An inhaler for multiple dosed administration of a pharmacological dry powder consists externally of a housing (100,150) and of a protective cap (950) which can be removed from a special mouthpiece (900) fitted on the housing. Arranged on the inside there are a slide rail (200), a dosing slide (300), a shutter (400), a carriage (500), a funnel arrangement (600), a counter device (700), a valve shield (800) and a valve guide (850). An overhead rotary valve fitted into a cylinder head with diametrical polygonal openings formed therein for use in combination with an internal combustion engine, driven to bring intake and exhaust ports into and out of alignment with passages leading to and from the combustion chamber. Sleeve bearings are fitted in the cylinder head that provide surface sealing, and annular sealing members prevent the air/fuel mixture or exhaust gases from flowing into regions intermediate ports and individual cylinders. Utilizing this overhead rotary valve and associated seals and bearings increases the efficiency and performance of an internal combustion engine. The overhead rotary valve rotating, at one quarter the speed of the crankshaft, minimizes wear and noise levels, self cleans the ports, allows the engine to operate at higher rpm and imparts proper opening and closing of passages at the proper sequence of valve timing without concern of valve float. The instant invention removes the need for reciprocating intake and exhaust valves, camshafts, rocker arms, lifters, push rods, valve guides and retainers, and other related hardware for actuation, significantly increasing the reliability and effectiveness of the internal combustion engine, while reducing overall manufacturing costs.

A valve device comprises: a valve chamber having an inlet port at one end and a valve seat at the other end; a valve housing containing the valve chamber; the valve chamber accommodating a spherical valve element which performs opening and closing operation to the valve seat, and a valve spring which urges the valve element in a closing direction; and a push rod which penetrates a center hole of the valve seat and pushes the valve element in an opening direction. A cylindrical valve guide member is fit into the valve chamber, the cylindrical valve guide member including a plurality of guide projections on an inner peripheral surface to guide opening and closing operation of the valve element. Grooves between the plurality of guide projections serve as passages providing communication between the inlet port and the valve seat. Thus, it is possible to provide a valve device which can open and close the spherical valve element in an appropriate posture without lateral oscillation while securing the passages between the inlet port and the valve seat of the valve chamber.

A valve stem seal assembly includes a retainer and a sealing element disposed within the retainer. The retainer includes a step and one or more installation pads. The sealing element includes a first sealing lip for sealing a valve stem, and a second sealing lip for sealing a chamfer of a valve guide. The step of the retainer exerts a compression force, F, against the second sealing lip to seal the second sealing lip against the chamber of the valve guide. The one or more installation pads exerts a frictional force against the valve guide to prevent movement of said valve stem seal assembly. When a cable support structure according to the present invention is applied to a slide door in a vehicle, a first support member (20) and a second support member (30) support one end portion and another end portion in a cable guide (1) in a state capable of swinging them in a vertical direction approximately perpendicular to a sliding direction (Q) of a slide door (SD). A two piece intake valve for internal combustion engines comprising an inner and an outer valve which can be designed with orbicular heads. The inner valve including a stem of a smaller outer diameter than the outer valve. The outer valve including a hollow stem large enough to accept the inner valve stem, an inner valve guide, and an inner valve control spring and retainer mechanism. The outer valve also including a valve seat in the center of its bottom face to seat the inner valve. The head, or base, being equipped with one or more vents which communicate between the intake port and the combustion chamber and being releasably opened and sealed off by the inner valve. The vented valve unit incorporating an independent actuation means by way of pressure differentials created by the induction cycle, and/or directional inertia factors of the mechanically controlled valve element. The invention discloses a device for detecting the position degree of valve guide pipe holes of a cylinder cover of an engine. A valve assembly is disclosed comprising a valve member with an elastomeric upper stem guide and a lower valve guide comprising lateral support members including an angled surface. During operation, fluid impacting the angled surface imparts a rotational force on the lower valve guide and valve member. Consequently, the valve member strikes a sealing member in different rotational positions during repetitive cycling of the valve assembly.
