AI Technical Summary
Existing gearbox housings require reinforcements for positioning housing bushings, leading to increased manufacturing costs and inflexible positioning of bushings, limiting the ability to install them in intermediate positions.
A non-stressed transmission housing with a raised bead for introducing housing feedthroughs, allowing flexible positioning and use of a single housing blank for various applications with different feedthroughs, utilizing beads as thickened portions that protrude above surrounding areas.
Enables flexible positioning of housing feedthroughs and reduces manufacturing costs by using a single housing blank for multiple applications, eliminating the need for redesign and minimizing the number of reinforcements.
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] Gearbox housings with housing bushings are known from the prior art. To save costs and weight, the housing walls are only made as thick as necessary for strength reasons. Reinforcements are required in the area of the housing bushings. The reinforcements determine the position of the housing bushings.
[0003] It is possible to position the housing bushings flexibly if a gearbox housing has more reinforcements than housing bushings. Several reinforcements are then available for positioning the housing bushings. However, the unused reinforcements increase manufacturing costs. In addition, the position of the housing bushings continues to depend on the position of the reinforcements. It is not possible to install a housing bushing in an intermediate position.
[0004] The invention is based on the object of proposing a method.
[0005] This object is achieved by a method according to claim 1. Preferred developments of the method are contained in the subclaims.
[0006] A non-stressed transmission housing has at least one bead for the introduction of one or more housing feedthroughs. The bead is a thickened portion. It is characterized by being raised above one or more surrounding areas of the transmission housing. The surrounding areas directly border the bead. The surface of the bead is raised above the surfaces of the surrounding areas. The surface of the bead thus protrudes further into the surrounding space than the surfaces of the surrounding areas.
[0007] A housing feedthrough is a through-hole in a wall of the gearbox housing. A through-hole has exactly two openings. It is characterized by the fact that it connects the interior of the gearbox housing with its surroundings. The through-hole thus opens into both the interior and the surroundings of the gearbox housing. The through-hole can be designed as a through-hole, for example.
[0008] The one or more housing feedthroughs of the unstressed transmission housing open into the bead. This means that the bead has an opening for each of the housing feedthroughs.
[0009] The bead makes it possible to insert housing feedthroughs in different positions and / or with different housing feedthroughs. This allows a single housing blank to be flexibly used for various applications with different housing feedthroughs without redesign.
[0010] The one or more housing feedthroughs preferably each have one or more fixing means. These are preferably threads, in particular internal threads incorporated into the housing feedthroughs.
[0011] The fixing devices are used to secure oil lines, sensors, sealing plugs, or sight glasses, for example. The oil lines are preferably fixed on both sides of a housing feedthrough. The housing feedthrough then connects the oil lines to each other in an oil-conducting manner. A housing feedthrough closed with a plug serves, for example, as an oil filler or drain opening. A sight glass allows the oil level and condition of the oil in the transmission housing to be checked.
[0012] The bead is preferably rotationally symmetrical. In a preferred embodiment, the bead has the shape of a toroid. A toroid is a body of revolution whose axis of rotation passes through a hole in the body, thus not intersecting the body. In a toroidal bead, there are exactly two of the regions surrounding the bead described above.
[0013] In a further preferred embodiment, the transmission housing (not claimed) has an opening for an input or output shaft. The input shaft extends through the opening and is preferably sealed against the opening by one or more seals. According to the embodiment, the bead and the opening are arranged coaxially with each other. This means that the bead and the openings are coaxial. Thus, they have matching central or symmetry axes.
[0014] The unclaimed transmission housing is preferably further developed with a ring gear and a connecting piece. The ring gear is, for example, the ring gear of a planetary stage. A shaft that is non-rotatably connected to a planet carrier of the planetary stage preferably forms the above-described input or output shaft. The connecting piece connects the ring gear to the opening. In particular, the connecting piece itself can have the opening. Furthermore, the ring gear and the connecting piece are joined to one another or connected in one piece. According to the further development, the connecting piece has the bead.
[0015] In a further preferred embodiment, the bead has at least one flat surface. This surface is approximately in the shape of a circular ring. The one or more housing feedthroughs preferably open into the flat surface. The flat surface preferably serves as a sealing surface. The flat surface also simplifies the insertion of the one or more housing feedthroughs.
[0016] The bead is preferably designed as a single piece. In particular, according to the further development, no separating surface between different housing parts runs through the bead.
[0017] The bead is preferably further developed with at least one of the above-mentioned housing passages.
[0018] A method according to the invention serves to manufacture a first transmission housing and a second transmission housing.
[0019] The first transmission housing is manufactured from a first housing blank. Similarly, the second transmission housing is manufactured from a second housing blank. A housing blank refers to a semi-finished part from which the first transmission housing or the second transmission housing is manufactured.
[0020] According to the invention, the first housing blank and the second housing blank are structurally identical. This is the case if the housing blanks match in their physical parameters—particularly with regard to their material and geometric properties—within the scope of the manufacturing tolerances that occur.
[0021] The first housing blank and the second housing blank each have at least one bead. Different housing feedthroughs are introduced into the bead of the first housing blank and the bead of the second housing blank. At least one housing feedthrough introduced into the bead of the first housing blank differs from all housing feedthroughs introduced into the bead of the second housing blank.
[0022] A first housing feedthrough introduced into the bead of the first housing blank and a second housing feedthrough introduced into the bead of the second housing blank differ from one another if the first housing feedthrough and the second housing feedthrough differ with regard to their position relative to the respective housing blank or relative to corresponding reference points in the respective housing blank.
[0023] The use of identical housing blanks results in economies of scale, which can save costs.
[0024] The unclaimed transmission housing or a preferred embodiment is preferably part of a first transmission. This belongs to a transmission series that further comprises a second transmission. The second transmission has a second transmission housing, which is unclaimed or configured according to a preferred and unclaimed embodiment. The first transmission housing and the second transmission housing are made from structurally identical housing blanks.
[0025] A transmission series is an arrangement of at least two transmissions that are identical in terms of at least one technical feature. The first transmission and the second transmission of this series are identical in terms of the non-stressed design of their transmission housings.
[0026] A preferred embodiment of a non-claimed gear housing is shown in Fig. 1 In detail: Fig. 1 a section of a sectional view of a gearbox.
[0027] The Fig. 1 The section shown refers to a planetary stage with a ring gear 101, a rotatably mounted planet carrier 103, planet gears 105 and a sun gear 107. The planet gears 105 each mesh with the ring gear 101 and the sun gear 107.
[0028] The ring gear 101 is part of a transmission housing. The transmission housing also includes a housing cover 111. This cover has a flange that is bolted to the ring gear 101. The housing cover 111 also forms a bearing seat for a bearing 113, which rotatably supports the planet carrier 103.
[0029] A bead 115 extends within the housing cover 111. The bead 115 is rotationally symmetrical to a rotational axis of the planet carrier 103. It is provided with a through-threaded bore 117. A sealing plug 119 is screwed into the threaded bore 117.
[0030] The threaded hole 117 can be placed anywhere in the bead 115. Therefore, the housing in its illustrated form is suitable for various possible applications, with design modifications beyond the repositioning of the threaded hole 117. Reference symbol
