A lighting system for low temperature environments includes a plurality of light emitting diodes attached to a support member mounted within a refrigeration unit or the like for illuminating contents thereof. A reflector is disclosed adjacent to the light emitting diodes for dispersing the light therefrom. A light transmitting cover overlies the light emitting diodes, and preferably includes non-planar surfaces for dispersing light onto objects within the refrigeration unit. A power supply converts alternating current voltage to a lower direct current voltage for powering the light emitting diodes in a safe manner.

An LED lighting includes a lamp holder defining at least one receiving space having two partitions provided at two ends thereof, and at least one lamp bank including at least one LED each. The lamp bank is received in the receiving space of the lamp holder by extending two conductive metal cylindrical members located in the two partitions into through holes on two metal end plates at two ends of the lamp bank. The metal cylindrical members are electrically connected to positive and negative electrodes of a power supply, and the two metal end plates serve as two power input ends of the lamp bank. The lamp bank is rotatable about the two metal cylindrical members to adjust the LED light projecting direction while the two metal end plates are in contact with and accordingly electrically connected to the metal cylindrical members to keep the LED in an illuminating state.

A lighting system with removable light modules mounted on a frame by an attractive force between magnetic material of the light module and magnetic material of the frame such that a light module may be installed on, removed from, or relocated on the frame manually without tools or permanent electrical connection. The frame may be one-, two-, or three-dimensional, and it may provide an aesthetic appearance even when the lighting system is not illuminated. The light modules may employ incandescent, quartz-halogen, LED, or fluorescent light sources. Particularly, in LED embodiments, the magnetic materials serve the dual functions of mounting and heat sinking. Various embodiments described herein include lighting systems that produce an optical beam. Moreover, in various embodiments, the beam may be altered to provide, for example, a narrow beam or a wide beam. One such lighting system includes a light source, a diffusing optical element, and a projection lens. The diffusing optical element is disposed between the light source and the projection lens and can be translated to provide zoom capability.

A hand-held device for gripping objects positioned beyond arm's length, comprising a pair of jaws movable relative to each other between an unclamped position and a fully clamped position; a handle spaced apart from the jaws by a central portion, the handle including a trigger connected to the jaws by a pull member, whereby actuation of the trigger is operative to move the jaws between the unclamped and fully clamped positions thereof, and a locking mechanism selectively operable to lock the jaws in at least one intermediate position defined between the unclamped and fully clamped positions; and wherein the pull member is sufficiently resilient so as to permit the jaws to be temporarily urged away from each other towards the unclamped position when the pair of jaws are locked in the at least one intermediate position.

Position adjustable self-illuminated panel units may be used in combination with conventional shelf supports. Preferred shelf-units include a light-transmissive panel, a shelf frame holding the panel and having an illumination element for providing a light source to illuminate the panel, and a magnetic connector electrically interconnected to the illumination element and adapted to being magnetically and electrically coupled to a source of electrical power. The illumination element most preferably includes an LED strip housed within one member of the frame and positioned adjacent to an edge of the panel. A magnetic connector includes a pair of electrically conductive side panels, an electrically non-conductive spacer sandwiched between the side panels, and a pair of magnet bars fixed to the spacer. The magnet bars define an air gap therebetween such that electrical contact may be established between the magnet bars and a respective one of the side panels. Shelf lighting systems according to the present invention will most preferably include a self-illuminated panel unit as described briefly above, and a ferromagnetic power strip for supplying electrical power thereto. The magnetic connector is therefore capable of magnetic and electrical interconnection to the power strip (e.g., via the magnet bars thereof so as to in turn supply power to the panel unit (e.g., via lead wires connecting the side panels to the LED strip).

The invention provides an elongated lighting fixture with multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs) arrayed in two groups that are angled to each other. The fixture provides an extremely broad light emitting angle and includes an elongated housing having a pair of side walls. Each side wall has a support member extending upward at angle from the side wall, wherein the side walls terminate at a central wall. A generally transparent cover is connected to the housing and extends between opposed ends of the housing. A first group of LEDs and a second group of LEDs are mounted to the first support member and the second support member, respectively. PCB boards assemblies are affixed to respective support members beneath the group of LEDs by tension clips. When the PCBs are energized by a power source, current travels from the PCBs to each LED for illumination.

