Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a seating furniture chassis according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] Seating furniture chassis with a back part that can be attached to fastening means of a base body are known from the state of the art.
[0003] US 2011 / 0215630 A1 discloses a chair assembly comprising a seat, a backrest, and at least one armrest, which are detachably connected to one another without the use of tools or requiring special skills. The chair assembly can be shipped disassembled in a compact, space-saving package to reduce transportation costs. An arm connecting bracket attached to the arm is slidably and removably received in an arm bracket receptacle attached to the seat, thereby detachably connecting the arm to the seat. A back connecting bracket attached to the backrest is slidably and removably received in a backrest receptacle attached to the arm, thereby detachably connecting the backrest to the arm.The back brace receiver includes a rotatable locking release lever configured to rotate into and out of locking engagement with the back brace after the back brace slides into the releasable receiver through the back brace receiver.
[0004] DE 10 2014 002 215 A1 discloses a piece of seating furniture with a frame and an attachment. The attachment is connected to the frame via an assembly unit comprising at least two separate connections. The first connection is a plug-in connection. The attachment is pivotally mounted relative to the frame when plugged in. The second connection is a locking connection with a locking lug and an undercut engaged by the locking lug. The locking lug and the undercut of the second connection can be locked by pivoting the first connection when plugged in.
[0005] In contrast, the present invention is based on the object of creating a seating furniture chassis with a backrest that is particularly easy to attach thereto. Furthermore, a modular system comprising such a seating furniture chassis and multiple backrests, as well as a method for attaching a backrest of such a seating furniture chassis to a base body of such a seating furniture chassis, is to be created.
[0006] This object is achieved by a seating furniture chassis according to claim 1, a modular system according to claim 11, and a method according to claim 12. Embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
[0007] The seating furniture chassis comprises a base body, fastening elements, and a backrest. In this description, a base body is understood to mean, in particular, a structure comprising a seat frame and one or more feet with which the seating furniture chassis can be placed on a floor surface. The seat frame can surround a seat. Once the seat is upholstered, a user can sit on the upholstery.
[0008] The fastening means are arranged on the base body. For example, they can be located in a rear edge area of the base body. This can, in particular, be an edge area that, when the seating furniture chassis is used as intended, is located behind a user sitting on the upholstered seat frame.
[0009] The backrest can be removably attached to the fastening elements. In this description, a removably attached element is understood to mean that the backrest can be intuitively attached to the fastening elements without the use of tools, and can also be removed from the fastening elements again without the use of tools. It is important to ensure that neither the backrest nor the fastening elements are damaged during both the attachment and removal process.
[0010] In the context of this description, a back part is understood to mean in particular a part that supports the back of a user when the seating furniture chassis is used as intended.
[0011] The fastening means comprise a spring element and a fastening element. The spring element exerts a force on the fastening element. When the back part is attached to the fastening means, the fastening element is moved by the back part against the spring force. In the context of this description, fastening refers in particular to the process of attaching the back part to the base body. In this way, the back part can be attached to the fastening means by utilizing the spring force and released again by overcoming the spring force.
[0012] The removable backrest has the particular advantage that the base can be transported separately from the backrest. This eliminates the need to transport two separate, less bulky items, rather than a single, large, bulky item. It's also advantageous that users can attach the backrest to the fasteners at home, allowing them to select a backrest that best suits their needs rather than being restricted to a specific backrest already attached to the base. Replacing the backrest is also simplified. This is particularly advantageous if, for example, a user wants to use a larger or smaller backrest.
[0013] Furthermore, handling the seating frame during production is simplified. Due to occupational health and safety regulations and the weight, it may not be permissible for a single worker to carry both the base and the backrest simultaneously. Since the backrest and base can each be carried separately, a single worker can transport the entire seating frame without the need for additional equipment.
[0014] The fastening means have a locking area. The back part includes a locking element. The locking element is arranged in the locking area when the back part is attached to the fastening means.
