DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0017] An imaging optical lens assembly includes eight lens elements. The eight lens elements are, in order from an object side to an image side along an optical path, a first lens element, a second lens element, a third lens element, a fourth lens element, a fifth lens element, a sixth lens element, a seventh lens element, and an eighth lens element. Each of the eight lens elements of the imaging optical lens assembly has an object-side surface facing the object side and an image-side surface facing the image side.

[0018] The first lens element may have a negative refractive power. Therefore, it is advantageous to cooperate with the positioning of the aperture stop to increase the size of the image surface. The image-side surface of the first lens element may be concave in a paraxial region thereof. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust the propagation direction of the light to improve the light-gathering capacity of the imaging optical lens assembly.

[0019] The fourth lens element may have a positive refractive power. Therefore, it is advantageous for equalizing the refractive power distribution in the imaging optical lens assembly. The image-side surface of the fourth lens element may be convex in a paraxial region thereof. Therefore, it is advantageous for adjusting the direction of refraction of light on the fourth lens element and correcting spherical aberration.

[0020] The fifth lens element has positive refractive power. Therefore, it is advantageous to control the direction of the light path to collect light rays and achieve a balance between the field of view and the size distribution of the imaging optical lens assembly. The image-side surface of the fifth lens element may be convex in a paraxial region thereof. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust the surface shape and refractive power of the fifth lens element to prevent stray light generated in the peripheral region due to an excessively large angle of incidence of the light.

[0021] The sixth lens element may have a positive refractive power. Therefore, it is advantageous for collecting light rays to reduce the size of the imaging optical lens assembly. The image-side surface of the sixth lens element may be convex in a paraxial region thereof. Therefore, it is advantageous for adjusting the light path direction to reduce the size and correct aberrations.

[0022] The object-side surface of the seventh lens element can be concave in a paraxial region. This makes it advantageous for correcting the field curvature to reduce distortion.

[0023] The object-side surface of the eighth lens element may be convex in a paraxial region thereof. Therefore, it is advantageous to reduce the field curvature and the back focal length to prevent an excessively long overall length of the imaging optical lens assembly.

[0024] The object-side surface of the eighth lens element has at least one inflection point. Therefore, it is advantageous to reduce the back focal length and increase the relative illuminance in the peripheral field of view and the light gathering quality of different wavelengths by varying the shape of the object-side surface of the eighth lens element. Fig. 31, which shows a schematic view of the inflection points P on the lens surfaces according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure. In Fig. 31, the image-side surface of the second lens element E2 and the object-side surface and the image-side surface of the eighth lens element E8 each have an inflection point P. The Fig. The first embodiment of the present disclosure shown in Figure 31 is merely exemplary. Each of the lens elements in various embodiments of the present disclosure may have one or more inflection points.

[0025] The object-side surface and the image-side surface of the seventh lens element can both be aspherical. Therefore, it is advantageous to improve the off-axis aberration correction capability of the seventh lens element to reduce chromatic aberration.

[0026] In the imaging optical lens assembly, at least one lens element may be made of glass material and at least one lens element may be made of plastic material. Therefore, it is advantageous for collaborating with spherical and aspherical surface designs, balancing manufacturability and manufacturing costs, and maintaining excellent stability under various environmental conditions.

[0027] The imaging optical lens assembly may include at least one cemented lens set, and the at least one cemented lens set is formed by cementing two adjacent lens elements from the first lens element, the second lens element, the third lens element, the fourth lens element, the fifth lens element, the sixth lens element, the seventh lens element, and the eighth lens element. Therefore, by reducing the difference in refractive index between the lens elements, it is advantageous to reduce the total internal reflection of peripheral light and thus prevent ghosting. Furthermore, two adjacent cemented surfaces of the two adjacent lens elements may both be aspherical. Therefore, it is advantageous to increase the flexibility of the optical design to correct astigmatism. The two adjacent cemented surfaces of the two adjacent lens elements refer to the image-side surface of the lens element closer to the object side and the object-side surface of the other lens element closer to the image side in the cemented lens set. Furthermore, the imaging optical lens assembly may also comprise at least two cemented lens sets.

