Description

[0001] The invention relates to a rim system comprising a rim, an adapter disc for mounting on a wheel hub of a vehicle, a plurality of wheel bolts or a plurality of wheel nuts for fastening the rim to the adapter disc, a plurality of bolts or a plurality of nuts for fastening the adapter disc to the wheel hub, and a wheel hub centering ring for centering the adapter disc relative to the wheel hub. The invention also relates to an arrangement comprising a rim system according to the invention and a wheel hub of a vehicle.

[0002] From the European patent specification EP 0 641 677 B1 a rim system is known with a rim, with an adapter disc for mounting on a wheel hub of a vehicle, with several wheel bolts for fastening the rim to the adapter disc, with several bolts for fastening the adapter disc to the wheel hub and with a wheel hub centering ring for centering the adapter disc relative to the wheel hub, see Fig. 41 therein.

[0003] The invention is intended to improve a rim system and an arrangement with a rim system.

[0004] According to the invention, a rim system having the features of claim 1 and an arrangement having the features of claim 15 are provided for this purpose. Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

[0005] In a rim system with a rim, with an adapter disc for mounting on a wheel hub of a vehicle, with several wheel bolts or several wheel nuts for attaching the rim to the adapter disc, with several bolts or several nuts for attaching the adapter disc to the wheel hub and with a wheel hub centering ring for centering the adapter disc relative to the wheel hub, it is provided that a rim centering ring is provided for centering the rim relative to the adapter disc.

[0006] The rim centering ring forms a separate component and is not integral with the adapter disc. The provision of a rim centering ring allows precise centering of the rim relative to the adapter disc and thus indirectly relative to the wheel hub. The rim centering ring makes it possible to compensate for rim tolerances. Furthermore, the provision of a rim centering ring allows the adapter disc to be designed as a simple, essentially flat disc. This significantly reduces the manufacturing costs for the rim system according to the invention. The rim system according to the invention is also flexible in that different rims can be centered using different rim centering rings. One and the same adapter disc can thus be used with different rims. The wheel hub centering ring can be provided for placement between the adapter disc and the wheel hub.The wheel hub centering ring, for example, has a centering section arranged radially between the adapter disc and an outer circumference of the wheel hub. The rim centering ring is intended to be arranged between the rim and the adapter disc. The rim centering ring can, for example, have a section protruding from the rim, which protruding section is then centered in a central bore of the adapter disc. The rim centering ring can be attached to the rim or to the adapter disc. The rim centering ring and the wheel hub centering ring can be combined into a single, one-piece component, which component is formed separately from the adapter disc.

[0007] In a further development of the invention, the rim centering ring is made of plastic.

[0008] This allows the rim centering ring to be manufactured cost-effectively in large quantities. For example, the rim centering ring can be designed as a plastic injection-molded part, particularly made of fiber-reinforced plastic. The rim centering ring only fulfills its essential mechanical function during rim assembly, by enabling precise centering of the rim relative to the adapter disc. During driving, the rim centering ring is not subjected to any load and does not have to fulfill any mechanical holding function. For example, making the rim centering ring from plastic allows the rim centering ring to be manufactured with a slight oversize, so that the rim centering ring is centered on the adapter disc without any play, possibly resulting in slight deformation.

[0009] In a further development of the invention, a centering surface of the rim centering ring has several knobs or projections.

[0010] Such knobs or projections protrude from the centering surface and can be flattened or deformed in sections during centering. This allows tolerances to be compensated for. The knobs or projections form sections of the centering surface with an excess. When the rim with the rim centering ring is placed on the adapter disc, these projections are usually deformed to varying degrees and can therefore compensate for tolerances in the dimensions of the adapter disc. In the same way, the rim centering ring can also compensate for tolerances in the rim. The knobs or projections protrude, for example, 0.15 mm to 0.2 mm beyond the centering surface. The knobs or projections can, for example, have a diameter or a width of 0.3 mm to 0.4 mm. The projections can, for example, have a length of 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm. The projections can extend over only part of the length of the centering surface.