[0015] The fastening element exerts a locking force, triggered by the spring force, on the locking element when the locking element is arranged in the locking region. For example, the spring element can be attached to the fastening element in a first end region, whereby a second end region of the fastening element, which is arranged opposite the first end region, can exert the locking force on the locking element. In this case, a torque acts on the fastening element due to the spring force, which in turn causes the locking force.
[0016] It is possible that in addition to the locking force triggered by the spring force, the fastening element exerts a force on the locking element that holds the locking element in the locking area.
[0017] The locking element can be inserted into the locking area from above. It is particularly possible for the locking element to be inserted into the locking area from above when attaching the backrest to the fasteners.
[0018] The backrest can be secured to the fasteners by a second pivoting movement of the backrest. During this second pivoting movement, the locking element triggers the movement of the fastener against the spring force.
[0019] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening element can be arranged in a first position when the locking element is arranged in the locking area.
[0020] According to one embodiment of the invention, the spring force can trigger a pivoting movement of the fastening element about the first pivot axis from the first position to a second position when the locking element is removed from the locking area.
[0021] According to one embodiment of the invention, the locking element can be designed to trigger the movement of the fastening element counter to the spring force. For example, the locking element can come into contact with the fastening element when the back part is attached to the fastening means, thus triggering the movement.
[0022] According to one embodiment of the invention, the outer shape of the locking element can be adapted to the locking area. For example, the locking area can have a curve whose radius approximately corresponds to the radius of a curve of the locking element. This allows the locking element to be particularly well received in the locking area.
[0023] According to one embodiment of the invention, the back part can comprise a positioning element. The fastening means can comprise a positioning region. The positioning element can be inserted into the positioning region. The positioning element can define a second pivot axis. The second pivoting movement can occur about the second pivot axis. The interaction of the positioning element with the positioning region is particularly advantageous for a particularly simple attachment of the back part to the fastening means.
[0024] According to one embodiment of the invention, an outer shape of the positioning element can be adapted to a shape of the positioning area. For example, the positioning area can have a curve whose radius approximately corresponds to the radius of a curve of the positioning element. This allows the positioning element to be particularly well received in the positioning area.
[0025] According to one embodiment of the invention, the positioning element can be inserted into the positioning area from above.
[0026] According to one embodiment of the invention, the backrest can comprise a backrest. A backrest is defined as an area that, after the application of upholstery, can be used by a user to support their back during the intended use of the seating furniture chassis.
[0027] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening means can comprise guide means and a locking means. The fastening element can comprise a spring means. The spring means can be guided in the guide means during movement of the fastening element. The spring means can be engageable in the locking means. When the spring means is engaged, the fastening element can release the locking element. In the context of this description, this is understood in particular to mean that the fastening element exerts no force on the locking element and the locking element can be removed from the fastening means.
[0028] This design is advantageous because it simplifies disassembly of the backrest. A user can secure the fastening element by engaging the spring element in the locking element. The backrest can then be easily removed.
[0029] According to one embodiment of the invention, the spring means can be elastically deformable. It can, in particular, be removed from the locking means by elastic deformation. This allows the spring means to be separated from the locking means particularly easily. The fastening element can then be reused as described above.
[0030] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening element can have a first projection that can be brought into engagement with a second projection of a pivotable holding element. The second projection can hold the first projection due to gravity when the first projection is engaged with the second projection, so that the fastening element remains in a position in which it releases the locking element.
[0031] This design is particularly advantageous for easy disassembly of the backrest. A user can disassemble the backrest quietly and without major obstacles once the fastening element releases the locking element.
[0032] The modular system according to claim 11 comprises a seating furniture chassis according to one of the preceding claims and several backrests. The backrests have different sizes. All backrests can be attached to the fastening means in the same way.
[0033] In the context of this description, a modular system is understood to mean in particular a system in which different back parts can be attached to the fastening means without adjustments to the back parts and the fastening means.
