Description
[0001] The invention relates to a drain pot for draining a fluid, in particular waste water.
[0002] Drain pots for draining a fluid are known from the prior art. EP 2 824 248 A1 discloses a drain pot having side walls and an outlet opening for connection to a sewer pipe. Such drain pots are also known, for example, from GB 2 402 946 A, EP 2 746 471 A1, and EP 0 436 093 A1. DE 20 2007 009 710 U1 also describes such a drain pot, wherein the drain pot can be connected to multiple drain pipes.
[0003] A drain pot with the features of the preamble of claim 1 is known, for example, from EP 1 287 213 A1. EP 1 287 213 A1 describes a drain pot with a connection area that can be connected to a connection piece and with side walls that are convexly curved.
[0004] Various types of odor traps for installation in a drain pan are also known. Due to its design, an odor trap forms a barrier fluid layer that prevents the passage of gases, for example, from the sewer system.
[0005] An odor trap is known, for example, from EP 3 117 047 B1. EP 3 117 047 B1 describes a drain fitting comprising a floor drain channel with a housing arranged at a drain opening. The housing has a housing cover and a housing pot. An odor trap is arranged in the housing. The odor trap comprises a dip tube and a cup-shaped container. The dip tube comprises a flange arranged on radially inwardly projecting webs in the housing cover.
[0006] The odor trap known from EP 3 117 047 B1 has the disadvantage that the immersion pipe is not securely fastened, as the immersion pipe with the flange merely rests loosely on the webs. It is possible for the immersion pipe to change position, for example, by slipping. This can impair the function of the odor trap or even cause it to lose its function completely. Furthermore, the odor trap must be removed from time to time for maintenance or cleaning. The disadvantage of this known odor trap is that removing the odor trap from the housing of the drain fitting is laborious, as the immersion pipe and the container can only be removed from the housing individually.
[0007] The present invention is based on the object of providing a drain pot.
[0008] According to the invention, this object is achieved by the subject matter of claim 1.
[0009] Specifically, the object is achieved according to the invention by a drain pot for draining a fluid, in particular wastewater, which has side walls, the side walls being convexly curved outwards. The drain pot has at least one connection area, in particular at least two connection areas, which can be connected to a connection piece.
[0010] To secure the drain pan to a floor material, the drain pan according to the invention has several anchor elements on an outer surface, which are designed as beads. The beads are also advantageous for stiffening and reinforcing the side walls. This is necessary because the side walls are made of a relatively thin material.
[0011] Preferably, the side walls are convexly curved or arched outward in the circumferential direction and / or along the central longitudinal axis of the drain pan. The central longitudinal axis runs orthogonally to the bottom of the drain pan. The bulge or curvature preferably extends from the opening toward the closed bottom of the drain pan. The side walls are, in particular, spherical, ball-shaped, or bulbous. In particular, the side walls are essentially circular in cross-section through the drain pan.
[0012] It is advantageous if the side walls are curved along their entire length in the circumferential direction and / or in the direction of the central longitudinal axis. Alternatively, it is conceivable for the side walls to be convexly curved outwards only partially or in sections. It is particularly advantageous if a non-curved section is provided in the area of the opening. This allows the drain pot to be butt-welded.
[0013] One advantage of the drain pan is that the convex curvature of the side walls and the resulting larger volume of the drain pan allow for good drainage values in small installations. Furthermore, it is possible to connect the drain pan to multiple connection nozzles or to freely select the side on which the connection nozzle is connected to the drain pan.
[0014] It is particularly advantageous if the connection piece is flush with the bottom of the drain pan when installed. This allows the drain pan to drain completely, preventing any fluid from remaining in the drain pan. This reduces dirt residue.
[0015] It is also particularly advantageous if the at least one connection area has a funnel-shaped contour. In other words, the connection area has a conical section. This improves the flow behavior of the fluid in this area, allowing the fluid to flow away more quickly.
