Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a slotted nut according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] T-slot nuts of this type are already known. A T-slot nut according to the generic term is already known from DE 202013002553 U1. It discloses a T-slot nut that has a clamping area for transmitting force into a T-shaped groove of a structural profile. The narrow side of the clamping area engages the groove of the profile. The wide side of the clamping area rests positively in the T-slot after the T-slot nut has been rotated upwards during the assembly process. The clamping area has a locking area designed such that, when the T-slot nut is in its installed position, it fills the narrow area of the profile's T-slot, preventing the T-slot nut from rotating.
[0003] Similar designs are known from DE 7025063 U1 and EP 1061217 A2. The T-slot nuts are made of metal, which increases the mechanical strength of the T-slot nut and the thread required there. The T-slot nut is designed to be rotated 90° without any additional mechanical aid after insertion into the groove and then remain fixed without further rotation until the fastening screw moves the T-slot nut into its clamping position.
[0004] A problem can arise if the groove dimensions fluctuate due to manufacturing tolerances, causing the clamping areas to not fit tightly enough to withstand the frictional torque of the screw connection. The slot nut pushes the groove side walls apart and rotates without changing the position of the slot nut relative to the fastening screw.
[0005] The object of the invention is therefore to provide a slot nut which, on the one hand, enables reliable clamping in the undercut groove and, on the other hand, interacts with the groove side walls despite tolerance and dimensional deviations.
[0006] The solution involves attaching an elastically deformable element to the clamping area, which rests against the long side wall of the T-slot. The elastic element ensures secure interaction between the slot nut and the T-slot and compensates for tolerances, different dimensions, or deformations of the T-slot. The clamping area, which is subject to high mechanical stress, can still be made of metal and transmit large forces. This also creates a desirable separation between the materials of the slot nut on the one hand and the profile on the other. Particularly with aluminum profiles, the formation of a galvanic cell can lead to undesirable corrosion in the contact area. In addition, the selected arrangement allows the component with the slot nut to still move in the fitting receiving groove, reducing any noise that may arise.
[0007] In order to fix the slot nut in an assembly position, locking recesses are provided on the upper side of the foot facing the surface and locking projections are attached to the surface of the component, which engage in the locking recesses in preferred fastening positions.
[0008] In order to maximize the stability of the slotted nut, the base is designed as a metal part.
[0009] A simple design provides for the base to have open-edged recesses for accommodating a fastening projection of the elastic element. The fastening edges intended for securing the elastic element can thus be provided in a simple manner.
[0010] A further development provides for the base to have a centrally mounted sleeve-like mounting lug. The sleeve-like mounting lug can be integrally formed onto a plate-shaped base or connected to the base as a sleeve-like add-on via a coupling section. The mounting lug also forms the rotation axis of the slotted nut.
[0011] In order to be able to rotate the slotted nut, the fastening attachment is provided with a tool engagement.
[0012] Further advantageous embodiments are shown in the drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a slotted nut in a spatial representation in plan view, Fig. 2 a slotted nut in a spatial representation in a view from below, Fig. 3 a section of a fitting part in side view with a slotted nut attached underneath, Fig. 4 a section of a fitting part in side view with a slot block mounted underneath in the locked position, and Fig. 5 a section of a wing profile.
[0013] In the Fig. 1 shows the slotted nut 1. The slotted nut 1 has a base 2 which is essentially cuboidal in shape. The longitudinal extent 3 and the width 4 are adapted to the dimensions of the slot 5 ( Fig. 5). The groove 5 is defined by two parallel groove ribs 6 and 7. The groove ribs 6 and 7 terminate in two mutually facing strips 8 and 9. The strips 8 and 9 are spaced 10 apart. The groove ribs 6 and 7 are spaced 11 apart. The groove ribs 6 and 7 form a support for a fitting on the upper side 12. The profile 13 serves to form a sash, and the groove 5 accommodates a connecting rod fitting.
[0014] The width 4 of the slotted nut 1 is matched to the distance 10 between the strips 8 and 9 and allows the slotted nut 1 to be guided with its longitudinal extension 3 along the groove 5 between the strips 8 and 9. If the slotted nut 1 is rotated transversely to the longitudinal extension of the groove 5, the slotted nut 1 engages under the strips 8, 9 with its longitudinal extension 3.
[0015] An elastically deformable element 15 is attached to the plate-shaped foot 2. The elastic element 15 is part of a clamping area which, when the sliding block 1 is fastened, engages under the strips 8, 9. A fastening projection 16 is also attached to the foot 2. In the exemplary embodiment, the centrally mounted, sleeve-like fastening projection 16 is formed as a single piece onto a plate-shaped foot 2. Alternatively, it can also be provided that this is connected to the foot 2 as a sleeve-like additional part via a coupling section. For this case, a polygonal recess can be provided in the foot 2, into which the fastening projection 16 engages. In this case, the fastening projection 16 is also sleeve-like and has a tool engagement 17. In the exemplary embodiment, the tool engagement 17 also passes through the foot 2.
[0016] The elastic element 15 is designed as a plastic part and engages according to the embodiment of the Fig. 1 with a drop-shaped projection 18 into an open-edged recess 19 of the foot 2. The end of the elastic element 15 opposite the projection 18 is provided with a groove 20. As a result, the element 15 encompasses the foot 2 on both flat sides of the foot 2. To maximize the stability of the sliding block 7, the foot 2 is designed as a metal part.
[0017] The arrangement of element 15 ensures that, after rotation of the slot nut 1, the element 15 rests against the slot webs 6, 7, i.e., the long side wall of the T-slot 5. The selected arrangement decouples the component from the slot nut and the sash profile, so that the component remains movable in the fitting receiving groove and any noise that may occur during operation is reduced. The elastic element 15 allows an approximately 90° rotation of the slot nut 1 and ensures secure interaction of the slot nut 1 with the groove 5. The element 15, attached to each longitudinal end 21 of the foot 2, compensates for tolerances or different dimensions 11 or deformations of the groove 5. In addition, the element 15 releasably clamps the slot nut 1. This allows the connection between the slotted nut 1 and both the slotted bars 6, 7 and the strips 8, 9 to be designed to optimize friction.
[0018] In order to secure the sliding block 1 in an assembly position, locking recesses 25 are provided on the upper side 24 of the foot 2 facing the flat surface 23, and locking projections 27 are attached to the flat surface 23 of the component 26 facing the sliding block 1, which engage in the locking recesses 25 in preferred fastening positions. The sliding block 1 can thus be fixed in preferred positions relative to the component 26 and signals the respective position to the person performing assembly. The sliding block 1 is attached in a recess 28 on the underside of the component 26. Above the recess 28, a strip 29 is provided for resting on the strips 8, 9 of the groove 5. The strips 8, 9 are received between the strip 29 and the sliding block 1.
