Description

[0001] The invention relates to a gate with a locking system according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] There are various systems for closing and opening doors for garages, halls and the like, in particular slat-type doors in which the door opening can be closed by successive slats that extend between post-like posts that delimit the door opening.

[0003] With this type of door system, opening is usually achieved by the slats being raised by a drive train and wound around a shaft located above the door opening. The main disadvantage of these systems is that, on the one hand, the height of the slats is limited due to the necessary winding process to avoid compromising their ability to be wound around a shaft. On the other hand, the closure of the door opening is dependent on a large number of slats arranged one above the other, which is disadvantageous for various reasons, particularly due to its appearance.

[0004] The object of the invention is to provide a door for garages, halls and the like with a novel door locking system which is free from the disadvantages of the prior art, in particular allowing a small space requirement for the slats in the rest position when the door is open.

[0005] This object is achieved according to the invention by the features contained in the characterizing part of claim 1, wherein expedient developments of the invention are characterized by the features contained in the subclaims.

[0006] According to the invention, in a louvre door, the slats are moved vertically downward when the door is opened and lowered into the floor below ground. In the lowered position, they are moved transversely, particularly preferably perpendicular to the downward movement, into a storage unit that can be provided in the floor and in which the lowered slats are arranged one behind the other or next to each other, particularly horizontally, with these slats aligned vertically. This eliminates the need for winding up the slats and allows the slats to be lowered below ground in a simple and space-saving manner, preferably in the floor area within the garage or hall, and stored in the floor area below ground. This handling of the slats also allows for very large slat heights, so that far fewer slats are required to close a door opening than would be necessary with the winding process. This has the further advantage that the small number of slats required to cover the door opening in the closed position ensures a largely closed appearance. For doors of a standard height, approximately four to five slats can be used.

[0007] Another advantage is the vertical arrangement of the slats below ground in the storage tank, which not only saves space but also ensures secure installation. Furthermore, no deep excavation is required.

[0008] In a very simple manner, when the door is in the open position, the floor opening in the floor area below ground can be conveniently closed with the slats lowered by the upper front edge of the lowered top slat, so that the penetration of material from outside into the floor storage area via the floor opening is prevented.

[0009] The slats are raised by coupling the successive slats by a towing mechanism, similar to towing brackets, with each towing bracket coupling two adjacent slats together.

[0010] In this context, it is advisable to provide slat segments on both sides of the slats, which can then be suitably designed with the tow bar mechanism in mind. The slats can then be arranged on the slat segments. As the slat segments are raised, which are preferably housed in the post-like posts bordering the door opening on both sides, the slat segments are easily guided for upward and downward movement.

[0011] In a preferred embodiment, the towing brackets are each formed from a longitudinal bracket which has hinge pins at both ends, via which an articulated mounting of the slat segments or slats coupled to one another via the towing bracket takes place.

[0012] In adaptation to the towing mechanism, the slat segments are each designed with a longitudinal guide, preferably in the form of an elongated hole, wherein at the lower end there is expediently a downward and outwardly directed inclined guide, wherein the longitudinal and inclined guide is provided for the hinge pins.

[0013] In a further practical design, the slat segments are each provided with a downward and outward-facing slanted surface on their upper and lower end edges, which is conveniently aligned parallel to the slanted guide. The guides and the slanted surfaces facilitate the transfer of the slats from the horizontal arrangement in the floor storage unit to the vertical raising movement, as well as the lowering and retraction of the slats or slat segments into the floor storage unit.

[0014] Also practical for the towing mechanism is the design of the slat segments in the form of a box-shaped hollow profile. The longitudinal guide is preferably provided in the form of an elongated hole on a box cheek, followed by the inclined guide for the hinge pins, which can be provided on the side cheek. This results in a very simple and maintenance-free design of the towing mechanism. Furthermore, thanks to the slat segments, differently shaped slats can be used for the door system as required, depending on the customer's requirements, since in this case only the segments need to be designed to fit the towing brackets.

[0015] Each towing bracket is advantageously designed with a longitudinal bracket and a hinge pin at the upper and lower ends of the longitudinal bracket. The hinge pins, which are particularly circular or cylindrical, are formed by protrusions on both sides of the longitudinal bracket. This results in consistent guidance and alignment of the slats during the towing process. Advantageously, the door opening is defined on both sides by posts designed as hollow profiles, in which the slat segments or slats can be guided.

[0016] The floor storage unit can be formed in a simple manner by means of a corresponding recess in the floor, whereby a frame structure can be formed using corresponding steel profiles, which is inserted into the recess and can accommodate the guide elements for guiding the slats and the slats and slat segments below the floor in a space-saving and simple manner.

