Description

Scope of application: The invention relates to a specialized belt for use in private households, by amateur cooks, and in the professional catering sector. The aim of the invention is to provide a readily available, stable, and ergonomic solution for drying hands during kitchen work, replacing conventional aprons or loose towels. Technical problem solution: Conventional towels hung over the shoulder or tucked into the waistband tend to slip. The present invention solves this problem with a folding principle. The towel element wraps around the top edge of the belt and hangs down on both sides. A firm seam at the top edge of the belt ensures lasting stability and optimal weight distribution on the hips. Technical design variants as shown in the illustrations: Variant A (Fig. 1 and Fig. 2): Towel segments (5) are either sewn firmly to the top edge of the belt (1) (8) or designed as interchangeable units using Velcro. Hook and loop configuration (Fig. 2): The system is designed to be flexible, allowing the hook and loop elements (3, 4) to either create a direct connection between the belt strap (1) and the towel (5) or simply to secure the towel element to itself in order to encircle the belt. This enables use even with belts that do not have their own hook and loop fasteners. Multiple hook and loop fasteners (3) on the belt also allow for individual positioning. Variant B (Fig. 3): A continuous, wide towel element covers the front of the wearer like an apron (“Reverse Apron”) and offers a maximum absorption area. Variant C (Fig. 4): The apron-like surface is divided into three or more freely movable segments (flaps) by vertical slits. This grants the wearer maximum legroom and flexibility during dynamic movements.