[0016] Within the scope of the application, an odor trap for arrangement in a drain pot is also disclosed, comprising an upper part which has a dip tube and a lower part which has a container which is open at the top, wherein the dip tube projects into the container in the assembled state, and wherein the upper part has at least one locking element on an outer surface of the dip tube and the lower part has at least one locking receptacle on an inner surface of the container, wherein the upper part and the lower part are detachably connected to one another in a form-fitting and / or force-fitting manner by means of the locking element and the locking receptacle.
[0017] The advantage of the odor trap is that the immersion tube and the upwardly open container are releasably connected to each other by a force-locking and / or positive-locking locking element and locking receptacle. The connection is strong enough to withstand external forces, yet can still be removed manually.
[0018] Open at the top means that the opening of the container, when assembled, is positioned at the top in the direction of gravity. This means that a fluid can flow into the container in the direction of gravity.
[0019] The snap-in connection between the immersion tube and the container allows for easy assembly and reassembly of the trap. This makes installation quick and easy. Furthermore, the trap can be removed or installed as a single unit. This makes the trap easy to maintain and clean.
[0020] In a particularly preferred embodiment, the locking element has a locking geometry, in particular a cylindrical locking geometry, arranged on the outer surface of the dip tube. This locking geometry is advantageous because it enables a particularly good hold of the locking connection. The locking geometry can be adapted to the locking receptacle. Various shapes are possible as the locking geometry. Cylindrical, rectangular, or polygonal shapes are possible.
[0021] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, the locking element has a spring element, in particular a slot, which extends parallel to a longitudinal axis of the dip tube and is arranged centrally on the locking element. The spring element has the advantage that it facilitates the insertion of the locking element into the locking receptacle. The spring element, for example via the slot, enables the locking element to be compressed or pressed together, so that it can be pushed past a constriction into the locking receptacle and can then expand again once the locking element is arranged in the locking receptacle. The locking geometry then returns to its non-compressed initial state. The locking element is thus arranged in the locking receptacle in a form-fitting and / or force-fitting manner.
[0022] Furthermore, the locking receptacle particularly preferably comprises two webs, wherein the webs each have an inner contour for accommodating the locking geometry of the locking element, in particular the cylindrical locking geometry. Preferably, the locking geometry has an outer contour, wherein the inner contour of the webs corresponds at least partially to the outer contour of the locking geometry.
[0023] In the installed state, the locking geometry is arranged between the inner contours of the webs. The locking geometry is preferably cylindrical, for example, in the form of a pin. The diameter or width of the locking geometry preferably corresponds substantially to the distance between the webs in the region of the curvatures. In the locked state, the locking geometry is arranged in the inner contour. The locking geometry rests on the outer contour, at least in sections, against the inner contours of the webs. The constriction is arranged in front of the inner contour of the webs, starting from the opening of the container.
[0024] In one embodiment, the dip tube comprises two longitudinal and two transverse sides, with the dip tube merging into a funnel-shaped collar at one axial end. This is advantageous because the funnel-shaped collar improves the flow behavior of the fluid being drained. This means that larger quantities of fluid, such as wastewater, can be drained away.
[0025] Preferably, holding means, in particular handles or tabs, are arranged on two opposite sides of the collar, each extending toward the opposite side. The handles are advantageous when the odor trap needs to be removed from the drain pan for maintenance or cleaning. This allows the dip tube and the container to be removed and serviced as a unit or separately, one after the other.
[0026] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, the upper part has at least one support element, in particular a rib or a wing, wherein the support element, in the assembled state, forms a circumferential gap between an upper edge of the container and an underside of the collar of the dip tube, wherein the height of the gap is between 2 mm and 35 mm, in particular between 5 mm and 30 mm, in particular between 10 mm and 25 mm, in particular between 15 mm and 20 mm. The gap allows the fluid to flow into the drain pot. Depending on the size and volume flow of the fluid, it is advantageous to vary the width of the gap. The height of the gap is preferably 8 mm.
[0027] It is advantageous if the fluid-conducting sections of the container and the dip tube are rounded. This improves the fluid-conducting properties of the trap. Furthermore, this design keeps the trap largely free of dirt. Since there are no surfaces on which residual fluid can remain, the dirt is continuously removed or flushed away with the drained fluid.