An incentive-based grocery cart washing and disinfecting system including a consumer special-offer coupon applying apparatus, for use in a batch or continuous process comprising a housing having at least one pipe manifold with nozzles positioned therein to provide at least one treatment zone selected from pre-wash, wash, disinfecting, and rinse zones. In addition, blown air water-stripping/drying zones may be provided, with a heating source to assist drying. Following drying, a strip of specially adapted grocery coupons is optionally applied to the grocery cart handle, so that the coupons can be redeemed by customers during their subsequent shopping. The housing is generally a linear tunnel permitting access of soiled carts at one end and removal of the clean, disinfected carts at the other end. A cart pusher system may be employed to transport the carts through the tunnel either singly or in nested groups. A convenient antimicrobial disinfecting solution is a water solution of hypochlorite. An assembly for fixing and connecting a polygonal LED light bar lamp includes a fixing seat, a covering plug, and an electrical connector. The fixing seat has a bottom with both edges thereof extending to form two bevels and parallel plates. The bottom and bevels have a penetrating hole, respectively. The covering plug has a cover having an insertion hole. Two electrode pins are disposed in the interior of the insertion hole. The electrical connector has a partitioning block. Both sides of the partitioning block have a protruding pillar, respectively. The protruding pillar is provided with a hollow pillar having electrodes for contacting with electrode pins. With the fixing seat being fixed on a carrier, the light bar can be held in the fixing seat with adjustable irradiating direction. Further, two light bars can be connected in series by the electrical connector.

A lighting system including a low voltage frame, a puck magnetically joinable with the frame, a lighting array, and an elongated electrical connector joining the puck and the lighting array. The puck can be selectively positioned along the low voltage frame in a variety of different locations. The puck can be constructed from a polymeric material molded over electrical connectors, and optionally a power feed, such as a cable jack. The electrical connectors can be magnetized so that the electrical connectors are magnetically attracted to power rails on the low voltage frame to establish electrical coupling of the connectors to the power rails, while physically securing the puck in a fixed location along the low voltage frame. The power rails can be constructed from magnetic stainless steel, optionally coated with black oxide from a hot black oxide coating process.

Disclosed herein is a light fixture. The light fixture includes at least one first light source that emits at a peak wavelength in a range of approximately 380 nm to approximately 420 nm and at least one second light source that emits at a different peak wavelength, wherein a combined light output of the at least one first light source and the at least one second light source emits a colored light that is perceived as white light. The white light is defined by having a color rendering index (CRI) value of more than approximately 50. The at least one second light source that emits at a different peak wavelength consists of an xy coordinate on a International Commission on Illumination (CIE) 1931 xy color space diagram above a black body curve within a bounded area defined by a first line of approximately y=2.23989x−0.382773 and a second line of approximately y=1.1551x−0.195082. The combined light output has a proportion of spectral energy measured in the approximately 380 nm to approximately 420 nm range of greater than approximately 20%.

Disclosed is a lamp for a display stand or a rack, to be secured to a shelf and designed as an adaptable lamp to be removably hung at the shelving edge (3) and to project light beams (LS) on the shelf front face and the lower part of the display rack (3). The inventive adaptable lamp resembles a light channel to be fitted into a U-shaped moulding in the rack front face (3) in such a way that it occupies the whole width of the light channel, in which both the lamp casing and the lamp itself, preferably a set of fluorescent lamps, are incorporated. The light channel (LK) profile (7) is designed so that the channel can house the lamp casing in a fixed position (5), and that the front and lower profile area (8, 9) can let the light beams (LS) through.

A display assembly with low voltage powered lighting includes a connection surface, a low voltage conductor, a power supply, and a board. The connection surface has a cavity and an aperture providing access to the cavity. The low voltage conductor is positioned within the cavity of the connection surface and is accessible through the aperture. The low voltage conductor is defined by 0.01 to 48.00 volts. The power supply is operatively connected to the low voltage conductor, and the power supply is set to 4 to 48 volts. The board includes a plurality of light emitting diodes and a driver. The driver interconnects the plurality of light emitting diodes and the low voltage conductor. The low voltage conductor provides power to any number of boards within the capability of the power supply.

An illumination lens according to an exemplary embodiment includes a light incident surface that defines a cavity and has a flat top and lateral flanks, the light incident surface being configured to receive light from an underlying light emitting element. An improved hand-held two-stage cat-litter scooper tool critically configured to more effectively segregate and lift-away wet cat-litter, without causing migration into, or disturbing clean dry areas. The planar leading-edge of the scooping-blade portion, is formed to either a 90-degree triangular, or transversely-square, plan-view shape; either shape thus able to project closely into the corners of a conventional cat-litter box. The rear portion of either scooping-blade includes an approximate 40-degree transverse-bend, creating an aftward containment-bowl area, effectively holding wet cat-litter when the rearward projecting handle is tilted down (the scooping-blade thus tilting upward) after a horizontal forward scooping motion. The handle is arranged along the medial longitudinal-axis of the tool, angling upward at approximately 45-degrees relative to the plane of the scooping-blade, facilitating the special "tilt-loading action" without dragging of one's hand into the cat-litter.
