrated water leakage control, as illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, addresses the issue by preventing water ingress and ensuring timely detection of leaks.
The solution effectively prevents water damage to aquarium components by maintaining a waterproof environment and promptly alerting users to leaks.

Abstract
Description
Aquarium cabinets or aquarium shelves are in most cases made of water-sensitive materials, so that when slow, unnoticed wetting occurs, great damage can occur, even to the point of non-usability. Often, they are hair cracks or defective glue joints which allow relatively small amounts of water to pass through, which is why the water loss in the aquarium does not occur equally. There are numerous substrates for aquariums for compensating unevenness, for heat loss and for protecting the surface against scratches. However, these do not provide any protection against wetting of the substrate in the case of possible hair cracks and leaks. The timely detection of leaks is not guaranteed in this case. The invention described in the claim is based on the problem of making the floor surface watertight and also having control over possible water leakage when no continuous observation is made. This problem is solved by the features listed in the claims. The embodiment is explained in the drawings with reference to FIGS. 1+2 FIG. 1 is a side view FIG. 2 shows a front view
Claims
Watertight aquarium shelf with rear wall, drain channel and collecting container false, characterised in that the rear wall and shelf are continuously coated with liquid filmWatertight aquarium shelf with rear wall, drain channel and collecting container false, characterised in that emerging water drains in a drain channel, which is also coated with liquid film and which comprises the shelf.Watertight aquarium floor with rear wall, drain channel and collecting container, characterised in that the water draining in the drain channel flows through hoses to a visual container and is collected there.
