Description

[0001] The invention relates to the installation of a window assembly and a window assembly consisting of at least a window frame profile, a window sash profile with glazing and an externally and laterally circumferential shaped body, in particular buildings.

[0002] The most common installation methods for windows with window frame profiles include the inside stop, in which the window frame profile is at least partially covered on the outside, and the butt stop of the window frame profile against the reveal. For larger windows, the window frame profile is additionally fixed in the area of the parapet and lintel.

[0003] To seal the joint between the window frame profile and the building structure, plaster sealing strips and joint sealing tapes are used, in some cases also acrylic or silicone.

[0004] This involves a permanent airtight internal seal to separate the room air from the outside air and a permanent driving rain seal on the outside.

[0005] The individual jobs are carried out by different trades and involve multiple removals of the window profiles, including the glazing and thus the protective film. Furthermore, the work is not carried out dust-free, resulting in seals that do not adhere properly, a significant amount of cleaning is required during and after construction, and damage to the profiles due to the cover film becoming detached is inevitable.

[0006] CN 107 165 538 B provides a window-to-wall cross-connection add-on system that enhances the thermoacoustic performance of exterior windows. It solves the problems of air, water, and sound leakage, as well as cold bridges caused by the reduction in the sealing effect of the cross-connection between an exterior window and a wall body. The window-to-wall cross-connection system includes an outer shell, a steel plate, and a first damping rib. The outer shell, the steel plate, and the first damping rib are arranged sequentially at the window-to-wall cross-connection position from the outside to the inside.

[0007] FR 2 838 154 A1 describes a cover strip for the joint between a fixed door / window frame and a wall. It is designed to fit directly or via a spacer onto the head of a fixing screw. A joint cover strip consists of a profile that covers the gap between a wall and a fixed frame and fits onto the head of a screw in the fixed frame, either directly or via a spacer that compensates for the gap between the frame and the outer surface of the wall. The cover strip has two fixing channels and, when a spacer is used, is connected to the screw by a clip.

[0008] NL 7 513 201 A describes a profile made of aluminum or another lightweight material with a hollow, closed base section with projections, flanges, etc. for attaching seals and connectors. On the outer edge of one or both of its opposite end faces, the profile has a forward-opening groove located between the end face and the outer side. Means for attaching strips, supports, etc. are provided near the groove mouth. The groove can be formed by the wall of a rectangular base profile and a T-profile flange attached to it. The means for attaching the strips, etc. can consist of thin ribs extending from the groove walls.

[0009] The method according to FR 2 955 884 A1 involves placing fastening units on legs of fasteners, e.g., screws. An outer surface of a door frame is extended beyond the fasteners on walls of a crossing opening. Covers of a cross member, a support, and posts are attached to the walls of the opening that crosses between the outer surface of the door frame and a side of the wall on one side of an exterior room. A sheet of the covers is provided on a surface in which an liner is attached. The liner is placed against a wall of the crossing opening and bonded between the wall and the sheet.

[0010] The object of the invention is to industrially prefabricate windows with window sash frames and window frame profiles, including railings and roller shutters or roller shutter rails and seals, if applicable - hereinafter referred to as window assemblies - to deliver these window assemblies in protective cover film and to install them taking into account the above-mentioned mode of action of the seals.

[0011] This problem is solved by the features of claim 1. A method for installing the window assembly is described in claim 10.

[0012] In the case of a window assembly consisting of at least one window frame profile and at least one window sash profile with glazing, wherein the window frame profile, when installed, has a butt stop on the reveal, parapet and lintel with a joint and the joint between the window frame profile and the building structure is sealed, wherein the window frame profile has a shaped body running all the way around the outside and to the sides and is connected to this, wherein the shaped body, when the window assembly is in use, covers the joint as well as parts of the building and parts of the window assembly from outside the building structure, the shaped body has a connection to the window frame profile and can be connected at least to the reveal, it is proposed that in order to fix the window frame profile to the building in the area of the parapet, a T-part is connected to the shaped body, which has two connection holes, one for the window frame profile and one for the reveal.

[0013] The surrounding shaped body is preferably a hollow profile with a flat surface facing the structure and a rectangular, square, semicircular, or prismatic cross-section. This allows for different architectural requirements to be met while maintaining the function of the surrounding shaped body, namely to act as a stop and seal. To prevent corrosion caused by condensation in the hollow profile, the hollow profile can be foam-filled.

[0014] In an advantageous embodiment, at least one sealing tape, preferably a compression tape, is arranged circumferentially between the shaped body and the structure for sealing and structural leveling.

[0015] To meet different window requirements, such as the arrangement of roller shutter rails, the connection between the window frame profile and the molded body is designed to be length-adjustable. This length adjustment allows the distance between the window frame profile and the molded body to be adjusted for additional components of the window assembly arranged in between, such as roller shutter rails.