[0028] Within the scope of the application, a drainage system comprising a previously described odor trap and a previously described drain pot is disclosed, wherein the drain pot is connected, in particular welded, to a drainage channel and the odor trap is arranged in the drain pot.
[0029] The drainage channel and the drainage pot are preferably made of metal, especially stainless steel. The upper and lower parts are preferably each formed as a single piece or monolithically from a plastic, for example, by injection molding. This allows for reduced production costs.
[0030] In a preferred embodiment, the drainage channel has a face plate, wherein the face plate has at least one elongated hole and / or at least one bore. The at least one elongated hole allows the installation height of the drainage system to be determined in the soil material and the drainage system to be anchored. The bore is advantageous for grounding the drainage system.
[0031] The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0033] The Figures 1 to 6 refer to an odor trap.
[0034] In the Figures 1, 2 and 3An upper part 11 of the odor trap is shown. The upper part 11 comprises a dip tube 12. The dip tube 12 has two straight longitudinal sides and two circular transverse sides. At one axial end, the dip tube 12 has a funnel-shaped transition to a collar 23.
[0035] The funnel-shaped transition is advantageous for the drainage properties, as the fluid to be drained away can be quickly removed. The collar 23, particularly the outer edge of the collar 23, includes a sealing lip that seals the odor trap from the outside when installed, for example, against a drainage body.
[0036] A locking element 15 is arranged on each outer surface A' of the transverse sides. The locking element 15 comprises a locking geometry 17, a reinforcement structure 40, a guide element 41, and a spring element 18. The locking elements 15 are each arranged centrally on the transverse sides. The locking elements 15 are preferably formed integrally or monolithically with the dip tube 12.
[0037] The reinforcement structure 40 is plate-shaped. Other shapes for the reinforcement structure 40, such as struts or ribs, are possible. The reinforcement structure 40 is arranged between the collar 23 and the locking geometry 17. The reinforcement structure 40 is connected to the outer surface A' and the locking geometry 17. More precisely, the reinforcement structure 40 is spanned between the collar 23 and the locking geometry 17. The reinforcement structure 40 has a slope that rises toward the locking geometry 17.
[0038] The reinforcement structure 40 absorbs forces applied to the locking element 15 during assembly or in the installed state. In particular, the locking geometry 17 is relieved by the reinforcement structure 40, reducing the risk of the locking geometry 17 breaking.
[0039] The locking geometry 17 comprises a cylindrical shape. Alternatively, other shapes, such as polygonal shapes, are possible. The cylindrical locking geometry 17 extends perpendicularly from the outer surface A'. The locking geometry 17 does not extend further than the collar 23. More precisely, the locking geometry 17 does not protrude beyond the collar 23.
[0040] A guide element 41 is arranged on the side of the locking geometry 17 facing away from the collar 23. The guide element 41 is an extension that extends in the direction of the central longitudinal axis of the dip tube 12 and away from the collar 23. The width of the guide element 41 is smaller than the width of the locking geometry 17. The width here refers to the extension of the guide element 41 in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal sides.
[0041] Due to the guide element 41, in particular due to the smaller width of the guide element 41, the arrangement of the locking element 15 in a corresponding locking receptacle (cf. Fig. 4 ) simplified.
[0042] The spring element 18 of the locking element 15 comprises a slot 19 or a gap. In other words, the spring element 18 is formed by the slot 19. The slot 19 extends substantially along the entire locking element 15. More precisely, the slot 19 extends through the reinforcement structure 40, through the locking geometry 17, and through the guide element 41. The depth of the slot 19 increases linearly toward the reinforcement structure 40. More precisely, the slot 19 begins in the reinforcement structure 40 and deepens toward the guide element 41.
[0043] The slot 19 makes it possible for the locking element 15 to be compressed. This allows the locking element 15 to be compressed, for example, far enough that the locking geometry 17 can be guided past a constriction or a projection. The locking element 15 can then at least partially return to its original shape. As a result, the locking geometry 17 is arranged behind the projection in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner. The slot 19 has a smaller depth in the area of the reinforcement structure 40 so as not to impair the reinforcing function of the reinforcement structure 40. The slot 19 is more pronounced in the area of the locking geometry 17 and the guide element 41, since these areas require a certain degree of elasticity in order to be compressed during assembly.
