Description

[0001] The invention relates to a bathtub pillow.

[0002] A bathtub pillow is specifically understood to be a pillow that is suitable and intended for use in a bathtub filled with water.

[0003] Until now, bathtub cushions have been made from waterproof materials. This prevented water from penetrating the cushion. A particular disadvantage of such cushions is their buoyancy. This causes them to float, making them uncomfortable to use as padding in the bathtub.

[0004] Furthermore, the waterproof materials used – usually film-like plastic materials – do not have a particularly pleasant feel. These types of bathtub pillows especially lack the typical textile feel one is accustomed to from conventional pillows.

[0006] The invention is therefore based on the objective of providing a bathtub pillow that, compared to a bathtub pillow according to the prior art, offers a more pleasant feel and more comfortable handling.

Claims

1. Bathtub pillow for use as a pillow in a bathtub filled with water, the bathtub pillow having a pillowcase and a filling disposed inside the pillowcase, wherein the pillowcase is waterproof and all the same water-permeable so that when the bathtub pillow is introduced into a bathtub filled with water, water can penetrate into the bathtub pillow, thus counteracting buoyancy of the bathtub pillow, characterized in that the filling is contained in a ticking disposed inside the pillowcase, wherein the ticking is made of a 3D mesh tissue.

2. Bathtub pillow according to claim 1, characterized in that the bathtub pillow has a weight for weighing down the bathtub pillow.

3. Bathtub pillow according to claim 2, characterized in that the weight has a shell filled with bulk material.

6. Bathtub pillow according to claim 5, characterized in that the synthetic fibre tissue is a PVC coated polyester tissue.

7. Bathtub pillow according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the synthetic fibre tissue has a porosity of at least 4%, in particular of at least 6%.

8. Bathtub pillow according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the filling contains fibre balls, in particular of siliconized hollow fibre balls.
