An incentive-based grocery cart washing and disinfecting system including a consumer special-offer coupon applying apparatus, for use in a batch or continuous process comprising a housing having at least one pipe manifold with nozzles positioned therein to provide at least one treatment zone selected from pre-wash, wash, disinfecting, and rinse zones. In addition, blown air water-stripping/drying zones may be provided, with a heating source to assist drying. Following drying, a strip of specially adapted grocery coupons is optionally applied to the grocery cart handle, so that the coupons can be redeemed by customers during their subsequent shopping. The housing is generally a linear tunnel permitting access of soiled carts at one end and removal of the clean, disinfected carts at the other end. A cart pusher system may be employed to transport the carts through the tunnel either singly or in nested groups. A convenient antimicrobial disinfecting solution is a water solution of hypochlorite. A single zone system is disclosed in which in a selected, optionally preprogrammed, sequence of application of pre-wash, wash, rinse, and disinfecting fluids are delivered to selected surfaces of the cart, followed by blown air, preferably heated, for stripping/drying,. The coupon strip comprises a leader portion and a coupon portion, and the leader can be wrapped and fixed around the grocery cart handle manually or by means of the automated machinery described. The system of the invention may be a fixed or mobile system, with the use preferably being on site at stores.

The invention relates to equipment and a method for intelligently automatically cleaning vehicles. The equipment comprises a pull guide rail. The pull guide rail is arranged on a side of a ground grid, a first upright column is vertically mounted at the right end of the ground grid, a first transverse beam is fixedly connected with the top of the first upright column, a second upright column is mounted at the rear of the first upright column, a second transverse beam is fixedly connected with the top of the second upright column, longitudinal beams are mounted between the first transverse beam and the second transverse beam, and a third transverse beam is mounted at the tail ends of the longitudinal beams. A second water spray pipe and a water wax spray pipe are arranged between the first transverse beam and the second transverse beam, and a top brush device is mounted on the second upright column. A vertical brush device is mounted on the third transverse beam. Wheel brush devices are symmetrically mounted on the side surfaces of the pull guide rail and are positioned between the first upright column and the second upright column. The equipment and the method have the advantages that mechanical structures can be simplified, power consumption and water consumption can be reduced, failure rates of machinery can be decreased, and the later-stage maintenance cost can be saved; the equipment is additionally provided with an automatic control system, accordingly, the vehicles can be fully automatically cleaned, and the work efficiency can be improved.

A vehicle washing system including a frame having an overhead section and a pair of generally opposing side support sections. The vehicle washing system includes an entrance and an exit side. The vehicle washing system also includes a plurality of rails that extend generally in the direction between the entrance side and the exit side. The frame linearly reciprocates along the plurality of rails to travel over a stationary vehicle. The frame has a first fluid dispensing device located in the half adjacent its entrance side and a second fluid dispensing device located adjacent its exit side. The first fluid dispensing device includes a plurality of manifolds each of which is in communication with a supply of fluid to apply fluid to the vehicle. The second fluid dispensing device includes a plurality of manifolds each of which is in communication with a supply of fluid to apply fluid to the vehicle. The vehicle washing system includes a control system that is in communication with each of the manifolds in the first fluid dispensing device and each of the manifolds of the second fluid dispensing device to selectively and independently control the type of fluid emitted from each of the manifolds and in what order during the vehicle cleaning process.
