Abstract
Description
1. Technical area
[0001] The invention relates to a structural element for integration into the shell of buildings or structures, in particular as a fall protection barrier, railing, carport wall, or garden shed wall. The element also performs a technical function as a condenser or evaporator unit in the refrigeration circuit of a heat pump or air conditioning system. 2. State of the art
[0002] Conventional heat exchange systems in heat pumps and air conditioning systems usually consist of separate outdoor units that absorb or dissipate heat. These require dedicated installation space, are often undesirable from an aesthetic perspective, and make integration into densely populated or aesthetically demanding environments difficult. A structural combination of an architectural function (e.g., a railing or wall) with technical heat supply or heat removal is unknown in the current state of the art. 3. Description of the invention a) Object of the invention: The aim is to provide a multifunctional building element that fulfills both structural functions (e.g., fall protection or privacy screen) and technical functions within a refrigeration cycle (condensation or evaporation). It should be flexible in use, adaptable, and suitable for both retrofitting and new construction. b) Solution: The invention comprises a modular system with the following features: • A supporting or fixing structure that can be installed either vertically or horizontally, e.g. as a fall protection device, railing, carport wall or garden shed wall. • A variety of fans of variable size and number, grid-shaped or freely distributed, which move air through the system. • A heat exchange element designed as a condenser unit or evaporator unit through which gaseous or liquid refrigerant is passed to remove or add heat. • An electronic control unit that controls the fans depending on temperature, pressure or system requirements. • A breathable protective grille or panel that serves as a safety and privacy screen. The materials and shapes of this cover are freely selectable. • Optional: an outer panel (side facing away from the house), which is also designed to be air-permeable and can be equipped with photovoltaic elements. • Operation can be carried out either as a single module, in series connection of several modules or in combined operation of several elements with common control and / or hydraulic coupling. 4. Advantages of the invention • Combination of technical and architectural function in one building element • Use of existing or planned building areas for heat supply or removal • Optically integrable technology solution without additional external devices • Compatibility with different building types and installation situations • Expandability through photovoltaics for energy generation • Modular scaling from small individual solutions to large-scale systems • Installation both in retrofitting and in new construction as a load-bearing element 5. Application variants (not exhaustive): • Balcony parapet or railing • Fall protection in apartment buildings • Carport wall with technical function • Wall of a garden shed or outbuilding • Privacy screen systems with heat exchanger integration • Horizontal roof elements or parapet supports Legend to the drawings: a front view b Side view c Top view d 3D view e cross-section without PV f cross section with PV g drawing 1 railing 2 fans 3 grids 4 finned heat exchangers 5 Air intake 6 Stand console 7 PV modules
Claims
