Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a device for raising a person lying on a lying surface into a sitting position.
[0002] In the care and therapy sector, it is often necessary to assist people requiring care or therapy in moving from a lying to a sitting position. The person may be lying on the surface of a (care) bed or a massage table, for example.
[0003] Assisting nursing or therapy staff in standing upright is physically demanding. A significant proportion of sick leave among nursing or therapy staff can be attributed to back pain resulting from heavy lifting.
[0004] From DE 10 2010 041 802 A1 a device for raising a person is known, comprising a chest support extending substantially parallel to a body axis of the lying person for positioning on the chest of the lying person and for embracing the person with the arms, an arm holder arranged pivotably relative to the chest support for fixing the arms to the chest support, a coupling element for applying a force to the device about a pivot axis, so that an raising movement of the person from a supine position to a sitting position is supported.
[0005] DE 10 2019 003 813 A1 discloses a device for raising a person in need of assistance from a position on the ground. The device comprises a floor element for placement on the floor, a receiving element for receiving the person in need of assistance, traction means for rigidly bracing the receiving element against the floor element, and a fillable chamber between the floor element and the receiving element for filling with a fluid. An inlet opening is provided for connection to a filling device, wherein the fillable chamber is sealed at one end to the floor element and at its other end to the receiving element, and is tapered in the direction of extension from the floor element to the receiving element. Furthermore, a wall is provided which is formed with bulges and depressions in the direction of extension of the fillable chamber. The traction devices are connected to the floor element, the recesses, and the receiving element at spaced-apart locations. Both of the above-described devices are very complex in design.
[0006] The object of the invention is to create a solution with which a person can be supported when standing up from a lying position with little structural effort so that he or she can stand up independently.
[0007] This object is achieved according to the invention in a device of the type described at the outset by a stationary frame element on which a rod-shaped erection element is arranged above the lying surface and can be reached by the hands of the person lying down and which can be moved at least in the horizontal direction by a motor drive.
[0008] Such a simple device is suitable in many cases for assisting people to independently transfer from a lying position to a sitting position. The person in question simply needs to be able to grasp the rod-shaped lifting element with their hands and then allow themselves to be pulled up into a sitting position by the motor-driven movement of the lifting element.
[0009] In a preferred embodiment, the motor drive is electric. Alternatively, a hydraulic or pneumatic motor drive can also be provided.
[0010] The motor drive is particularly preferably an electric spindle motor.
[0011] For individual adjustment to the size of the respective person and / or the height of the respective lying surface, the standing element is preferably arranged on the frame element in a height-adjustable manner.
[0012] In a first embodiment, the frame element is provided with a base. In this embodiment, the device is versatile and can be used mobile if necessary. For this purpose, casters can be integrated into the base, which can be locked and lowered if necessary.
[0013] In a second embodiment, it is provided that the frame element is designed with a holder for screwing to a wall surface, a bed frame, a couch frame or the like.
[0014] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows Fig. 1 a side view of a device arranged next to a massage table and Fig. 2 a perspective view of the Fig. 1.
[0015] A device for raising a person lying on a lying surface 2 into a sitting position is generally designated 1. The lying surface 2 can, for example, be part of a massage table 3 or a (nursing) bed.
[0016] The device 1 comprises a stationary frame element 4, on which a rod-shaped raising element 5 is arranged above the lying surface 2 and is accessible by the hands of the person lying down. The raising element 5 is movable at least horizontally by a motor drive 6. In the illustrated embodiment, the motor drive 6 is an electric spindle motor.
[0017] In the exemplary embodiment, the frame element 4 has a base 7. The device 1 is thus essentially mobile and can be placed on a long side of various lying surfaces 2, i.e., it can be used for various massage tables, (nursing) beds, or the like. Casters (not shown) can be integrated into the base 7, which can be locked and lowered if necessary.
[0018] Alternatively, the frame element 4 can be designed with a bracket (not shown) for screwing to a wall surface, a bed frame, a couch frame or the like.
[0019] The rod-shaped raising element 5 is preferably arranged on the frame element 4 in a height-adjustable manner. This allows for individual adjustment to the size of the respective person and / or the height of the respective lying surface 2 in order to ensure ergonomically perfect raising of the person from a lying position.
[0020] The motor drive 6 is equipped with a control unit 8 integrated into the rod-shaped erecting element. Alternatively, the control unit can be housed in a separate housing and connected to the motor drive 6 either by cable or wirelessly (remote control).
[0021] The rod-shaped uprighting element 5 can be hinged via a pivot joint 9. A sensor (e.g., a strain gauge) connected to the controller 8 can be integrated into this pivot joint 9 to determine the force exerted by the person being uprighted on the uprighting element 5. Of course, the force can also be determined by other means.
[0022] To stand upright, a person lying on the lying surface 2 grasps the rod-shaped raising element 5 of the device 1 with both hands and actuates the control 8 of the motor drive 6. Alternatively, the control 8 can also be operated by another person. This causes the raising element 5 to move horizontally toward the person's feet and pulls the person into a sitting position. The motor drive 6 preferably has an automatic limit switch.
[0023] Of course, the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiments. Further embodiments are possible without departing from the basic concept. Thus, the motor drive 6 can also be designed differently, e.g., hydraulically or pneumatically.
