Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electric fence element and an electric fence in the form of an electric fence constructed from several such electric fence elements. Traditional electric fences are typically constructed from an electrically conductive mesh or one or more horizontally stretched electrically conductive strips. These conventional electric fences therefore blend into their surroundings only to a limited extent and can thus be perceived as disruptive in public areas, zoos, animal parks, wildlife parks, etc. The present invention is therefore based on the objective of providing a pasture fence element and a pasture fence constructed therefrom in the form of an electric fence, which are as invisible as possible when assembled or can at least be better integrated into the surroundings. The foregoing problem is solved by a pasture fence element according to claim 1 and a pasture fence according to claim 12. Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the following dependent claims. An electric fence element 10 shown in Fig. 1, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, has several electrically conductive wires 1, the first ends 11 of which are received in a base tube 3 and whose second ends 12 can be freely shaped. The first ends 11 in the base tube 3 can be connected to a power source, and the base tube 3 is designed to be anchored in a fixed position with electrical insulation. The electric fence element according to the invention with the aforementioned configuration can therefore be provided in the form of a clump of grass, a shrub, or a tree, and thus blend ideally into an environment of use, for example, outdoors. This is all the more true if the essential components of the electric fence element are also designed in an inconspicuous color that matches the environment of use. The electrically conductive wires 1 can be made of a suitable material that is electrically conductive and allows for plastic deformation. In addition to metals, composite materials are also conceivable. Furthermore, the electrically conductive wires 1 can also be multi-part, provided that this multi-part structure does not impair the free shaping of the second ends 12 of the wires 1. In the electric fence element 10 shown in Fig. 1, the upper end of the base tube 3, from which the electrically conductive wires 1 protrude, can be sealed liquid-tight with a suitable sealant or sealing element, preventing any liquid from penetrating the base tube 3 from above. Alternatively, the upper end of the base tube 3 can be open, and the base tube can be sealed liquid-tight at a suitable point above a connection point between the electrically conductive wires 1 and the power source. In this case, a drain opening is provided in the base tube 3 immediately above the sealing point, allowing any water penetrating the base tube 3 from above to drain outwards and preventing short circuits and / or corrosion within the base tube. Furthermore, a positioning element, for example in the form of a perforated plate or the like, can be provided in the upper area of the base tube 3, which receives the electrically conductive wires 1 in corresponding openings and thus enables a certain (pre-)positioning of the wires 1. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence element according to the invention, the base tube 3 can be attached to and detached from a foot 2 by means of a mechanically detachable connection, the foot 2 being provided for electrically insulating anchoring in the ground 4. By using the foot 2, the electric fence element with the electrically conductive wires 1 contained in the base tube 3 can be easily mounted on the foot 2 anchored in the ground and, if necessary, disassembled without damage, e.g., during the winter months when the electric fence is not needed. The electrically insulating anchoring of the foot 2 in the ground 4 serves, for example, to prevent short circuits. The mechanically detachable connection between the base tube 3 and the foot 2 can be, for example, a screw connection, a threaded connection, a snap connection, a plug connection - with and without a cotter pin - or a bayonet connection, whereby other mechanically detachable connections are also possible. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence element according to the invention, the base tube 3 can be made of an electrically non-conductive material, and the electrically conductive wires 1 can be connected to a power source (not shown) via a connecting piece 5, shown in Fig. 1, which is arranged on the base tube 3. In this configuration, the electrically conductive wires 1 can be reliably and easily connected to the power source via the connecting piece 5. Furthermore, manufacturing costs can be reduced. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence element according to the invention, the base tube 3 or the foot 2 can have a threaded rod for anchoring, which can be anchored in the ground 4. By using the threaded rod, the electric fence element can be mounted at a point of use and dismantled again without damage. According to another exemplary embodiment of the electric fence element according to the invention, the base tube 3 or the foot 2 can be made of electrically non-conductive plastic, in particular fiber-reinforced plastic. A wide variety of plastics are conceivable for this purpose, with which the desired properties of the base tube or the foot can be achieved. In addition to the required strength, a low weight of the base tube or the foot can also be achieved through the use of plastic. Furthermore, the need to insulate the base tube or the foot separately from the ground, for example, is eliminated, and the manufacturing costs can be reduced. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence element according to the invention, the second ends 12 can be shaped such that the electric fence element 10 has a bundle- or tuft-shaped, three-dimensional form. Thus, the electric fence element can, for example, take the form of a tuft of grass or a bush and blend into its surroundings at a point of use in an improved manner, so that it is not obtrusive. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence element according to the invention, the free ends 12 of the electrically conductive wires 1 can be rounded, and / or they can be provided with a loop or with a ball- or button-like protective cap. Such a configuration minimizes the risk of injury emanating from the free ends 12 of the electrically conductive wires 1. The aforementioned loop, ball or button-like protective caps at the free ends 12 of the electrically conductive wires 1 can, according to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence element according to the invention, be electrically conductive, whereby the defensive function of the electric fence element can also be provided at such protected ends of the wires 1. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence element according to the invention, the base tube 3 can be a metal tube which is sheathed with non-conductive plastic, at least in the areas where it is anchored to the material in or to which it is anchored. The metal material for the base tube 3 can be selected taking into account the required strength as well as other desired properties of the base tube 3, such as corrosion resistance. The plastic used for sheathing the base tube 3 can be any plastic which is sufficiently resistant to the mechanical and other stresses that will occur. According to a further exemplary embodiment, the electric fence element according to the invention can have several base tubes 3 that can be modularly connected to one another and in which first ends 11 of electrically conductive wires 1 are received, wherein the electric fence element 10 exhibits a bush- or tree-like structure. Larger bush- or tree-like structures (branches) can be replicated by such an electric fence element with several interconnected base tubes in which first ends of electrically conductive wires are received, thereby increasing the protective or deterrent area of such a modularly constructed electric fence element accordingly, without impairing the natural-looking, plant-like appearance of the electric fence element. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present invention, an electric fence is provided which is constructed with / from several of the aforementioned electric fence elements 10. This allows an electric fence of any desired size to be formed. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence according to the invention, the individual electric fence elements 10 can be electrically connected to each other in parallel and / or in series. For example, one or more of the second ends 12 of the wires 1 of two electric fence elements 10 can be electrically connected to each other, thus allowing the electric fence elements 10 to be connected in series in a simple manner. However, the series connection or circuit of the individual electric fence elements can also be achieved in other ways. According to a further exemplary embodiment of the electric fence according to the invention, the connection of the second ends 12 can be mechanically detachable or a bonded connection. Such a mechanically detachable connection can be achieved, for example, by a threaded engagement or a snap-fit or plug-in connection and allows for non-destructive disassembly of the electric fence. Suitable bonded connections also include, for example, soldered and welded connections as well as connections using an electrically conductive adhesive or another electrically conductive bonding agent.
