Description
[0001] The invention relates to a connecting device for detachably connecting two assemblies according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] Such a connecting device comprises a first connecting part having an engagement opening and a first magnetic element, and a second connecting part having an engagement portion and a second magnetic element. The first connecting part and the second connecting part can be connected to one another by the engagement portion of the second connecting part being engageable with the engagement opening of the first connecting part in an engagement direction, wherein the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element interact in a magnetically attractive manner when connecting the first connecting part and the second connecting part.
[0003] Such a connecting device can be used, for example, as a fastener for a piece of clothing. For closing, the connecting parts are placed against one another so that the engagement portion of the first connecting part engages with the engagement opening of the second connecting part in the engagement direction. The attachment of the connecting parts to one another is magnetically assisted by the magnetic elements arranged on the connecting parts.
[0004] Such connecting devices generally require ease of handling, especially when opening the connecting device. It may be desirable to provide an emergency opening mechanism in the event of excessive stress, thus avoiding the danger of improper use, for example, in the case of clothing.
[0005] EP 1 264 553 A1, which discloses the preamble of claim 1, discloses a fastening device comprising a magnet and a magnet housing, wherein the device has a magnetic coupling surface formed on the housing, and the magnetic coupling surface is adapted to magnetically engage another magnetic coupling surface of another fastening device. The magnetic coupling surface is provided with a guide device to substantially restrict the relative movement of the magnetic coupling surfaces when the surfaces are in physical contact.
[0006] US 3,266,112 discloses a closure comprising a first and a second element made of a material capable of maintaining magnetic polarization, the first of these elements having a surface with a groove extending therein and the second of these elements being provided with a ledge extending outwardly from one surface and adapted to mate with the groove and to be removably received therein.
[0007] The object of the present invention is to provide a connecting device that provides an emergency opening function.
[0008] The problem is solved by a connecting device having the features of claim 1.
[0009] Accordingly, the engagement opening and / or the engagement portion have a shape tapering in the engagement direction in a cross-sectional plane spanned by the engagement direction and a transverse direction extending transversely to the engagement direction.
[0010] The first connecting part has a first contact surface that at least partially delimits the engagement opening, and the second connecting part has a second contact surface that at least partially delimits the engagement section. The first contact surface and the second contact surface face each other in a connected position in which the engagement section of the second connecting part engages with the engagement opening of the first connecting part. The tapered shape of the engagement opening and / or the engagement section can be achieved by at least one of the contact surfaces being curved or extending obliquely to the engagement direction.
[0011] By designing the engagement opening and / or the engagement section with a tapered shape in the engagement direction, it is possible to open the connecting device when a load is applied transversely to the engagement direction. Thus, when a load is applied transversely to the engagement direction that exceeds a release force defined by the dimensions of the magnetic elements and the design of the engagement opening and the engagement section, the engagement section can contact a contact surface formed on the engagement opening, thus causing the connecting parts to separate from one another in a direction opposite to the engagement direction, thereby redirecting the force. In particular, contact surfaces on the engagement portion and the engagement opening can run into one another under a transverse load in such a way that the connecting parts are separated from one another opposite to the engagement direction, thereby weakening the magnetic force between the connecting parts and thus disengaging the connecting parts from one another.
[0012] At least one of the contact surfaces can be positioned obliquely to the engagement direction and, for example, extend in a straight line in the cross-sectional plane spanned by the engagement direction and the transverse direction. Alternatively, the respective contact surface can also be curved in the cross-sectional plane, so that the engagement opening and / or the engagement section have, for example, a spherical shape.
[0013] In one embodiment, the first contact surface and the second contact surface are each curved or extend at an oblique angle to the engagement direction.
[0014] However, it is also conceivable for the first contact surface and the second contact surface to have different shapes. For example, in one embodiment, only one of the contact surfaces is curved or extends obliquely to the engagement direction, while the other contact surface extends along the engagement direction.