[0034] The modular system is particularly advantageous if, for example, a user wants to replace their backrest. They simply need a new backrest and can replace it themselves.
[0035] In the method according to claim 12, the positioning element is inserted into the positioning area. The second pivoting movement is then performed. During the second pivoting movement, the locking element pivots the fastening element about the first pivot axis. The second pivoting movement also inserts the locking element into the locking area, preferably from above. The fastening element then exerts the locking force on the locking element. Further features and advantages of the present invention will become clear from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. The same reference numerals are used for identical or similar components and for components with identical or similar functions. These drawings show: Fig. 1 shows four side views of fastening means according to one embodiment and parts of a back part; Fig. 2 shows a schematic perspective view of the fastening means from Fig. 1 ; Fig. 3 a schematic side view of a seating furniture chassis according to an embodiment of the invention with a base body and a back part fastened to the base body; Fig. 4 a schematic perspective view of fastening means according to an embodiment of the invention; Fig. 5A-E several schematic side views of the embodiment of Fig. 4 ; Fig. 6A-C several schematic side views of an assembly of a seating furniture chassis according to a further embodiment of the invention; and Fig. 7A-D several schematic side views of a disassembly of the seating furniture chassis from Fig. 6A-C .
[0036] The fastening means 100 are attached to a Figures 1A to 1DThe fastening means are arranged on a base body (not shown) of a seating furniture chassis. A backrest can be attached to the fastening means. For this purpose, the backrest has a locking element 101 and a positioning element 102. The positioning element 102 in turn comprises a bolt 103. The fastening means comprise a positioning area 104, a spring element 105, a locking area 106, and a fastening element 107.
[0037] The spring element 105 is connected to the fastening element 107 and exerts a spring force on the fastening element 107. The fastening element 107 is pivotable about a first pivot axis.
[0038] In the Figures 1A to 1D The fastening process of the back part to the fastening means 100 is shown in chronological order. First, as in Figure 1Ashown - the back part and the fastening means 100 are separated from one another. Using the positioning element 102, a connection is then established between the fastening means 100 and the back part. The bolt 103 is inserted into the positioning area 104. For this purpose, it is advantageous for the external shape of the bolt 103 to be adapted to the shape of the positioning area 104. Furthermore, the bolt 103 and the positioning area 104 can have the same color, thus simplifying assembly for a user, since the same color makes it clear to the user that these two components must be connected to one another. Alternatively or additionally, a tactile shape marking can be provided on the bolt 103 and the positioning area 104. The shape markings can be the same or identical and assist blind users during assembly. The bolt 103 thus defines a second pivot axis around which the backrest can pivot. This state is shown in . Figure 1B shown.
[0039] In order to simplify the insertion of the bolt 103 into the positioning area 104, the positioning element 102 has a slope over which the positioning element 102 can slide, so that the bolt 103 is inserted into the positioning area 104.
[0040] The back part is then pivoted about the second pivot axis. The locking element 101 comes into contact with the fastening element 107 and pivots it against the spring force about the first pivot axis. It is advantageous for the locking element 101 to have a bevel on the side facing the fastening element 107 during the fastening process, thus simplifying insertion. This state is shown in Figure 1C shown.
[0041] When the pivoting movement of the back part is continued around the second pivot axis, the locking element 101 reaches the locking area 106. For this purpose, it is advantageous that the outer shape of a section of the locking element 101 is adapted to the shape of the locking area 106. In this position, the fastening element 107 exerts a locking force on the locking element 101, which is caused by the spring element 105. In this way, the locking element 101 is securely held in the locking area 106. This state is in Figure 1D shown.
[0042] The fastening element 107 has a hook-shaped projection that engages around a portion of the locking element 101 when the locking element 101 is arranged in the locking region 106. The hook-shaped projection has a curve. In the region of the curve, the fastening element 107 is in contact with the locking element 101 when the locking element 101 is arranged in the locking region 106. It is possible for the curve to have an inconstant radius of curvature. In Near one end of the fastener 107, the radius of curvature may be smaller than in an area farther from the end.
