6994 results about "Carriage" patented technology

A carriage is a wheeled vehicle for people, usually horse-drawn; litters (palanquins) and sedan chairs are excluded, since they are wheelless vehicles. The carriage is especially designed for private passenger use, though some are also used to transport goods. A public passenger vehicle would not usually be called a carriage – terms for such include stagecoach, charabanc and omnibus. It may be light, smart and fast or heavy, large and comfortable or luxurious. Carriages normally have suspension using leaf springs, elliptical springs (in the 19th century) or leather strapping. Working vehicles such as the (four-wheeled) wagon and (two-wheeled) cart share important parts of the history of the carriage, as does too the fast (two-wheeled) chariot.

Wall-mounted home fitness training equipment

An overall fitness trainer and can be a wall mounted unit that can utilize clip resistance bands as well as other techniques. These bands generally clip on the unit and onto different handles, bars and attachments to perform exercises. The unit can have a removable/adjustable pull up bar, dip bar and seat. It also includes a spring loaded, pull pin carriage that moves freely up and down a vertical spine. This allows for easy adjustment of the carriage and allows the user to attach the bands at multiple angles, widths and levels. This in turn increases the number of exercises the user can perform on the unit. The unit also typically has an o ring that attaches through the arm of the pull up attachment as well as a ½ O-ring at the bottom of the unit again increasing the number of exercises the user can perform. The unit can be attached to the wall with lag bolts into two or more studs. Some embodiments of the invention have an adjustable swivel foot that takes the stress off of the lag bolts and also adds to the overall load capacity of the unit. The apparatus typically has an optional telescoping central vertical spine that splits in two pieces to make the unit easier to ship. The central vertical spine allows attachments to be added and removed using spring loaded pins or plunger pins. Various embodiments of the invention can have an oscillating and telescopic bench, a dip bar, a seat, a knee stabilizer and a foot rest. All of these accessories can be attached and removed to the central spine adding to the versatility and scope of exercises that can be performed.

Automatic Injection Device For Two-Chamber Ampoules

An injection device for holding and activating a two-chamber ampulla has components whose relative movement causes the pistons of the two-chamber ampulla to be moved in order to mix the substances, as well as devices for injecting the product which is mixed in this way. For this purpose, a receptacle (103) into which the two-chamber ampulla (111) can be inserted and secured is held in a housing (101), and the receptacle (103) can be displaced by means of a carriage (108). A tappet (104) which acts on the pistons (111A, 111B) is movably held in the receptacle (103). A traction cable (114) which is deflected by means of a roller (109) which is mounted on the carriage (108) and one of whose ends is connected to the receptacle (103) and the other end of which is connected to a tension spring (110) which is held on the housing (101) is provided in order to carry out a mixing stroke, insertion stroke, injection stroke and a return stroke. Devices which can be activated automatically and/or manually between the housing (101), receptacle (103), tappet (104) and carriage (108) control their alternating coupling to the traction cable (114) and thus the sequence of the mixing stroke, insertion stroke, injection stroke and return stroke. The invention thus provides a partially automatic injection device for two-chamber ampullas whose handling comfort and safety for the patient are substantially improved.

Method and apparatus for providing force feedback using multiple grounded actuators

InactiveUS6946812B1Highly realistic force feedbackInertial contribution is lowProgramme-controlled manipulatorComputer controlClosed loopActuator
An apparatus and method for interfacing the motion of a user-manipulable object with a computer system includes a user object physically contacted or grasped by a user. A 3-D spatial mechanism is coupled to the user object, such as a stylus or a medical instrument, and provides three degrees of freedom to the user object. Three grounded actuators provide forces in the three degrees of freedom. Two of the degrees of freedom are a planar workspace provided by a closed-loop linkage of members, and the third degree of freedom is rotation of the planar workspace provided by a rotatable carriage. Capstan drive mechanisms transmit forces between actuators and the user object and include drums coupled to the carriage, pulleys coupled to-grounded actuators, and flexible cables transmitting force between the pulleys and the drums. The flexibility of the cable allows the drums to rotate with the carriage while the pulleys and actuators remain fixed to ground. The interface also may include a floating gimbal mechanism coupling the linkage to the user object. The floating gimbal mechanism includes rotatably coupled gimbal members that provide three degrees of freedom to the user object and capstan mechanisms coupled between sensors and the gimbal members for providing enhanced sensor resolution.

Solar flying automobile with folding wings

The invention discloses a flying automobile with front folding wings and rear folding wings are arranged in series. The front wings are arranged on two sides of the front part of an automobile body; the rear wings are arranged on two sides of the rear part of the automobile body; after being turned and folded, the front wings can be collected on two sides of the automobile body in parallel or collected in a front carriage in a vertical stacking manner; after being turned and folded, the rear wings can be collected on the rear upper side on the top of the automobile body; large-area solar battery panels are arranged on the surfaces of respective parts of the wings and the automobile body; when the wings are unfolded completely, the flying automobile is turned into a serially-arranged fixed wing airplane and becomes a giant solar charger, and the solar battery panels and batteries supply power; when the wings are folded, the appearance and the size of the flying automobile are the same as those of a common sedan; and an underwater propeller is arranged at the bottom of the automobile, so that the flying automobile can be landed on water and sails in the water. The flying automobile is well combined with functions of an airplane, an automobile and a ship and is environment-friendly and high in continuous voyage capacity and suitable for families.

Dynamic detection method for preventing wagon from turning towards one side on bending road and pre-warning apparatus

The invention relates to a rollover prevention dynamic detection method for a wagon on a curved conduit and a warning device. The method comprises the following steps: 1, installing a rollover prevention dynamic detection method for a wagon on a curved conduit which comprises a steering wheel rotation angle measuring device, a yaw angle velocity measuring device, an inclination angle measuring device and an electronic control unit which comprises a single chip microcomputer, wherein a solidification program of the single chip microcomputer is equipped with a centroid height dynamic detection algorithm module and a rollover prevention warning algorithm module, and a rollover alarming range is arranged in the rollover prevention warning algorithm module. 2, collecting steering wheel rotation angle singles, vertical yaw angle velocity measuring singles of the wagon, side-tipping angle singles of a carriage of the wagon, the side-tipping angle singles of a rear shaft of the wagon and vertical speed singles of the wagon. 3, a lateral acceleration and a centroid height of the wagon is counted through the centroid height dynamic detection algorithm module. 4, counting a rollover acceleration threshold value through the rollover prevention warning algorithm module according to the centroid height. 5, sending a corresponding alarm command according to a difference value of the lateral acceleration and the rollover acceleration threshold value of the wagon and the reset rollover alarm range.