[0015] The first contact surface extends circumferentially around the engagement opening of the first connecting part. The first contact surface thus forms a circumferential surface that surrounds the engagement opening in the engagement direction. In addition, the second contact surface extends circumferentially around the engagement section of the second connecting part, so that the second contact surface forms a lateral surface that surrounds the engagement section in the engagement direction. This makes it possible to enable emergency opening by the contact surfaces running into one another in different loading directions transverse to the engagement direction, for example, in any direction in a plane extending transverse to the engagement direction.
[0016] The first contact surface of the engagement opening and the second contact surface of the engagement portion may have an identical (but complementary) shape in that the first contact surface and the second contact surface are curved in the same way or extend at the same oblique angle to the engagement direction.
[0017] Under transverse load, the contact surfaces can collide with each other, so that when a defined release force is exceeded, the connecting parts are separated from each other in the opposite direction to the engagement direction.
[0018] In one embodiment, at least one structural element with at least one surface section deviating from a curved or oblique extension direction of the contact surface is arranged on at least one of the contact surfaces. For example, structures in the manner of knobs, teeth, waves, steps or the like can be arranged on one or both contact surfaces, wherein the respective contact surface can, for example, be completely corrugated or stepped, or such structural elements can be arranged only on a partial section of the contact surface. By providing structural elements on one or both contact surfaces, friction between the contact surfaces can be adjusted under transverse loading, so that the release force that must be exceeded by the transverse load to release the connecting parts from one another can be defined.
[0019] Additionally or alternatively, the friction between the contact surfaces can be adjusted by the material and its surface quality (texture), for example roughening.
[0020] For example, the first contact surface and / or the second contact surface can have at least one step and thus be fully or partially stepped. Each step can be formed, for example—in the cross-sectional plane spanned by the engagement direction and the transverse direction—by an end face extending along or obliquely to the engagement direction and a platform surface extending transversely or obliquely to the engagement direction. With a stepped design of the respective contact surface, a platform surface adjoins each end face, and the platform surface is in turn adjoined by an end face.
[0021] A transition between a front surface and a platform surface can be rounded.
[0022] It is also conceivable to align the end faces of the contact surfaces in a stepped design in such a way that an undercut is created, so that in the event of a transverse load the contact surfaces lie against each other via undercuts.
[0023] In one embodiment, the engagement opening is defined by a base. The first magnetic element of the first connecting part can be arranged in the region of the base, for example, by accommodating the first magnetic element centrally relative to the engagement opening on a housing part forming the base. The first contact surface of the first connecting part can extend substantially above the base, viewed counter to the engagement direction, so that the first magnetic element is flush with the base or embedded in the base, and the contact surface protrudes from the base counter to the engagement direction.
[0024] In one embodiment, a raised portion is arranged within the engagement opening of the first connecting part, facing opposite to the engagement direction, which, when the engagement portion is engaged with the engagement opening, engages in a receiving opening on the engagement portion of the second connecting part. The raised portion can, for example, protrude from the bottom of the engagement opening opposite to the engagement direction and, when the connecting parts are connected to one another, engages in an associated receiving opening on the engagement portion of the second connecting part. Such a raised portion can further influence the release force, which must be exceeded by a transverse load for the purpose of emergency opening, by increasing the transverse hold of the connecting parts in the connected position.
[0025] On the raised portion and the receiving opening, contact surfaces can be formed which run into one another under transverse loading, so that the connecting parts can be automatically released from one another when a transverse load exceeds the release force, in order to thus provide an emergency opening function.
[0026] In one embodiment, the engagement opening and / or the engagement section are round or polygonal in cross-section transverse to the engagement direction. For example, the engagement opening and the engagement section can have a circular shape and thus be rotationally symmetrical about the engagement direction. Alternatively, the engagement opening and the engagement section can each be triangular, square, pentagonal, or hexagonal, for example, wherein the engagement opening and the engagement section preferably have a regular shape with (in the case of a polygonal design) uniform edges in cross-section transverse to the engagement direction.