[0028] According to the present disclosure, the imaging optical lens assembly further comprises an aperture stop disposed between an imaged object and the fourth lens element. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust the position of the aperture stop to increase the relative illuminance in the peripheral field of view and enlarge the field of view. Furthermore, the aperture stop may be disposed between the first lens element and the third lens element. Furthermore, the aperture stop may be disposed between the second lens element and the third lens element.

[0029] When the axial distance between the object-side surface of the first lens element and the image surface is TL and the focal length of the imaging optical lens assembly is f, the following condition is satisfied: 3.00 < TL / f < 6.00. Therefore, it is advantageous to achieve a balance between the total track length and the field of view to meet market application requirements. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 3.50 < TL / f < 6.00. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 4.00 < TL / f < 5.80. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 3.90 ≤ TL / f ≤ 5.50.

[0030] When an axial distance between the first lens element and the second lens element is T12, an axial distance between the third lens element and the fourth lens element is T34, and a central thickness of the sixth lens element is CT6, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.05 < (T12 + T34) / CT6 < 1.50. Therefore, it is advantageous to improve the spatial utilization of the imaging optical lens assembly while simultaneously increasing the manufacturing yield. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.20 < (T12 + T34) / CT6 < 1.50. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.43 ≤ (T12 + T34) / CT6 ≤ 0.99.

[0031] When the focal length of the imaging optical lens assembly is f, a focal length of the second lens element is f2, a focal length of the third lens element is f3, and a focal length of the eighth lens element is f8, the following condition can be satisfied: -1.50 < f / f2+f / f3+f / f8 < 0.38. Therefore, it is beneficial for a rational distribution of the refractive power of the imaging optical lens assembly to compensate for the convergence or divergence of light and thereby improve the light gathering quality across the entire field of view. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: -1.00 < f / f2+f / f3+f / f8 < 0.35. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: -0.50 < f / f2+f / f3+f / f8 < 0.30. In addition, the following condition can also be met: -0.16 ≤ f / f2+f / f3+f / f8 ≤ 0.14.

[0032] When the radius of curvature of the object-side surface of the sixth lens element is R11 and the radius of curvature of the image-side surface of the sixth lens element is R12, the following condition can be satisfied: -3.00 < (R11+R12) / (R11-R12) < 3.00. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust the surface and refractive power of the sixth lens element to collect light rays and improve the quality of central light collection. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: -0.85 < (R11+R12) / (R11-R12) < 2.80. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.32 ≤ (R11+R12) / (R11-R12) ≤ 1.51.

[0033] When the Abbe number of the third lens element is V3, the Abbe number of the seventh lens element is V7, and the Abbe number of the eighth lens element is V8, the following condition can be satisfied: 18.0 < V3+V7+V8 < 105.0. Therefore, it is beneficial to balance the material arrangement of the imaging optical lens assembly, thereby reducing chromatic aberrations in the central field of view and adjacent fields. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: 20.0 < V3+V7+V8 < 101.0. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: 27.0 < V3+V7+V8 < 86.0. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: 56.4 ≤ V3+V7+V8 ≤ 99.9.

[0034] When the radius of curvature of the image-side surface of the fourth lens element is R8 and the radius of curvature of the object-side surface of the fifth lens element is R9, the following condition can be satisfied: -10.00 < R8 / R9 < 0.15. Therefore, to increase the systematic balance of the imaging optical lens assembly, it is advantageous to design the shapes of the image-side surface of the fourth lens element and the object-side surface of the fifth lens element to control the direction of the light rays. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: -5.00 < R8 / R9 < 0.15.

[0035] When half of the maximum field of view of the imaging optical lens assembly is HFOV, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.82 < tan(HFOV) < 2.75. Therefore, it is advantageous for the imaging optical lens assembly to have a sufficient imaging area to meet the field of view requirements of application devices. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: 1.00 < tan(HFOV) < 2.15.

