The extension shaft 22 and the two machining elements 27 of the tool 20 protrude from the through-opening of the closure cap 40.

[0019] As in Fig. 1 to Fig. 4, the threaded bolt 50 is inserted through the receptacle 32 and the through hole 34 of the fastening element 30 and screwed into the screw hole 13 of the tool holder 10 in order to connect the fastening element 30 and the tool holder 10 to each other.

[0020] Compared to conventional connecting devices for firmly connecting a tool holder to a tool, the present tool holder assembly is advantageous in that the fastening element 30 is provided, which is firmly connected to the interior of the tool holder 10 and has the insert 33 with a polygonal cross-section, and the polygonally profiled fastening bore 23 is arranged at the insertion end 212 of the connecting part 21 of the tool 20. Furthermore, the clamping piece 31 of the fastening element 30 has a polygonal cross-section, and the clamping groove 11 of the tool holder 10 is correspondingly polygonally profiled. The positive engagement between the insert 33 and the mounting hole 23 and the positive engagement between the clamping piece 31 and the clamping groove 11 creates a frictional engagement between the mounting element 30, the tool holder 10, and the tool 20, thereby securing the tool 20 against rotation relative to the tool holder 10. This enables the tool 20 to counteract the counterforce exerted by the workpiece when machining a workpiece. The tool holder arrangement thus achieves greater performance during machining and further contributes to higher machining quality.

[0021] When using the tool holder arrangement, the cross section of the insert 33 of the fastening element 30 and the profile of the fastening bore 23 of the tool 20 are not limited to specific cross sections and profiles, provided that the insert 33 and the fastening bore 23 can be connected to one another in a form-fitting manner. Likewise, the cross section of the clamping piece 31 of the fastening element 30 and the profile of the clamping groove 11 of the tool holder 10 are not limited to specific cross sections and profiles, provided that the clamping piece 31 and the clamping groove 11 can be connected to one another in a form-fitting manner. The cross section and profile can be triangular, square, five-sided, or hexagonal, for example. Furthermore, in the present case, the respective machining element 27 is a blade of a cutting tool for machining.
