Abstract

A portable, bite-activated dispensing system for solid food, consisting of: a flexible container bag made of food-grade silicone, suitable for holding baby food; a bite-activated nozzle integrally formed with the container bag, wherein the bite-activated nozzle comprises multiple outlet holes of different diameters configured to dispense food in response to biting pressure exerted by a baby; a threaded locking ring attached to an opening of the container bag, the locking ring being attached to the container bag with a non-toxic, baby-safe adhesive; a snap-lock support ring configured to connect to the thread locking ring, wherein the snap-lock support ring is further configured to snap into the thread locking ring; a locking column anchored by the snap-lock support ring and configured to provide structural rigidity and maintain vertical alignment between the container bag and the bite-activated nozzle; a base connected to the locking column, which serves as a handle for a caregiver and lifts the spout from contact surfaces; a temperature sensing module configured to detect temperature changes when food is placed into the container bag, with the module being automatically activated upon detection of the temperature changes; an LED glass display integrated into the temperature sensor module that shows information about the food temperature, so that nursing staff can monitor the serving temperature; and An adjustable hand strap that can be wrapped around a caregiver's hand to facilitate one-handed operation.

AREA OF INVENTION

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a portable, bite-activated system for dispensing solid food. More specifically, the present invention relates to a portable, bite-activated system for dispensing solid food for infants and toddlers under three years of age. It features temperature monitoring, responds to biting stimuli, and is ergonomically designed. It enables controlled, one-handed dispensing by caregivers or parents. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Conventional baby food dispensers typically have a limited capacity and require frequent refilling. They generally do not allow for variable feeding based on the infant's bite strength or oral development stage. Furthermore, conventional dispensers lack integrated temperature monitoring systems, leaving parents to guess the correct serving temperature for their child. The ergonomic aspects of one-handed operation are also often overlooked in existing designs, making them less practical when traveling or multitasking.

The invention provides a temperature-monitored, bite-responsive, and ergonomically designed feeding system called BigBite for controlled feeding with one-handed operation by caregivers or parents. The system comprises a bite-activated spout with large and small dispensing holes through which semi-solid food flows directly upon the baby's bite pressure. The bite pressure is proportional to the amount of food released through the holes, thereby promoting the child's oral motor skills and self-regulation. Furthermore, the system includes a temperature-sensitive LED display module integrated into the lid, so that the caregiver is always informed of the serving temperature of the food. All materials used are non-toxic, baby-safe, and easy to clean. The silicone pouch can be completely removed for sterilization.

[1] A portable, bite-activated dispensing system for solid food, consisting of: a flexible container bag made of food-grade silicone, suitable for holding baby food; a bite-activated nozzle integrally formed with the container bag, wherein the bite-activated nozzle comprises multiple outlet holes of different diameters configured to dispense food in response to biting pressure exerted by a baby; a threaded locking ring attached to an opening of the container bag, the locking ring being attached to the container bag with a non-toxic, baby-safe adhesive; a snap-lock support ring configured to connect to the thread locking ring, wherein the snap-lock support ring is further configured to snap into the thread locking ring; a locking column anchored by the snap-lock support ring and configured to provide structural rigidity and maintain vertical alignment between the container bag and the bite-activated nozzle; a base connected to the locking column, which serves as a handle for a caregiver and lifts the spout from contact surfaces; a temperature sensing module configured to detect temperature changes when food is placed into the container bag, with the module being automatically activated upon detection of the temperature changes; an LED glass display integrated into the temperature sensor module that shows information about the food temperature, so that nursing staff can monitor the serving temperature; and An adjustable hand strap that can be wrapped around a caregiver's hand to facilitate one-handed operation.
