Abstract
Description
Technical area
[0001] The invention relates to rubber spikes for mounting on the wheels of robotic lawnmowers, which serve to improve traction, protect the lawn and increase the precision of position determination (odometry). State of the art
[0002] Conventional spikes for robotic lawnmowers are usually made of hard, metallic, or rigid plastic and are mounted using drywall screws. These often lead to damage to wheels, lawns, or paved surfaces. Often, they lack a closed protection against dirt ingress or are aesthetically integrated into the wheel. Object of the invention
[0003] The object of the invention is to provide spikes that improve traction on various surfaces, while protecting lawns, preventing dirt from entering and providing a visually appealing, precisely fitting and easy-to-install solution. Solution
[0004] This task is solved by rubber spikes (1). The circumferential, radially arranged spikes (2) are made of an elastic material with specific, dimensionally stable elements that sink in under load or adapt to the surface. They are designed to utilize the wheel's original attachment points (5) and are integrated into an integrated hub cap (1), which, with its appropriate sealing shape (3) (4), also prevents the ingress of dirt. This design enables stable power transmission on both soft and hard surfaces, even in wet conditions.
[0005] These representations ( Fig. 1) ( Fig. 2) correspond to a preferred embodiment of the invention.
Claims
[1] Rubber spikes for robotic lawnmowers, comprising a rotationally symmetrical spike module (1) made of elastomeric material for attachment to a robotic lawnmower wheel characterized by that a plurality of integrated, deformable spike bodies (2) are present to improve traction. [2] Rubber spikes according to claim 1, characterized by that an elastomeric material is present for adaptive power transmission on soft and hard surfaces, even under wet conditions. [3] Rubber spikes according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that there is a molded hub cap structure (1) to protect against dirt and moisture. [4] Rubber spikes according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that there is a corresponding sealing shape (3) (4) to protect against the ingress of dirt and moisture. [5] Rubber spikes according to one of the preceding claims, characterized bythat the use of original factory mounting points (5) is applied for assembly. [6] Rubber spikes according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that a smooth outer surface (1) is present for dirt repellency and optical design. [7] Rubber spikes according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the elastomer material protects the lawn as well as hard surfaces.