[0011] In a further development of the invention, a centering surface of the rim centering ring is slightly conical.

[0012] The centering surface of the rim centering ring can taper away from the rim when the rim centering ring is mounted on the rim. This allows the rim centering ring to be easily positioned against the center opening of the adapter disc. By inserting the centering surface into the center opening of the adapter disc, the rim centering ring, together with the rim, automatically centers itself relative to the adapter disc. The conicity of the centering surface is only a few tenths of a millimeter, for example. 1 10 mm until 3 10 mm .

[0013] In a further development of the invention, the rim centering ring is attached to the rim with locking means.

[0014] In this way, the rim centering ring can be securely fastened in a center hole of the rim without any play.

[0015] In a further development of the invention, the rim centering ring has at least two locking lugs and the rim has a circumferential groove in a central opening, wherein the at least two locking lugs are provided for locking into the circumferential groove.

[0016] The locking connection between the locking lugs and the groove engages by simply inserting the rim centering ring into the center opening of the rim. The locking connection can be opened again without tools, for example, by applying firm pressure.

[0017] In a further development of the invention, a centering surface of the rim centering ring is designed to interact with an inner circumference of a central opening of the adapter disc.

[0018] This way, very little space is required for the centering surface when the rim system is installed. Because the centering surface engages the inner circumference of a central opening in the adapter disc, more space is available on the adapter disc for the wheel bolts and the bolts connecting them to the wheel hub.

[0019] In a further development of the invention, the adapter disc has several threaded bushings for screwing in the wheel bolts or several screw bolt inserts for screwing on the wheel nuts.

[0020] By equipping the adapter disc with threaded bushings or screw bolt inserts, the threaded bushings or screw bolt inserts can be manufactured in large quantities from highly resilient materials, such as steel or titanium. The adapter disc, on the other hand, can be made of a lightweight, less resilient material, such as aluminum.

[0021] In a further development of the invention, the adapter disc has at least one projection on its surface facing the rim, wherein the projection is provided for engaging in a matching recess in the rim.

[0022] Such a projection can facilitate the correct mounting of the rim on the adapter disc, allowing the wheel bolts to be inserted into the rim or the threaded bushings or threaded holes of the adapter in the correct position. Such a projection can also be advantageous during driving to prevent the rim from twisting relative to the adapter disc when high torque is applied to the rim.

[0023] In a further development of the invention, the threaded bushings have a collar projecting beyond the surface of the adapter disc facing the rim, wherein the collar forms the projection for engaging in a matching recess in the rim.

[0024] A collar on the threaded bushings can facilitate the correct installation of the rim and can also serve to absorb torque, reliably preventing relative rotation of the rim and adapter disc even when very high torque is applied between the adapter disc and the rim. The recess can be formed by a through hole in the rim for inserting a wheel bolt.

[0025] In a further development of the invention, the wheel hub centering ring has a centering surface which is designed to cooperate with an outer circumference of the wheel hub.

[0026] In a further development of the invention, the centering surface of the wheel hub centering ring has several knobs or projections.

[0027] The knobs or projections on the wheel hub centering ring can be designed in the same way as those on the rim centering ring.

[0028] In a further development of the invention, the centering surface of the wheel hub centering ring is slightly conical.

[0029] The conicity of the centering surface of the wheel hub centering ring can be the same as the conicity of the centering surface of the rim centering ring.

[0030] In a further development of the invention, the wheel hub centering ring has locking means for fastening the wheel hub centering ring to the adapter disc.

[0031] The locking devices can be engaged and released without tools, for example.

[0032] In a further development of the invention, a set with several adapter discs is provided, wherein the adapter discs of the set have a different thickness and / or different bolt circles for connection to the wheel hub.