[0036] When the focal length of the imaging optical lens assembly is f, a focal length of the first lens element is f1, the focal length of the second lens element is f2, a focal length of the seventh lens element is f7, and the focal length of the eighth lens element is f8, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.00 ≤ (|f1|+|f7|) / (|f2|+|f8|) < 0.62. Therefore, it is advantageous to balance the refractive power arrangement of the imaging optical lens assembly to improve the ability for image quality correction.

[0037] When the radius of curvature of the image-side surface of the first lens element is R2 and the radius of curvature of the object-side surface of the second lens element is R3, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.00 ≤ |R2 / R3| < 0.60. Therefore, it is advantageous for light reception and light path adjustment by complementing the shapes of the image-side surface of the first lens element and the object-side surface of the second lens element. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.00 ≤ |R2 / R3| < 0.45.

[0038] When the Abbe number of the fourth lens element is V4 and the refractive index of the fourth lens element is N4, the following condition can be satisfied: 6.50 < V4 / N4 < 35.70. Therefore, limiting the material selection for the fourth lens element is beneficial for correcting chromatic aberration, thereby improving image resolution. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 17.00 < V4 / N4 < 35.70.

[0039] When a refractive index of the second lens element is N2, a refractive index of the third lens element is N3, and a refractive index of the sixth lens element is N6, the following condition can be satisfied: 1.25 < (N2 + N6) / N3 < 1.85. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust the material distribution of the imaging optical lens assembly to balance the convergence ability between different wavelength bands of light.

[0040] When the f-number of the imaging optical lens assembly is Fno, the following condition can be satisfied: 1.30 < Fno < 1.85. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust the aperture size to increase the light capture of the imaging optical lens assembly, enabling better image quality in low-light conditions. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 1.40 < Fno < 1.80.

[0041] When a distance parallel to an optical axis between a position of the maximum effective radius of the object-side surface of the fourth lens element and a position of the maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the fourth lens element is ET4, and a distance parallel to the optical axis between a position of the maximum effective radius of the object-side surface of the fifth lens element and a position of the maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the fifth lens element is ET5, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.15 < ET4 / ET5 < 3.00. Therefore, it is favorable to direct the direction of the peripheral light paths to prevent total internal reflection. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.18 < ET4 / ET5 < 2.60. Reference is made to Fig. 32, which shows a schematic view of ET4 and ET5 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0042] When a maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the fifth lens element is Y5R2 and the maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the sixth lens element is Y6R2, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.75 < Y5R2 / Y6R2 < 1.30. Therefore, it is advantageous to limit the height of light refraction to prevent ineffective light collection due to excessive refraction angles in peripheral areas. Reference is made to Fig. 32, which shows a schematic view of Y5R2 and Y6R2 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0043] When the axial distance between the object-side surface of the first lens element and the image-side surface of the eighth lens element is TD and the entrance pupil diameter of the imaging optical lens assembly is EPD, the following condition can be satisfied: 5.10 < TD / EPD < 8.00. Therefore, it is advantageous to increase the relative illuminance of the peripheral field of view and achieve a balance between illuminance, depth of field, and the size of the imaging optical lens assembly. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: 5.20 <TD / EPD<7,60.

[0044] When the focal length of the imaging optical lens assembly is f, the focal length of the first lens element is f1, and the focal length of the seventh lens element is f7, the following condition can be satisfied: -1.75 < f / f1 + f / f7 < -0.85. Therefore, it is preferable for the refractive power of the first lens element and the seventh lens element to cooperate to correct aberrations and field curvature and adjust the field of view. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: -1.75 < f / f1 + f / f7 < -0.95.

[0045] When the central thickness of the first lens element is CT1 and the central thickness of the seventh lens element is CT7, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.10 < CT7 / CT1 < 2.10. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust the arrangement space of the lens elements to reduce manufacturing tolerances. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.16 < CT7 / CT1 < 1.80.

[0046] When the axial distance between the third lens element and the fourth lens element is T34 and the central thickness of the sixth lens element is CT6, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.00 ≤ T34 / CT6 < 1.10. Therefore, reducing the total track length is advantageous for improving manufacturability. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.00 ≤ T34 / CT6 < 0.60.

