Abstract
Description
1. Designation of the InventionModular Brine Nebulizer Having Separate Nebulizing and Delivery Unit for Aerosol Generation and Distribution in Horse Inhalation Rooms2. Technical FieldThe invention relates to an inhalation device for generating a salt-containing aerosol from brine and for the targeted distribution of this aerosol in an application space. The device consists of two functional units--an nebulizing unit and an electric conveying unit, which are connected to one another by an air-guiding system. The modules are portable and thereby enable both stationary and mobile or temporary use.3. Prior ArtCompact nebulizer apparatus with integrated air delivery are known, but offer only limited flexibility in installation, maintenance and use under veterinary conditions. The combined, spatially separable and portable structure with a targeted air conduction to the brine chamber is novel in the area of equine inhalation.4. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONTask:The object of the invention is to provide a robust portable brine nebulizer apparatus consisting of two spatially separated, transportable apparatus modules:an electric control unit with an integrated pipe fan (E-BOX 1),a separate water-conducting nebulizing unit with ultrasonic nebulizer (STEAMBOX 2).The aim is a flexible use in different inhalation environments-stationary, mobile or temporary-and also a reliable, uniform distribution of the aerosol generated in the application space.Solution:This object is achieved by a brine nebulizer device of two-part construction, in which: 1. the electrical unit (E-BOX 1) contains all the alternating current-carrying (AC) components, in particular the pipe fan, the power supply unit for supplying the nebulizer unit and the power distribution unit, 2. the nebulizer unit (STEAMBOX 2) is completely water-conducting and contains an ultrasonic module on a direct current basis (DC) for generating the aerosol, 3. both modules are connected by an air conveying system, preferably in the form of a flexible ventilation tube 5, 4. the aerosol generated in the STEAMBOX 2 is mixed with the air stream from the E-BOX 1 and transported in a targeted manner into the inhalation environment, 5. both modules are designed to be portable and separately raisable, such that use in mobile, stationary and temporary inhalation areas is possible.5. DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENTModular construction:E-BOX 1 (electrical unit): Compact control cabinet with handle, contains power distribution, power supply and pipe fan. The electrical unit is secured via a power cable with a plug and an integrated FI circuit breaker (residual current protection) 3, in order to ensure reliable use even in a moist environment. Air guidance via PVC tube 4φ 100 mm. Connection to the STEAMBOX 2 via flexible ventilation hose 5.• STEAMBOX 2 (nebulizing unit): Robust, lockable plastic box with integrated water tank. Includes an ultrasonic nebulizer unit. Two floats maintain the nebulizer module at an optimal immersion depth (2-3 cm). Air supply and discharge via lateral hose connections 5.Transport and flexibility:Both modules are portable and designed for simple change of location. They make possible a quick installation and disassembly, for example in stable corridors, trailers or mobile boxes-even without structural changes. The modular connection via hose systems 5 allows flexible placement.6. Use of the Inventionbuilding up a saline aerosol atmosphere in brine chambers for horsesAirway assistance by brine aerosol inhalationUse in stables, brine chambers or mobile inhalation boxesUse exclusively in the interior (protected from weathering influences)Use temperature range: +5° C. to +35° CSuitable for brine concentrations of 0.5-6%8.