[0027] The first connecting part has a further engagement portion and / or the second connecting part has a further engagement opening.
[0028] The first connecting part and the second connecting part can thus be connected to further connecting parts in a stacked manner by connecting a further connecting part to the first connecting part by engaging the further engagement portion of the first connecting part in an engagement opening of the further connecting part or by connecting a further connecting part to the second connecting part by engaging the further engagement opening of the second connecting part.
[0029] Preferably, the first connecting part and the second connecting part are designed as identical parts, at least in the region of the engagement portion and the engagement opening, so that each connecting part can be connected to the other connecting part in any desired manner by arranging one connecting part below or above the other connecting part.
[0030] In one embodiment, the first connecting part has two first housing parts that accommodate the first magnetic element between them. The housing parts can, for example, be locked together to form the first connecting part, wherein a receiving opening for receiving the first magnetic element is formed between the housing parts, thus fixing the first magnetic element to the housing parts in the assembled position. An associated first assembly, for example, a textile material, can be accommodated between the housing parts, so that the first connecting part can be connected to the assembly via the housing parts.
[0031] Additionally or alternatively, the second connecting part can have two second housing parts that accommodate the second magnetic element between them. The second housing parts can be locked together and together form a receiving opening for the second magnetic element. An associated second assembly, for example, a textile material, can be accommodated between the second housing parts, so that the first connecting part can be connected to the assembly via the housing parts.
[0032] The housing parts can be connected to each other in such a way that they each seal the associated magnetic element between them. For example, locking sections can be used to create a connection that encloses the magnetic element in a moisture-tight manner, thus protecting it from dirt and moisture.
[0033] Alternatively, it is also conceivable to form the first connecting part and / or the second connecting part in one piece, wherein an additional fastening element for fastening the connecting part to a respectively assigned assembly can be arranged in the region of an edge section of the first connecting part or the second connecting part.
[0034] In one embodiment, the first connecting part has a first edge portion extending around the engagement opening for connection to a first assembly. Additionally or alternatively, the second connecting part can have a second edge portion extending around the engagement portion for connection to a second assembly. Via such edge portions, the respective connecting part can be attached to the associated assembly, for example, mechanically or chemically, for example by sewing, gluing, welding, or riveting.
[0035] If the respective connecting part is composed of two housing parts, both housing parts can each have an edge section, whereby the associated assembly can be accommodated between the edge sections and can be connected to the connecting part via both edge sections, for example by gluing or riveting.
[0036] In one embodiment, the first connecting part has a first connection section for connection to a first assembly, while the second connecting part has a second connection section for connection to a second assembly. The first connection section and the second connection section can extend along a common plane extending transversely to the engagement direction. This can cause a loading force to act in the common plane between the connecting parts when the assemblies are loaded transversely to the engagement direction relative to one another, so that when a transverse load is applied, a defined force is introduced and a defined release occurs as the engagement section and the engagement opening come into contact with one another.
[0037] The first magnetic element and the second magnetic element can each be formed, for example, by a permanent magnet or by an arrangement of several permanent magnets. When the connecting parts are placed against each other, the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element face each other with one or more opposite poles, so that a magnetic attraction exists between the magnetic elements and thus the attachment of the connecting parts to each other is magnetically supported.
[0038] However, it is also conceivable that one of the magnetic elements on one of the connecting parts is made as a permanent magnet or by an arrangement of permanent magnets and the magnetic element on the other of the connecting parts is made as a magnetic armature, for example made of a ferromagnetic material, which interacts in a magnetically attractive manner with the permanent magnet or the arrangement of permanent magnets.
[0039] In one embodiment, the magnetic elements hold the connecting parts together in the connected position. The connecting parts are held together, for example, exclusively by the magnetic elements, without any additional mechanical locking between the connecting parts.
[0040] A connecting device of the type described can be used in a variety of ways. In particular, a connecting device can be used for all objects where emergency release is desired in the event of a transverse load transverse to the engagement direction.