[0047] When the Abbe number of the first lens element is V1, the Abbe number of the third lens element is V3, and the Abbe number of the seventh lens element is V7, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.3 < (V3 + V7) / V1 < 1.0. Therefore, it is advantageous for the third lens element and the seventh lens element to have the ability to correct chromatic aberration to reduce color distortion in images.

[0048] When the radius of curvature of the object-side surface of the seventh lens element is R13 and the radius of curvature of the image-side surface of the seventh lens element is R14, the following condition can be satisfied: -1.70 < (R13 + R14) / (R13 - R14) < 0.70. Therefore, by adjusting the surface shape and the refractive power of the seventh lens element, systematic distortion can be limited to an acceptable range. In addition, the following condition can also be satisfied: -1.60 < (R13 + R14) / (R13 - R14) < 0.55.

[0049] When a displacement parallel to the optical axis from an axial vertex of the image-side surface of the first lens element to a position of the maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the first lens element is SAG1R2 and a distance parallel to the optical axis between a position of the maximum effective radius of the object-side surface of the first lens element and the position of the maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the first lens element is ET1, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.20 < SAG1R2 / ET1 < 0.85. Therefore, it is advantageous to restrict the edge shape of the first lens element so as to ensure the manufacturability of the imaging optical lens assembly. Reference is made to Fig.32, which shows a schematic view of SAG1R2 and ET1 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure. When the direction from the axial vertex of a surface to the position of the maximum effective radius of the same surface points to the image side of the imaging optical lens assembly, the value of the shift is positive; when the direction from the axial vertex of the surface to the position of the maximum effective radius of the same surface points to the object side of the imaging optical lens assembly, the value of the shift is negative.

[0050] When a maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the third lens element is Y3R2 and a maximum effective radius of the object-side surface of the fifth lens element is Y5R1, the following condition can be satisfied: 1.00 < Y5R1 / Y3R2 < 3.50. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust peripheral light rays and correct off-axis aberrations to improve image quality. Reference is made to Fig. 32, which shows a schematic view of Y5R1 and Y3R2 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0051] When a distance parallel to the optical axis between a position of the maximum effective radius of the object-side surface of the sixth lens element and a position of the maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the sixth lens element is ET6, and a distance parallel to the optical axis between a position of the maximum effective radius of the object-side surface of the seventh lens element and a position of the maximum effective radius of the image-side surface of the seventh lens element is ET7, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.28 < ET6 / ET7 < 1.10. Therefore, by coordinating with the design of the peripheral surface to adjust the refractive power at the lens edges, it is advantageous to control peripheral light rays and correct astigmatism and distortion. Reference is made to Fig. 32, which shows a schematic view of ET6 and ET7 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0052] When the Abbe number of the second lens element is V2, the following condition can be met: 5.0 < V2 < 53.0. Therefore, it is beneficial for preventing image ghosting and improving imaging performance. Furthermore, the following condition can also be met: 10.0 < V2 < 37.5.

[0053] When the focal length of the fourth lens element is f4 and the radius of curvature of the object-side surface of the fourth lens element is R7, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.00 ≤ |f4 / R7| < 1.20. Therefore, it is advantageous to control the refractive power and shape of the object-side surface of the fourth lens element to correct spherical aberration. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.00 ≤ |f4 / R7| < 0.55.

[0054] When the central thickness of the fifth lens element is CT5 and the central thickness of the eighth lens element is CT8, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.18 < CT8 / CT5 < 1.85. Therefore, it is advantageous to adjust the arrangement space for the fifth lens element and the eighth lens element to balance the size distribution of the imaging optical lens assembly, thereby reducing assembly difficulty. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: 0.30 < CT8 / CT5 < 1.55.

[0055] When the axial distance between the aperture stop and the object-side surface of the third lens element is Dsr5 and the axial distance between the aperture stop and the object-side surface of the fifth lens element is Dsr9, the following condition can be satisfied: 0.00 < |Dsr5 / Dsr9| < 0.90. Therefore, it is beneficial for balancing the field of view area and the total track length of the imaging optical lens assembly for different applications.