[0043] The inconsistent radius of curvature has the particular advantage that when the locking element 101 is inserted into the locking area 106, the fastening element 107 pulls the locking element 101 into the locking area and clamps it in the inserted state. Thus, the locking element 101 is held in the locking area 106 without play.
[0044] The locking element 101 can be color-coordinated with the locking area 106. For example, the locking element 101 can have the same color as the locking area 106. This further simplifies assembly for a user.
[0045] Additionally or alternatively, matching shape markings can be provided on the locking area 106 and on the locking element 101. For example, the same shape marking can be arranged on the locking area 106 as on the locking element 101. In this description, a shape marking is understood to mean a tactile marking. It can be designed, for example, as a protrusion or recess. The shape marking can assist blind users during assembly.
[0046] It is also possible for the locking element 101 and / or the locking area 106 to comprise a magnetic element, so that the locking element 101 and the locking area 106 are held together by a magnetic force. This is particularly advantageous during assembly, as the magnetic force allows the user to notice the correct insertion procedure. The insertion process can, for example, be guided by the magnetic force.
[0047] In Figure 2 the fastening means 100 are shown, with the back part being fastened to the fastening means 100. This state corresponds to the one in Figure 1D shown condition. Furthermore, in Figure 2 It can be seen that the fastening means 100 comprise two fastening elements 107. The back part comprises several positioning elements 102. The fastening means 100 comprise a corresponding number of positioning areas. In Figure 2Also shown are two spring fastening means 200, to each of which one of the spring elements 105 is fastened in order to exert the spring force on the respective fastening element 107.
[0048] The Figure 3 The seating furniture chassis shown comprises a base body 300 with a seat frame, the fastening means 100 on the base body 300 and a back part 301 fastened to the fastening means 100. The back part 301 comprises the positioning element 102 and the locking element 101. The back part 301 is fastened to the fastening means 100 with the locking element 101 and the positioning element 102.
[0049] The Figure 4 The embodiment shown differs from the embodiment shown in Figure 2 in particular in that the fastening element 107 comprises a spring means 400 which is guided in guide means 401 and can be latched into a latching means 402.
[0050] The function of the embodiment from Figure 4 can be determined by the Figures 5A to E If the locking element 101 is to be released from the fastening means 100, the fastening element 107 is pivoted so that the locking element 101 is released. In this state, the locking element 101 no longer exerts any force on the fastening element 107. During the pivoting of the fastening element 107, the spring means 400 is guided in the guide means 401 and engages in the locking means 402, so that the fastening element 107 is no longer automatically moved back. This state is in Figure 5A shown.
[0051] The back part can now be removed. The spring means 400 can then be elastically deformed so that it is moved out of the locking means 402 ( Fig. 5B ). It is pivoted back by the spring force of the spring element 105 ( Fig. 5C) and reaches a stop. The spring means 400 can then be deformed back again so that it enters the guide means 401. The fastening element 107 is then pivoted back further so that it is again suitable for fastening the locking element 101.
[0052] The embodiment in the Figures 6 and 7 differs in particular from the embodiment shown in the Figures 4 and 5 how the fastening element 107 is held during disassembly so that the back part can be removed.
[0053] The assembly is in the Figures 6A to C First, the fastening element 107 is pivoted by the locking element 101. For disassembly, which is carried out in the Figures 7A to 7DAs shown, a projection 701 of the fastening element 107 is brought into engagement with a projection 702 of a pivotable holding element 700. The projection 702 of the pivotable holding element 700 then holds the projection 701 of the fastening element 107 due to gravity, so that the fastening element remains in a position in which it releases the locking element 101.
[0054] After removing the locking element 101 from the locking area, the two projections 701 and 702 can be released from each other by pivoting both the fastening element and the holding element 700. In Figure 7D is then the starting position for assembly, as in Figure 6A , shown.