[0041] A connecting device can be used, for example, in garments, particularly for children or elderly or disabled people. For example, a connecting device of the type described can be used in reversible clothing, such as reversible jackets that can be turned inside out.
[0042] A connecting device of the type described can generally be used in cord, textile or tape applications with a strangulation hazard and a consequent need for emergency opening, such as whistles, bibs, fastening and restraint harnesses, collars, fastening systems, helmets, hats and hoods on garments, fastening systems for wall panels, organization systems, workwear and retention systems, accessory and accessory fastening, scarves and shawls, cable and tape organization, sleeping bags, shoes, bags and backpacks or the like.
[0043] Several connecting devices can be used in combination to enable clothing, such as jackets, to be closed along a closing line.

[0045] Fig. 1A bis 1D show a first embodiment of a connecting device 1, which has a first connecting part 2 and a second connecting part 3. The connecting parts 2, 3, which in Fig. 1A bis 1D are shown in a connected position, can be attached to one another along an engagement direction E and released from one another again in a release direction L opposite to the engagement direction E.
[0046] Each connecting part 2, 3 has a housing part 20, 30 forming an edge portion 200, 300, via which the respective connecting part 2, 3 can be connected to an associated assembly, for example, a piece of clothing. In the illustrated embodiment, the connecting parts 2, 3 are rotationally symmetrical and manufactured as identical parts, so that the connecting parts 2, 3 can be attached to one another in any desired order. In particular, the connecting part 3 can also be arranged below the connecting part 2 in the engagement direction E.
[0047] In the illustrated embodiment, each connecting part 2, 3 has an engagement portion 22, 32 which protrudes in a pin-like manner from the edge portion 200, 300 in the direction of engagement direction E. An engagement opening 23, 33 is formed in the interior of each engagement portion 22, 32.
[0048] Both the engagement section 22, 32 and the engagement opening 23, 33 taper in the engagement direction E, viewed in the Fig. 1C shown, spanned by the direction of engagement E and a transverse direction Q (corresponding to a radial direction).
[0049] To connect the connecting parts 2, 3 to each other, for example, the connecting part 3 with the engagement section 32 can be inserted into the engagement opening 23 of the connecting part 2, as shown in Fig. 1A in conjunction with Fig. 1C und 1D In the connected position, the engagement portion 32 of the connecting part 3 engages in the engagement opening 23 of the connecting part 2, as can be seen, for example, from Fig. 1C is evident.
[0050] Each connecting part 2, 3 has a magnetic element 24, 34 arranged in the region of the base 231, 331 of the engagement opening 23, 33 of the respective associated connecting part 2, 3. The magnetic elements 24, 34 interact in a magnetically attractive manner when the connecting parts 2, 3 are placed in the engagement direction E, so that the placement of the connecting sides 2, 3 against each other is magnetically assisted and preferably occurs automatically when the connecting parts 2, 3 are brought closer together.
[0051] In the connected position, the connecting parts 2, 3 are held together magnetically by the magnetic elements 24, 34. There is no additional locking mechanism.
[0052] The magnetic elements 24, 34 can each be formed by a permanent magnet or by an arrangement of permanent magnets. Alternatively, one of the magnetic elements 24, 34 can be formed by a permanent magnet or an arrangement of permanent magnets, while the other of the magnetic elements 34, 24 is formed by a magnetic armature, i.e., a passive element that, however, interacts magnetically with the permanent magnet or the arrangement of permanent magnets.
[0053] Because the engagement sections 22, 32 and the engagement openings 23, 33 of the connecting parts 2, 3 taper in the engagement direction E, an emergency opening of the connecting device 1 created by the connecting parts 2, 3 is possible. Thus, the engagement sections 22, 32 each form a contact surface 220, 320, which is shaped by a conical outer surface of the respective engagement section 22, 32. Complementary to the engagement sections 22, 32, the engagement openings 23, 33 are each delimited by a conical contact surface 230, 330. The contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 each extend circumferentially around the engagement direction E and are rotationally symmetrical to the engagement direction E.
