Abstract

Multifunctional bag, usable as a bicycle bag and backpack, with a vertically pivoting, two-layer protective cover (1) which is attached to the bottom of the bag by lower attachment points (8) and has lateral extensions (2b), wherein an elastic tensioning element (2) is attached to the lateral extensions, preferably by means of fastening means (2c), in order to cover the front, preferably as a bicycle bag side, or to release the back, preferably as a backpack side, or to switch between these sides by means of a simple and ergonomic vertical pivoting movement from one side to the other over the bottom of the bag.

[0002] Combined bicycle and backpack bags are known in various designs. These include, for example, pivoting, removable, or roll-up covers, which typically allow horizontal pivoting movement to conceal unused elements such as straps or fastening systems. Shoulder straps are often secured using separate compartments, hooks, or loops. Two-layer protective covers with inner pockets are common, with access usually via a zipper or, in some cases, multiple zippers on one side. [0003] The multifunctional bag (6) according to the invention can be used as a bicycle bag and backpack and is equipped with a vertically pivoting, two-layer protective cover (1). The protective cover is connected to the bottom of the bag via lower attachment points (8) and has lateral extensions (2b). It is designed such that, by a vertical pivoting movement from bottom to top over the bottom of the bag, it covers the front side, preferably as the bicycle bag side, and is moved back from top to bottom over the bottom of the bag to expose the back side, preferably as the backpack side, or to switch between these sides.

[0004] The elastic tensioning element (2), e.g., a rubber band, elastic cord, or plastic band, is attached to the lateral extensions (2b), preferably by means of fastening means (2c) such as eyelets, buttons, or seams through which it is passed, attached, or fixed, or directly by sewing without fastening means. The tensioning element is equipped with buckles (2d) for tension adjustment and has a hand strap (2a) as an ergonomic gripping aid, which facilitates tightening the tensioning element when moving the protective cover.

[0005] To close the front (preferably as a bike bag side), the vertically pivoting protective cover is swung from bottom to top over the base of the bag. The hand strap (2a) is pulled up to tighten the tensioning element, and the buckles (2d) are adjusted, with the hand strap facilitating the tightening, to securely fasten the cover. To release the cover, the hand strap is pulled up, loosening the tensioning element. The cover can then be swung vertically from top to bottom over the base of the bag to the back (preferably as a backpack side). There it is pulled up again and tightened with the hand strap and tensioning element, taut with the buckles. This mechanism enables a simple and ergonomic vertical pivoting movement without any lateral attachment points on the bag.

[0006] The two-layer protective cover (1) contains an inner pocket (5) accessible from at least one side, preferably by two zippers (5a, 5b) from both sides, to allow organized storage and convenient access regardless of the pivoting position of the protective cover. Alternatively, other types of closure such as Velcro or buttons can be used. The strap fixing system (3) comprises elastic straps, preferably arranged crosswise, which are controlled by an operating element (4), preferably a D-ring. The operating element allows the straps to be handled simultaneously to fix the shoulder straps (7) of the bag (6) on the back, preferably as a backpack side, by pulling the straps centrally to tighten them to prevent the straps from slipping out sideways while riding.

Claims

[1] Multifunctional bag, usable as a bicycle bag and backpack, with a vertically pivoting, two-layer protective cover (1) which is attached to the bottom of the bag by lower attachment points (8) and has lateral extensions (2b), wherein an elastic tensioning element (2) is attached to the lateral extensions, preferably by means of fastening means (2c), in order to cover the front, preferably as a bicycle bag side, or to release the back, preferably as a backpack side, or to switch between these sides by a simple and ergonomic vertical pivoting movement from one side to the other over the bottom of the bag. [2] Bag according to claim 1, characterized by that the elastic tensioning element (2), preferably an elastic band, has a hand strap (2a) as a gripping aid for moving the protective cover, which facilitates the tightening of the tensioning element, and buckles (2d) for adjusting the tension. [3] Bag according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the elastic tensioning element (2) or a functionally equivalent holding element is fastened to the lateral extensions (2b), preferably by means of fastening means (2c) such as eyelets, buttons or seams which are designed such that the tensioning element is passed through them, fastened to them or connected to them, or is fastened directly to the extensions without fastening means. [4] Bag according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the two-layer protective cover (1) has an inner pocket (5) which is accessible from at least one side, preferably by two zippers (5a, 5b) from both sides. [5] Bag according to one of the preceding claims, characterized bythat the bag comprises a strap fixing system (3) with elastic straps, preferably arranged crosswise, and an operating element (4), preferably a D-ring, which enables quick and ergonomic simultaneous handling of the straps in order to fix the shoulder straps (7) of the bag (6) on the back, preferably as a backpack side, and to prevent them from slipping out sideways when driving.