[0033] In this way, for example, different track widths or wheel spacers can be achieved by using adapter discs of varying thickness. The adapter discs primarily allow adaptation to different wheel hub bolt circles. The same rim can thus be mounted on vehicles from different manufacturers with different bolt circles by inserting different adapter rings.

[0034] In a further development of the invention, a set with several wheel hub centering rings is provided, wherein the wheel hub centering rings of the set have a different diameter of the centering surface.

[0035] In addition to different bolt circles, different vehicle manufacturers generally also use different wheel hub diameters, particularly the outer diameters of the wheel hubs used to center the rim on the wheel hub in production vehicles. This outer diameter of the wheel hubs can even vary between vehicles from the same manufacturer, as can the bolt circles. A set of multiple wheel hub centering rings, with each of the wheel hub centering rings having a different diameter of the centering surface, allows the same rim to be mounted on different vehicles, if necessary by inserting different adapter discs and wheel hub centering rings.

[0036] In a further development of the invention, a set with several rim centering rings is provided, wherein the rim centering rings of the set are designed to center differently designed rims.

[0037] The problem underlying the invention is also solved by an arrangement with a rim system according to the invention and a wheel hub of a vehicle, wherein the adapter disc is fastened to the wheel hub with a plurality of screws or a plurality of nuts, wherein a wheel hub centering ring is provided for centering the adapter disc relative to the wheel hub, wherein the rim is fastened to the adapter disc with a plurality of wheel bolts or a plurality of wheel nuts, and wherein a rim centering ring is provided for centering the rim relative to the adapter disc.

[0038] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the claims and the following description of preferred embodiments of the invention in conjunction with the drawings. Individual features of the various illustrated and described embodiments can be combined in any way without exceeding the scope of the invention. This also applies to the combination of individual features without other features with which they are presented in conjunction. The drawings show: Fig. 1 is an exploded view of an arrangement according to the invention with a rim system according to the invention, Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the rim system of the Fig. 1 in another exploded view, Fig. 3 a sectioned sectional view of the rim of the rim system of the Fig. 1 , Fig. 4the rim centering ring of the rim system of the Fig. 1 , Fig. 5the adapter disc of the rim system mounted on a wheel hub of the Fig. 1 , Fig. 6 a sectional view of the adapter disc of the rim system of the Fig. 1 , Fig. 7a threaded bushing of the adapter disc of the rim system of the Fig. 1 , Fig. 8a wheel hub centering ring of the rim system of the Fig. 1 , Fig. 9 a sectional view of an arrangement with the rim system of the Fig. 1 in the assembled state, Fig. 10 a partial enlargement of the sectional view of the Fig. 9 , Fig. 11 several different adapter discs of the rim system according to the invention and Fig. 12 several different wheel hub centering rings of the rim system according to the invention.

[0039] Fig. 1 shows an arrangement with a rim system 10 according to the invention with a rim 12 and an adapter disc 14, which is provided for mounting on a wheel hub 16. A total of five wheel bolts 18 are provided for fastening the rim 12 to the adapter disc 14. A total of five screws 20 are provided for fastening the adapter disc 14 in threaded holes of the wheel hub 16. A wheel hub centering ring 22 is provided for centering the adapter disc 14 relative to the wheel hub 16. A rim centering ring 24 is provided for centering the rim 12 relative to the adapter disc 14. A brake disc 26 is provided on the wheel hub 16, which can be omitted within the scope of the invention or, for example, can be replaced by a brake drum. The brake disc 26 covers the Fig. 1 the threaded holes of the wheel hub 16.