[0054] If the connecting part 3 engages, as in Fig. 1C shown, with the engagement section 32 into the engagement opening 23 of the connecting part 2, the conical contact surface 320 of the engagement section 32 rests against the complementary, conical contact surface 230 of the engagement opening 23 of the connecting part 2. If a load occurs along a radial transverse direction Q between the connecting parts 2, 3, the conical shape of the contact surfaces 230, 320 causes the contact surfaces 230, 320 to run onto one another along the transverse direction Q and thus convert a transverse force into a force in a release direction L opposite to the engagement direction E, so that if the transverse load exceeds a release force predetermined by the dimensioning of the magnetic elements 24, 34 and also by the geometric and frictional properties of the connecting parts 2, 3, the connecting sides 2, 3 are automatically released from one another in the sense of an emergency opening.
[0055] Because the connecting parts 2, 3 are designed as identical parts, they can be attached to one another in any order. Thus, the connecting part 2 with the engagement section 22 can also be inserted into the engagement opening 33 of the connecting part 3.
[0056] Due to the conical shape of the engagement sections 22, 32 and the engagement openings 23, 33, a transverse load in any radial direction to the engagement direction E leads to an emergency opening if the specified release force is exceeded.
[0057] In the Fig. 1A bis 1D In the embodiment shown, each connecting part 2, 3 is designed with a single housing part 20, 30 in which the respective magnetic element 24, 34 is accommodated.
[0058] In the Fig. 1A bis 1D In the embodiment shown, the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330, in the Fig. 1C shown cross-sectional plane each extends obliquely to the direction of engagement E and have the same oblique angle, for example in a range between 5° and 80°, in particular between 20° and 60°, to the direction of engagement E.
[0059] In a Fig. 2A-2E bis 4A-4D In the embodiment shown, connecting parts 2, 3 of the connecting device 1 are each formed by two housing parts 20, 21, 30, 31, which are connected to one another in a locking manner to form the respective connecting part 2, 3 and each accommodate a magnetic element 24, 34 between them.
[0060] Each connecting part 2, 3 has an upper housing part 20, 30 and a lower housing part 21, 31. In the assembled position, the respective magnetic element 24, 34 is received between the housing parts 20, 21, 30, 31 and held in a receiving opening 211, 311 of the lower housing part 21, 31.
[0061] The upper housing part 20 forms an engagement opening 23, 33 with a contact surface 230, 330 and a base 231, 331.
[0062] On a side facing away from the engagement opening 23, 33, the housing part 20, 30 has a circumferential locking section 201, 301, which can be brought into locking engagement with a circumferential locking section 212, 312 on a housing section of the lower housing part 21, 31 forming the receiving opening 211, 311 in order to connect the housing parts 20, 21, 30, 31 to one another, as is shown for example in Fig. 3C und 3D is evident.
[0063] The lower housing part 21, 31 each forms an engagement section 22, 32 with a circumferential, conical contact surface 220, 320.
[0064] Each housing part 20, 21, 30, 31 forms an edge section 200, 210, 300, 310. Between the edge sections 200, 210, 300, 310 of the housing parts 20, 21, 30, 31 of each connecting part 2, 3, an assembly, for example a textile fabric of a garment, can be accommodated in order to connect the connecting parts 2, 3 in this way to a respective associated assembly.
[0065] With regard to the function of connecting and emergency opening of the connecting parts 2, 3, the embodiment according to Fig. 2A-2E bis 4A-4D identical to the embodiment according to Fig. 1A bis 1D , so reference should be made to the above statements.
[0066] In the connected position ( Fig. 3A bis 3D ) the engagement section 32 of one connecting part 3 is in engagement with the engagement opening 23 of the other connecting part 2, wherein in the event of transverse loading, a force deflection and thus an emergency opening for separating the connecting parts 2, 3 in a release direction L is effected by the contact surfaces 230, 320 running onto one another.