[0017] Preferred embodiments of the invention are described below with reference to the drawings, which show, in a purely schematic representation, Fig. 1a perspective view of a door for a garage or hall Fig. 2a view of the door according to Fig. 1 Seen from the inside Fig. 3A view of the door again seen from the inside with details of the underfloor structure of the door Fig. 4A partial view in the underfloor structure to show the slat segments and slats Fig. 5A perspective view analogous Fig. 4 , but in an enlarged view Fig. 6a representation of slat segments or slats in the raised state Fig. 7a representation of the Fig. 6 with partially omitted parts relating to the slat segments in a perspective view Fig. 8 a schematic view showing the drag bars within the slat segments when the slats are raised and Fig. 9 an analogous representation of slat segments with drag bars.

[0018] It should be noted that the figures, which are purely schematic, do not always show all components of the door, but only those components and elements that are necessary to understand the structure and function of the slatted door.

[0019] The Fig. 1 bis 3 show the overall construction of the gate, generally designated 1, with vertical post-like posts 2, 4 provided on both sides, which delimit the gate opening 6, which can be closed and opened by the locking system, namely by slats 8, which can be raised from a storage or rest position underground to close the opening 6 one after the other via a towing mechanism, which will be described in more detail below, along the vertical posts 2, 4. The raising takes place via a designated 10 and consisting of Fig. 2 and the Fig. 4 and 5visible drive train 10, which is preferably provided on both sides of the gate 1. In the illustrated embodiment, the drive train is formed by a chain 12, specifically a revolving chain 12, but could also be formed by a cable strand or the like. The chain is designated in the illustrations by the reference numeral 12 and is guided via a deflection pinion 14 arranged at the lower end of the gate and an upper one in the Fig. 2 A deflection pinion (not shown) is used. The post-like posts 2, 4 are preferably designed as hollow profiles and serve as guides for raising the slats, as will be described in more detail below.

[0020] Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 as well as Fig. 2 show the slats in storage or rest position, in which they are accommodated and stored underground in a floor storage 16.

[0021] The floor storage unit is expediently constructed from a frame structure, formed, for example, by steel profiles to form a chamber for accommodating the slats below the floor.

[0022] How best to use the Fig. 2 , 4 and 5 As can be seen, in their lowest position the slats 8 are arranged one behind the other below the floor, in a vertical alignment of the slats 8 parallel to the posts or posts 2, 4, which enables a space-saving arrangement of the slats 8 when the door is open.

[0023] Based on the Fig. 2 , 4 and 5The mechanism for raising and lowering the slats 8 is described in more detail in the preferred embodiment. In this preferred embodiment, the slats 8 are provided on both sides with slat segments 18, to which the slats are preferably suspended or arranged, which can be done in any desired and suitable manner. The advantage of this arrangement is that the slat segments can be specially designed for the raising and lowering movement in adaptation to the towing mechanism, but the slats can be used independently solely for covering the door opening 6. Of course, if necessary, the slats can also be used for this purpose, or the slat segments 18 could be part of the slats 8.

[0024] As from Fig. 5 As can be seen, the slat segments 18 are box-shaped, i.e., in the form of a box, with a rectangular cross-section in the illustrated embodiment. The slat segments 18 each have a longitudinal guide 20 on a narrow side, which in the preferred embodiment is designed as an elongated hole in the box cheek. At the lower end of the longitudinal guide 20, which is preferably designed as an elongated hole, there is an inclined guide 22, which is best seen from the Fig. 8 und 9 The longitudinal guide 20, preferably as a slot, is vertical and thus parallel to the posts 2 and 4 and the diagonal guide 22 runs from the inside of the gate to the outside diagonally downwards, as best seen from the Fig. 2 , 4 and 5 emerges.

[0025] Both the longitudinal guide 20 and the diagonal guide 22 are preferably formed in the box-shaped slat segments 18, specifically as an elongated hole on the side cheek of the box of the slat segments on the inside of the door, parallel to the slats 8. The diagonal guide 22 is particularly formed within the box of the slat segments 18, specifically preferably on the two lateral box cheeks, specifically in the form of an obliquely directed groove, as best seen from the Fig. 8 und 9 emerges.

[0026] The longitudinal and inclined guides 20, 22 correspond to a towing bracket 24, which, as best seen from Fig. 5 and 9is formed from a longitudinal bracket 26 and hinge pins 28 arranged at the upper and lower ends of the longitudinal bracket 26, which is not mandatory but only preferred. In this case, the longitudinal bracket 26 is expediently arranged centrally with respect to the hinge pins 28, so that the hinge pin 28 protrudes perpendicularly from the longitudinal bracket on both sides and is thus bent on both sides. The upper hinge pin 28 is located within the box of the front and thus, in the extended position, upper slat segment 18, here in the embodiment according to Fig. 5 in segment 18a and the lower hinge pin 28 is located or extends through the slot 20 of the rear and following slat segment 18b in the upward movement of the slats. It should be noted that in Fig. 5 The hinge pin 28 is not shown in engagement with the adjacent slat segment 18, but this is purely informative in order to better illustrate the design of the hinge pin and thus the towing bracket. Of course, this is also functionally integrated into the Fig. 5 purely free-standing hinge pins 28 are received in the hollow body of the adjacent slat segment, here the slat segment 18a, and engage with the two bent legs of the hinge pin 28 behind the elongated hole or the longitudinal guide 20, so that two successive slat segments are coupled to one another via the drag brackets.