[0040] To mount the rim system 10 on the wheel hub 16, the wheel hub centering ring 22 is first snapped into the center opening of the adapter disc 14. The adapter disc 14 is then pushed onto the wheel hub 16. The wheel hub centering ring 22 is positioned between the outer circumference of the wheel hub 16 and the adapter disc 14, thus ensuring exact centering of the adapter disc 14 relative to the wheel hub 16. The adapter disc 14 is fastened to the wheel hub in this centered state by means of the screw 20. The screws 20 are inserted through through holes 28 in the brake disc 26 and then screwed into threaded holes in the wheel hub 16, which are located in Fig. 1 are concealed. After fastening the adapter disc, the rim 12 is arranged on the adapter disc 14, wherein a rim centering ring 24 is fastened to the rim 12 and is inserted into a central opening of the adapter disc 14 in order to center the rim 12 relative to the adapter disc 14, and the rim 12 is then fastened to the adapter disc 14 by means of the wheel bolts 18. The adapter disc 14 is provided with a total of five threaded bushings 30 into which the wheel bolts 18 can be screwed. The threaded bushings 30 have a circumferential collar that projects beyond the surface of the adapter disc 14 facing the rim 12. The threaded bushings 30 engage with their collar in recesses in the rim on the side of the rim facing the adapter disc 14, wherein these recesses in Fig. 1 are not visible. The rim can thus be very easily positioned relative to the adapter disc in the direction of rotation. The collar of the threaded bushings 30, in conjunction with the recesses in the rim 12, also ensures reliable torque transmission between the rim 12 and the adapter disc 14. The adapter disc 14 is connected to the wheel hub 16 in a rotationally fixed manner by the screws 20.

[0041] The rim centering ring 24 is clipped into a central opening of the rim 12, which is Fig. 1 is concealed. The rim centering ring 24 then engages with a centering surface 34 on the inner circumference 36 of the central opening of the adapter disc 14 and thereby ensures exact centering of the rim 12 to the adapter disc 14. Since the adapter disc 14 is already exactly centered to the outer circumference of the wheel hub 16 by means of the wheel hub centering ring 22, the rim centering ring 24 can ensure that the rim 12 is exactly centered to the wheel hub 16. Once the centering surface 34 rests on the adapter disc 14 and the rim 12 is exactly centered to the adapter disc 14, the wheel bolts 18 are screwed into the threaded bushings 30 in order to securely fasten the rim 12 to the adapter disc 14 and thus indirectly also to the wheel hub 16.

[0042] The rim system 10 according to the invention has significant advantages over conventional rims, since the adapter disc 14 and the wheel hub centering ring 22 allow adaptation to different outer circumferences and bolt circles of wheel hubs 16. Vehicles from different manufacturers, as well as different vehicles from the same manufacturer, can have different wheel hubs 16. These differences affect not only the bolt circle, i.e., the circular radius on which the threaded holes in the wheel hub 16 are arranged, but also the outer circumference of the wheel hub 16, which serves to center the adapter disc 14 and also to center rims. The rim system 10 according to the invention can therefore be used extremely flexibly and the rim 12 can be fastened to wheel hubs 16 with different bolt circles and different outer circumferences of a centering surface of the wheel hub 16 by means of different adapter discs 14 and different wheel hub centering rings 22.

[0043] In addition, the rim centering ring 24 ensures exact centering of the rim 12 to the adapter disc 14. This solves the problem of conventional rim systems that the centering of the rim 12 to the adapter disc 14 and thus ultimately to the wheel hub 16 cannot be carried out with sufficient precision. As already mentioned in Fig. 1 As can be seen, the centering surface 34 of the rim centering ring 24 engages the inner circumference 36 of the center bore of the adapter disc 14. This saves space, and both surfaces of the adapter disc 14 can be fully utilized for arranging the threaded bushings 30 and for arranging the heads of the screws 20.

[0044] The provision of threaded bushings 30 in the adapter disc 14 allows the adapter disc 14 itself to be manufactured from a very lightweight material, for example, aluminum or an aluminum alloy. The threaded bushings 30 can be made of steel or another high-strength, lightweight material, for example, titanium, and pressed into the adapter disc 14. The bolts 20 and the wheel bolts 18 can also be made of a very lightweight and high-strength material, for example, titanium. This provides a very stable connection between the rim 12 and the wheel hub 16, while simultaneously reducing the unsprung masses on the wheel suspension of a vehicle.

