A chromatic confocal measuring device (1) for a parameter of a surface (2) of a sample, the device comprising: a light source (4) configured to generate an illumination beam (6), an axially chromatic objective (8) configured to apply the illumination beam (6) to the surface (2) of the sample and to retransmit a backscattered beam from the surface (2) of the sample to a measuring arm (10), the measuring device comprising a beam splitter block (20) configured to make two reflections in a beam splitter (23) to a so-called reflected beam among the illumination beam (6) and the backscattered beam (9), an optical compensator (24) being disposed in the direct path of the other beam.