[0056] When the radius of curvature of the image-side surface of the seventh lens element is R14 and the radius of curvature of the object-side surface of the eighth lens element is R15, the following condition can be satisfied: -0.08 < (R14-R15) / (R14+R15) < 6.00. Therefore, it is desirable for the radii of curvature of the image-side surface of the seventh lens element and the object-side surface of the eighth lens element to complement each other to correct the field curvature and thereby improve image quality. Furthermore, the following condition can also be satisfied: -0.05 < (R14-R15) / (R14+R15) < 2.50.

[0057] When a displacement parallel to the optical axis from an axial vertex of the object-side surface of the seventh lens element to the position of the maximum effective radius of the object-side surface of the seventh lens element is SAG7R1 and the central thickness of the seventh lens element is CT7, the following condition can be satisfied: -3.50 < SAG7R1 / CT7 < -0.50. Therefore, it is advantageous to restrict the curvature of the peripheral object-side surface of the seventh lens element in order to direct peripheral light rays onto the image surface and correct distortion. Reference is made to Fig.32, which shows a schematic view of SAG7R1 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure. When the direction from the axial vertex of a surface to the position of the maximum effective radius of the same surface points toward the image side of the imaging optical lens assembly, the value of the shift is positive; when the direction from the axial vertex of the surface to the position of the maximum effective radius of the same surface points toward the object side of the imaging optical lens assembly, the value of the shift is negative.

[0058] According to the present disclosure, the above features and conditions can be used in numerous combinations to achieve corresponding effects.

[0059] According to the present disclosure, the lens elements of the imaging optical lens assembly can be made of either glass or plastic material. When the lens elements are made of glass material, the refractive power distribution of the imaging optical lens assembly can be more flexible, and the influence on imaging caused by temperature changes in the external environment can be reduced. The glass lens element can be manufactured by either grinding or molding. When the lens elements are made of plastic material, manufacturing costs can be effectively reduced. Furthermore, the surfaces of each lens element can be designed to be spherical or aspherical. Spherical lens elements are easy to manufacture. The design of aspherical lens elements allows for more control variables to eliminate aberrations and reduce the required number of lens elements, effectively shortening the overall track length of the imaging optical lens assembly. Furthermore, the aspherical surfaces can be manufactured using plastic injection molding or glass molding.

[0060] According to the present disclosure, when a lens surface is aspheric, it means that the lens surface has an aspherical shape over all or part of its optically effective area.

[0061] According to the present disclosure, one or more of the lens element materials may optionally include an additive that creates light absorption and interference effects and modifies the transmittance of the lens elements in a specific wavelength range to reduce unwanted stray light or color variations. For example, the additive may optionally filter out light in the wavelength range of 600 nm to 800 nm to reduce excessive red light and / or near-infrared light; or it may optionally filter out light in the wavelength range of 350 nm to 450 nm to prevent excessive blue light and / or near-ultraviolet light from interfering with the final image. The additive may be homogeneously blended with a plastic material used in the manufacture of a blended-material lens element by injection molding. In addition, the additive can be applied to the surfaces of the lens to achieve the above-mentioned effects.

[0062] According to the present disclosure, each of an object-side surface and an image-side surface has a paraxial region and an off-axis region. The paraxial region refers to the region of the surface where light rays travel near the optical axis, and the off-axis region refers to the region of the surface far from the paraxial region. Specifically, unless otherwise specified, a convex surface of the lens element means that the surface is convex in the paraxial region thereof; a concave surface of the lens element means that the surface is concave in the paraxial region thereof. In addition, when a range of refractive power or focus of a lens element is not defined, it means that the range of refractive power or focus of the lens element is located in the paraxial region thereof.

[0063] According to the present disclosure, an inflection point is a point on the surface of the lens element where the surface changes from concave to convex or vice versa. A critical point is an off-axis point of the lens surface where its tangent is perpendicular to the optical axis. Reference is made to Fig. 31, which shows a schematic view of the critical points C on the lens surfaces according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure. In Fig. 31, the image-side surface of the second lens element E2 and the object-side surface and the image-side surface of the eighth lens element E8 each have a critical point C in an off-axis region thereof. Fig.The first embodiment of the present disclosure shown in Figure 31 is merely exemplary. Each of the lens elements in various embodiments of the present disclosure may have one or more critical points in an off-axis region thereof.