[0045] Fig. 2 shows a sectional view of the arrangement of the Fig. 1 in an exploded view and from a slightly different angle. In this view, the structure of the wheel hub 16 can be seen more clearly. The wheel hub 16 has a central bore with an internal toothing 40. The internal toothing 40 can be pushed onto an external toothing of a drive shaft (not shown), for example a half-shaft extending from the differential. The internal toothing 40 can, of course, also be connected to the output shaft of an electric motor. The central bore of the wheel hub and the internal toothing 14 can, of course, also be omitted within the scope of the invention, for example, if a non-driven wheel is present. The wheel hub 16 has an annular projection 42, the outer circumference 44 of which provides a centering surface for a conventional rim or for the adapter disc 14 of the rim system 10 according to the invention. Fig. 2 one of the threaded holes 46 of the wheel hub 16 can also be seen, into which the screws 20 are screwed, which then fasten the adapter disc 14 to the wheel hub 16.

[0046] Instead of the screws 20 and the threaded holes 46, the wheel hub 16 can also have screw bolts onto which the adapter disc 14 is then pushed and then fastened to the wheel hub 16 with suitable nuts.

[0047] Within the scope of the invention, the adapter disc 14 can also be provided with screw bolts instead of the threaded bushings 30, which are then inserted through through openings of the rim 12, so that the rim 12 is then fastened to the screw bolts of the adapter disc 14 with suitable nuts instead of by means of the wheel bolts 18.

[0048] In Fig. 2 An internal centering surface of the wheel hub centering ring 22 on the adapter disc 14 can be seen. The wheel hub centering ring 22 is shown in the illustration of the Fig. 2 already engaged in the central opening of the adapter disc 14. The centering surface of the wheel hub centering ring 22 is slightly conical and opens towards the wheel hub 16. In addition, the centering surface is provided with several strip-like projections 48, of which Fig. 2 only two are visible. These projections 48 protrude slightly beyond the centering surface and are provided to compensate for tolerances of the outer circumference 44 of the wheel hub 16. If the outer circumference 44 exceeds the nominal dimension, the projections 48 are compressed and possibly plastically deformed together with the adapter disc 14 when the wheel hub centering ring 22 is pushed on. This results in the adapter disc 14 sitting on the outer circumference 44 of the wheel hub 16 without any play. If the outer circumference 44 of the wheel hub 16 is at the nominal dimension or possibly even slightly below the nominal dimension, only the projections 48 rest on the outer circumference 44 and can therefore still ensure that the adapter disc 14 is centered relative to the wheel hub 16 without any play.

[0049] In the presentation of the Fig. 2 The rim centering ring 24 is also shown in a position in which it is engaged in the center hole of the rim 12. The centering surface 34 of the rim centering ring 24 protrudes in the direction of the adapter disc 14. When the rim 12 is placed on the adapter disc 14, the centering surface 34 of the rim centering ring 24 comes into contact with the inner circumference of the center hole of the adapter disc 14 and can thus ensure exact centering of the rim 12 relative to the adapter disc 14. The centering surface 34 is also provided with strip-like projections which Fig. 2 are not visible, and which can ensure play-free centering of the rim 12 relative to the adapter disc 14 even when the center bore of the adapter disc 14 is subject to tolerances. The centering surface 34 is slightly conical and tapers from the rim 12 towards the adapter disc 14. As a result, the centering surface 34 of the rim centering ring 24 can be inserted into the center opening of the adapter disc 14 in a very simple manner.