[0067] One in Fig. 5A bis 5D The illustrated embodiment is comparable to the embodiment according to Fig. 2A-2E bis 4A-4D , however, differs from the previous embodiment in that the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 are each stepped with steps 221, as can be seen in particular from the enlarged view according to Fig. 5D Each step 221 is formed by a vertical end face 222 and a horizontal platform surface 223, wherein each contact surface 220, 230, 320, 330 extends obliquely to the engagement direction E, following an extension direction extending obliquely to the engagement direction E and having, on average, the gradient of this extension direction.
[0068] In the connected position, the contact surface 320 on the engagement section 32 of one connecting part 3 lies in contact with the contact surface 230 within the engagement opening 23 of the other connecting part 2, as can be seen from Fig. 5C und 5D can be seen. Due to the stepped design of the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330, the mobility of the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 relative to one another can be adjusted under transverse load, so that the release force required for emergency opening can be dimensioned.
[0069] As from Fig. 6A bis 6D As can be seen, a stepped design can also be achieved in that the end faces 222 of the steps 221 on the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 are extended obliquely (for example at an angle between 5° and 20°) to the engagement direction E.
[0070] Alternatively, the end faces 222, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 7A bis 7D , also form an undercut to make it difficult or even impossible for the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 to move over each other.
[0071] Alternatively, transitions between the end faces 222 and the platform surfaces 223 of the steps 221 can be rounded, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 8A bis 8D .
[0072] The end faces 222 of the steps 221 can also be inclined in such a rounded configuration, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 9A bis 9D , or form an undercut, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 10A bis 10D .
[0073] The steps 221 form structural elements on the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330, by means of which a tangential, sliding movement of the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 relative to one another can be set. Such structural elements interrupt the generally oblique extension of the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330. The structural elements can extend circumferentially around the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330, as in the steps 221 of the previously described embodiments, but can also be locally limited to one or more circumferential sections.
[0074] Instead of steps 221, other structural elements may also be provided, for example in the form of knobs, teeth, waves, ribs or the like.
[0075] In a Fig. 11A bis 11D The illustrated embodiment is - in comparison to the embodiment according to Fig. 1A bis 1D - in the region of the engagement opening 23, 33 of each connecting part 2, 3, a raised portion 232, 332 in the shape of a truncated cone is formed, which protrudes counter to the engagement direction E and is delimited by a circumferential run-up surface 233, 333. Complementarily formed on the engagement portion 22, 32 of each connecting part 2, 3 is a receiving opening 224, 324, which is delimited by a circumferential run-up surface 225, 325.
[0076] In the connected position, the engagement portion 32 of one connecting part 3 engages in the engagement opening 23 of the other connecting part 2, as can be seen from Fig. 11C can be seen. The raised portion 232 engages in the region of the bottom 231 of the engagement opening 23 into the receiving opening 324 on the engagement portion 32, thereby improving the transverse hold of the connecting parts 2, 3 relative to one another.
[0077] When the connecting parts 2, 3 are subjected to transverse loading relative to one another, the contact surfaces 230, 320 of the engagement opening 23 and the engagement section 32 run onto one another, as described above with reference to Fig. 1A bis 1D has been described. In addition, the contact surfaces 233, 325 of the raised portion 232 and the receiving opening 324 converge on one another, thus again providing an emergency opening functionality.
[0078] As in the embodiment according to Fig. 1A bis 1D the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 extend obliquely to the engagement direction E, so that a conical, tapered shape results at the engagement sections 22, 32 and the engagement openings 23, 33.
[0079] The run-up surfaces 225, 233, 325, 333 are also positioned obliquely to the direction of engagement E, wherein the run-up surfaces 225, 233, 325, 333 have a larger angle to the direction of engagement E in the illustrated embodiment.
[0080] Otherwise, the embodiment is as per Fig. 11A bis 11D functionally equivalent to the embodiment according to Fig. 1A bis 1D , so reference should also be made to the above statements.