[0064] According to the present disclosure, the image surface of the imaging optical lens assembly may be flat or curved based on the corresponding image sensor, in particular a curved surface that is concave and faces the object side of the imaging optical lens assembly.

[0065] According to the present disclosure, an image correction unit, such as a field flattener, can optionally be arranged between the lens element closest to the image side of the imaging optical lens assembly along the optical path and the image surface to correct aberrations such as field curvature. The optical properties of the image correction unit, such as curvature, thickness, refractive index, position, and surface shape (convex or concave surface with spherical, aspherical, diffractive, or Fresnel types), can be adjusted according to the design of the image acquisition unit. In general, a preferred image correction unit is, for example, a thin transparent element with a concave object-side surface and a flat image-side surface, with the thin transparent element arranged near the image surface.

[0066] According to the present disclosure, optionally at least one light folding element, such as a prism or a mirror, may be provided between an imaged object and the image surface on the optical path of the imaging, and the surface shape of the prism or mirror may be a flat, spherical, aspherical, or freeform surface, so that the imaging optical lens assembly can be more flexible in spatial arrangement and therefore the dimensions of an electronic device are not limited by the total track length of the imaging optical lens assembly. See in particular Fig. 33 and Fig. 34. Fig. 33 shows a schematic view of a configuration of a light folding element in an imaging optical lens assembly according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, and Fig.34 shows a schematic view of another configuration of a light folding element in an imaging optical lens assembly according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The imaging optical lens assembly may optionally be provided with three or more light folding elements, and the present disclosure is not limited to the type, number, and position of the light folding elements of the embodiments disclosed in the above-mentioned figures.

[0068] According to the present disclosure, an aperture stop can be configured as a front stop or a center stop. A front stop disposed between an imaged object and the first lens element can create a larger distance between an exit pupil of the imaging optical lens assembly and the image surface to produce a telecentric effect, thereby improving the image sensor efficiency of an image sensor (e.g., CCD or CMOS). A center stop disposed between the first lens element and the image surface is beneficial for increasing the viewing angle of the imaging optical lens assembly, thereby providing a wider field of view for the same.

The mechanical component may include a movable element, such as a blade array or a light-shielding film. The light modulator may include a shielding element, such as a filter, an electrochromic material, or a liquid crystal layer. The aperture control unit controls the amount of incident light or the exposure time to improve the ability to adjust image quality. Furthermore, the aperture control unit may be the aperture stop of the present disclosure, which changes the f-number to achieve different imaging effects, such as depth of field or the lens's maximum aperture.

Each optical element may be, but need not be, a filter, a polarizer, etc., and each optical element may be, but need not be, a single-piece element, a composite component, a thin film, etc. The optical element may be located on the object side or the image side of the imaging optical lens assembly, or between any two adjacent lens elements, to transmit light in a specific shape to meet application requirements.

[0071] According to the present disclosure, the imaging optical lens assembly may include at least one optical lens element, an optical element, or a substrate having at least one surface with an anti-reflective layer. The anti-reflective layer can effectively reduce stray light resulting from light reflection at the interface. The anti-reflective layer may be disposed in an optically ineffective region of an object-side surface or an image-side surface of the optical lens element, or a connecting surface between the object-side surface and the image-side surface. The optical element may be a light-blocking element, an annular spacer, a barrel element, a cover glass, a blue glass, a filter, a color filter, an optical path folding element (e.g., a reflective element), a prism, a mirror, etc.The carrier may be a base for supporting a lens array, a microlens arranged on an image sensor, a substrate surrounding the image sensor, a glass plate for protecting the image sensor, etc.

[0072] According to the present disclosure, the object side and the image side are defined according to the direction of the optical axis, and the axial optical data is calculated along the optical axis. When the optical axis is deflected by a light folding element, the axial optical data is also calculated along the deflected optical axis.