[0050] The representation of the Fig. 3 shows a partially enlarged sectional view of the rim 12 with the rim centering ring 24. The outer centering surface 34 of the rim centering ring 24 can be seen. The conical design of the centering surface 34 is in Fig. 3 cannot be recognized because it is very weak and the centering surface 34 is only a few tenths of a millimeter away from the rim 12, for example 1 10 mm until 2 10 mm , tapered. Within the scope of the invention, the centering surface 34 does not necessarily have to be conical.

[0051] The rim centering ring 24 has at its end inserted into the central opening 50 of the rim 12 a circumferential collar with a total of four locking lugs 52, of which Fig. 3 Only three are visible. These locking lugs 52 snap into a circumferential groove 54 in the central opening 50 of the rim 12, thereby securing the rim centering ring 24 in the central opening 50 without play.

[0052] The rim centering ring 24 is advantageously made of plastic. Fiber-reinforced plastic can be selected. The rim centering ring is advantageously manufactured as a plastic injection-molded part.

[0053] The wheel hub centering ring 22 is also advantageously manufactured as a plastic part, in particular as a plastic injection-molded part.

[0054] Fig. 4 shows the rim centering ring 24 in an oblique front view. Visible is the circumferential centering surface 34, which is provided with several strip-like projections 56 extending in the axial direction. The strip-like projections 56 serve, as explained, to center the rim 12 relative to the adapter disc 14 without play. If the central opening of the adapter disc 14 has a smaller diameter than the target diameter, the strip-like projections 56 are compressed and, if necessary, plastically deformed. If the central opening of the adapter disc 14 has its target diameter or even a diameter slightly larger than the target diameter, the projections 56 rest against the inner circumference of the central opening and thus ensure play-free centering of the rim 12 relative to the adapter disc 14.

[0055] Clearly visible are Fig. 4 also the locking lugs 52 of the rim centering ring 24, which are arranged on spring-loaded locking arms. The rim centering ring 24 is constructed in one piece and, when inserted into the central opening 50 of the rim 12, see Fig. 3 , the locking lugs 52 are first deflected radially inward until they reach the level of the circumferential groove 54 in the central opening 50 of the rim 12. The locking lugs 52 then snap outward and engage in the circumferential groove 54. This secures the rim centering ring 24 to the rim 12.

[0056] Fig. 5 shows an enlarged view of the wheel hub 16 with the adapter disc 14 attached thereto. This view shows how the wheel hub centering ring 22 is arranged between the inner circumference of the central opening of the adapter disc 14 and the outer circumference 44 of the wheel hub 16 and thereby ensures play-free centering of the adapter disc 14 relative to the wheel hub 16.

[0057] Fig. 6 shows a sectional view of the adapter disc 14. Threaded bushings 30 are pressed into appropriately designed through holes in the adapter disc 14, into which the wheel bolts 18 are then screwed. The threaded bushings 30 are pressed into the adapter disc 14 in a rotationally fixed manner.

[0058] The adapter disc 14 has through-holes 58 for the insertion of the screws 20. The through-holes have a conical contact section and a cylindrical through-hole section. The screws 20 have a conical contact collar that lies in the conical section of the through-holes 58.

[0059] The wheel hub centering ring 22 is inserted into the central opening of the adapter disc 14 and locked into a circumferential groove 60 in the central opening of the adapter disc 14 by means of several locking lugs. The centering surface of the wheel hub centering ring 22 lies within the central opening of the adapter disc 14. This results in an extremely space-saving arrangement. Fig. 6 The projections 48 on the centering surface of the wheel hub centering ring 22 can be seen.

[0060] It is in Fig. 6 It can be seen that the wheel hub centering ring 22 does not have the Fig. 6 right-hand surface of the adapter disc 14 and, on the other hand, only extends into the central opening of the adapter disc 14 by slightly more than half the axial length. Starting from the Fig. 6 On the surface of the adapter disc 14 shown on the left, which faces the rim in the assembled state, a section of the inner circumference of the central opening of the adapter disc 14 is still free, and radially within the inner circumference of the central opening there is still free space 62 into which the rim centering ring 24 can then be inserted in sections. Specifically, the centering surface 34 of the rim centering ring 24 is inserted into this free space 62 and then rests against the inner circumference of the central opening of the adapter disc 14. This achieves an extremely space-saving arrangement in the axial direction.

