Description

The invention relates to a wheelchair tire cleaning apparatus for cleaning the large tires of a wheelchair according to claim 1.Wheelchair riders who have only a single wheelchair available for use both outside and inside their home are certainly aware of the very cumbersome problem only too well: one takes the dirt from the drag-ons all the time into the home. Especially in the case of bad weather and in the wet cold seasons, this provides considerable cleaning effort if coarse dirt, moisture, stones and soil are brought into the home in the profiles of the tires, where they must then be removed again laboriously. The wheelchair user cannot handle the cleaning of his tires on his own. It is thus permanently dependent on the third party's aid. In this case, independence and independence for handicapped people is one of the largest and most important targets. It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a wheelchair tire cleaning apparatus which enables the wheelchair user to clean the tires of his wheelchair independently. This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.The large tires of a wheelchair are positioned in contact with the two rollers between the two rollers. Thus, the wheelchair tires can be rotated without horizontal movement of the wheelchair and the cleaning device between the two rollers thereby clean the wheelchair tires. Thus, the wheelchair user can clean the tires of his wheelchair independently and alone. After the cleaning operation, the wheelchair user moves his wheelchair out of the region between the two rollers by means of a jerk-like drive rotation,According to the preferred embodiment of claim 2, the cleaning device is designed as a brush device which can be brought into contact with both wheelchair tires.According to the preferred embodiment of claim 3, at least one of the two rollers comprises a releasable locking device. After the cleaning process, the locking device is activated so that the wheelchair user can move his wheelchair out of the region between the two rollers more easily. The advantageous embodiment according to claim 4 makes it possible to rotatably mount the two rollers in the side walls of the trough-shaped base body. The tub-shaped base body also collects the dirt from the wheelchair tires. The rectangular configuration of the base body according to claim 5 provides a simple structure and the pivot bearings of the two rollers can be integrated without problems into opposite side walls. The advantageous embodiment according to claim 6 makes it possible to ensure that the cleaning elements have sufficient contact with the wheelchair tires for different sizes.According to the preferred embodiment of claim 7, the cleaning device need not extend over the entire width of the wheelchair. Rather, only two cleaning elements are required, each of which is positioned under one of the two wheelchair tires.According to the preferred embodiment of claim 8, a washing of the wheelchair tires and thus a more thorough cleaning can be effected. The advantageous embodiment according to claim 9 facilitates entry into the exit from the wheelchair tire cleaning device. The wheelchair tire cleaning apparatus according to the present invention has the following advantages:cleaning the tires before entering the homeThis is feasible simply, conveniently and without effortusable independently and independently of auxiliary persons for the wheelchair userpurely mechanical designInstallable in the outer area in a space-saving manner- Uncomplicated constructionnot interfering with other family membersgood cleaning performance with coarse dirt adhesions or moistureFurther details, features and advantages will become apparent from the following description of an exemplary embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a schematic illustration of the exemplary embodiment in a sectional illustration from the side.FIG. 1 shows a base body 2 in the form of a cuboidal trough having a base 4 and respectively mutually opposite rectangular front and rear side walls 5 and left and right side walls 6. In the two mutually opposite side walls 6, two rollers 10 are rotatably mounted in the manner of a brake testing system in the TUV. Between the two rollers 10 one of two large wheelchair wheels 12 in contact with the two rollers 10 is shown schematically. Between the two rollers 10 a cleaning device 12 in the form of two brush elements is arranged on the floor 4. The two brush elements 12 are height-adjustable and laterally adjustable and can thus be brought into contact with the two wheelchair wheels 12.In order to facilitate the travel of the wheelchair tire cleaning device, the two rollers comprise a releasable locking device-not shown-by means of which the rotation capability of the two rollers can be temporarily inhibited. Before driving on the wheelchair tire cleaning device, this locking device is activated so that the wheelchair driver can position his wheelchair between the two rollers and on the two rollers without problem. Then, the locking device is released and the two brush members 12 are brought into contact with the rims of the two large wheelchair wheels 14. The wheelchair user manually rotates the two wheelchair wheels 14 and thereby clean the two tire chair wheels. Once the cleaning has been completed, the locking device is activated again and the wheelchair user can easily leave the wheelchair tire cleaning device via the exit ramp 8.List of reference characters2 Rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular rectangular
