Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a head plate for a suspension rod system of a cable tray system, comprising a fastening section for arrangement on a support structure and a receiving section arranged thereon for fastening a suspension rod.
[0002] Cable tray systems serve to neatly guide and securely fasten cables and electrical wires. Suspension systems are frequently used to hang these systems, creating a connection between a ceiling or supporting structure and the cable tray. End plates form a key connecting element between the suspension rod and the supporting structure.
[0003] End plates for suspension systems of cable tray systems typically feature holes or slots for attachment to a supporting structure and the suspension arm. However, in practice, adjustment options during installation can be limited. Deviations in the building geometry or installation tolerances cannot always be compensated for to the desired extent. Therefore, there is a constant need to improve the fastening options, allow for easy adjustment of the suspension arm, and simultaneously ensure a high degree of resistance to twisting and tilting.
[0004] It is therefore an object of the invention to overcome at least one of the aforementioned disadvantages. In particular, a head plate for a suspension rod system of a cable tray system is to be provided that allows flexible and secure attachment of the suspension rod and ensures both easy adjustment and increased stability against twisting and tilting.
[0005] The problem is solved according to the invention by a head plate having the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims and the following description, each of which can individually or in combination represent an aspect of the invention.
[0006] According to the invention, the receiving section of the head plate has at least one central opening for receiving a fastening element, as well as a first and a further arcuate slot, wherein the arcuate slots are arranged one above the other and are designed to allow fastening and adjustment of the suspension arm along a circular path or a segment of a circular arc. This ensures flexible alignment and easy adjustment of the suspension arm without the need for additional machining steps.
[0007] Preferably, the arc-shaped elongated holes are designed to accommodate a fastening element simultaneously with the central opening, thus enabling multiple fixings of the suspension stem to the head plate. This increases the torsional and tilt resistance of the fastening.
[0008] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the head plate features an arrangement in which, when the head plate is vertically oriented relative to the arcuate slots, the central opening is optionally positioned above or below them, with the inner side of the arcuate slots facing the central opening. This covers both "normal" and inverted arrangements, allowing the head plate to be used universally.
[0009] In an advantageous embodiment, the arc-shaped elongated holes are arranged at radially varying distances from the central opening and, in particular, are concentric with the central opening. This enables particularly precise and repeatable adjustment of the suspension stem.
[0010] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the central opening, the first arcuate slot and the second arcuate slot are arranged essentially equidistant from each other.
[0011] To securely fix the suspension arm, the central opening is designed as a round hole to accommodate a fastener. Screws, bolts, rivets, or similar connecting elements can be used as fasteners. Screws or bolts are preferred.
[0012] In order to flexibly adapt the head plate to different installation situations, it can be provided that the fastening section of the head plate is optionally arranged above, below or to the side of the receiving section, so that the arc-shaped elongated holes allow adjustment of the suspension stem regardless of the position of the fastening section.
[0013] For secure attachment to the supporting structure, it is preferably provided that the fastening section has at least two elongated holes or through-holes for fastening to the supporting structure.
[0014] In another embodiment, the end plate is designed as a clamping end plate, a universal clamping end plate, or a screw-on end plate. This extends its applicability to different cable tray systems.
[0015] In a further preferred embodiment, the head plate is made from a one-piece manufactured metallic flat material, in particular sheet steel, and the receiving section is formed by a forming process, preferably bending.
[0016] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the head plate features two opposing mounting sections between which the suspension rod can be positioned and fixed by fasteners. This allows for a particularly stable clamping of the suspension rod and prevents it from twisting.
[0017] In another embodiment, the head plate can be part of a suspension pole system and / or a cable tray system. This includes, in addition to the head plate, a suspension pole attached to it and a cable tray arranged on the suspension pole.
[0018] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the drawing.
[0019] Fig.Figure 1 shows a preferred embodiment of a head plate 1 according to the invention in a perspective view. The head plate 1 has a mounting section 2 for attachment to a support structure and a receiving section 3 angled thereto for receiving a suspension stem.
[0020] In the receiving section 3, a central opening 4 is provided, which serves to receive a fastening element. Below the central opening 4 is a first arcuate slot 5, followed by a second arcuate slot 6. The two arcuate slots 5 and 6 are arranged one above the other and are each designed such that, during assembly, the suspension arm can be fastened and adjusted along a circular arc.
[0021] The central opening 4, the first arcuate slot 5, and the second arcuate slot 6 are each arranged at a distance from one another such that the openings are equidistant. Furthermore, the two arcuate slots 5 and 6 preferably describe a total angle of approximately 60°. This results in a defined adjustment movement of the suspension stem, allowing for both a secure hold and flexible adjustment.
[0022] The fastening section 2 also has several elongated holes 7, which allow the head plate 1 to be fixed to a support structure with tolerance compensation. The elongated design allows for easy assembly and variable positioning of the head plate 1.
[0023] The embodiment shown is to be understood merely as a preferred example. Deviations, such as the arrangement of the fastening section 2, the central opening 4 above the arcuate slots 5, 6, or the design of the slots at different angles, radii, or lengths, are equally covered by the scope of protection of the invention.