[0061] Fig. 7 shows one of the threaded bushings 30 which are pressed into the adapter disc 14, see Fig. 6 The threaded bushing 30 has a circumferential toothing 64, with the individual teeth of the toothing 64 extending in the axial direction. The threaded bushing 30 can thus be pressed in the axial direction into a suitable through-hole in the adapter disc 14. The threaded bushing 30 is then seated in the adapter disc 14 in a rotationally fixed manner. The threaded bushing 30 can be made of steel, but also of titanium, for example, in order to be both highly strong and very lightweight.

[0062] Fig. 8 shows the wheel hub centering ring 22 from an angled front view. Visible are the locking lugs on the wheel hub centering ring 22 as well as several projections 48 on the centering surface of the wheel hub centering ring 22, which is then pushed onto the outer circumference 44 of the wheel hub 16.

[0063] Fig. 9 shows a sectional view of an arrangement with the rim system 10 according to the invention of Fig. 1 and the wheel hub 16. The section plane passes, on the one hand, through one of the wheel bolts 18 with which the rim 12 is attached to the adapter disc 14. The section plane also passes through one of the bolts 20, which engage in threaded holes 46 of the wheel hub 16 to secure the adapter disc 14.

[0064] In Fig. 9 It is also clearly visible how the collar of the threaded bushing 30, which protrudes beyond the surface of the adapter disc 14 facing the rim 12, engages into a matching recess in the rim 12. This allows the rim 12 to be precisely pre-positioned when placed on the adapter disc 14, so that the wheel bolts 18 can be screwed in without any problems. Furthermore, this protruding collar can also be used to transfer torque from the rim 12 to the adapter disc 14 and ultimately to the wheel hub 16, or vice versa. In vehicles with very high torques, this engagement of the collar of the threaded bushing 30 in a matching recess in the rim 12 ensures a secure and torque-resistant attachment of the rim 12 to the adapter disc 14 and thus to the wheel hub 16.

[0065] Fig. 10 shows an enlarged section of the view of the Fig. 9 . In this view, it can be clearly seen that the centering surface 34 of the rim centering ring 24 rests against the inner circumference of the central opening of the adapter disc 14 without any play and thus ensures exact, play-free centering of the rim 12 relative to the adapter disc 14.

[0066] Further in Fig. 10 It can be seen that the wheel hub centering ring 22 ensures play-free centering of the adapter disc 14 relative to the outer circumference 44 of the wheel hub 16. The rim 12 is thus centered play-free relative to the wheel hub 16 by means of the rim system 10 according to the invention.

[0067] Further in Fig. 10 to see how the circumferential collar of the threaded bushing 30 engages in the matching recess of the rim 12.

[0068] Fig. 11 shows a set of several adapter discs 14 of the rim system according to the invention. The different adapter discs 14 have different thicknesses and can therefore achieve different offsets or different track widths when the rim 12 is mounted on the wheel hub 16 with different adapter discs 14.

[0069] Furthermore, the adapter discs 14 can have different hole circles of the through holes 58 through which the screws 20 are inserted to connect the adapter disc 14 to the wheel hub 16. If necessary, the through holes 58 can also be designed as elongated holes, in particular curved elongated holes.

[0070] Fig. 12 shows a set of different wheel hub centering rings 22 of the rim system according to the invention. The wheel hub centering rings 22 each have a different inner circumference of their centering surfaces in order to be mounted on differently designed wheel hubs 16. By means of the different wheel hub centering rings 22 of the Fig. 12 The adapter disc 14 can thus be adapted to a wide variety of wheel hub outer diameters using the set shown.