[0016] The T-part used to connect the shaped body, the window frame profile and at least the reveal, which has two connecting holes - one for the window frame profile and one for at least the reveal - is pushed with the head web of the T-part through a slot into the hollow profile and engages behind the hollow profile by turning.

[0017] For transport purposes, a further design of the T-piece provides for the web with the connecting holes to have a hinged joint. This allows it to be bent during transport and does not protrude beyond the window frame or window profile. It also does not interfere with the packaging of the window assembly with the cover film.

[0018] The method for installing the aforementioned window assembly is defined in claim 10 and provides that the window assembly is industrially prefabricated and provided with a cover film, is transported to the construction site and is pushed from the outside of the building into the intended window opening while maintaining a joint between at least the reveal and the window frame profile, until the surrounding shaped body rests against the building, and a hole is drilled in at least the reveal, via which the connection to the shaped body is fixed at least to the reveal.

[0019] After the window assembly has been fixed, the joint between the building and the window frame profile is filled with foam and sealed with Illbruck tape or equivalent against the interior plaster that is then applied to the reveal.

[0020] After the plastering work is completed, the protective cover film is removed starting with an APU strip.

[0021] The invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a horizontal section through the installed window assembly, Fig. 2 a section of the installed window assembly in a vertical section with roller shutters, Fig. 3 the arrangement of a window sill and Fig. 4 a T-part as an anchor for fixing the window frame profile.

[0022] Fig. 1 shows a horizontal section through the window assembly installed in building 1, here comprising a window frame profile 2, a window sash profile 3 with glazing 4, roller shutter rails 9 and a shaped body 5 with sealing tape 8, a T-part 10 which is connected to the shaped body 5 and has two connecting holes 13, 14, wherein a bolt connection to the window frame profile 2 exists via the connecting hole 13 and the connecting hole 14 serves to create a bolt connection to the reveal of building 1 as well as a railing 21.

[0023] The shaped body 5 runs outside and laterally around the window frame profile 2 and is connected to the window frame profile 2 via the T-part, including the roller shutter rails 9. When the window assembly is installed, the shaped body 5 covers the joint 7 between the window frame profile 2 and the building 1, as well as parts of the building 1 and parts of the window assembly, from outside the building 1. The shaped body not only covers the joint 7, but also simultaneously represents a window frame on the outside.

[0024] Preferably, the shaped body 5 is a foamed hollow profile which has a flat surface directed towards the structure 1 and otherwise has a rectangular or square - as shown - or semicircular or prismatic cross-section.

[0025] The T-part 10 can have a hinge joint 15 so that it does not protrude from the window frame or window sash profile 2, 3 during transport.

[0026] The window assembly is industrially prefabricated and transported to the construction site, covered with a covering film. Here, the window assembly is inserted into the window opening of building 1 until the preformed part 5 with the seal 8 rests against the building 1. By drilling a hole with a dowel in the reveal, the unfolded T-part 10 can be connected to the reveal via the connecting hole 14. Such connections can be arranged in multiple locations depending on the window height. After filling the joint 7 with PU foam 17, the sealing strips 18 are applied inside, and the interior and exterior plaster 20 is applied as shown.

[0027] Until this point, the window assembly is enclosed in the cover film applied during production. After the plastering work is completed, the cover film can be removed, starting with an APU strip 19, without any risk of contamination or damage to the window.

[0028] The Fig. 2 and 3 show only other sections of the window assembly in building 1, whereby the previously described basic structure and the fixing of the shaped body also apply here.

[0029] In Fig. 3 a fixing of the window frame profile 2 to the structure 1 in the area of the parapet is shown, which only includes a web which has the two connecting holes 13, 14.

[0030] Fig. 4 shows a fastening anchor in the form of a T-part 10 connected to the hollow body for establishing the connections within the window assembly and with the reveal in two views: above with a view of the reveal and below rotated by 90°.

[0031] The T-part 10 is provided with two connection holes 13, 14, one for the window frame profile 2 and one for the reveal. In a preferred embodiment, the head web 11 of the T-part 10 can be inserted through a slot into the hollow profile of the molded part 5 and, after a rotation, preferably by 90°, engages behind the hollow profile from the inside.

[0032] At the same time, the connecting holes 13, 14, which are located in the other web 12, are brought into a connectable position with the window frame profile 2 and later at least with the reveal.

[0033] Furthermore, it is indicated that the web 12 with the connecting holes 13, 14 can have a hinged joint 15 to shorten its length during transport. This prevents it from protruding during transport.

[0034] Furthermore, a length adjuster 16 is arranged in the web 12. This allows the connection between the window frame profile 2 and the shaped body 5 to be adjusted in length depending on the thickness of the parts arranged between them, such as the Fig. 1 roller shutter rails shown 9.

[0035] The proposed window assembly and its installation allow for a clean and effective window installation in which the various trades are used one after the other. List of reference symbols