[0027] Preferably, and this is very expedient within the scope of the invention, the slat segments 18 arranged on both sides of the slats 8 are provided with inclined surfaces 30 and 32 on their upper and lower end faces, respectively. In the illustrated embodiment, these are directed diagonally downwards from the inside of the door to the outside and are preferably parallel to the inclined guides 22. These inclined surfaces are useful for converting the horizontal movement of the slats or slat segments in the floor storage unit for raising the slats between the posts and also during lowering, which occurs due to gravity, wherein the inclined surfaces cause the slat segments to move from a vertical downward movement into a horizontal outward movement into the floor storage unit 16, as will be described in more detail below.

[0028] For transferring the slats 8 or the slat segments 18 attached to the slats 8 from the vertical downward movement into a horizontal movement toward the rest or storage position of the slats in the floor storage unit, horizontal guides 34 are preferably provided on both sides in the illustrated embodiment, which are preferably designed as guide rails, in particular in the form of hollow profiles. These guides extend transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the post-like posts 2, 4 and are located within the floor storage unit 16. As can be seen from the Fig. 2 and 5 As can be seen, a chain tensioner 36 is expediently attached to each of the guide rails in order to suitably adjust or re-tension the appropriate tension for the drive train, here in the illustrated embodiment in the form of a circulating chain.

[0029] The slat segments 18 are guided within the floor storage unit 16 along the guide rails 34 arranged on both sides, preferably according to the illustrated embodiment by means of carriages 38 which are horizontally displaceable on the guides 34, here preferably via two wheels or rollers 40 arranged at a distance from one another per carriage.

[0030] From the Fig. 2 and 5also shows a fastening box 42, by means of which, in a suitable and known manner, preferably the uppermost slat 18a is fastened to the chain, with the result that with movement of the chain or the drive train 12, the uppermost slat or slat segment 18a is guided upwards along the posts 2, 4 and, as a result of the towing brackets (24), which are coupled or engaged with adjacent slat segments 18 or slats 8, the further slats are successively carried along, as will be described in more detail below. Suitable devices can be used for the fastening box 42 to clamp such drive trains, which is known in the prior art. Fig. 4 Finally, in a suitable embodiment of the invention, a drive pinion 44 is provided for driving the chain 12, wherein the drive pinion 44 is provided on both the left and right side of the gate. The figure shows on the right side the drive unit designated 46, which comprises a Fig. 3 visible and extending between the two posts 2, 4, which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the drive pinions 44 arranged on both sides, so that the drive of the left-hand and right-hand drive train 12 takes place synchronously, whereby the slats can be moved synchronously and in the same horizontal alignment along the posts 2, 4.

[0031] The following describes the operation of the door's locking system. As already mentioned above, the drive is provided by a motor within the drive unit 46, which in the illustrated embodiment is controlled by the right and Figuren 3 and4The visible drive pinion 44 drives the shaft 48 and thus also the left-side drive pinion 44, whereby the chain 12 runs up to close the gate 1 and thus raises the slat or slat segment 18a, which is indirectly attached to the chain, via the fastening box 42. The slat segments are raised one after the other via the towing brackets 24. Due to the inclined surface, the slat segments are moved horizontally via the carriages 40 in the direction of the posts, each being moved under the frontmost slat segment and then dragged upwards in a vertical orientation along the posts. This is achieved by the engagement of the towing brackets with their hinge pins between adjacent slat segments 18.When the slat segments are raised, the slat moving up along the posts moves upwards and the respective uppermost hinge pin 24 of the corresponding towing bracket 24 strikes the upper end of the elongated hole 20 as it moves up, so that the slat located behind it is taken along by the corresponding slat segment, approximately 18b, guided horizontally between the posts and moved upwards between the posts with the previous slat or the previous slat segment 18a in order to close the door via the slats. This means that here, the interaction between the inclined surfaces of the adjacent slat segments, the engagement of the towing brackets via the hinge pins 28 in the longitudinal guides and the inclined guides of the slat segments, the slats orSlat segments from the floor storage unit 16 along the guide rails 34 in the direction of posts 2, 4 and then the conversion of the horizontal movement into the vertical upward movement. During the downward movement, the lowest slat segment can be transferred to the right into the floor storage unit via the guide rails and the carriages 38 arranged thereon, preferably due to gravity, as a result of the inclined surface 30, so that the vertical setting movement of the corresponding slat segment as a result of the transfer results in a horizontal movement of the slat segment into the floor storage unit along the guide rails 34. This occurs through the succession of the slat segments, which are transferred into the floor storage unit due to gravity during the downward movement in such a way that they are then arranged there in a vertical orientation one behind the other or next to each other in the floor storage unit in a space-saving manner. They can also be easily moved outward again with the appropriate drive train and raised between the posts to close the gate. Of course, deviations from the preferred embodiment described are possible within the scope of expert practice without affecting the essence of the invention. The invention is defined by the following claims.