[0044] Support elements 25 are arranged centrally on the outer surface A' of the longitudinal sides of the immersion tube 12. The support elements 25 are designed as wings. Alternatively, other shapes, such as ribs or webs, can be realized. The support elements 25 are connected to the underside of the collar 23 and the outer surface A' of the immersion tube 12. The support elements 25 each have a recess on an edge facing away from the collar 23. The function of the support elements 25 is explained below with regard to the Fig. 6 discussed in more detail.
[0045] The fluid-conducting areas of the upper part 11 are rounded. This ensures that no residual fluid can remain on any surface and thus accumulate dirt. The fluid is always drained away essentially completely.
[0046] The upper part 11 has two retaining means 24. The retaining means 24 are each arranged opposite one another on an inner surface of the transverse sides in the funnel-shaped region. The retaining means 24 have rounded surfaces and each extend toward the opposite retaining means 24 and are inclined upwards away from the dip tube 12.
[0047] The rounded surfaces and the inclination of the retaining means 24 are advantageous for the drainage of the fluid and prevent residual fluid from remaining on the surfaces. Furthermore, the retaining means 24 allow the odor trap to be easily removed for maintenance.
[0048] The Figures 4 and 5show a lower part 13 of the odor trap. The lower part 13 comprises a container 14 that is open at the top. "Open at the top" means that the container 14 is open at the top when installed. The container 14 is elongated in cross-section with longitudinal and transverse sides, with the longitudinal sides of the container 14 being straight and the transverse sides being circular in shape. The upper edge 26 of the container 14 has rounded portions.
[0049] The rounded upper edge 26 forms a circumferential overflow edge. This circumferential overflow edge is advantageous because it prevents or reduces turbulence in the fluid being drained. The rounded edges prevent residues of the fluid being drained from sticking.
[0050] The container 14 has an inner surface 1'. A locking receptacle is arranged on the inner surface 1' of each of the transverse sides. The locking receptacle comprises two webs 20, which are arranged symmetrically to a plane of symmetry parallel to the longitudinal sides. The webs 20 extend from the upper edge 26 toward the bottom of the container 14. The axial ends of the webs 20 in the region of the upper edge 26 are spaced apart by a greater distance than the opposite axial ends of the webs 20.
[0051] The larger distance between the webs 20 in the area of the upper edge 26 allows the locking element 15 to be inserted into the locking receptacle. The smaller distance between the opposite axial ends of the webs 20 prevents the upper part 11 from being pushed too far into the lower part 13.
[0052] An inner contour 21 is formed between the axial ends of the webs 20. The inner contour 21 corresponds, at least in sections, to an outer contour 22 of the locking geometry 17 of the locking element 15. Here, the webs 20 are each curved away from one another, so that a substantially circular inner contour 21 is formed. The circular inner contour 21 corresponds to the cylindrical shape of the locking geometry 17 or to the locking geometry 17 with a circular cross-section. Starting from the upper edge 26, a constriction is arranged in front of the respective curvature or in front of the inner contour 21. The distance between the webs 20 from one another in the region of the constriction is smaller than the width of the locking geometry 17.
[0053] During assembly, the locking element 15 is compressed. The narrowing of the webs 20 is advantageous because it allows the locking geometry 17 to be releasably arranged in the locking receptacle with a positive and / or non-positive fit.
[0054] A first elevation 42 is located centrally at the bottom of the container. The first elevation 42 serves to center the odor trap in a designated component during assembly.
[0055] Fig. 6 shows the odor trap in its assembled state. The upper part 11 is inserted into the lower part 13 until the support elements 25 rest with the recesses on the upper edge 26 and the locking elements 15 are arranged in the locking recess.