[0081] In a Fig. 12A bis 12D In the embodiment shown, the connecting parts 2, 3 of the connecting device 1 are as in the embodiment according to Fig. 1A bis 1D , each formed with a single housing part 20, 30. The housing parts 20, 30 each form an edge section 200, 300, which extends circumferentially around the respectively associated engagement opening 23, 33 and via which an associated assembly 4, 5, for example a textile fabric of a garment, is connected to the respective connecting part 2, 3. The connection can be made, for example, mechanically or chemically, for example by gluing, sewing, welding, or riveting.
[0082] In a Fig. 13A bis 13D illustrated embodiment is additionally, in comparison to the embodiment according to Fig. 12A bis 12D , a fastening element 25, 35 in the form of a ring is provided, which is attached to a side of the respective assembly 4, 5 facing away from the respective edge section 200, 300 in order to cover the assembly 4, 5 on a side facing away from the edge section 200, 300 and to strengthen the connection.
[0083] In the previously described embodiments, the connecting parts 2, 3 are each rotationally symmetrical in their basic form, with conical engagement sections 22, 32 and engagement openings 23, 33. However, the shape of the engagement sections 22, 32 and the engagement openings 23, 33 is, in principle, arbitrary in a cross-sectional plane transverse to the engagement direction E and may, in particular, deviate from rotational symmetry.
[0084] In a Fig. 14A bis 14D In the embodiment shown, the engagement sections 22, 32 and the engagement openings 23, 33 are triangular in cross section transverse to the engagement direction E. In a Fig. 15A bis 15D In the embodiment shown, the engagement sections 22, 32 and the engagement openings 23, 33 are square in cross section transverse to the engagement direction E, in a Fig. 16A bis 16D illustrated embodiment is pentagonal and in a Fig. 17A bis 17D The illustrated embodiment is hexagonal in shape. Each polygonal shape is isosceles, meaning it has the same edge length, but this is not a limitation. The edge lengths can also be different if necessary.
[0085] In principle, any cross-sectional shapes, even irregular ones, are conceivable and possible at the engagement sections 22, 32 and the engagement openings 23, 33.
[0086] In a Fig. 18A bis 18D In the illustrated embodiment, connecting sections 203, 303 are connected to the edge sections 200, 300 of the housing parts 20, 30 of the connecting parts 2, 3 of a connecting device 1 via angled offset sections 202, 302. The connecting sections 203, 303 are arranged relative to the edge sections 200, 300 via the offset sections 202, 302 such that the connecting sections 203, 303 extend along a common plane. The connecting sections 203, 303 are used to connect associated assemblies 4, 5, for example, the textile fabric of a garment. Due to the arrangement of the connecting sections 203, 303 in alignment with one another, a transverse load along a transverse direction Q, which is introduced via the assemblies 4, 5, occurs in a common plane A, which, for example, points approximately centrally through the engagement opening 23 of the connecting part 2 and thus causes a symmetrical force input.
[0087] In the embodiments described above, the contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 each extend in a straight line in a cross-sectional plane spanned by the engagement direction E and the transverse direction Q and are positioned obliquely to the engagement direction E. However, this is not limiting.
[0088] For example, only one of the connecting parts 2, 3 can have a conical contact surface 230 at an engagement opening 23, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 19 , while a contact surface 320 on an engagement portion 32 of the other connecting part 3 extends parallel to the engagement direction E.
[0089] The contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330 can also be curved, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 20Thus, the engagement portions 22, 32 and the engagement openings 23, 33 can each have a spherical, spherical shape with curved contact surfaces 220, 230, 320, 330.
[0090] The idea underlying the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, but can also be implemented in other ways as long as this lies within the scope of the claims.
[0091] A connecting device of the type described can be used in a variety of ways, for example, on garments or fasteners for straps, etc. In particular, a connecting device can be used wherever a secure connection in the closed position is desired, but with the possibility of emergency opening in the event of a transverse load exceeding a certain limit force.