[0056] The height of the container 14 corresponds to the height of the barrier fluid column. The barrier fluid column penetrates both the dip tube 12 and the container 14. The barrier fluid is the fluid that remains in the container 14 and the dip tube 12 and prevents gases from the sewer system from escaping through the drain.
[0057] The support elements 25 form a circumferential gap between the underside of the collar 23 and the upper edge 26 of the container 14. The gap has a height of 8 mm. Depending on requirements, the gap can be dimensioned differently.
[0058] The locking element 15 is arranged in the locking receptacle as described above. More precisely, the locking geometry 17 is arranged in the area between the webs 20, whose inner contour essentially and / or at least partially corresponds to the outer contour of the locking geometry 17. The narrowing prevents the locking element 17 from being removed from the locking receptacle without the application of external force, thus preventing the upper part 11 from being displaced.
[0059] The Figures 7, 8 and 9show a drain pot 30 in which the previously described odor trap can be arranged. The drain pot is open at the top. The side walls 31 of the drain pot 30 are convexly curved outwards along the circumference. Fig. 9 It can be seen that the side walls 31 are circular in cross-section. Alternatively, spherical or ball-shaped side walls 31 are possible.
[0060] The convex curvature increases the volume of the drain pot 30. The curvature also improves the flow behavior of the fluid being drained. This prevents backflow or overflow of the drain pot 30.
[0061] In the area of the opening, the drain pot 30 has a non-curved section along the perimeter. This section allows the drain pot to be butt-welded.
[0062] Anchor elements 35 are arranged on the outside. The anchor elements 35 extend between the opening of the drain pot 30 and its base. The anchor elements 35 are designed as beads.
[0063] The drain pot 30 has two connection areas 32. A connection nozzle 33 is arranged at one connection area 32. The connection areas 32 have rounded surfaces. In other words, the connection areas have funnel-shaped or conical areas. It is conceivable for the drain pot 30 to have up to four connection areas 32 or connection nozzles 33.
[0064] The funnel-shaped or conical connection areas 32 are advantageous for the flow behavior of the fluid to be discharged. The funnel-shaped connection areas 32 create less turbulence and allow the fluid to be discharged more quickly through the connection piece 33.
[0065] A second elevation 43 is located on the bottom of the drain pan 30. The second elevation 43 corresponds to the first elevation 42 of the odor trap. During installation, the odor trap is positioned with the first elevation 42 on the second elevation 43. This centering the odor trap in the drain pan 30.
[0066] Fig. 10 shows an embodiment of a drain pot 30 with lower side walls 31. The drain pot 30 essentially corresponds to the embodiment described above, except for the lower side walls 31. The convex curvature is particularly advantageous in the embodiment with lower side walls 31, since good drainage is even more important due to the smaller volume.
[0067] The Figures 11a and 11b show a drainage channel 36, to which the Figures 7, 8 and 9 The drain pot 30 shown is arranged. The drain pot 30 is welded to the drainage channel 36.
[0068] End plates 37 are arranged at the axial ends of the drainage channel 36. The end plates 37 are arranged on the side of the drainage channel 36 on which the drain pot 30 is located. The end plate 37 has an elongated hole 38. The elongated hole 38 extends centrally on the end plate 37 and perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the drainage channel 36.
[0069] The elongated hole 38 allows the end plate 37 to grip the floor material, such as screed. Furthermore, the elongated hole 38 allows for continuous height adjustment of the drainage channel 36. This allows the drainage channel 36 to be adapted to the floor level. Alternatively, the end plate 37 can be bent to improve its anchoring properties.
[0070] The Figures 12a and 12b essentially correspond to the Figures 11a and 11bIn contrast to the embodiment described above, the end plate 37 has two elongated holes 38 and one bore 39. The elongated holes 38 are arranged parallel to each other. The bore 39 is located below the elongated holes on the central longitudinal axis of the end plate 37.
[0071] The hole 39 is advantageous because it allows for electrical earthing to be easily achieved.
[0072] The Figures 13a and 13b correspond to the Figures 12a and 12b . and show the example from the Figures 12a and 12b with the drain pot 30 according to the Figure 10 . List of reference symbols
